At last the dark brute found himself exiting the Nigori Marshlands and entering the Fukai Waterfalls. No matter where Harbinger went he could smell the disgusting scent of what he considered immorality. Excitedly, he began to advance deeper into the pack, knowing that his hunt was only just beginning. Wolves leading alternative life styles would fear his presence once he made himself known to the entire pack---regardless of what it took. Harbinger only hoped that the Fukai Waterfall Pack would be a bit more hospitable than the Nigori. After all, the brute was well respected across the entirely of Aelyn, so he expected a warm welcome.
Harbinger raised his nose toward the sky and took a long deep sniff of the wind. Malevolently, he licked his lips and pressed on knowing that there were potential victims thriving or just entering the packlands.
"I wonder who the Alpha or Alphess is of this packland...it's been quite some time..." Harbinger whispered under his breath as he focused his sights on the interior of the land where he'd hopefully find the Fukai Den.

Like a few times before, Eden was wandering the land enjoying the beauty of the wilderness. It was lovely. Many times during her lovely stroll, she began to prance among the beautiful vegetation. The fae was in the midst of one of her prancing moments when a new scent caught her attention. Eden paused mid-prance.
She raised her muzzled high in the air and took a long wiff. A brute had wandered onto the land. Maybe purposefully. Maybe accidentally. The femme didn't know. 'Should I greet this wolf?' she thought. Eden thought for only a moment before deciding. 'Where's the harm in greeting a visitor?'
Eden's paws padded along the grassy floor in the direction she believed the brute was. It took merely a couple minutes to come to the scene. As she walked into the clearing, it seemed as if he was scenting the air. It was odd when he began the lick his chops. Eden raised a brow, but shrugged it off.
"Hello, welcome to the Fukai lands. I'm Eden a member of the Fukai Waterfall Pack. May I help you?"

Harbinger's ears perked up as he heard the voice of this very exotic looking wolf. The black on her body seemed as dark as his own fur, and her silver leg stood out as prominently as the moon in the night sky. Eden truly was one of the most beautiful wolves he had ever sat his eyes upon.
"Um hello. I'm Harbinger, I'm sure you've heard of me from around...granted you may not have depending on your age. I was looking for the Alpha or Alphess of this land....although I am particularly glad I stumbled upon such a beautiful wolf as yourself." Harbinger complimented as he eyed this wolf's beautiful markings. Even though he was on a mission, the thought of finding a potential mate to carry on his lineage was still a priority in his list of things to do.
"Forgive me if that sounded too straight forward...I didn't mean it offensively...I just figured I should inform you of your immense beauty." Harbinger flirted as he began to blush lightly, showing a side of himself that he often did not expose.

Eden's smile widened at his compliments and his flirtacious behavior. Had his beautiful black fur not been there, the fae was certain that she would have been able to see a slight blush. She let out a small laugh. "There's no need to apologize. I found your words rather sweet, not offensive at all. And, I must say, you are a very handsome brute yourself," the fae said, hopefully putting the brute at ease. Her silver eyes gazed into Harbinger's more ineresting ones. They were as black as obsidian, the only color was the fiery ring around his pupils. Interesting indeed.
Eden sat upon her black haunches, her tail curling around her fore paws. "As for the Alphess, she's currently residing in the den. I can take you to her if you wish," the fae offered. Her silver eyes gazed at the brute up and down, taking in his large appearance. His pelt, like his eyes, was pitch black. The only color was the deep maroon streak from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. Like her, Harbinger's markings were simple but beautiful. Eden had yet to meet a wolf with such markings.
The brute before her was very handsome, although she didn't have much to compare him with. The pack was made up of mostly females and the only males she had met was the pup, Haven, and an elder, Durion. Before the pack, she hadn't spent much time with other males to begin with, only her father and brothers. She decided, though, that she liked this brute. He was polite and endearing.
It was odd, though. Eden felt at ease in his presense even though they had just met of few moments go. The fae cocked her head to the side in thought. This predicament made her unbelievably curious. 'Well, I'll certainly have fun getting acquainted with this brute,' she thought.

Harbinger wore a slight smile on his face once he realized that his attractiveness appealed to this new beautiful wolf. He also tried his hardest to give her the impression that he thought the same regarding her attractiveness. Eden possessed a type of youthfulness that Harbinger always craved in a female---beyond the fact that he always wanted a family, the brute often let his hormones lead him on into shady directions. This was an instance where he would not allow that to happen for the sake of being successful in his endeavors.
"God your eyes...are captivating..." Harbinger brushed his tail against Eden's cheek gently as he stared deeply into her eyes. She would give me such beautiful children...I can see it now...
Harbinger was brought out of his thought by remember his mission to meet the Alphess of the pack land.
"I would be delighted if you'd accompany me to your Alphess. It isn't every day that I'm graced with the presence of one of the most beautiful wolves in all of Aelyn." Harbinger smiled once more, winking at Eden playfully.

Eden let out a small laugh. Harbinger's compliments were sweet and made her smile, but the fae hardly thought herself beautiful. In fact, she found herself rather plain and ordinary. She always wanted a mate and, eventually, pups of her own, but she kept her standards low. The fae had never allowed herself to be attracted to the untouchable.
That's what she believed Harbinger to be. He was devilishly handsome and charming. The brute sprouted lovely compliments that made Eden melt. So, in her eyes, he was too good for her. But, Eden allowed herself some hope. Harbinger had his pick of any fae in Aelyn, but here he was flirting with her.
"Apparently, you haven't seen many beautiful wolves, Harbinger," she replied, playfully. Eden allowed a smile to grace her lips as she stood. "The den's this way, " she stated as she turned away from the handsome brute.

Masina was scouting, wondering what the other wolves were up to, but again looking for one in particular. She flicked her tail and sighed as she made sure the territory markers were well labeled and the lands were secure. Her white form moved easily across the terrain, her golden feathers glinting majestically in the beams of light shining from above.
She had been padding along for a short while when a scent caught her nose. She turned to face the direction of the smell, only to find Eden with yet another new wolf. Wow, the Fukai lands have been so alive with new wolves and packmates. Well, this was something new and as Betess of the lands, Masina thought it her duty to greet any new wolf that came by.
"Greetings, newcomer. Hello, Eden. I hope all is well?" She smiled at the two wolves, her facade perfect, as always. Inwardly, she was lost and saddened, but outwardly, you couldn't tell this whatsoever. Her outward appearance was one of youth and of hope. She had plenty of time to practice this and she had become quite good at it. "On your way to the den area? I'm assuming he requested to meet with Cindershock, yes?" She smiled a kindred smile and sat calmly before the two wolves. Her sapphire eyes were searching, taking in the appearance of this wolf and trying to find any signs of hostility. "Oh, please forgive my rudeness. My name is Masina and I am Betess of these lands." SHe nodded her head kindly to the brute and smiled, waiting for either of the two to speak.[/blockquote]

Eden nodded her head to Masina, gracing the Betess with a smile. "Hello Masina. This is Harbinger. You're correct in your assumption. I was in the process of leading the way," she said, informing the Betess of earlier events. "Would you like to accompany us?"

Harbinger reveled in the midst of the two beautiful wolves he recently encountered. Despite Masina's divine beauty, something about Eden still attracted him more than anything. To him she seemed so mysterious and alluring---those are the traits Harbinger desired the most in a mate.
"No need to apologize," Harbinger smiled calmly, "If I were in your position, Betess, I would be cautious as well. A wise course of action."
Carefully Harbinger scanned Masina, recognizing her familiar markings. He knew that he had seen her at one point in his life, but never became acquainted. Part of the dark brute feared that Masina did not know what his purpose in the pack lands. Only the Alphas and Alphesses of each pack were aware of Harbinger's true purpose.

After speaking briefly with Masina, Eden looked behind her to face Harbinger. "Shall we proceed?" she asked, a broad smile gracing her features.
Hope for a relationship with the handsome brute seemed to die. Compared to Masina, she was plain, ordinary. Masina was beautiful, and held an angelic appearance. Eden was certain Harbinger's sights were now set upon the Betess. The Betess was more majestic and elegant, things that Eden would never have.
She mentally sighed, not showing her disappointment on her face. The fae padded forward and began leading the way to the den.

Masina listened to the brute and nodded. "Glad you agree." She wasn't sure about this wolf. Something about him threw her off and made her wonder. She wasn't about to let them wander alone, but she also wasn't going to show her distrust with this wolf. She was often very trusting, but this wolf had something about him that made her wonder, only because he reminded her of a wolf she had heard stories of from her parents several years ago. She padded forward, keeping close to Eden and escorting them to the packlands. If things seemed to be going okay, she would let him and her be. She didn't want to interfere with anything, but until this wolf could gain her full trust, she wasn't about to leave him alone with any of the pack members... though if this was the wolf she had heard stories of, she wouldn't have to worry.... none of their pack members fit his job description.[/blockquote]

Harbinger let out a deep sigh in his mind as he could tell that Masina was conflicted about whether or not she trusted him. Granted he knew that some wolves viewed his practices as evil, many of the pack land leaders allowed him to continue his work.
Has he prodded ahead with the two wolves next to him, Harbinger could not help but to continue eyeing the particularly attractive, Eden. God she was so beautiful....to Harbinger, she was the closest thing to an angel he'd ever seen. A dark angel to be exact. (wink).
"You are so...divine..." the brute whispered in her ear without even realizing that he had said it. Harbinger felt as though he was under some sort of spell, and he didn't know how to escape it.
Uneasily, Harbinger decided to bite his tongue and not rattle off anymore compliments---he did not want to give Masina any suspicion or drive Eden crazy.

Eden was roused from her thoughts by Harbinger's startling comment. She whipped her head around in shock. The fae gazed at the brute with wide silver eyes. Had he said what she thought he said? Did he actually have feelings for her? A feeling other than lust?
Eden let her gaze admire Harbinger as his head was turned. He was handsome. Usually she wasn't so...flirty. Harbinger seemed to invoke a whole rainbow of emotions within the fae. It was confusing. She felt hope, happiness, jealousy, confusion, amorous. The list could go on. Eden didn't know what wrong with her. It was as if she was put under some sort of trance.
"You're not to bad yourself, "she replied, also a whisper. Eden returned her sights to the front, thinking of what she just said. She was not acting like herself.

Harbinger found himself blushing outwardly at Eden's comment. He had never been complimented before by another wolf...let alone a female one. His job had prevented him from finding any sort of affection from another---the hunt always possessed the highest priority. A small part of Harbinger felt that by falling in love, he'd be defying his family's desire to continue its legacy---granted he did not want to admit that.
"Tell me about yourself, Eden...What do you enjoy doing with your free time? I'm so anxious to know more of this mysterious beauty I'm gazing upon." Harbinger romantically flirted as he eyed the female with glamour in his eyes.

Eden let out another chuckle as they continued there trek through the forest. "Well, I enjoy spending time with my pack mates or exploring the packlands. As you can see, I tend to meet all kinds of interesting wolves, when I explore." She snuck a glance at the brute beside her, her silver eyes radiating cheerfulness and admiration.
"So, Harbinger, why don't you tell me about yourself? I'm quite curious about you myself. We only have a few ways to go before we reach the den, and I doubt I'll be able to keep you to myself," she said flirtatiously. Her tail swung back and forth, grazing the brute's side once or twice. The fae had never been complimented like this. In fact, she couldn't remember at time when she had been complimented on at all. It was refreshing to say the least.

Harbinger thought to himself for a moment as to how he would explain himself, and what he does for a living. If there was anything he didn't want to do, it was to scare Eden. The brute was captivated by her and did not want to lose her at this point. Finally he thought of something that seemed more palatable to her gentler taste.
"Well, I enjoy hunting a lot. It's been a hobby of mine since I was a small pup....I kinda carry on my parents legacy in that regard." Harbinger wore a gentle smile on his face, "Other than that I'm fairly independent with my journeying....I haven't settled in any pack land since my wee days."
Suddenly as Harbinger turned his gaze away from Eden for a slight moment, he caught a glimpse of a brightly colored figure careening through the air above them. The sound of the howling gave him the clue that it was another wolf....a wolf that could obviously not fly.
A huge thud echoed into the forest as two multi-colored moth-like wings extended from a patch of foliage, shortly followed by a beautiful white silky body. After shaking off the leaves, it was clear that Celestia had obtained the ability to fly....especially since her wings had grown completely even though she did not master it. Reluctantly she turned while sneezing,
Masina!? There you are! echoed her telepathic voice.

Eden listened intently as Harbinger explained his hobby. A smile graced her maw. "Your parents must be very proud," she commented. He must have been close with them, to carry on the family tradition. The fae gave a small sigh. She missed her parents and her brothers. The tips of her ears drooped slightly at the memories of her family.
A frown formed on Eden's face when he mentioned that he had not been in a pack since then. "You must be very lonely, to wander Aelyn by yourself. No one to talk to," she said, turning her silver eyes to search Harbinger's features. The fae couldn't do what he did. That's why she had settled down in Fukai. Eden nudged Harbinger with her shoulder, letting him know she was there for him.
As they reached the outskirts of the den, Celestia popped out of no where. Eden tilted her head to the side, observing the odd pup. They hadn't been acquainted yet. Now was a good time. "Hello, Celestia. We haven't met yet. I'm Eden," she greeted, her frown replaced with a broad, welcoming smile. In the back of her mind, though, the prospect of Harbinger being alone nagged at her. He was a wonderful brute. She couldn't fathom why anyone wouldn't want to be near him.
