Cinder was just exiting the lake after a long and cool swim. She felt so refreshed. Like she could fly to the moon. Which was laughable, because there was no way she could do that! She shhok herself vigorously, trying to get all the water from her coat, even though it soaked it up like a sponge. Cinder unfurled her wings and shook those as well. With her wings unfurled she looked twice her size. Her wingspan had to be about 10 feet across. The black wings, surrounded by flames, shone from the droplets of water, and with the sunlight shining down on them it cast little tiny rainbows all over the place.
Cinder's ear pricked at the sound of Masina's howl, she wanted to discuss something important with her, Cinder shooker herself off once more, trying to rid herself of anymore water that had decided to cling to her coat. She licked off her maw smoothing down the fur, and licked vigorously over her back a few times, before running to the top of the falls. She reached the top and got a running start and took off into the air, it felt great to be flying again, her heart smiled.
While Cinder was flying she scanned the tree's looking for the white betess. After flying for about 3 minutes she reached her, Eden was with her along with waht looked like Celstia, and a newcomer. Masina looked tense, very upset. Whatever this wolf had done, it must have been bad to get Masina all riled up. Cinder had never seen her this angry.
Cinder landed as gracefully as she could and folded her wings to her sides once more. Her purple orbs took in what was before her. Eden was nuzzling the wolf, as if she had a new mate. Masina seemed very upset, at this newcomer Eden liked so much? and Celstia was standing off to the side, just watching, observing the scene before her.
She bowed her head to Celstia, making sure to greet her, and intorduce herself later, before turning to Masina and smiling slightly, trying to calm the fae some. "Hello Masina, I beleive you called for me?" She said calmly taking in the scene as Celstia was.

Masina waited patiently for Cindershock to show up. When she finally did, she turned her gaze to her, the fire instantly dying and holding nothing but respect for her Alphess. She bowed her head in respect and thought it best to communicate telepathically with her as to not have any listening ears on their conversation. Of course, Masina knew that Celestia would keep tabs on the conversation, though in a way, it would be better if she didn't, only because the conversation was intended to be private between Masina and Cindershock. Masina hoped that Cindershock wouldn't mind the mind reading and having her thoughts read by her, but she wanted to have as private a conversation as possible.
"Mind if I use my power of Telepathy for the conversation? Therefore we can talk in private without the interjection of the party in question?" [/b] She turned her eyes for a quick glance at Harbinger before turning her icy sapphire eyes to Cindershock. She held a sense of urgency in them as well as in her posture and she hoped that Cindershock would understand how she felt about the whole situation. She also hoped that Cindershock knew of her ability for Telepathy and wouldn't mind Masina using it. Another thought crossed her mind... Did Cindershock know she only had to think in order to have the conversation with Masina. Masina would do all the work, Cindershock just had to think her responses. Masina turned her gaze to Eden and gave her a very apologetic glance. "I cannot give him the chance you wish, for those I know and love.... their lives could be at stake."[/b] She moved forward to give her a reassuring nudge before returning to her spot next to Cindershock. Maybe the words Masina just spoke would show how urgent this topic was and how quickly it needed to be discussed and resolved.[/blockquote]

Harbinger felt a lump forming in his throat as he watched Cindershock approach and address Masina. Not only did that make him a bit nervous, but the Betess' inquiry caused his heart to rise into his esophagus. Harbinger did not want Masina to ruin any potential that he had with the beautiful Eden. After waiting years to find love, he was just about to achieve it...and he would do anything not to lose it.
"I know what she's going to say, reverent Cindershock." Harbinger broke the silence respectfully as he gently bowed in the presence of the Alphess.
Harbinger gently nuzzled Eden as he stared at Celestia demeaningly, then over toward Masina before turning back to Cindershock. The dark brute wanted nothing more than to be friendly to the pack he found himself in---after only moments of stepping onto the land he found a potential lover....well...an actual lover in his eyes.
"I know the lovely Masina is going to claim me as a murderous demonic brute....A past that I do not want to be a part of any longer..." Harbinger passionately spoke as he gazed into the mysterious eyes of Eden, "I beg of you honorable Cindershock....allow me to be guided away from the painful memory of my darker days....for I want to be apart of your revered and glorious pack...."

A brand new batch of tears began their descent down Eden's dark cheeks as Masina declared her decision. She wouldn't even give him a chance! Deep down, Eden knew Masina was doing it for the good of the pack, but it was still painful. The fae had trusted, and still trusts, Masina's words and decisions ever since the Betess had allowed her into the pack. But, she just couldn't go along with her on this, not this time.
Eden bowed her head as Cinder arrived on the scene. The fae quickly returned her head to Harbinger's chest, inhaling his scent. It seemed to calm her nerves, at least a little. She didn't want to lose him, as odd and irrational as it sounded. They had, literally, just met, but Eden felt so drawn to him, maybe even loved him. No matter what she did, though, she couldn't put her across to the Betess.
The fae wasn't one for praying, but she found herself mentally praying to whatever god there was to help Harbinger. "Please, Cinder, give him a chance. He's not like he was," the fae said, pleading with her Alphess. Her body was trembling again as her thoughts went to more pessimistic outcomes. What would she do if Cinder refused Harbinger and turned him away? Would she have to leave the pack in order to be with him? The fae didn't want to leave the pack. She didn't want to leave Harbinger, either.

'What has he done? What is wrong with him' Cinder thought to Masina. She couldn't understand why Masina was so angry, so worried about this brute. Eden had always beena good judge of character, and Masina, or at least Cinder thought Masina had always beleived in second chances.
Cinder listened to the brutes words carefully, a murderous brute? What? Who had he murdered? Cinder was getting very confused, for she had no idea what was going on. Hopefully some of her questions would be answered by Masina through her mind.
Eden, Cinder listened to her next, Eden seemed to love this new brute, and Masina seemed to hate him. What was going on!? Cionder walked around the male, to Eden, nothing seemed to be wrong with the brute, just a black one, with a maroon streak going down his back, from nose to tail. He seemed normal enough, but from past expeirences, Cinder had learned not to judge a wolf by their looks.
Cinder nuzzled Eden confortingly, hoping to calm the fae, to figure out what was going on. She narrowed her purple eyes at the newcomer thoughfully, he really did look normal enough and he seemed to love Eden back. Which in her eyes was great, Eden deserved love.
Cinder shook her head, she needed answers, and she needed them now! She needed to know what was going on, what had Masina and Eden so upset, and what did Celestia have to do with it? Why was this brute here? And what had he done to make such a rukus? "Who are you?" She asked him curiosly, she still didn't even know his name.

Harbinger's eyes brightened at the moment Cindershock addressed him. At least she was interested in knowing his identity and possibly knowing of his past. If there was anything the brute knew, it was that he should be truthful toward this Alphess---she seemed like quite the kindred spirit, and he did not want to ruin his chances of being accepted among wolven society.
"My name is Harbinger, reverent Cindershock. I was born in the Misuteriasu Mountains and ever since then I have been a loner traveling across the expanse of Aelyn." Harbinger took a deep gasp of breath when he realized that he should probably explain his history, after all Cindershock looked quite confused about the entire situation. "Masina has every right to be suspicious of me...I used to hunt wolves leading alternative lifestyles...a task passed down from my family line, and something that was embraced by every Alpha and Alphess in Aelyn years ago."
Harbinger nodded with immense regret in his eyes when he contemplated his darker past. He didn't want any of these noble wolves to think of him as some terrible murderer....especially since he was raised to be a killer virtually. All the brute wanted was a chance to be apart of a wonderful wolf pack and dedicate himself to a good cause.

Masina's eyes flared when the brute spoke up, but softened when Eden spoke. She had been keeping tabs on Cindershock's mind and was going to explain things when she addressed the brute. Masina, respectful of her Alphess, waited for her to finish and for Harbinger to answer her. Would Masina get a chance to get a word in?
"Okay, well I guess we'll all speak out in the open then. I flat out don't trust him. Yes, I believe in second chances, but this brute strikes me as the kind that won't change easily, if at all. He, on a whim, changed his mind about his mission without a second idea about it... I really don't trust him with the pack or with any new loners that might come to the lands. I've met some wolves that lead alternative lifestyles." [/b] She glared toward Harbinger, wondering what his reaction would be and keeping tabs on his mind to see if any thoughts flitted through it. "If you wish to accept him into the pack, then that's your choice. Just know I don't trust him and I will not trust him until he has proven himself. If he can do that, then he can have his second chance. Until then, I suggest, if you want to allow him in the pack, that there be some stipulations about it. I, for one, would prefer he didn't go anywhere without supervision. Another thing I would appreciate, should you both agree to it, is to have his every thought tabbed. I know its an invasion of privacy and I wouldn't, under normal circumstances, even fathom something... but I grew up with stories about him and I probably know him better than anyone else here. Yes, I understand that he was raised that way, but look at my brother Lucid. He was raised in the family I was raised in... doesn't that strike you as odd how different the two of us can be? Just because you're raised with ideals, doesn't mean you can or cannot follow them by your own. I flat out don't trust him and will not trust him until I've seen a definite show that he has truly changed."[/b] She never usually got so worked up about wolves and it was true that she generally was willing to give second chances, but there was something about this brute that screamed that he wasn't going to change. She turned her eyes to Cindershock, hoping she would understand her feelings.[/blockquote]

Eden simply watched as Cinder made a few rounds about Harbinger. She examined him from his nose to his tail. The fae could tell, from a mere glance, that Cinder found him normal enough, appearance wise anyway. As the Alphess stopped to nuzzle Eden, the fae returned the gesture. Almost immediatly afterwards, though, she returned her face to Harbinger's shoulder.
The fae knew Cinder would make an honest and fair choice. She was certain of it. Eden's silver eyes glanced up at Masina as she began to spout out possible conditions of Harbinger's stay. Almost as if she believed that Cinder would allow it. The hope that she had been grasping to seemed to grow. Could it be possible that they would permit Harbinger's inhabitance?
The fae let out a sigh, trying to calm herself. She didn't want to get her hopes up. At hearing sme of Masina's conditions, Eden grew outraged. Those rules were invasive to the brute's inner most thoughts! She was stunned that the words even left Masina's mouth. The fae knew it was of the best intentions, but it still angered her. She managed to restrain herself from speaking up, though. If this was what it took to allow Harbinger to stay, she'd have to get over it.
As long as he was able to stay and be happy, Eden would go along with it. The fae looked up into Harbinger's dark face. What did he think of the conditions? Could he live with them? She kept her silver eyes peeled upon his face, watching for any emotion to show.

Alternate life styles? What did that mean? Cinder's head was beginning to hurt. All this confusion, and hostility in the air. She could cut the tension with a claw! She cocked her head to the side curiously, and thought long and hard before suddenly knowing what he meant. "Oh, OH!" She exclaimed. He hunted gay wolves, wolves who like the other sex. That was wrong. Wolves should be free to live what they wanted to.
But he said he would change. Is he changing for Eden? Can he do it? Masina, Cinder knew thought he couldn't. Celestia, wasn't saying anything about it. Eden thought he could. It seemed Masina was trying to give him his second chance, but those conditions, they seemed so, invasive. Wrong, every thought he made, would be told to Masina? Maybe even Haven?
She suddenly felt a flash of sympathy for this wolf, this Harbringer, but it seemed fair enough. She didn't know if he would object, but she thought it was a good idea. "I will grant you access into our pack, only, and I do mean ONLY on a few conditions, as Masina said, you every thought to be monitored, and a pack wolf with you at all times when you go out." She knew it was harsh, but she would NOT let wolves she cared about get murdered because of their life choices.
"Eden, I trust you to go with him, and to make the correct decision, if he decides to do anything." She blinked solemnly at Eden, she knew it would hurt the fae to have to do anything to her Harbringer, but Cinder trusted that if he tried to harm another wolf because of their choices she would stop him. No matter how much she loved him, she hoped she would stop him.
She looked to Masina, telling her through her thoughts that this was her decision, and though she may not agree with it, she would have to accept it. She held her head up high and her tail curled over her back, this is what she had decided. She thought Harbringer might be more comfortable with Eden following him, rather than some strange wolf, especially if he was going to try to be alone with Eden, and woo her. Though to Cinder it looked like Eden didn't need much more wooing. "I hope you can really, abandon you past, for this new future."

A bright smile formed on Harbinger's face as he glanced down at Eden, confirming his happiness in the light of Cindershock's positive feedback. He was so gratified that she had the ability to see beyond his dark past and hope for a brighter future. It wasn't often that a wolf displayed any sort of hope in Harbinger's well-being---except for Eden that is. Even though this decision was made with great care, Harbinger knew that Masina nor Celestia would approve of such a thing, granted they really had no choice but to do so in instance since the Alphess had made her decision.
"I trust that Eden will be my escort a great deal of the time, we trust each other and she too is a pack member of this proud congregation." Harbinger wore a large smile on his face, and his eyes shined with positive intensity, "You have nothing to fear from me, Cindershock. And neither do you my dear Masina." Harbinger directly concentrated on Masina after his last comment, managing to stare at her intensely before he faced Celestia for a brief moment although not addressing her.
Something Harbinger found in Celestia he did not find right. Not only did the wolf not say anything during the entire conversation (she did telepathically but he obviously didn't know), but she seemed almost completely emotionless as well. If there was anything he didn't like, it was feeling threatened by the adolescent canine.
Despite these unrelenting foreboding feelings about Celestia, Harbinger tried to remain positive. He knew that he would be tested as soon as a wolf with an alternative sexuality passed; however he knew that he was ready to face such things. He would do it for Eden.
Celestia was well aware that Harbinger did not really value her presence at all. Granted it really did not bother her, the fae did feel a bit offended that the brute was making all attempts at ignoring her. Slowly, Celestia faced Masina and raised an eyebrow.
Well it looks Cindershock has finally spoken...so far I'm sensing a good deal of confidence from Harbinger regarding this situation.[/i] Celestia whispered telepathically before continuing her train of thought, I still don't trust him either, my friend...but I think we must give him a chance since both Eden and Cindershock are convinced of that...And I think we are going to see his true colors soon enough...I can feel the presence of two wolves entering this pack...one of which being Obsidian... Celestia's voice trailed off as she awaited a response from Masina.
