Shoe felt he nerves shake after the aftermath of having told off whom she hoped would be her Alpha. She probably should see someone.. It was too late to avoid a scarring of her tissue now but maybe the pack healers could make the pain go away.
She gazed across and up into the eyes of the Alpha. In them she saw hatred. But it was directed not at those around him but at himself. She saw kindness and love for all and she knew that she didn’t need to question his abilities anymore. His eyes looked beautiful in their salvation and she walked closer to him then.
He looked troubled. The air about him seemed almost threatened but Shoe had no idea what it could be. She knew nothing of Lucid and his plans to reign the world she now called home, only that some thought had really bugged this wolf. Her thoughts were cut short now as the horror left the Alpha’s maw and he stretched out a wing to the fae kindly. He moved to lift her head and Shoe smile softly at them both. She was glad he was as good as he’d seemed and that Dmae wouldn’t have to worry anymore. His words were also perfect.
No Alpha should rule through fear and that was not the Alpha he was, he also respected privacy and that was something that meant a lot to Shoe. She sighed her own little sigh of relief as it felt like a lot of pressure had been lifted. It wasn’t enough though as a new thought occurred to her and she momentarily gazed to her side and where her tail tried to cover her shame before turning her head back to him, her mane swaying lightly in the breeze. He addressed her then and she looked up, her grey odd eyes meeting his and now, she smiled. He turned juts to Keith and nodded, it was good that he was still cautious but now he wasn’t making mistakes.
Wait.. Had her brain missed something? He was offering them passage to the dens. Wow. That made Shoe feel nervous. It was flattering considering she’d not been accepted yet, plus she’d outspoken to him, and got away with it even. She was also worried at how the fae’s would take to her, her label hardly something to draw a friendship from any of them if they had mates... Then his words were that of her own name. She looked up at him and blinked her lashes, she kept blinking, her eyes were darting, not quite meeting his gaze as she tried to figure out what to do. It was time to finally chose and she did. She signed and stared at the pleasantly damp earth as her shoulders slumped. After what seemed like forever she nodded to herself before raising her maw to his.
“Very well. I’ll see someone to help me.”
The fae moved closer to the Alpha then, she would wait for the others to pass or at least make sure they didn’t hear. Or see. She rose her jaws to reach as close to his ear as possible having also moved her body around so that only he could see and so he also blocked the others from seeing this. She let her tail fall then, only when she was perfectly secure with her position. The word was there, torn into her flesh looking raw and bloody and at risk of infection. It was too late to save it from scarring but maybe she could keep it from going septic and causing so much pain. She bowed her head once more in a desperate attempt to make him keep her secret and understand her terror and respect..
“Snippet. Okay. Just… please don’t judge me for this. I.. I’m not sure of how everything happened that lead up to this but I’m almost sure of my innocence. I.. I only want your most trusted healer to see… please.”
{00c - Is it okay for me to put some of the pups of the pack as characters she sees on her way to the healer in the dens? They don‘t have to join but I want her to discover her maternal nature ^^}

Dmae
An cursed wolf in a loving pack, With alpha, trusting and honest. Her mind dashes with hesitation, In fear that blood will mix with water. Her body was shuddering slightly, unnoticable, mostly from her scare, and the possibility of an early death. The alpha, Zephyr, seemed more than kind, but she knew that he was taking caution. It was understandable, of course, because words were usually manipulated in ways that made things unreadable. Zephyr's tension pulsed with hatred, but toward whom? Was it toward herself, the one accused of the murder of pups? Or was it toward ones-self, toward injustice? She had no clue what was going on through the minds of the wolves surrounding, but she did know that they were on the watch, except for Shoe. The kind fae was one that she wanted to befriend as soon as she possibly could, and they would both be staying together for quite some time.
Yes, she was lucky to still be alive here, her mishappen fur twisting in fine strands around her chest. The glint of her claw is caught by the sunlight and it sparks quickly, then fades to the icy cold black that it had been only a moment before. She watches as Zephyr's expression becomes blank, she knew that he was thinking. Was it about the trust that he could not extend to her? She understood as clearly as she could that he would be protected. The pups were somewhere out of sight, and where was the alphess? Usually alphas guard the pack together, so where is the alphess? Protecting the pups? Or is her absense because of urgency? A wound possibly? Oh god, I hope she is fine, enough to protect those innocent pups from me. Her breath quickens, then dies away quickly as a wing comes toward her muzzle, and softly brushes under her chin.
She holds back a sigh, she was under his spell and felt completely at ease. Was he trusting her now? He was letting her into their dens, being able to choose one for her own? She hopes to find one as far away from the alpha's den as possible. She could be putting the pack in danger, something she undoubtedly wanted to avoid. As the feathers leave her chin, she can feel him hold back tears. She was holding back tears as well. She should have never come, and if she killed this alpha's pups... she would never forgive herself."Zephyr..." She says as her voice trails, wondering what to say next, fumbling words. "Thank you for trusting me, especially." She says, hinting his thoughts of the accusations as correct, but it was subtle, and he wouldn't have known what she meant directly. She felt touched to be trusted, and she wouldn't lay a claw on his pups, or his family. In a hushed whisper, she talks to herself, making an oath to her new alpha, and her new pack. "And I promise not to kill a living soul in this territory unless with meaning." She quickly nods to Zephyr, then waits for him to lead the way toward their sleeping quarters. She still couldn't shake the feeling that blood would be shed here, under her claw. ~Word Count: 606 ~Mood: Worried ~Ooc: I hope that looks good to yall!

~ Z . E . P . H . Y . R ~ He watched as Dmae's shuddering lessened a little. Feeling redeemed as she thanked him for his kindness, he sighed with relief, glad that he had not damaged a new relationship too quickly. There was hope for him after all.
“I'm glad to hear it. But you don't need to make such promises here. We'll take you as you are” He wanted to make sure both of them felt comfortable and after the slight episode that Keith – ah Keith – had managed to stir up, he was more conscious of this than ever.
Shoe seemed to have relaxed too, though she still curled inwards like a pent up spring. As she neared him, her eyes suggested that he look in total confidence. Nodding slowly, with a wiseness that was not normally of his nature, he watched her.
She uncurled herself, showing to him and only to him the word etched cruelly upon her skin. The flesh around it was red and raw, the fur mottled with dried blood. He hissed through clenched teeth at the idea of what kind of monster that would do that to any fae. The word, he did not think twice of. She had already proved herself not to be that sort of fae. If anything, she was the opposite. Calm, collected. No this scarring was certainly the act of a cruel brute. One that had no place upon his lands. All she had to do was name him and he would be cursed the moment he tried set foot upon his lands.
He nodded again to her, smiling, hoping that it inspired confidence and relief in the fae. “Don't worry. I have no right to judge you. I highly doubt Snip even knows the meaning of tha- your scar. She is extremely trustworthy, and besides..” He gave a playful smile this time, a smile to let Shoe know that she had nothing to worry about being judged “I think you'll like Snippet. She has that....air about her”
He stepped past Keith and Haven, nodding his head as if to an imaginary tune, smiling at the pair of them and nodding to the den entrance, arching a quizzical eyebrow. A polite invitation to the dens of the pair of them, which he doubted Keith would take, but it was there anyway. Just because he knew the answer didn't mean he shouldn't ask the question.
As he walked through the spray into the entrance of the den area, the echoes upon the cave walls betrayed to him the intent of his two littlest ones. Well at least, Zan's. He could certainly hear his son's high pitched voice through the echoing walls.
"And I'll grab his ears! Like om nom nom! Yes Bhrin yes?! And you can leap on his back and he'll think we're vampires commup to suck his blood!" A small thud could be heard as Zan no doubt tripped over his large paws in his excitement. Zephyr chuckled lightly, pausing to crouch down, his rump in the air, his front paws splayed in front of him.
With a fakey roar and a swishing of his tail, Zephyr leapt around the corner, rolling into his pups, startling both out of their skin. They gasped and then fell into fits of giggles, knocked over by their father's playful antics. The three ended up in a pile on the floor of the den, feathers woofting up by their tussle and floating around them.
He laughed heartily, then remembered his new guests and coughed, embarrassed, before clearing his throat and getting to his feet. Zan leapt up, bounding over to the Alpha's den to hide under the feathers there.
"Sorry about that. I get a little...carried away. Anyway. Welcome to the Fukai den. You are welcome to any den that is not occupied already. For...obvious reasons" He chuckled lightly at his own joke, indicating the hollowed out caves lined with feathers and leaves for sleeping in.

The Alpha was so intent on correcting himself with his words to the more skittish of the two and he glanced at Shoe letting her know that he was also still thinking of her well being. Yes she was in the presence of a good Alpha indeed.
Her breath was held in her throat and all she could feel was her heart beat, scared, the sharp pain of her wound and the slowly increasing burning sensation in her oxygen deprived lungs. His eyes stared over her but they showed no anger. No fear or distrust or protection. She had managed to convince him that she was safe to have around, that was more than she managed of herself. Shoe is and was innocent in all ways revolving around the incident but she will never fully believe it herself… He saw the word, he saw how the pain would stab just by looking at the untidy hackings at her armour and as he inhaled she saw that he was more worried than anything else. He knew what it meant and yet he didn’t care. Her body shook and she remembered to breathe and as the cool wet spray and air entered her lungs she felt so much better.
He smiled then, such a wonderful smile of kindness she’d not seen in a long time, it brought her true self flooding back with a shy smile of her own that increased in confidence. She actually beamed at him now as he spoke on to mention ‘Snip’ the pack healer? Probably. How strange that she wouldn’t know such a word. Maybe she was protected… or just young. She didn’t want to expose a young one to a word like this whether she’d know the meaning or not! Her maw parted to express this concern but all that emerged was a release of a terrified whimper.
She was shocked that she’d broken through her own defences and so came with it the feeling of a tear running down her armoured cheek. She stepped forward and without thinking, buried her face into the chest of the Alpha and stayed there in his warmth until she felt better. Well almost better. She jerked back then and back stepped now nervous, not only had she touched him, an Alpha but it was also far to close to her past. She began to blurt out apologies.
He said nothing and his mood was still very much happier and he seemed unfazed by her outburst. Was she really such a wreck that that was acceptable? Well, she wouldn’t do it again. She bowed her head graciously now and let it say her thank-you before she walked after him through the spray, her eyes now wide and looking all around her, it was like paradise!
She stopped dead then at the voices, they made her feel all funny, but she couldn’t dwell on that long as she reddened and turned her head so that her fringe covered her eyes as well as facing the other way as the Alpha bent low before her giving her one hell of a view! It was nice… Stop it Shoe! Then he attacked and his pups giggled. She loved that he would still be their father over an Alpha and at that moment she felt herself feel all hot all over her body and she wanted to play with them too! She wanted to love them and keep them safe and happy! What the feckin’ hell was happening to her today!?
She watched the feathers fly and had to blow one off her nose, it left her but her fringe lifted and just fell back in place, Shoe signed with a grin. Turning at last back to Zephyr she sniggered at his apologies and embarrassment before her ears rose n shock. He. He was giving them dens!? She’d been accepted!? Oh my god! She did a small jig before having to stop due to pain and embarrassment of her own. She also realised he’d made a joke and laughed softly at that. Her eyes finally falling on the pups she got that weird feeling and before she could stop herself she found the words just flowing from her maw.
“Oh Alpha Zephyr you Must let me look play with them sometime! They’re gorgeous! Are there any more!? …”
She then froze, her body still manic with adrenaline. Her face one of perfect and hilarious confusion.
{00c - Words 741! Muse: for Shoe, terrific!
Oh and Tio, in my other Fukai thread with Shoe, Snippet meets her outside and heals her then so I don't mind having another wolf heal Shoe or no-one just so that InRPTime: Tomorrow. She can go back down to the river side where she'll meet Snip and get healed by her then. That way it all makes sense chronologically ^^}

Dmae
An cursed wolf in a loving pack, With alpha, trusting and honest. Her mind dashes with hesitation, In fear that blood will mix with water. Her eyes fall onto his, and then dart away quickly as he watches Shoe. He was studying them then, the smell of blood soaking into her nostrils. Yes, she knew that Shoe was bleeding from a large gash in her armored flesh. An attack? This kind of wound didn't just appear on a wolf, something had to have caused it. Probably a fighting wound. I really hope she will be okay.... Shoe seemed friendly enough, and trustable. How could anyone do such a thing to this fae?
Then a name is mentioned... Snippet. The healer, she assumed. By the way that Zephyr spoke of her, she seemed friendly enough. But she was hidden from sight, possibly in a cave somewhere out of reach. The healer was important, she guessed, as they brought medicine and health to the pack. They were a nice addition to any group, just in case.
Zephyr starts walking toward a well-hidden cave entrance. The waterfall scene was breathtaking! She literally felt her breath leave her lungs, finally to be reunited with her cells as she breathes in again, feeling the moist oxygen whisp into her mouth, and into the lungs yet again. This was her home now, for the time being anyway. She would cling to it as long as her humaine being was still alive.
She follows Shoe and her alpha into the darkened cave, hearing the small voices of the pups as their vocals echo through the obsidian. Their laughter makes her smile, she forgets all about her unneeded killing. Was she cured? She didn't know, but she did know that no harm would come toward the innocent. "Zephyr, they're beautiful." She says in a hushed voice. Maybe he would begin to trust her. Maybe, just maybe she wouldn't die here.
She watches as the alpha bounds toward his offspring, tumbling and chuckling with them, a real family. She missed hers dearly, but she had to leave them. She was a grown lupine then. Her eyes, left unblinking, fill with tears. Love had never really accustomed to her before, never really taken the time to see the broken fae that she really was. She would be like that forever, forbidden from it, always mistrusted, always an outcast.
The tears fall like quiet rain, making streaks on her muzzle as they wipe the dirt away, making a small patch of mud beside her paws. She was a horrible wolf, wasn't she. Feeling the urge to kill every pup that she sees. She already was feeling the longing that the pups were causing her to feel. There was also jealousy toward Zephyr. He had a family, his OWN family, and what did she have? Nothing. Well, now she had the pack, but that was different.
She sniffles, then half-heartedly laughs at Zephyr's inside joke. After laughing, her eyes widen. I'm accepted? He trusts me enough to be let in? Her shock is expressed in her facial expressions. Pure question. She could have passed out if she really felt the urge. Yay, he trusts me! He trusts me! "Oh yeah!" Pride explodes from her maw as she yells outloud, then gives an awkward smile, embarrasment spreading, pink-cheeked. ~Word Count: 632 ~Mood: Estatic ~Ooc: Dmae is finally feelin' good!

Keith slinked along at the back of the group, she didn't even walk next to haven. Her tails occasionally twitched amusingly but besides that her whole body seemed to scream back off. It wasn't on for any reason other than worry. This would be one of her very few trips towards the pack dens and with the pups she wasn't sure she would be allowed in... by the pack... well. She was confused mainly.
As they neared the entrance the sound of tiny voices made her ears pricked and her gaze snap upward. The longer she listened the wider her smile grew and for a breif moment she giggled. The way she giggled with haven, not around other wolves. It only got worse as she watched her very own alpha succumb to their innocence. She giggled again, nay she laughed. Lifting her tails high she scuttered closer to catch a sight of the pups but the moment she did her eyes shone. Her black voids flickered a dark crimson, something that only happened with the coming of dusk.
She couldn't help it, she was a fae after all! The moment zephyr had spoken she practically bouldered past shoe and zephyr with the biggest grin a fae could have. In a second she had flopped down on her stomach beside them and was chattering away about their size, colours, wings and all the other "beautiful/handsome" things about them and continued to completely oblivious to anyone else around her.

~ Z . E . P . H . Y . R & Z . A . N . Z . I . B . A . R ~ It was strange what happened to different personalities when faced against a common enemy. The funny thing was, thought Zephyr with a small chuckle, that common enemy was the act of resisting his pups. He already knew who was on the losing side, as all of the faes within his current party had just melted in front of the little ones. These little balls of fluff had three seemingly hardened wolves cooing and giggling at the sheer sight of them. He had to put it down to maternal instinct.
“Thank you” He managed to mumble, embarrassed at the mutual good feelings emanating from the group due to his children, and boy wasn't he just the proudest puff pastry at the party*. “They're quite the handful to keep entertained, but they're my pride and joy. Well...our pride and joy” He corrected himself almost immediately afterwards, casting a glance back to the den that he and Cinder inhabited. He could barely see the form of Zan hiding under the feathers there, but he was really looking for his mate. Perhaps she was deeper in the caves? Perhaps visiting their other son...a pang of mourning hitting his gut. Should he tell the new members about Youni? His little stillborn, buried within these very caves. No...this was a happy time now. Plus, they didn't need to know.
He lay down beside Bhrin, smirking at Keith's expression, flicking his tail about. His left forepaw swept across the cave, indicating a few spare nests, lined with feathers and leaves in preparation of new members. At this point Dmae yelled out loud, making him jump, his wings twitching outwards slightly in surprise. His eyes widened, a puzzled look crossing his face as he looked at Dmae, before smiling and shaking his head. He could never even try to start to comprehend faes.
“Ah.well...” What was he about to say? Oh yes “You are welcome to choose any uninhabited bed, from any of the caves, as near or far from the others as you wish. We respect privacy here” He smiled warmly at them, indicating that they were free to wander around the den and pick a nest if they so chose to. Or just perhaps stay and play with the pups for a while; it was about time they got a bit of contact with other wolves.
~
The bundle of fur and feathers that was Zan breathed heavily with excitement and nervousness. His tail flicked of its own accord, a few feathers stuck to the end of his tail; Zephyr's feathers. The gold tinge glinted off the sunlight that cascaded through the many holes situated in the roof of the cave. Lifting his tanned muzzle upwards, he wondered why even though the roof of his home was filled with holes, that it never rained. At that very moment, a droplet of moisture fell from the roof, splashing the youngling upon his sensitive little nose. Oh, the irony!
But there were more important matters to attend to now. Daddy had come in with new recruits, and they wanted to see him and Bhrin! This certainly was exciting. But he had gotten nervous and was afraid that they would laugh at him because of his squeaky voice – hence his greeting with the feathery bed that occupied most of his days. Leaning curiously forwards, he wondered if they would notice anything if he didn't speak. But then how could he be a gentleman and introduce himself, or his sister? Maybe Daddy could tell them his name...
He jumped up and flopped clumsily over to the group, his ears pricking up curiously. His discoloured eyes gazed up at the group, widening over the variety of colours and appearances he took in. So this was what other wolves looked like. And another wolf without wings! But she did smell a little odd, he noted, with a hesitant sniff. Rolling over onto his back, he winked at the faes, closing the honey coloured eye and leaving the violet one open to study the newcomers intently.
~
Zephyr smiled as his son bumbled over to greet the new members of the pack. After overcoming his initial shyness, Zan was being oddly quiet, gazing up at the others with an avid curiousity.
"Ah, this is Zanzibar, my youngest. Eh son, say hello to the new members? You can play with them now Shoe if you like. Zan certainly seems curious" He chuckled softly to himself.
((* Yes I did just make that phrase up xD))

"I will not become my father" Haven
toko - subordinate – water&telekinesis - mated ”So I stumble Around” ”Till I stumble Fall down” xxxxx Haven's state was not right. His mind was beginning to hum unpleasantly with everything. Other wolves around and their minds buzzing with thoughts- some that he knew weren't meant for him to hear. And yet he did anyways. His mind couldn't keep everything out and he didn't want to pry. He especially didn't want to pry into Keith's mind. He tried so hard to keep out of her head and give her the privacy she so rightly deserved. But it was hard when the feelers of his mind stretched out and flailed wildly for anything to grasp on to.
But others' thoughts were not the only things running across his mind. His father. His mother. His brother. His sister. His previous home. And the incoming destruction from events past. His father had been creeping in slowly without even being near. Constantly, Haven found himself doing things and thinking "father would be proud". He found himself doing things his father would do, like sitting around and watching the wolves of the camp with ferocious, accusing eyes. He could pinpoint the weak and despised those who had the potential to be strong than him and Haven was terrified. His mother had been quietly soothing his mind, the memories of him as a pup, nestled against her harsh and loving side. Often, he remembered when he was pup, right against her, he would stay awake till the early morning light, trying to get his breath even with hers. Trying to be just as powerful as his mom, and yet trying to apease her for her love. And his brother and his sister, their taunts entering his mind with such ease. Their voices still lingered in the back of his mind and filled him with dread.
He didn't want anyone to see him like this. Didn't want anyone to know that he was beginning to doubt his nature yet again. Brushing up against Keith, he nuzzled quickly behind her ear, giving a whisper, "I need to go, leelan, I'll meet up with you later." And giving and swift, small lick on her cheek, he bounded off. He didn't want to be stuck with all these wolves any longer, lest he do something he didn't want to.

Dmae An cursed wolf in a loving pack, With alpha, trusting and honest. Her mind dashes with hesitation, In fear that blood will mix with water. Contemplating the area, she watches the wolves around her with shifting eyes, silently pondering these past events. Why would she need to worry now, that she was safe from the harms of the vast wilderness, or was it because of the vunerable pups that taunted her with their antics?
Maybe it was from the fear of being crushed under her packmates' claw and teeth, dying and suffering on such a beautiful landscape? Avoiding the fact was too hard for her to come by, and thinking about it made bile slink up her throat, burning the tissues that covered. Her thoughts dashed and cringed in the images of death, trying to get away from the more-or-less obvious.
The only way to sieze that she was away from hazard was to bite her tongue. It created a much lighter pain, but took her mind from everything else that she tended to be focused on, although Zanzabar was a distraction, moving and flitting from one place to another. A soothing feeling sinks into her mood, but that just wouldn't help. Maybe this pup was safe for now.
As she tried to contain herself, Zephyr went and talked, and she droned out the whole thing. It wasn't obvious that she wasn't listening, since her eyes were plastered onto his moving lips, but they must have appeared distant. The wolf Haven leaves, unsuprisingly, since it was starting to become tenser in the vast cave, with faes "Awwing" and focused on the pup before them. Maybe it was them, or just her, but something about this youngun' must have made her revolt. She takes a few steps back.
"Thank you for the offering of sanctuary." She peers around once more, watching as light pours into the holes in the cave ceiling, dust slowling sinking to the ground below. Wrens chirp loudly as they swoop past the waterfall, heading North, free to do as they wished. She could fly with them, but it wouldn't be worth her breath. She had worked to get into this pack, and now she was, happy and content, for the moment, until she lost herself.
The light sendiment fills her nostrils, and she sneezes quietly, still looking around with cautious eyes. It was just the way she was, always watching her back. Laying her life in someone else's paw wasn't her first choice, and Keith was someone to watch. The hostility was gone, since she was mezmerized on the pups, but Dmae couldn't tell for sure. Maybe it was just the maternal insticts that saved her skin, for now.
The walls were lined with passageways, to the dens, she persumed. There was one the farthest away from the group, at least a safe distance away, where she could hide from the suffering. Paws as heavy as lead pad toward the obsidian hole, her head down, almost like she was depressed. In truth, she was in a way, because she had no hope in herself. The musky smell of wolf lingers in the dried grass that covered the little den's floor. It was large enough for her, anyway, so she accepted it, almost like her new sanctuary. Yes, it was hers now. "Perfect." She says in a quiet voice, blinking quickly, wishing that it wasn't a dream. She could wake up any moment in some desolate place, being eaten alive by hungry vultures. Maybe that would have been best. --------------------------------------------------------- Word count: 610 Mood: Depressed Ooc: Sorry it took me so long to reply.

All around the armoured woman, wolves were talking. They were doing things and for some reason though her eyes had seen it all, her ears heard it all, her tongue and her nose tasting their breath as they spoke and her pads feeling the vibrations on the cool little cliff face by the gushing falls as each moved around. Yet, it was as though nothing had sunk in. Dmae had walked with her, at least she thought she had, there was the murmur of her speech in the back of the fae’s mind but she could not truly focus on the words. Keith was on the floor grinning like a lunatic obsessive mother doting over her precious children in a way that Shoe herself was only, not doing due to the sheer confusion of this notion and its joy that had so utterly overwhelmed her. Then her Alpha himself was replying. The words were grand and seemed to create small cracks in the bubble of stopped time and near silence that surrounded the fae as the confusion would soon be a thing of the past.
He was slightly embarrassed but also very proud and this put her characteristic grin back on the armoured fae’s lips. She watched as the slow motion began to speed up again though still into fully reaching its former tempo. He lay on his handsome stomach beside is pup and Shoe felt herself go all bubbly inside. --Damn pack making me act all weird-- But she didn’t mind and just chuckled at the thought. Her ears heard something about choosing dens and suddenly she remembered how tired she was and had to stick out a stray paw to stop herself from falling over. She grumbled but kept her knowledge of the more colourful language to herself. She was till smiling though except the idea of being away from the pups worried her. She wanted to be with them and keep them safe, she also wanted to kick herself ‘cause she wasn’t responding how she knew herself to. Then again, pups was a new variable to her personality… she was material wasn’t she.. Good grief.
Dame fortune was probably laughing at Shoe ‘cause as soon as she found her ground another adorable little whelp trotted out before her with a tilted head and a curious expression on his face.
“Awwwwww!!!!”
She stared. She’d just gone all mushy over the little bugger and that was just weird. She shook her head but smiled adoringly down at him and then across to the other ands still couldn’t contain herself. Then her Alpha did the dumbest darn thing. She let her play. It was like taking the leash of a mutt who’s just seen the BBQ and she was staring down at the pup her tail wagging insanely and still glued to the spot. She was terrified, she didn’t know what to do. AND! She couldn’t let him see her mark!
While she stood, tail end now slightly raised above her head and tail wagging, Haven spoke something to his Keith before walking off. Shoe stood momentarily confused again, had she missed something here? Was she really that scatty just moments ago and missed something so vital. But he’d already gone in his big strides and she wasn’t gonna be rude and interfere. While Dmae muttered a few words even then Shoe was unfocused and the fae seemed distant. This was a weird group indeed but she loved them all already.
At last her attention was back and staring at the pup before her snout and once more she was rigid with the lack of knowing what to do with someone’s little bundle of fur and teeth and cute.

Seeing these faes who – on their own – were so independent and cautious and wary, melt into butter at the sight of his son and daughter was pure magic. He sat with content, his tail flicking about in an S shape as his pack members decided what to do amongst themselves. He was glad that most of the awkward tension created from meeting so many newcomers had been mostly broken by the appearance of his pups, so he sat back and watched for the moment, letting events play out as they would.
He subtly watched Dmae and Shoe, making sure they didn't feel pressurized into anything, but when Dmae went out to choose a den for herself, he couldn't help but smile. He hadn't seen where she had chosen her den, but he knew from his vantage point that she had not simply turned tail and fled back out of the den, so he assumed she was content with her choice. Shoe on the other hand, seemed in no hurry to be leaving the group.
He laughed softly at her joyous expression when Zan plonked himself onto the ground, looking up at them. It was strange that he didn't even have to say a word, and her attention was fixed on him. A concerned look passed across his features as he watched Haven leave, worried for the moment for the large brute's feelings. It must have been hard for he, a telepath, with so many wolves in close vicinity to him. He couldn't begin to think of what Haven had to block from day to day. He only hoped that the brute would not remain melancholy for long. He was an asset to the pack, and Zeph hated seeing anyone in a negative state, especially his pack members.
~
His ears were cocked cutely, watching the older wolves all around him with an avid curiosity. His tail flicked about, distracting the young pup from his staring for the moment so that he turned and snapped at it as if to keep it in line. Then came Shoe's exclamation. At the sound of the shrill voice, Zan's sensitive ears slammed back against his skull and he blinked away black dots that affected his vision for a few moments.
Flopping onto his side in surprise, he shook his head, clearing his thoughts; what on earth was that noise? He half expected to be smothered, but nothing happened. This was good, he was thinking clearly. He leant on one paw, looking up at the fae who had created the noise, furrowed his brow and finally spoke in his too high voice that always embarrassed him.
“Wow.” He couldn't think of much else to say, but then he spotted her armoured plates and his expression split into that of a wide smile. “Wow!” He said again, with more vigour than the first time, standing up and approaching her so that he could get a better look of her armour.
“You look like a shiny surface! Like water! Is that your real fur? Does it hurt? Does it protect you from the rain? Can you run fast in it? If I headbutted it would it hurt?” The floodgates had been opened. After that initial drawback, Zanzibar was on the questions with full force, his curiosity overcoming his shameful voice and now he spewed everything that came into his head. What were the chances that one of the first wolves he would meet would be so different in appearance? It was exciting to say the least.

The green fae’s own ears shrunk back with the pups as she suddenly panicked. They rose again slowly, timidly as the pup blinked and then all was well and Shoe was grinning once more as the little thing was again moving all over. First to the side, then leaning on a paw. This tiny thing was so inquisitive she began to melt again. All warm inside. Damn kids!!
Her ears twitched as he ‘wow’ ed at her. Then again as he did it a second time. She couldn’t remember ever being ‘wow’ ed before. She found herself go a little red under her plates and was again thankful for them. It was a massive grin on her lips as the wean was smiling probably as much as she as he trotted over to her. She lowered herself onto her belly and bowed her head. Her nose touched the ground and her eyes closed before opening, cross eyed, to gaze down her snout at the son of her Alpha. Her tail wagged. She would’ve been embarrassed if the Alpha was watching but her mind was elsewhere and she just wanted to love him more and more.
These eyes and smile widened alike as the pup began to speak. Her memory was starting to feel challenged as she tried to think up the answers to this stream, no river of questions and as they spewed out she tried to give her answers just as quick.
“Hehe, shiny? Yeah I guess so. Nah it ain’t. I got fur but it’s a short layer compared to yours or your papa’s. It’s under these plates, they protect me see so I don’t get hurt too easy. It doesn’t let me run any faster but it Does let me swim quicker. I get wet on the outside but my fur stays dry and if you head butted me? It’d probably hurt you more and I would feel a little nudge hehe, so don’t go tryin’ I don’t want your papa getting mad at me for giving his dear son a headache.”
She was probably as bad by now, she wanted to love the kids of this pack and keep the little whelps safe! And she would!!! She stayed low but her head looked up briefly to her Alpha as she realised her purpose, what she was here to do. Her eyes were hopeful and her body tense with the wait. She could feel herself so desperate to care for them all. She’d even want a den right by them all.
“Alpha. Would you please consider letting me be your official pack pup sitter?”
She would protect them with her life.
{00c - if someone else wanted to post here I can re-post this again after! ^^}

Dmae An cursed wolf in a loving pack, With alpha, trusting and honest. Her mind dashes with hesitation, In fear that blood will mix with water. I could feel my breath becoming more subtle and relaxed. I chuckle as I hear the pup spit questions from his mouth, only to be received by Shoe, and returned back for his little perked ears to decipher. My muscles loosened, as did my back and shoulders. I return back to Zephyr and his son, Zanzibar, who was attentively watching the fae as she explained her fur and stature. I sat, my head slightly tilted as my blue eyes focused on a splash of light on the cave-floor. It was shimmering with the reflections from the vegitation above, like little dances of gold and silver. The slight layer of sand illuminated at various times and sequences, a repeating cycle of shadow and then light.
My eyes become unfocused, a blue sea raging within. They shifted, flickering with thought. Still, the alpha female was scarce, and I couldn't help myself. I guess my curiousity got the best of me.
"Where is your beloved?"
The words bled onto my tongue with such intensity, I almost fell back. The syllables charred my mouth, making my head throb. How could I be so inconsiderate to ask such a question as that, because the situation could be delicate. There was no explaination. All I could do was sit there, my eyes focused on nothing-in-particular until I heard the words that would satisfy the longing for information. I may have appeared stunned, but what did it matter?
