The lands grew quiet, as if a change was happening. It was almost as if the lands were expecting something to happen... no birds sang, no creatures moved... the lands quieted themselves in anticipation for what could only be described as the unthinkable.
The silence, just when one might get used to it, was suddenly shattered by a loud, booming howl. "These lands, the Kumori Plains, are now joined with the Misuteriasu Mountain Packlands. Loners now traverse across lands that are claimed and must report to Lucid before doing anything more. Any challengers, please feel free to lead yourselves to your deaths. Any who wish to join the most powerful pack or join the leagues of the strong, speak with Lucid or Mira. These lands are now claimed for the Mountains and any challengers will be duly killed on the spot." It ended abruptly, but the effects of it still lingered.
The lands remained silent for only a few moments, before a burst of life erupted it from it, taking in and discussing what this all meant. ((Short post, but go ahead and react as your wolves would react to such a thing!))

Cindershock, Alphess of the Fukai Waterfall Pack of Aelyn, stalked through her territory. She and her mate Zephyr ruled here, this was their lands. She loved the beauty of it, the flowers, the waters, the falls, the little forest full of animals and trees. Everything about it drew in wolves from all around, everyone wanted to be apart of it. This, in her opinion was the place to be, and apparently the wolves of Aelyn agreed with her. The pack was thriving, wolves were falling in love and bringing the thoughts of puppies. Her and Zephyr were going to have them soon, she was already pregnant with his darling pups.
But still there was an ominous threat of something, something looming in the near future, she had been having dreams, very frightening dreams, that did not help her with her quest for knowledge at all. The consisted of 3 wolves she had never seen, she had never met them, though she didn't know if anyone in the pack would know them, she was new to Aelyn after all, and she had never seen any of the other packs members. The wolves were dangerous, she could tell that much, she saw them talking, she saw their colors, with the odd red stones that held some type of significance, she saw the other wolf, a crippled one who talked in third person, who they seemed to not care about, who they looked like to have brought along to beat up. She saw it all from a birds eye view, and she didn't know why she was having these dreams, where they something that was happening, something that was going to happen, or something that did happen? Was it a new power?
The notions scared her and she had told no one.
One red paw in front of the other, she patrolled the borders of her lands diligently, these dreams made her on edge, cautious. She would not lose her home to theses unknown wolves. As she neared the edge of Fukai's lands she heard a howl, and a speech to go with it. This voice sounded so familiar, so familiar it was scary. It was the voice that had been haunting her dreams, or at least one of them, the other was female, and she now knew who they were. The alphas of the Misuteriasu Mountains Pack. The pack up the falls and to the left of her own. The couple was so close, and now, now they had the Kumari Plains, a place were loners could be, so they could live in peace without having to be in a pack.
So this is who she has been dreaming of? This is what they have been planning? What were they going to do next, she still had the feeling as if something more was going to happen. Were they going to try to take over all of Aelyn? Were they that greedy? Her dream questions now answered, but so many more now taking their place.
They took over the free wolves, free will, and it was wrong, they couldn't do this. No. It was wrong, they couldn't Aelyn was to be shared equally, it is what the Gods wanted, she had been told, about old alphen meetings. The Gods separated the lands for the alphas to share. This is how it should be. Not with one pack trying to take over the whole lands!
Cinder was appalled, it was wrong, and she let out a musical howl in return. "No," it said, "You cannot do this, I will not stop you now, maybe not even later, but you will be stopped, eventually you will die, and you will not rule all this land, it is not yours to take, it is not ours to give, this land is for everyone. Not one wolf. It is a gift from the Gods above us, and you cannot take it away. You do not have that power. You cannot take this land for your own. You must stop, before it is too late." The song ended in a trailing note, sending the sound back to this brute who thought he knew so much, who thought he was so special, that he was so powerful. And all the other wolves who were listening, weather they heard it or not, she knew deep inside her that this alpha did, and all her pack, which made it worth while for her.
Muse: Suddenly revived GO SWAY Word Count: 743 OOC: OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG HOLY POO. Thats all I have to say about THAT.

Patrolling, as she usually did. It gave her time to think... to think about Baztek, the pack... where things were, or weren't... going. She could think about her feelings, and try to avoid her past. As long as she could keep her mind thinking, she could always forget about her past. If she could avoid it forever, she would... but deep inside, she knew she would have to face it someday... she just didn't know that that day was today. Most of the pack had no idea of her past... what she went through and the trauma that it caused her. She hid it well, keeping composure and putting out her facade... but today, she would find out.. everything would come to surface.
She slowed her pace, her heart racing at the fact that birds had stopped chirping and the lands around her grew still. She smiled and raised her head, looking around expectantly for the one wolf that held her heart and soul... but found he was nowhere to be found. Baztek held that special place in her heart that she could never fill up with anyone else, or so she would assume. Whenever he was around, though she hardly noticed it unless he was coming near, the birds never sang, but that didn't bother her. The only reason she noticed that when he was around at all was because he brought it up himself. Her eyes sparked slightly in hope of seeing him, but her heart quickly sank when an all too familiar howl reached her ears.
Her pupils grew large and her heart raced faster than it had in quite some time. Her muscles grew weak and she collapsed on the spot. Her eyes closed and she began to whimper quite audibly. She whimpered at the first sound of his howl and continued whimpering, whispering to herself and mumbling inaudibly at most points as her past latched onto her with full force.
"Not again.. please... no... not again... run... run... why are you doing this... no! Mother! Father! Not again... no, no, no.. not again..." [/b] Past and present merged as her mumblings grew louder and fainter, her whimpering grew more pup-like and her heart and mind fell completely into the darkness that threatened on a daily basis to consume her. Her body convulsed as tears streamed down her face and maw. Her breath came in short gasps as she shook her head back and forth and remained in a fetal-like position, her paws, wings and tail held close to her body. She seemed more like a puppy than a grown wolf at this point as her memories from her past consumed her present.[/blockquote]

Once again evil reared its head just as it had in many of Celestia's past lives. No matter what took place or what variables were involved darkness always managed to even itself with the light. For sometime now Celestia could sense this upsurge but now it had finally made its move. The usual and impending snide mind of Lucidity was brewing something far more dark and worse. The angelic wolf could not remember a time when Lucid had actually conquered a significant amount of Aelyn---he was always stopped before such a thing happened. Something had to be done quickly before the situation spiraled even farther out of control.
Without any hesitation Celestia pranced across the forest landscape until she felt her wings carry her into the sweet scented wind for the first time in her current life. A blood inspired by protection and nurturing ran through her veins as she watched the forest growing smaller beneath her. Through the sky she flew as a beacon of hope for the pack lands, while she knew that she did not have the answers to the predicament she placed her confidence in the combined efforts of both herself and her age old sister in purity.
Angel...I'm sure you have sensed what has taken place...please meet me at the Sacred Circle...[/i] Celestia's telepathic voice echoed throughout the pack lands.

OOC- Memory, how do you know that the pack has assembled, or that there are wolves flying around frantically, or that there is even a crowd? Everyone who has posted so far has been on there own, wait until others post that their wolves are flying or gathering before you post it, it's a little bit of god-moding.
Also...You and Tide aren't mates yet...

Oh how the months had passed since she had called Fukli Waterfall her home. She felt she had been here since she was born. Still working out the paths and where the best pickings were, but she didnt want it any other way. She had a friend who she wished was more, but she didnt want to push him. A even specialar friend Snip who healed her and found out that she had wings. She will have to thank her somehow.
Ayame padded around her new home, she wished that Cinder would accept her into the pack because at the moment she was a loner just living in the border of the pack, but Tide still let her sleep in his cave. The rushing of the waterfall was behind her, and the fresh smell of fresh waters wofted around the pack's area. But all of a sudden a sound that rocked the world disturbed the birds, because there was no sound, no creatures skurried across the floor anymore. " Hmm i wonder what has happened to all the animals?" She wondered if she should go and see Tide to see if he knew what was happening. But she just stood at the border and waited. The sound was terrifing, but she didnt want to get involved.

CIRYON Ciryon walked calmly through the beautiful conifer forest that surrounded the Fukai Lake. His big size not hindering him at all as he moved in a quiet and almost graceful way amongst the trees that surrounded him. Though it was true that his days as a loner had finally come to an end since he had now settled in the Fukai Waterfall pack, he still enjoyed long strolls through their territory. It probably was because he had become so used to be constantly moving that now it was only natural for him to keep doing so. Fortunately the territory of his pack was big enough for him to walk during a very long time and still not seeing the end of it, so there was no way he could get bored of his periodical strolls. Plus he could use them as a way to help the higher ups patrolling. Of course he could always fly, but in his opinion doing so would take away the fun of wondering around, there was something adventurous about it and he couldn’t help but enjoying it.
Even though he had just joined the pack recently he had come to be very acquainted with their territory, for there was no day in which Ciryon wouldn’t take a moment to explore it during his strolls as long as he was able to do so. He still had a portion of the territory to see, but he was definitively loving what he had seen so far. The lake, the waterfalls, the forest, everything seemed to merge with such harmony; he was definitively happy to be able to call these lands his home now. Another reason why he loved to take periodical strolls was because he normally got so entranced with the beauty of the lands during those that all the old and unpleasant memories that he mentioned to no one were just forgotten for a moment; and those were some of the strange moments were he felt totally at peace.
As he walked, Ciryon made sure to memorize every little detail of his surroundings; the fresh scent of pines so characteristic of the forest, the cool breeze that flowed from the general direction of the lake and the distant mountains, the soothing sound of the water flowing through the many little creeks and rivers that adorned the land. Everything, he wanted to remember every detail of the lands that he had come to love. He sighed deeply in contentment; he certainly was having a good day, and the spot where he was standing was perfect to lie down for a moment and just listen to the birds chirp around and the sounds of the forest.
But there was a something that totally ruined his plan: there were no birds to listen to. The forest was silent, strangely silent ... Too silent. He wondered why he hadn’t noticed before. It seemed as if even the water flowing through the creeks and rivers had quieted down a bit, and it kind of creeped him out. But at the same time he couldn't help but have a nagging feeling at the back of his mind that send shivers though his body. He couldn’t quite place what it was but there was something he could tell for sure: something was wrong.
It was at that precise moment that he heard it: a deep and low howl that echoed through the lands, it carried a message with it, and he didn’t miss a bit of it. Ears perked up and head raised to get the message clearly, he just listened attentively. When it ended an involuntary shiver cursed through his body. He wasn’t afraid; no, of course he wasn’t, he wasn’t one to be intimidated by such a thing. But the feeling he had ... It was worry, and now he understood perfectly why it was there. Anyone that had been a loner long enough and that had wondered near the mountains had heard rumors about the pack that inhabited there, but mostly, rumors about their Alpha, Lucid, and that happened to be Ciryon's case, seeing as he had joined this pack just recently. Those rumors had particularly started to stir up again not too long ago: something was definitively happening in the mountains, and it wasn’t good. This, the message that had just been delivered by Lucid to the whole land of Aelyn, just confirmed it.
He frowned: what was that brute thinking? What were his intentions? Was he now to be considered a direct threat to their pack? So many questions and doubts started to run through his head, and what frustrated him was the fact that he couldn’t find an answer to any of those. His large wings twitched, he was sure that both Cinder and Zephyr must have heard the message as well, and he felt the sudden urge to go to them and consult what should be done next. But something diverted his attention from the task at hand. In the distance he managed to hear a low whimper, then another, and another. Whimpering was never good, and he rushed in the direction of the sound; maybe a pack-mate was in need of help.
He sprinted quickly though the forest as he had decided against flying for there wasn’t enough room between the trees of the forest to do so, and it could be dangerous if he tried. The whimpering he heard moments before grew louder as he advanced and he knew his target was near. What he found when he finally reached it wasn’t something he had been expecting though. There, just a few feet away from him, was Masina, the Betess from his pack. He didn’t really know her all that well, in fact he had only met her a couple of times, but at this point it was easy to tell that something was wrong. She was laying on the ground, curling up in a fetal-like position, and she was whimpering as tears ran down her face. His eyes widened at the scene; what was happening? Was she ok? Maybe she was injured? ‘No time for questions’, he told himself. She apparently needed help, and she needed it now. He moved to her side with such speed that one could have though that he teleported there. He didn’t know if she was hurt or not so he approached her rather cautiously as to not cause her any more pain. When he was close enough he lowered his head and nuzzled her in a comforting way as he called her name softly. “Masina ... Masina, are you ok? What’s wrong? Are you injured? ... Talk to me Masina”, he said softly, trying to calm her down as he spoke. He tried to sound as calm as possible himself, but his worry was still clear in his voice. OOC - Yay, my muse is finally back! x3 All credits for that goes to the epic cinematographic music I've been listening all day, for some reason it always brings my muse back to life e.e lol Btw, I felt it would be nice for Ciryon to run into Masina right now, but if you don't want it that way please feel free to just ignore the part of my post where this happens o.o

Cooling himself off by the waterfalls, Zephyr felt at peace with the world and the creatures around him. Bird chirruped happily in their nests, feeding and teaching their young how to begin flying. He smiled at the thought that he too, would soon be teaching his young to fly. Happiness welled up in his chest at the idea of him being a father.
He hoped that he would make a good father, and be a wise and respectable role model for his children. The pack was thriving with all the new members recently, and pups within the pack would only help relations in the pack. Still, he also couldn't help worrying for Cinder's health.
Though she had not told him what was wrong, he could sense that she was worried about something. A part of him told him that she too was worried about being a good parent and was worrying whether or not they would be good teachers to their little bundles of joy. However there seemed to be something else that worried her, and he had not pressed her because he did not want to make her worry more. Still, it tugged upon his heartstrings to see her so anxious.
Rolling over and letting his wings hit the spray of cold, fresh water, he raised his head so that the falls drummed down against his skull. If he stayed that way for too long, he would probably get a headache or a brain freeze, but for now it was giving the top of his head a good massage. The water dripped down his muzzle as he opened it, lapping up the water hungrily. He was glad for his bounteous land in which his pups would grow up well and strong.
Listening to the lonely roar of the falls made him stop and prick an ear up in confusion. Only a few moment ago the air had been alive with creatures; birds chirping and bees humming along to the flowers. Now there was only silence against the beating of his heart and the constant, unbroken roar of the falls. His brow furrowed, and he exited the waterfalls, not caring to even shake off his pelt for his confusion.
Then the foreboding came. Something was wrong. Never had the surrounding areas and copses of trees been so deadly silent. It was as if every creature in all of Aelyn were holding its breath, waiting for something. He shivered, suddenly cold as he was soaked through, but he also shivered from something more. A low wind echoed across his lands, bringing with him the scent of fear from far away. Somewhere something was going terribly wrong.
Then he heard it, the bone chilling howl that struck him at its very core. His ears flattened, and he bared his teeth in a savage, animalistic growl as he heard Lucidity's message. His tail lashed out angrily as he lost all senses of himself, his very being relinquishing to the angry song of Lucid's howl, and Zephyr's reaction to it.
So he had claimed the Kumori Plains for himself. This was the change. The change Cinder had been dreading. It had finally happened. His heart sunk for the countless loners taking refuge in those lands, lands that were never meant to be claimed. Now they would be exhiled from their own homes, or forced to join the ranks of Lucid. He growled in disgust, his muscles moving of their own accord as he leapt suddenly, legs pumping at a gallop.
His legs propelled him, leaping up above their den, onto the rocks of the waterfalls, where he had a better view. His savage eyes did not see much as he climbed, reaching the highest point of the rockface from which the waterfalls erupted, to the point where the waterfalls were mere cracks in the rocks. He turned to face his lands, his pack, his eyes searching in the distance for that imaginary black cloud hovering over the plains.
Though the plains were sparse of most, they still held comfort for the loners that no Alpha would ever claim them. Now, in the distance, seeing the vast plains stretched out, far from his own lands, Zephyr felt the pain of every loner within them. Some would run, fleeing to other packs where they would begrudgingly join, but never be a part of. Others, more power hungry wolves, would join lucid in their quest to see blood spilt. Those left? Would they flee? Would they hide? Would they fight? Zephyr could only see blood spilt upon that land that was once a haven for all.
Looking back down to his own lands, his muzzle dripping with saliva from his blunt anger, he raised his muzzle to the sky, calling for his packmembers.
"COME ALL OF ZEPHYR AND CINDERSHOCK! TO THE SOURCE OF THE WATERFALLS! CARRY THOSE WHO CANNOT COME SWIFTLY, RUN, FLY, SWIM, ALL TO THE WATERFALLS!" His howl was dire, the urgency in it so clear and evident that all who heard it within his lands should come without fail.
His mask faltered and finally fell, the craziness of pure wolf that was there no longer, and Zephyr took one last look at the Kumori Plains, before sitting down heavily, his head hung low. This was a dire situation indeed.
Words: 890 OOC: Ooh this is exciting =D Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice and lightning, lest these titans wreak destruction through the world in which they clash...Sorry I couldn't resist xD. AND OMG Cinder has a Holy poo! *worships*

Masina whimpered and cried, her body convulsing with every sob. Her muttering and mumbling continued, even as the howl ended and the sounds returned to the lands of Aelyn... Masina just couldn't pull out of it...
She heard the distant call of Zephyr, but it didn't pull her from the nightmares that had begun to take hold of her once more. She was too far gone, too far lost in the distant memories of a puphood that was stolen from her in her prime. She hardly heard the words that came from the wolf that had approached her, his scent was familiar, but nothing registered.. the words faded in and out of her mind as she faded in and out of the real world and the world that was taking hold of her.
"No, please don't... why... Lucid, stop!" [/b] She whimpered and let loose a high pitched, bone-chilling howl of despair and agony, of lost hope and life... as her parents death replayed against her mind over and over again as if it were a never-ending movie. She whimpered and cried, her voice beginning to grow hoarse from the events as she remembered her history all too well. If it weren't for Lucid.. and his howl, she wouldn't be in this state, she wouldn't have to relive the past that he had burned into her memory... she wouldn't be in this position, completely vulnerable and helpless... she could keep her usual composed and calm demeanor, the mask that she often wore as a facade to hide her inner thoughts and emotions... she would have the happy wolf-grin on her face, the kindness in her eyes, the hope that shined so brightly from her inner soul, hoping to inspire others to move forward and allow them to feel the hope that she clung to so deeply with very few things, spreading the feeling so others may have the opportunity to hope for their own wishes and dreams to come true. Instead, she was curled up on the ground, her white fur getting dirty as her body convulsed with constant sobs and cries of seemingly nonsense. "Lucid... No... no... no... please stop... Leave them alone... think... think... think... why?"[/b] The last word came out as a desperate plea as she continued to cry silent tears, her mind anywhere but in the present.[/blockquote]

CIRYON This wasn’t good. Not only because Lucid had just thrown the land of Aelyn out of balance with his recent claim of the Kumori Plains, but also because here he was, standing next to his Betess as she sobbed and whimpered uncontrollably and he couldn’t make her calm down no matter what he did. He had already examined her thoroughly in search of an injury or something that could be causing her physical pain, but there was nothing of that sort. So not only did he have to help her calm down but first he had to figure out what was bothering her so intensely for her to be in her current state.
The fact that the howl of their own Alpha had just echoed through the lands calling for the whole pack to gather at the waterfall didn’t help either. It was obvious that Masina couldn’t travel as she was right now, so he would have to carry her. That didn’t bother him at all, the problem was that she was moving too much, and she seemed to be so far gone that she probably wouldn’t even be able to get a hold of him as he carried her, which was necessary in order to assure she wouldn’t fall.
He sighed as he considered his options: he could either try to gently calm her down and comfort her until she felt better, or he could pull a not-so-delicate strategy and force her to snap out of whatever was consuming her. Either way, he had already decided that he would carry her to the waterfall, after seeing her like that there was no way he would let her walk, or fly, or way there. Unfortunately he seemed to have already used his first option, as he had been talking to her in soft and comforting tones for the last couple of minutes but she didn’t seem to listen to him at all. So, to his dismay, he was only left with the second option.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard her voice though, desperate and broken. And then came a howl, a high-pitched and heart-shattering howl, a howl full of despair and agony. Ciryon flattened his ears to his skull at this and he looked at her with sad eyes as he settled on the ground next to her. So much suffering … what had happened to her? He felt the desperate need to help her, but how? But then something clicked in his mind: had she just said Lucid? Did she know him? If so, was he the source of her suffering? He had founf her like this after his howl was heard over the lands after all … What had he done to her? So many questions started run through his head, and he didn’t have an answer to any of them. It was if all these questions were just regrouping an igniting a flame inside of him though, a flame that was reflected in the glint that had now appeared in his eyes as he frowned. Was this irritation? Anger maybe? But why was he angry? Did the though of Lucid hurting his Betess bother him so much? Well, apparently it did.
He turned to look at her as she continued to mumble between sobs, and the sight broke his heart. She looked so miserable: broken and sobbing on the ground. He could almost feel her pain by only looking at her, by listening to her whimpering like a frightened pup and to her voice full of despair. That was it, he wouldn’t allow this suffering to keep consuming her, he would pull her out of the void that had her trapped and away from reality. He suddenly stood up, determination written all over his face. He looked at her and lowered his head to her level as he spoke. “Masina … Masina! Snap out of it! Masina!”. His voice came out bit harder than what he would have wanted. He would have preferred if he didn’t have to treat so her in such a rough manner since she looked so frail and broken at the moment, but for now that didn’t really matter, all he cared about was to bring her back from wherever she was lost in her mind. “Masina! Can you hear me? Stand up!”. His voice was hard and commanding, yet it still held some softness to it. He decided that if she wouldn’t stand up on her own then he would force her to do so, just as he would force her to come back from that void that seemed to be consuming her. He put his muzzle against the side of her shoulder and then he pushed her, using is whole head as lever. The sudden movement came out rather roughly, and he hoped she wouldn’t just fall on the other side of her body once he managed to get her up. OOC - Aw, I'm loving Ciryon more and more each time I post with him xD -Cough- Yay for the lots of muse I have atm e.e lol

Masina whimpered and sob, her voice growing more and more hoarse by the second. Visions of her past swam through her mind, making her relive the moment over and over again.. the moment where Lucid killed her parents, killed off most of the pack, just to claim the pack for his own.. how he had turned on Masina and thought her weak, ready to kill her off too, but how she had so narrowly escaped. How she had ran and ran from her home, putting it behind her the best she could. How Lucid's haunting howl seemed to follow her, no matter how far she ran.
She couldn't stand it, it was too much. Another painful howl escaped her lips, before the wolf next to her, whom she didn't recognize in her current state, barked at her to snap out of it... and this single thing, a small comfort of familiarity, she inwardly began to pull forward, to escape the nightmare that dwelled within her mind. She slowly made her way back to consciousness of the real world, though it took the second commanding order and the nudge to pull her out completely.
She sat for a moment, her sobs ceasing and her convulsing halted. Her vision was blurry, her head swam, and her legs and muscles were weak. She blinked her eyes a few times, trying to regain her grasp on reality, before realizing the wolf that was standing next to her. It wasn't Baztek as she originally thought... not this time. It was Baztek who pulled her out of this state last time, but this time, it was Ciryon, one of her pack mates. She shook her head, attempting to clear it, before turning her ice blue gaze to his. "Th-ank you, Ciryon." [/b] She cleared her throat, trying to rid herself of some of the hoarseness that had taken hold. She slowly attempted to stand, her muscles shaking under her. Her legs almost gave out on her once, but she managed to catch herself. Shaking the dirt and debris from her fur, she stretched her limbs, from her paws to her wings. She shook her fur, readjusting herself before turning a smiling face at Ciryon. It was weird how quickly she could regain her composure... perhaps because of the constant facade that she put out? Allowing her to hide her true inner self and to show to others what they wanted to see? It wasn't that she was trying to be deceitful, it was more of a self-preservation technique, considering her past was one that she would rather keep to herself. At this thought, her heart dropped. No longer would she be able to keep her past to herself. With Lucid's take-over, she would have to fill the pack in on what he was capable of... and that they were related. No members or other wolves knew of this, aside from Baztek and Haven... both of whom have served under Lucid at one point... or at least, had some form of face to face contact. She shuddered at the thought of facing her past, but knew it must be done. "We should get to Zephyr... As I'm sure you've realized... I know a little more about Lucid than I let on..."[/b] She held a guilty look on her face as she said this, regretting she was related to him, but still determined to find that one bit of good in him that she knew existed in everyone, no matter how evil they seemed to be. She sighed and attempted a step forward, faltering slightly, but able to catch herself. She realized she wouldn't be herself for a little while, and that she would be slightly weaker-limbed than she would like for at least the next few hours.[/blockquote]

CIRYON He almost flinched as he heard her howl again but he contained himself since he didn’t want to let her fall now that he was finally holding her slightly up. It wasn’t the howl per se that made him react like that. No, it was the feeling that it carried; all that pain and suffering that pierced into his soul. His heart ached for her, for he knew that something terrible must have happened to her to be causing this much pain.
After having roughly called her, he noticed that she started to react, slowly drifting back to reality. He didn’t withdraw the leverage he was offering her with his head though; he knew she probably would need it to get up. He noticed how her sobs were slowly diminishing, and suddenly he felt her weight lessen on him; not that she weighted a lot anyway, she was actually very light, and being strong as he was he hadn’t had much trouble pushing her up. He raised his head again once he noticed she could manage on her own, his deep gaze following her every move as she sat up.
He remained by her side in case she needed any more help, and he just waited patiently for her catch on what was happening and were she was. She looked so weary and spent though, it seemed that the state she was previously in had really taken its toll on her. When she looked at him he couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief wash through his body: she was back. She thanked him softly; her voice hoarse from her previous crying and howling. He smiled slightly, he was really glad to see her better now. “You don't need to thank me, Masina”, he replied kindly.
He then watched as she attempted to stand up, and he almost rushed to catch her when it seemed she would fall back to the ground, her legs being too weakened to keep her up. Fortunately she was able to catch herself before something happened. He kept watching her intently as she tidied herself up, shaking the dirt off of her fur and stretching her every limb. Then, out of nowhere, she smiled at him. But he didn’t return her smile. In fact he frowned a bit. He knew that that smile was a fake one; he knew that she was just trying to put on her happy and composed façade again, for it was not possible for someone who had been in a state even remotely similar to the one she had been on a mere minutes ago to recover so fast. It probably worked as a defensive barrier for her; a barrier that no one could pierce. But he could see through it, he had been able to do so since the first moment he saw her, when he met her along with the Alphen pair.
It took her some more time to ready herself before he heard her speak again. She mentioned Zephyr … Oh damn, he was so centered in helping her out that he had totally forgotten about the howling call of the Alpha just a moment ago. He hoped his face didn’t show anything of what was going through his mind though, because he was currently cursing himself for being so absent-minded. Masina also mentioned how she knew more about Lucid than what she normally let on, but that was obvious for him at this point after the little episode from before. He decided not to mention it though since he didn’t want to cause her any more pain, seeing as she was still recovering. He just calmly nodded to her, “Yes, we should go now, if you're feeling better that is … But I have something to say before”.
He then looked at her sternly, his deep green orbs making contact with her icy blue ones. He definitively wanted to make his point clear here. “Masina … You don’t need to pretend when you’re around me …”, his face wore a serious expression, but his voice was gentle. He didn’t want her to get the wrong idea, it wasn’t that he didn’t want her to smile, but he didn’t want her to force herself. After all a smile was always better when it was an authentic one. “You may be used to wear that façade of yours in front of others, but you shouldn’t force yourself … Especially not around me for I can see through it”. He made a short pause here. He didn’t exactly know why, but it seemed that he had this ability to see “underneath the underneath” of things. He was not omnipotent though, and very often he couldn’t help but be puzzled by other’s actions. This wasn’t the case though, and so he continued where he had stopped. “And even though I may not know what is it that you’re hiding, I do know that it can be mentally exhausting to wear a mask permanently”. He wasn’t asking for her to trust him out of nowhere since she barely knew him, but he was rather offering her the opportunity to relax a bit and drop her mask. He guessed that it could only do her good, especially after seeing the state she was in a moment ago.
He then realized that what he said could have sounded a bit offending to her, so he quickly apologized. “I’m sorry … I didn’t mean to offend you if I did. And I know it’s not my place to tell you this, but I just felt it had to be said”. Ciryon was aware that by now he probably looked like a cold and hearthless wolf, or at least he thought so, since other wolves tended to think that of him. In fact, he was just concerned about her, and he was showing it in his own way.
But at that moment he was suddenly reminded that they had yet to respond to Zephyr’s call and go to the waterfall. They were quite far from there though and he had seen Masina stumble as her legs faltered when she stood up. She was obviously weakened after what had happened, and so there was just no way he would let her go to the meeting point on her own like that. He calmly moved in front of the femme, making sure to block her way with his massive body. He then laid down, his stomach flat against the ground, putting himself in a sphinx-like position. “Get on”. It was more of a command than anything else, though the two words came out with such gentleness that even he was surprised by it. Of course he was aware that she held a higher rank than him and that he probably shouldn’t be ordering her around, but right know it wasn’t the rank that mattered to him; she could barely walk and she wouldn’t get anywhere like that. “You’re in no condition to get to the waterfall on your own, I shall carry you there if you'd let me”, he turned his head and looked at his back as if to make his point. “And if you’re worried about the others seeing you like this I could just let you down when we’re close enough so you don’t strain yourself”, he offered. He just hoped that her pride as the Betess she was wouldn’t get in the way, because he wasn’t going to take a “no” for an answer either. And so he waited for her answer, laying on the ground as he was, his powerful wings folded to the sides of his body. OOC - Oh my, crazy lenght post again o.O lol Geez, I've writen too many long posts in a row during the last few days, now I'm exhausted D: So I'm sorry if my post suddenly doesn't make sense anymore, I shall correct it when I've recovered xD

Masina gave a kind smile to Ciryon and nodded. She knew he was only trying to be sincere and help her, and that he was showing compassion for him, even if it might come out sort of harsh. She also knew that some saw him as heartless and unemotional, but Masina saw past that... call it intuition or what have you, but she knew there was more to this wolf than originally was let on.
"Thank you. I will try to remember that, but as I am sure you know, it isn't exactly easy to let down a wall that you've placed up and held for years. I will try, however, to let the walls down a little around you. I know it would be helpful to me, and I'm sure that if needed, you can keep any secrets or insecurities I have about myself to yourself... I know we haven't known each other long, but I put faith and trust into others until they give me reason to not trust them. I trust you, just as I trust any one of the other pack members. The fact that you are here to help me out and to aid me in a rather embarrassing and vulnerable position shows a lot of character, and I truly do appreciate it." [/b] She smiled at him again, glad that he was there, for some reason or another. "Are you sure you want me to ride on your back? I don't want to be more hassle than I may have already been."[/b] She gave a guilty smile, before nodding to him. She slowly and carefully made her way over to him and climbed onto his back. "That will work. When we get near, just let me down so I can at least attempt to keep some of my dignity... the last thing we need in a time like this is any sort of weakness, especially in leadership."[/b] She sighed and suppressed a shudder that caused her body to tense slightly. "Ready whenever you are."[/b] She relaxed herself and attempted to relieve any dead-weight she might have upon him, causing herself to be as light as possible. As an afterthought to Zephyr, she raised her maw to the air, signaling that Masina and Ciryon were on their way and would be within range shortly. Her howl rang out, very unlike her previous two howls, this one sang out like a chorus, rising and falling in a melodic fashion and ending with a slight echoey note. She smiled to herself and gave a small nudge to Ciryon, telling him she was ready to head toward the camp.[/blockquote]

CIRYON As he watched the way she reacted to what he said, Ciryon couldn’t help but think that it was kind of weird. Why weird? Well, because they barely knew each other, and despite that, there already seemed to be some kind of understanding between them. She didn't seem to be offended by his words, in fact, she aparently got exactly what he was trying to say to gus surprise. By now he had noticed that she seemed to be able to look past his occasional harshness and cold outward appearance, unlike the majority of other wolves he had met, just as he could see past her façade. It was an interesting detail in his opinion, and he couldn’t help but wonder how much more they could learn about each other given some time.
He listened silently to what she had to say, nodding slightly in agreement at her first words. He knew exactly what she meant; old habits were sometimes difficult to drop, especially when they gave you the sense of security you needed. Then he was rather surprised to learn that she actually trusted him; he was practically a stranger to her, and yet she trusted him. That certainly touched him, and it actually was reflected in his face as his gaze softened. After all even the mere concept of “trust” had been out of his life for some years now, ever since he started to wander around on his own. So the sole fact of knowing the she trusted him meant a lot to him, and so he would always make sure that she never felt that that trust had been misplaced.
He decided make what was going through his mind as she finished. “Yes, I know what you mean. But it is always good to try since keeping things bottled up inside of you can’t cause you nothing but pain”. He though it was ironic for him to be telling her this since he didn’t apply it for himself, but of course she didn’t have to know that. “And also I … thank you for trusting me”. And there it went; a short statement, but the first crack on his pride, or so he though. Was he going soft already? “It is only natural for me to come to your aid, after all we’re pack-mates … But even if we weren’t, you did seem like you could use some help back there, I couldn’t just ignore that”. She then smiled at him, and for once it looked like a real smile to him, and he smiled back, even if it was barely noticeable.
He had become a bit lost in his thoughts when she approached him in order to climb on his back as he had requested. It was just hard to think that now, out of nowhere, he was slowly regaining things that he had thought he would never have again when he left his homelands: a place to call home, a pack, trust. Everything seemed to be slowly coming back, and he was glad. The question now was if he really deserved it. He snapped out of his reverie when she spoke again though, this time asking him if it really was ok for her to ride on his back. “Don’t worry Masina, it’s ok, I wouldn’t be offering it if it wasn’t after all”, he said with a ‘barely-there’ smile. “And I don’t remember you being a hassle at any point, so don’t worry about it”, he continued gently. She seriously needed to stop thinking of herself as a burden, for she was nothing of the like in his opinion. “Very well, we’ll do it that way then. But I’ll be close by in case you happened to need some support when we get there”.
He waited for her to settle on his back in a way that was comfortable enough for her, and when she made him know that she was ready to go he slowly got up on his paws in order not to cause any sudden movement that could knock her out of balance. It amazed him how light she was to him, not that he didn’t know that after pushing her up a while ago anyway. He was about to get on his way to the camp when he suddenly heard her howl at his back, and fortunatelly it was nothing like the previous howls he had heard her utter. 'Of course ...' how hadn’t it occurred to him that it would be a good idea to let Zephyr know that they were and their way? Well, now she had apparently done it for him, so he didn’t need to worry about it anymore.
Something else stopped him though. He turned his head in order to look sideways at the femme laying on his back as he addressed her. “By the way, Masina, you shouldn’t be embarrassed of your weaknesses, after all everyone has them. And it is only by accepting and overcoming them than you can become stronger. But there's nothing to be ashamed of for having moments of weakness, everyone has them, for every live being has at least a weakness to him; it’s only natural”. He had just remembered what she had said before climbing on his back, that’s why he felt the need to clarify that, since apparently she felt now guilty for succumbing to her own weakness a while before. And in his opinion she was just being too hard on herself.
Having said that, he decided it was time for them to get on their way to the waterfall, so he started to advance through the forest with a slight trot. He shifted his folded wings a bit then, so the long feathers of their tips were now around her as if to keep her steady and secure on his back while he moved. “Now you should try to get some rest while we get to the camp, you'll probably need it. Just leave the traveling to me", he said softly as he picked up his pace. "And Masina … You don’t need to worry, if it came down to it I would hold him back, away from you”. It came out almost as a whisper, just before he sped up a bit, but hopefully she had heard it. And of course he was talking about Lucid. He had no idea what was the relationship between said brute and Masina, if there was any that is. But he seemed to be what she feared the most, and also the cause of her pain; and that was reason enough for Ciryon to want to keep him away from her. OOC - What can I say ... Yay for sudden midnight rush of muse! xD Seriously, I wasn't expecting to be able to write a post atm, but oh surprise, here it is! lol

Masina was intrigued slightly by this brute, only because he seemed to think that trust was something he didn't deserve. The reason she thought this? Because he had thanked her for trusting him. Now normally, a thank you like that would show that it was just appreciation, but something told Masina there was more to it than that, which made her thoughts wander. A bond was forming... a bond of trust. They could talk to each other and one wouldn't judge the other. It was a nice thought and Masina smiled slightly to herself at the thought of it.
"I wouldn't expect any different. Again, I really do appreciate all the help." [/b] She said softly in response to his words about standing close when they got near. She was already fully relaxed by now, so his words to tell her to get some rest were slowly already taking their effect. She closed her eyes, a small smile gracing her features. She felt him change his pace and raise his wings as if to safeguard her and give her a little more balance on top of him. Then he softly said something else... something that made her open her eyes slightly and smile down at him. "Thank you, Ciryon."[/b] And with this, a small tear escaped down the side of her face. She should have known that not only would her pack protect her, but she definitely had Ciryon on her side... She hadn't had much chance to get to know the pack members one on one, not like she used to before Cindershock and Zephyr came to the lands, not that she regrets them coming. She is honored to be sharing a pack with them. It was nice to get to know a fellow pack member a little more. Ciryon was nicer than he generally let on... or at least, that his outer shell seemed to let through. Masina wasn't sure why he had a shell, much like she did, but she figured he would tell her on his own time. Trust went both ways, and Masina had shown that she would be willing to trust Ciryon with almost anything. She closed her eyes and allowed Ciryon to take them back to camp, where they would hopefully find Zephyr and the rest of the pack, and where Masina could hopefully tell them more of Lucid without falling into the darkness that still lingered in the back of her mind.[/blockquote]

Riptide was lapping cool water from a pool not far from the waterfall. The water was refreshing and clear. He blinked then looked up and at the cascading falls. They were simply amazing. The water was like millions of crystals falling off the edge of the world. Today was a good day, so far. His step daughter, Snippit, seemed to be doing better around crowds, and the wolf that he loved, Ayame, seemed to be getting over her sickness. Tide smiled at these thoughts.
Riptide bent his head down to take onther sip from the pool. Now this is where Tide acts like a child again. Even though the water is cold the brute shoved his head down into the water and blew air out of his nose. some wolves would probably think that this action was involintary, but most of the pack members were used to Tide's random actions. 'Watch Ayame sneak up behind me and push me in.' He smiled and laughed quietly to himself.
He picked his head out of the wtaer, took another breath, then stuck his head under the clear water once more. "dnmdfdiofjdsd;jsdafierfjfjkgfgdfqwieummmzoido..." Riptide picked his head up out of the water. He had to wait until the little bit of water drained out of his ears before he could hear anything. "and must report to Lucid before doing anything more. Any challengers, please feel free to lead yourselves to your deaths. Any who wish to join the most powerful pack or join the leagues of the strong, speak with Lucid or Mira. These lands are now claimed for the Mountains and any challengers will be duly killed on the spot."
Because Tide's head was underwater during the first part of the howl, he missed some. So, he had to try to put the puzzle together in his head. 'HOLY CRAP!!!' Tide's thoughts exploded in his head. 'Lucid just claimed the Kumori Plains! Oh mah gawd. I hope the alphas have heard...that sure was a loud howl.'
Riptide was a little confused about what to do first. Luckly, before Tide made his first movement, he heard his alpha, Zephyr, call out to the pack wolves. The brute turned and darted towards the cascading waterfalls. Once there he crained his head up to look at the Alpha, then he looked at the falls. 'Where's Ayame?' He questioned himself, franctically. He glanced around, not many wolves were gathered. 'Where's the rest of the pack, we have atleast twenty wolves.' Then his heart pounded. 'Where's Snippit?! She must be scared, or lost, or..or...' Once again Riptide's fatherly skills kicked in. 'Calm your self, Tide, she's ok. Snip is perfecly fine. She heard the alpha, hopefully, she's probably in the nest behind the waterfall. She'll come around eventually, I don't need to call for her.'
"Snippit!! Ayame!! Where are you?!" Riptide called out around the lands, hoping they would hear, hoping they would respond.

C I R Y O N Ciryon darted through the woods, his attention fixed on the path ahead of him for he didn’t want to run into some unwanted obstacle. Yes, he was moving at a fast pace, but he was trying to do it as smoothly as possible since he didn’t want to bother Masina, who was currently resting on his back. He had decided he wouldn’t use his wings to reach the camp faster for three simple reasons: first one was the fact that it would have been quite difficult to take off to the sky in the thickness of this particular portion of the forest. Second one was that it would have been way easier for him to accidentally drop Masina while flying, and he didn’t want that to happen. The third reason was the fact that his wings proved to be really useful as they currently were, folded and sheltering the fae on his back, so he decided to keep things that way.
His thoughts drifted to the previous events as he sprinted through the forest. If Lucid had now claimed the Kumori Plains did that mean that he would keep trying to claim even more lands for himself? The problem with that idea was that now that the plains were claimed there were no other available lands other than the lands of the different pack that inhabited Aelyn. If that were to happen that way then they probably would have to defend their pack lands sooner or later from Lucid and his pack. Of course he had heard many things about Lucid when he was a loner, and most of them weren’t good. So his impression of Lucid had never been a good one either, even if he had never met said brute personally. He then frowned at the memory of Masina’s outburst just a moment ago. If he put everything together it was pretty obvious that she knew something about the Alpha of the mountains since she had been mumbling his name the whole time. But it was also obvious that whatever she knew about the brute it was nothing good, not good at all, she seemed to fear him in an almost unnatural way after all.
As he thought of all of this an involuntary growl left his throat as he frowned: for some reason even the mere thought of Lucid irritated him, and he definitively would do everything in his power to ensure that the brute wouldn’t get away with whatever he was planning.
Ciryon was so deep in thought that he hadn’t even noticed the roar of the waterfalls in the distance, and how it seemed to become louder as he advanced through the forest. Soon enough he snapped back to his senses though, and he realized that the camp was just ahead. He stopped then and he lowered his head, his muzzle close to the ground as he tried to catch any scent that could indicate other wolve’s activity nearby, since he wasn’t really sure if any other pack member had arrived to the waterfalls already. His ears perked up as he felt the scent of another brute. He could tell it wasn’t Zephyr, so that meant that someone else had already reached the camp. He lifted his head then, his muzzle held high as sniffed softly, trying to catch any other scent that may have been brought by the wind.
When he had examined the area thoroughly he decided to move again. He wasn’t getting closer to the camp this time though, but rather to the side of it, just around the same distance of it as he was now. He made sure not to be too close to the waterfalls as if to avoid being noticed by anyone who could have already been there, but he wasn’t far either, so there wasn’t much to walk before reaching the camp. It was only then, after checking there was no one hiding nearby, that he crouched to the ground, his stomach flat against the ground. He then turned his head, fixing the white femme on his back. “Masina? We’re here already”. He spoke softly, as if he was regretting bothering her. She had been through a lot after all, and he just wanted her to rest as much as she needed. But unfortunately this had to be done, they had to meet their Alpha and deal with the increasing threat that was spreading through the land.

Ayame was still padding along her home and she felt alone, because she hadnt met all the wolves in the pack she called family, but alas they didnt know who she was either until Tide had brought her to the pack and to Snip who healed her. She felt so giddy when she met this nervous little wolf and the wolf she wanted to be mates with, but there was plenty of time for that. The thoughts had whirled in her head since she met him and the pack's alphrass Cinder. She seemed really nice but sturn at the same time, but she looked after her pack till the death.
Oh how the thoughts of her and Tide running around the falls and playing in the rock pools blowing bubbles. She hadnt realised she had walked straight in a pool herself. " Ah crap!" She looked around to see if anyone was there who might of seen her, " Thank god no one was around to see me being clumsy" She gigglered it off and watched the fish dance around the pool. She laughed out loud and stuck her head in with them. They zipped around her muzzle tickleing her as they swam away because of a predator about. She lifted her head out and sneezed.
Ayame thought it was time to get out of the pool to see if Tide had come back from whatever he was doing. She got out and shook her pelt until little silver droplets fell from her and scurried back to the river and into the ocean. Ayame listened in the air. No sound of birds or even little creatures ran in her path. But she did hear a howl though, was it a threat? A challange? But it did send horrors down her spine. These lands, the Kumori Plains, are now joined with the Misuteriasu Mountain Packlands. Loners now traverse across lands that are claimed and must report to Lucid before doing anything more. Any challengers, please feel free to lead yourselves to your deaths. Any who wish to join the most powerful pack or join the leagues of the strong, speak with Lucid or Mira. These lands are now claimed for the Mountains and any challengers will be duly killed on the spot.
But straight after that call, there was another howl. She didnt recgonize was a male's voice. " Maybe thats the alpha's howl. She thought to herself. "COME ALL OF ZEPHYR AND CINDERSHOCK! TO THE SOURCE OF THE WATERFALLS! CARRY THOSE WHO CANNOT COME SWIFTLY, RUN, FLY, SWIM, ALL TO THE WATERFALLS!"
" Oh noes! Sounds really bad. I better go and find Tide and Snip!" But a shout she'd recognize took the words right of her mouth. Tide was looking for her too! She nearly did a back leap and ran towards the sound of his voice calling back. " Tide! Im here, im coming. Keep talking so i can find you!" She carried on running until her and Tide would finally find each other and go to whatever is happening to make the ground shake with anxiety.

Masina rested, her breathing and heartbeat steady and regular after a short amount of time. Something about the brute, perhaps the fact that he and her had an understanding between them, allowed her to calm down and drift into a quiet and light sleep, though she still vaguely remained aware of her surroundings. The steady rhythm of his trot was almost like a lullaby as she rested peacefully.
The sound of the falls began to catch her ears, and she slowly awoke from her peaceful nap. She raised her head ever so slightly to find Ciryon taking care to keep out of sight of the other wolves, which she was very grateful for. She smiled as he lowered himself to the ground. Carefully, she made her way off of his back and tested the strength in her legs. She was still a little weak, but the nap and rest did help her out some... enough so she could put the full facade she always carried.
She knew that Ciryon knew she had her facade, but he seemed to understand it more than others might. She thought for a moment, before turning her ice blue gaze toward the brute who had shown her kindness. "You want to know how I know about Lucid... and what he is capable of? He's my brother. He killed my family. This is take two of his plans... and I know what he has in mind... and trust me, its not pretty. Don't tell the others this, though. I'll tell them what they need to know... I just know you've seen me and what this whole thing does to me... its like having to relive my pup-hood again... my parents slaughtered at the paws of my own brother... watching most of the pack that I cared about die with them, either defending or fighting for him... and how it tore everything I knew apart... how my brother had turned on me and attempted to kill me, but how I barely escaped with my life..." [/b] She spoke to him quietly, a look of great sadness in her eyes, before it quickly disappeared as she raised her facade once more. She needed to hold a strong face, especially in this situation, for her pack and for her family. She only hoped that this reign of terror that Lucid was bringing on wouldn't bring as much bloodshed as the last. She took a deep breath, her eyes holding Ciryons, waiting for his motion for them to head toward the falls to go to the meeting that had been called. She wasn't sure how he would react to the bit of news she had just given him, but soon the pack would have to know a little more about it anyway. She just figured she could tell Ciryon a little more than she would the pack, only because of the trust formed between the two. She waited for his response and his lead. Her legs seemed to be holding up fairly well, though she was still a little tired and weak... but enough that she could manage getting to the falls and sitting. At least, she hoped she was able to.[/blockquote]

C I R Y O N Ciryon waited for Masina to get up on her own legs before getting up himself. He kept a close eye on her as she tested her strength in case she would need any help, but she seemed to be doing fairly well on her own. She still seemed to be a bit weak, but she was certainly doing better When he was convinced that she wouldn’t have much trouble he decided to take a moment to shake the dirt out of his thick fur. He then stretched his large silvery wings since they were a bit sore from being folded for such a long time.
After having readied himself he turned to look at Masina again to see how she was doing. To his dismay she had put up her façade again. But this time he didn’t say anything; he knew that she needed to keep a strong image in front of the pack, especially since she was the second in command. He just closed his eyes and shook his head slightly as he sighed in an almost amused way. When he opened his eyes again he was surprised to meet the femme’s icy blue orbs. She was looking up at him intently, her face serious. For a moment he was even worried that he had done something wrong, but then she started speaking.
His facial expression gradually changed as he listened to what she had to say. His features had hardened and as much as he would he would have liked, he couldn’t really hide the shock on his face at what she was telling him. Lucid was her brother? How could that even be possible? From what he had heard the Alpha of the mountains was big, black, cold-hearted and merciless. Some even referred to him as an evil wolf or a monster, and with each passing moment he was starting to think of him as such as well. One the other hand, Masina was the total contrary of the image he had of Lucid, how could they even be related? She was small and graceful, her fur as white as snow and she possessed the most pure and kind heart he had ever seen. She was beautiful and … ‘Wait, what? Where did that come from?’. But then something sparked inside of him as her words sunk in. He suddenly understood why she feared her sibling so much; he understood where the pain and sorrow that were carried in her previous howling came from. Lucid had stolen her pup-hood, her family, her home and her happiness … He had scarred her. And this, for some reason, stirred something deep inside of him. A few memories started to surface but he quickly discarded them for they were not pretty ones. Something surfaced beneath those memories though, something he hadn’t felt in a long time: the sudden urge to protect and comfort, to do something, anything, especially when he noticed the sad look in her eyes.
He growled inwardly: if that bastard ever came even near their territory, especially near Masina, he would personally rip him apart. After listening to what the femme had to say he was convinced that the other brute deserved no better, and he would not give him anything better. He discarded the thought for the time being though, the priority now was to comfort Masina in some way, for he couldn’t stand seeing that sad expression in her face. Ciryon approached her, his gaze soft and understanding, yet a bit saddened by what she had told him. Though he was holding back the fire that was ignited deep inside of him every time the thought of Lucid crossed his mind now. “Masina …”, he said softly, “I’m so sorry … I had no idea”. Yes, he had imagined that she had a story that involved Lucid after what he had seen, but he had never imagined it would be like that. The sadness reflected in her eyes had quickly disappeared behind her façade, but he knew it was still there, and he had to do something about it, even if it ended up being useless. He then approached her, ears flat against his skull, and he rubbed the side of his face against her softly and briefly in what would have been the wolf version of a hug. He pulled away shortly after though, surprised by his own actions. What was this? He wasn’t one to behave like this. Or was it that his old self he had long forgotten and buried deep inside of him was suddenly resurfacing out of nowhere? Whichever was the case he decided to quickly regain his composure as he stood firmly, his calm expression returning to his face, though his gaze was still soft as he looked at Masina. He cleared his throat once before speaking. “If he ever comes after you or after our lands I will definitively not let him … I will confront him if necessary, but I promise he won’t come anywhere near you as long as I can help it”. Oh, and he meant every word he said, for he was one to never break his promises. He would protect her, and if Lucid ever showed his face around here he would be sorry for doing so since he would meet a very angry Ciryon.
He wasn’t even sure why she was telling him this though. It was something so private, and she obviously had been hiding it for some time. Did she trust him at that point? It was hard t believe for him, but he couldn’t help but rejoice at the thought. He even thought of telling her a bit more about himself, but now was not the time; they had a meeting to attend to after all. Perhaps if they could find a moment to talk later he would be able to trust her with what he never told anyone. He looked down at her, and their eyes met. It was then that he was reminded that they still had to make their way to the camp. There wasn’t much to walk now, just a few meters, but he had noticed that she still looked quite weak and thus he was concerned about her. He had understood by now that she wanted him to lead the way, and he had already turned in the direction of the waterfalls and he was about to start walking, but he couldn’t help but to turn around and face Masina once again. “Are you sure you’re ok? I could carry you all the way there if you want”. Even if she refused he would go at a very slow pace for the sake of not leaving her behind, and also so he could go by her side, and so, in the event of her falling or having her legs suddenly give up he would be able to hold her up in time. OOC - Omg! -Hugs Ciryon- I soo love him! xD -cough- Anyway, yay for wolf style hugs lol. It was an innocent hug to try and comfort Masina, just so it is clear xD -> Aaand, I know I didn't really put that he started to walk right away, but I felt that he had to wait for Masina's answer. Just so we don't have to spend a whole new post for them to move you can feel free to powerplay Ciryon a bit so he starts leading the way xP Aand, just as an extra note .. I so loved writing this for some reason xD
