Crow wasn’t entirely sure what to make of Anubis, but he had to hand it to the brute- he enjoyed life. He could admire that, it seemed that that particular aspect was lacking within the Mountain pack. Confidence arose in his mind as he had contributed something to his land that needed to be there. He had been wary – insecure about upholding leadership at first. After all, he had been distanced (what felt like purposely) by his own alpha – his own father. And he would admit, he had been a tad caught off guard when he was placed in dual leadership with Tola, his disagreeable sister. But, having aided her with a newer rogue, and now granting Anubis entrance into his ever-growing family, Crow felt confident, powerful – a leader. It was a remarkable feeling, it seemed to flow through every vein within his body, to grant him confident steps – Crow relished in it.
He couldn’t help but to smirk as Anubis teased and jeered playfully as they spared. Crow had not felt so puppy-like in the longest time. And even as he reflected, he could not remember the spars between his siblings being so much…fun! He smothered a chuckle as Anubis tipped back and forth, dancing from paw-to-paw. And just as he moved to step foreward, ice was cast beneath him. Any average-sized wolf would most likely have no difficulty navigating on the slippery surface, but Crow was taller at the shoulder than even a great ice bear. His huge paws tried desperately to grip the slick surface, but it appeared as if they were trying to escape their own master. The huge wolf resorted to not moving at all – and that was a task within itself. He felt like a fool, claws skittering and gripping at the nothing there was to grip, but he could not help but to grin the entire time. After he had finally found balance and was able to stand, Crow looked up to his packmate, huge maw curved and solid blue eyes glowing with a smile. Faster than a heartbeat – he superheated his own paws, instantly melting the ice beneath them into four small puddles of steaming water. He opened his mouth, to jeer playfully back at his “opponent” – but stopped before he even uttered a sound.
His ears twitched, directed by a faint sound in the air. Crow’s puppyish demeanor was instantly lost as his instincts as a leader and protector of the pack kicked in. His posture was straight – erect and tall, signaling to Anubis that their play sparring would have to wait for another time. His glowing, blue eyes scanned the skies, and in the direction from where his ears had alerted him of the sound of wingbeats – a wolf appeared. She landed rather effortlessly upon a rock and looked down to the two. Crow’s posture softened a bit, not seeing her as any threat. She was a small female, and he rather liked her markings – they reminded him of his brother. But he was instantly offended by her tone. She was a loner, no rights to ask questions! He stopped himself from snarling out loud. Perhaps it was only her nature, but Crow would not have a second Zytka running around the pack. That female only showed respect when it was forced upon her – something that shouldn’t need be done, especially since she was a loner and had been kindly accepted into the Mountain pack where she could have been easily turned away in the cold of winter. Crow’s enormous hackles rose. As tall as he was, it was quite frightening his height when attempted to make himself bigger. The heavy feathers on his wings expanded as the thick mane of fur along his neck and chest stood on end. His face was curved in a slight scowl. He didn’t like feeling like this, he didn’t even like pressing his authority upon others. But he had learned that if newcomers do not know their place, then they must be taught it.
He took a slow, deep breath as he watched every move this female made. He was no where near the lecturing type, but Crow could feel a string of commands and words itching to fly from his black chops. And as he opened his wide maw to tell her off – -another loner appeared. He heard her coming from behind a large brush, her paws crunching on the snow of winter. Crow mentally scolded himself for not detecting her sooner. He had been so deeply involved in his pointless fun that he had grown unaware. Memories from his childhood chided him like a conscience. He had always been scolded for going off and fooling around, and never before had he encountered a situation where fun was out of place. Perhaps the scolding was put for proper reasons. His two tails lashed behind him like an angry cat as he watched her approach, half expecting another ‘Zytka’. His temper slightly cooled, however, when she spoke in a much softer voice than the other. Nerakuma- her name was. Crow watched her cautiously as the wind tousled her brown fur about.
He was alone in this situation. A single member of the Mountain pack, surrounded by three rogues. His thick whiskers twitched. Crow had grown a mild trust of Anubis, taking a minor shine to his playful banter and personality, but he still did not know the brute. And now he felt pinned to a corner when the two other loners approached him. He did not fear them, it was merely his cautious instincts doing the math – he was outnumbered. His narrow gaze shifted from stranger to stranger, slowly his confidence came back. He was more than twice the size of each of these wolves- and he mused that even if the two females stood atop one another, he’d still be taller. Besides, he held the power of the strongest pack in the entire realm at his back. It would be a grave mistake if they decided to turn against him.
He stood to his full height, his cautious fur laying down slowly from its erect position. Crow looked to each wolf with his unearthly, glowing eyes, making sure that it was clear that he was in charge. He gave Nerakuma a slight nod, acknowledging her greeting and signaling that he would come to her. The urge to leap atop a large boulder came over him, but he stayed put in his place. Even if the other female was laying atop a boulder, Crow’s massive height still allowed him to look down to her. He gave a short huff through his nostrils, making sure that they were all paying attention. Crow first glanced to Anubis. ”I am sorry, Anubis, but our fun must be cut short. I am standing-in-charge while the alpha is away, and pack duties must come first. For now, let’s call it a tie.” He gave a small grin, showing the male that he intended to eventually finish what they had started.
He gave Nerakuma another nod, slight but noticeable. Her turn would come. Crow turned to the fist female- the one who seemed the need to learn her proper place. Although Nerakuma had been polite, and he wanted to speak with her first, he felt it necessary that she was made aware of the authority that he commanded, and that he – as current leader – would not be taken lightly. He did his best to sound professional, but irritation was clear in his tone. ”Seeing that I do not know you, that makes you a loner to the Mountain Pack. If you don’t want it to stay this way, I suggest that you show respect.” He left it at that. It was entirely up to the female upon the rock whether she would remain a loner or not – for at the moment, he was in no way inclined to accept her.
Phew, caught myself up there (it was fun!) Please stick to the posting order, and if you can’t think of a post go ahead and just let us know to skip you once.

Anubis’ paw prints were silent but as Crow turned to face him he was already by the current Alphas side. The two stood there and a smile of politeness broke Anubis calmness for a mere moment as the promise to resume this sparr was made. Anubis then turned his head with a smile towards the two newcomers. The scent was female, this was true to both. The first however especially strange and an interesting one at that… not all Wolf. The voice that matched was equally intriguing. It was blunt and perhaps disrespectful although she was not putting forth any threat her manner was not entirely appropriate. This however meant little to Anubis for he was not one to judge her, that was for Crow. His smile was warm towards the duo but his body was tense that he could pounce should an attack be required of the males. Anubis had not long since joined Mitsuteriasu but his loyalties felt lifelong and life bound. He was not about to let down his family. Anubis turned briefly to Crow as he spoke before then turning his great head, his gaze halting briefly on the first femme before it continued to rest on the other. His smile was full of compassion and delight, a reversed mirror of the Alpha at his side but Anubis didn‘t let this bother him for his eyes showed where his loyalties lied and this was enough said. Anubis bowed his head and smiled.
“Good day to you both, I do sincerely hope that your journeys were not strenuous nor displeasure-able. My name is Anubis and it is a true honour to encounter your presences upon this lonely snow.”[/b]
Anubis’ great head rose, the authority of his charm and his smile matching almost to that of the present Alpha. He was so… bewitching. He took a few elegant steps forward, his hips swaying as he did so, his body movements alluring but only in his perfect etiquette to show grace and elegance. This was Crow’s first time of experiencing Anubis’ charm second paw and Anubis held his curiosity a secret as to the thoughts of this young male. He hoped at the very least that he could prove himself to be of great service. This pack was very dear to his heart.

Nothing showed in Fadeingechos eyes. “Please lighten up. I mean I am of your pack not a loner. Wait if I recall your lucid’s son right? Now please where is he I never know anything that happens here…” She stood at saying this. Looking at the other female, “Though I must say she has spunk… But I guess she is my rival now. Since you not the only one hopeing for Betess.” Turning back to crow she remembered she had never really been within his presence. “Well I must introduce myself if wish be Betess. I am Fadeingechos the immortal. I see that you realized I’m not all wolf. Yes that is true my mother was a fox. She disowned me, my father found me. HE raised me here. So yes I am of your pack I just seem…hm, naturally hidden or just out not around anywhere.” Her voice was cool calm like a recording on a phone. Never showing any emotion at all. She jumped down from the rock. Her gaze always on the female. “I am also not blind If the ever entered your head.” She added. She watched a few young spirit pups dance around crow and Anubis. A faint glimmer of amusement fell hidden in her eyes. Only to disappear moments later. She looked around trying to find the light that they would pass through to the next world. Than her gaze returned to the males. “Well you never answered me of what you were doing, but then again is was too childish for me so I guess I need not know”

Nera saw that the dance competition had taken its end, but still Crow and Anubis seemed to still have some jumpy spirits inside them. The other female, Fadeingechos, was still bound to the rock she had appeared on. She had just spoken, her words were seemed kind, well in a way that seemed kind to her. Nera respected Fadeingechos competition for betess, She knew it would be a challenge, and a challenge is what Nera was ready for. So responding to the female, Nera spoke kindly and tried to speak clearly and bravely. " It is a joy to meet you Fadeingechos, a fine day for sun bathing I do agree. And I do except you as a rival for betess, but I do hope that my voice does not betray, I do not take fighting lightly, or arguing for that matter. So if a squabble is to break out, I do hope you will know what to expect." Nera's eyes hardened, she narrowed her stare onto the female, who still sat proudly upon the large rock. " And I wish to introduce myself as well, I am Nerakuma, as I said before. I was a loner, once and alpha, but now a subordinate in your fine pack. I had pups at one time, but they were taken away in a great flood, along with my mate. I can see the future, if you are wondering what my power is, so hunting is easy, along with fighting. The only thing that clouds my visions is storms. But other wise my predictions are completely true. If you wish to know of anything else that scratches at your curiosity, then please, I am open to questions." Nera held her head proudly, she was glad of her introduction. She was sure she showed respect, possibly telling them that at one time she was alpha may not have been a great decision, but it was the truth. She glanced wonderingly at Anubis and Crow, she really hoped they had taken interest in what she had said, mainly she wanted Crow to know her respect because she wanted exception, Anubis because the respect from him would be great. She could have cared less about what the other female thought, Nera knew that her respect would be a necessity, not an essential. So Nera just simply ignored her expression. Like she had said she was proud.

Crow’s thick ears twitched with Anubis’ slick voice, but he kept his harsh gaze to the rude female. He had been insulted before, threatened even – but only by his own family. Having this stranger, this loner, insult him and chide him in such a threatening manner made Crow nearly loose it. Though he resisted, his thick chops lifted slowly, revealing enormous fangs. Never before had he felt such anger, such fury coarse through his body, his mind. Zytka had been a problem – that loner had shown no respect even when they courteously accepted her into their home – but even she had shaped up when commanded. This female…she made Crow want to tremble with rage. How someone could be so rude, so inconsiderate and blunt was beyond him. His thick hackles rose once more, making his shoulders seem to reach for the sky.
Nerukuma had spoken in reply to Anubis, but Crow paid no heed. His glaring eyes only had attention for the blue female. Crow had never punished a pack subordinate – let alone a loner to the lands – but he could feel in his muscles that he was nearly about to get his first taste of it. It felt odd, he had never before been so compelled to…he couldn’t even put words to it… It felt as if order had been lost, compromised within his pack, and he would not have it. No, he was not alpha, only put in charge during the leader’s absence. But Crow valiantly played – and looked the part. There were very few physical differences between him and his father, where Lucid was red, orange, and yellow, Crow was white, where Lucid had three tails, Crow had two, where Lucid stood higher than any other wolf, Crow was taller. But with his fur on end- maw tangled in a half-snarl, Crow was his sire’s reflection in the dark.
His voice dripped with authority – warning everyone but the female he spoke with to be silent. ”You are not part of this pack. You do not smell it, and I have never seen you here before.” A slick, menacing growl slid through his throat – his anger was finding the better of him. ”As for you being Betess, sorry, but it’s a no. You have not even asked for acceptance yet, and you have NOT shown any respect.” His tails lashed behind him, feathers upon his wings ruffling and folding with anger. And even though Anubis had captured his fancy and Nerukuma had shown her respect, Crow’s anger forced his last sentence from his mouth. ”None of you will be Beta! You have contributed nothing to the pack, and have so far – not earned our trust.” He turned to Fadeingechoes once more, glowing eyes seemed to pulse with frustration. ”And you will show respect, or be chased from these lands with your tail tucked beneath your legs.” Massive wings expanded to his sides as thick claws gripped the ground at the ready. Tola merely lingered, watching as each loner approached Crow. A sly smirk grew on her face when he sparred with the first one. It reminded her of their puphood and how she would always outsmart her brother and win the spars... though, at the thought, her mind lingered on those days. They were happier days.
She shook the thoughts from her mind as she tilted her head to the side and watched as the two brutes made a spectacle of themselves. She shook her head in disapproval at the show, feeling an Alpha to be should not act in such a manner, especially in front of one so new to the pack. She shook her head back and forth as another female approached. Tola remained silent, hidden, so none of them would know of her presence and so she could observe her brother in his attempt to show leadership. She had been relaxing a bit on the duties, now that Crow seemed to be beyond his authority issues, it gave her a chance to sit back and see what her brother was capable of. She had begun to think he was good for the position of Alpha... at least, until he made the spectacle and fool of himself in front of the lones. She sighed to herself and watched.
This new female had an air about her that reminded her greatly of Zytka... and Tola was instantly holding back a snarl. She didn't trust nor like the newly accepted female and had shown it in their first encounter. Not to mention, this female seemed to be thinking she was part of the pack. Tola scoffed at this and flicked her tail behind her, fighting the urge to jump forward and finally make her presence known. She listened, just close enough to hear the conversation, hiding downwind as to remain hidden from the wolves before her. She made a distasteful face as the female spoke to Crow with disrespect, but held her position and her tongue to see how her brother would handle it.
She was pondering, when yet another loner came into the lands. Three at once? Tola was enjoying every minute of this, waiting and watching her brother's every move, in case he made a mistake that she could bring up to him at a later point and rub it in his face. She loved showing her brother up and proving to anyone who would pay attention that she was the better candidate for the Alpha position than he was.
Tola remained silent, still... waiting for her opportune moment to jump in and make her grand entrance. She grew a smile on her face as Crow seemed to grow angry and actually show it in front of the group. In her mind, a smart comment came forward, and she couldn't help but finally make her presence known, quickly and with ease moving into the sight of the wolves, her voice ringing around them. "Wow, Crow. Nice to see you finally grow some." [/b] She smirked as she made her way, strutting, to stand next to her brother. He had given the tone and the look that none of the others should start to speak, but that didn't say anything to her speaking, since they were on even grounds and even ranks. "As for you... all of you. You're all loners until you are accepted to the pack. Now, to my knowledge, Anubis is the only one that Crow has accepted to the pack, recently... and neither myself, nor Crow have accepted either of you two to the pack... and as you two are both new to the lands, you are loners. Get it?" She shook her head and scoffed at the speech that one of the females had made. She rolled her eyes slightly at the arrogance that she seemed to have and didn't blame Crow too much for getting angry. She was very much like another Zytka, and Tola could only deal with one pain in the ass at a time. "Until you are accepted into the pack, Crow is right. None of you will even dream about getting the Beta position in these lands. None of you have shown any value or use to the pack or proven your worth within it, and none of you have even met all of the wolves. Leadership needs to know their pack members, and seeing as you three have never met me before, and I've never met you, you're taking a big step in the wrong direction for any goals you might have in mind. Now shut it and be polite, before I make you eat more than just the words you're speaking." She held her head high, her form easily larger than the other wolves present, aside from Crow. Her white fur, tinted with flamed highlights was thick with winters chill, though she seemed unaffected by it. She, much like Crow, oozed with superiority and leadership. She had been pulling the strings longer and more effectively than Crow had been for the longest time, and though she thought he was handling himself well, she felt the need to establish her authority in the pack as well. "Now, for any of you to request so early in pack-hood, though two of you are not even part of the pack, to be Beta or Betess, is arrogance on your part. I, for one, think none of you should ever be considered, especially you two loners. Rank is something earned, not assumed or necessarily fought for."[/b] She scoffed at the wolves before her. Like they would ever have the chance to be Beta in these packlands with their arrogance and personalities. "There's only room for so much ego in these lands, and you, my dear, are over the limit. Now kindly take a step back into reality, before get yourself hurt."[/b] She stood tall, confident, her size easily overpowering the three wolves. Her comments, though directed toward them all, were mostly directed toward the two lones who merely assumed they were a part of the pack. Tola knew the pack, she made sure she met every pack member, and having never met either of these three wolves, she knew very well that none of them were originally in the pack and that all of them needed to seek acceptance before they should even think about asking for an authoritative position. She stood tall and commanding next to Crow, and the two could almost make for the Alphen pair of the lands with the way they stood, though they were siblings. She held much of her father's authority, having always wanted to make him proud and show him that she was the best candidate for the alphen position. Though she didn't have her fathers looks, she certainly had his authority down pat.[/blockquote]

Anubis' eyes adjusted as he noticed the arrival of a third fae. Her whole essence was strong with the delightful aroma of power, it radiated from her glorious coat and the voice she took and as it was both she and Crow stood strong, the blood they shared boiling with power. At her comment directed towards Crow Anubis’ face remained still, though despite all his social discipline he could not prevent his eyes from glistening as he highly appreciated the fea’s sense of humour.
Though he remained motionless in his position just off from Crow’s side his ‘ego’ took a step back, Anubis knew the authority of this fae and of course this Pack was not one to push and he respected that. He turned his great head to directly line with the fae’s however he assured their eyes did not meet. It would be of no advantage to stare as of course prolonged, unbroken eye contact was a threat and this was one thing that Anubis was not. Anubis bowed his head, eyes closing once more, he was and still is a gentleman and he would not wish for anyone to make any other assumption. Not so much for his own sake as for that of those of whom he would encounter. He slowly opened his maw showing his divine teeth and he spoke.
“Good day to you, I do sincerely apologise for any inappropriate actions or behaviour that I may have displayed. My name is Anubis, you are correct to say that I am not from these lands but the snow is something my home’s have shared, it is a great love of mine.
I would also wish to assure you that I have no interest in simply being handed the title Beta to me on a platter, I wish to earn the role, it is much more fun, and of course the only correct procedure. I wouldn’t dream of demanding nor expecting simple submission to my wishes, I only believed it best to make them known. Nothing more.”[/b]
Anubis’ smile remains as charming and bright as ever, his eyes alight with adoration as he thinks of his old home and his love of the cold. His words are honest and hide no threat nor disrespect for none is there, even his darker side’s hidden contribution has no ideas of mutiny. He finally raises his great head, his smile still warm. He stands patiently and awaits the response of the others.

“Of course ma’am. I Understand I was so fool heartedly wishing for a rank so early. Won’t you forgive me? I wish to only be a subordinate till I may prove myself worthy of becoming Betess. Please can we start over again? I am Fadeingechos I wish to join your pack.” Her voice was calm, yet asking for forgiveness. She was perfect at playing with emotions so to show one she may not truly feel wasn’t hard. She begged in her eyes. This was a different Fadeingechos you were now dealing with. Though what went on inside her was far more different. Fadeingechos sensed the tension in the air. Though she could not leave her calm ways of course her voice would never show it. “I hold you in great respect after such a Beautiful entrance.” She nodded to Tola. Crow on the other hand was much to… She had been raised here, but it was true she was not a true member she never hunted, slept, ate, talked, or anything with the pack. Her face turned towards the grey dreary sky. To think I have been raised in a pack that is not my own her thoughts wondered. Her head lowered down as so did her body. She was in a much more peaceful state her mind more shrouded. Her eyes were calmly set on Tola respect was held high in them. Respect from her was of great power. It was not to be taken lightly as some have, such as her mother. Pain stabbed through her. This world was cruel. Her Wings slipped around her, they were in a peaceful position surrounding her body in a blanket.

Nera looked at her sorroundings, everybody greated Tola kindly. Even Fadeingechos managed to pull out some complement to impress the fae. But Nera just stood, she had no interest in proving herself worthy. Honestly, Tola somewhat angered her for just butting in like that, it was not fair to just cast her brother in a shadow like that. He did have authority, and she knew, but it was almost like she purposly made him look like a fool. Not one bit of concern about if she would be excepted even crossed Nera's face. Only because, technically, Tola was still a subordinate. Nera did respect the fae, though. She was telling the truth about Nera not being in the pack yet, and Nera really didn't care. She also didn't want to have the Beta position just handed to her, she just wanted to let them know that the position was what she was working for. So when she was worthy that they would hopefully reward her with the position of Betess. Ugh! Females were so confusing! Nera wondered why she never got along with them, it was odd. "I honestly mean no harm to you or your pack, but if you wish for me to leave, then that is your request and I will folllow. But still, I only search for exceptance, not to be loved or liked for that matter. Just to know that I will have a side, to fight for, to hunt for, and care for. But apparently this fae does not wish for me to be here, so leaving would be a pleasure." Nera tried to keep calm, but she couldn't keep her maw from curling and showing her teeth at her last sentence. It was said, Nera really had no desire to be excepted. So if it was needed she would gladly leave.

Posting Order- -Crow -Tola -Anubis -Fadeingechoes -Nerukuma
Tola. Crow’s own flesh and blood, his sister, the only one he’d ever have. As pups she picked and picked at both him and Haven (their betraying brother). All Crow had ever wanted as a pup – and still now, as an adult – was approval from his very own father. His childhood was decent, a full belly and a warm home, nothing he could openly complain about, but it had always felt empty, void of something he was missing. Father was always out and about, pack duties and such. And Crow could understand, especially lately with all the flourishing activity within the pack. It was the dead of winter and yet four rogues were what he encountered at the borders, looking for a place to call home. No wonder he never saw Father as a pup, so much to do. Even now with the dual leadership between him and his sister, it seemed more than a mouthful. But even though he could understand why his Father was always aloft and distant during his childhood, it didn’t lessen the fact that he still had craved attention as a pup. There was nights where he could remember sneaking away from the den just so he could practice hunting in the dark. There were days where he isolated himself so he could teach himself to fly all on his own. And there were times where he sulked away when he had been chided or picked on by his own sister, where he felt that he had no choice but to escape her harsh words by going off alone. Crow remembered that even though he felt shunned and forgotten by his own family, those times that he had been alone – he had missed them.
Now and adult, young yes, but powerful and ready to prove his worth, Crow had grown past any childhood difficulties that he experienced. Apparently Tola had not. It seemed that she still felt the need to see how far she could push him, it seemed that she still wanted to see him sulk away on his own and alone, with nothing more than a sense of abandonment because Father or Mother would never come to his rescue. But Crow had grown, and he had faced adolescence all on his own. When Tola was warm within the den getting a good night’s sleep, Crow was braving the elements on his own, scouting the packlands and loner lands for Father. When Tola had a full belly from a pack’s kill, Crow had to run down his own game without the resident pack knowing, leaving him to eat only small animals that would not be missed. He had grown more than Tola could ever imagine in the bit of time where he wasn’t missed. Crow knew this to be true. But even though he knew this…how was it that she still managed to frustrate him? As a mean, little pup, she would make him feel alone, pathetic, and sad – to say the least. Now, as an adult, he felt no such things. He did not feel alone because he was leadership within the pack, and the largest pack around. He did not feel pathetic because it was Lucid – his own father – who had seen him worthy enough to watch his lands while he was away. And he did not feel sad because his anger easily overcame that miniscule emotion. Right now, Crow boiled with so much anger, he felt as if he could rip feathers from Tola’s wings, one mouthful at a time.
His anger didn’t come from the rejected memories of his childhood, or some repressed grudge against her. It was the very fact that they were both placed in charge, yet she choose to ignore the fact. When Lucid and Mira took to the Kumori Plains, they put their son and daughter in place of leadership within the pack. Crow saw it as both an opportunity to prove himself, as well as make any amends with his sister. But Tola gave him no edge. He even found it hard to believe that she made decisions for the good of the pack rather than making decisions just to spite him, or to rub something in his face. She was so childish, so immature about it, but with her quick tongue and air of authority, she projected it as skills of leadership, as if she was putting Crow in his place. He couldn’t stand it sometimes. They were both in charge, which called for cooperation. And Crow was more than willing, but it seemed that Tola wanted nothing more than to spit on everything he did. His passion and heart told him to fight back, to overpower her with words and even with body if need be. But his head knew better, he knew better. Leadership had to be solid. If he gave in to such a childish spat between siblings in front of loners and subordinates, then they would both seem weak and childish. Crow drew in a slow breath. He didn’t want to snap back at her, demean her the way she did him in front of others. But was he willing to allow her to ruin his own image just so the pack’s dynamics didn’t collapse on top of them? He was growing more and more unsure with every insult she threw his way.
It wasn’t just that she insulted him or the fact that she belittled him in order to appear superior to him – it was the fact that these loners believed her. He felt his trust in Anubis slip slightly as he greeted Tola so warmly. Crow knew he only felt that way because she had openly insulted him, but he could have sworn that he saw a small laugh within the male’s eyes at what she had said. And Fadeingechoes, Crow didn’t like her at all. Though she showed respect for leadership now, he couldn’t help but still keep her memory of completely ignoring him fresh in his mind. He had a mind to chase her from his lands. She didn’t know how lucky she was, really. If it were his father, Lucid, in his place and not him, she would be running away with her tail-tucked and rear end scorched. Crow hated thinking such ‘up-front’ thoughts of his own Father, but he knew them to be true. Lucid gave little, if any, tolerance to insubordination. Crow had even seen him once set fire to a fawn because it cried too loudly as he ate its mother. His large ears flicked at the distant memory as he brought himself back to the present. No, these loners had no clue how lenient and kind he had been.
Crow swallowed his anger – there was so much of it that it stretched his gullet going down. If they wanted to look up to Tola and not him, fine, so be it. Black claws dug unnecessarily deep into the ground as he walked out and stepped behind the blue Fadeingechoes, placing her between him and his sister. His massive form towered over her, and if he were to take a small step to the left, she would be cast entirely in his shadow. The thick feathers upon his black wings ruffled slightly. He would come to Nerukuma next, but for now, he wanted to focus on the fae before him. ”Well, Sis, Fadeingechoes here is asking you specifically for acceptance.” His voice was authority and matter-of-factly, but there was something in his eyes that said something else to her. ”What’ll it be?” Crow knew that Tola had been watching, and he knew that she had witnessed every indiscretion and heard every sour word that this blue female had shot towards him. And even though she showed respect to Tola now, who was to say she simply wouldn’t turn on her, and snap with an insulting quip? Who’s to say that she wouldn’t obey orders and possibly put other pack members in danger? Crow didn’t want to accept her into the pack for these reasons, but he left it up to Tola, since she was so well revered.

Tola watched each and every expression before her, drinking in her own gratification at the responses she received. She could feel the authority and commanding respect that oozed off of her, and how the other wolves seemed to quickly accept her leadership and fall into her own air of respect over Crow's. She loved the feeling of outdoing him, always had, and probably always would.
"Well well, aren't we quite the gentleman, Anubis." [/b] She gave him a smile that might have held multiple meanings, though nothing of disrespect. She had no reason, thus far, to hold any grudge against this brute, aside from the fact he made a spectacle of himself, though in his defense, he had made Crow look childish and very unlike what a leader should truly be. She made a mental note to keep this wolf in mind for future antics toward her own gain toward power and her own overshadowing of Crow. She turned her head to the first female to speak to her and tilted it to the side for a moment in thought. This female seemed to hold many sides to her, and she had asked Tola specifically for acceptance. She smirked ever so slightly, before dropping her gaze from this female to look at the other female as she spoke. She could always return to previous wolves later, as they were all in the same area and obviously all involved in a similar question and conversation... what wolves would stay and what wolves would go? She looked at the second female to speak and pondered a brief moment. Both of these females were loners in her mind, whether or not they lived on the lands all their lives or not... both of these females seemed to want acceptance, though the second seemed to show a bit more understanding to what Tola had said about the loners. She pondered ever more so, turning her gaze toward Crow as his mouth opened to speak. She turned her nose up ever so slightly to Crow at his comment and flicked her tail in a very Lucid-like fashion. She gave a wry smirk to him as she pondered the possibilities. The pack came first, always, but to humiliate Crow was just so enjoyable.. so what should she do? On the one hand, she could accept the loner into the lands, having seen her obvious ignorance toward the authority Crow had, which would obviously demean her brother more.... or she could also ponder to what her father would do, for she had watched him often and practiced his leadership and authority. What to do, she pondered further, looking from one lone female to the next. She tilted her head to the side, deciding to speak to Anubis before the two females as she weighed her decision. "You have my grant into the lands as a subordinate as well, Anubis. Welcome to the pack. Approval of two leaders in the same day, quite the impression, though don't let the ego get too high, as I said, only enough room for so much ego in these lands... and just because you've been accepted by both of us, doesn't mean you will become Beta."[/b] She flicked her tail, turning her attention to the females before her. She rested her gaze first on Fadeingechos, before quickly turning it to the other female. "Now, as for you, Nera, was it? You seem almost as if you wish to be denied entry to the lands. A pack is a family, based on trust... how can we trust you if you do not show the desire to live within the lands as a pack? Granted, you mentioned the idea that you wanted a place to call home, so to speak, but if your heart isn't in it, what makes you think it'll ever be a home? We shall come back to whether or not you get accepted momentarily."[/b] She was taking joy in making the other wolves think about things, which is the only reason she didn't accept nor reject Nera at this moment. She flicked her tail once more, before turning her glowing golden eyes toward the last loner in her lands... Fadeingechoes, the one who had asked her specifically for acceptance. She gave a smirk, her decision coming quickly to her head as she pondered what would indefinitely be best for the pack, despite her urge to humiliate and overshadow Crow. She sighed ever so slightly, as if dejected by her decision, though it was far from that case. She gave a small smirk and finally spoke to the final female. "Now, as for you, dear, your intentions seem almost to insincere to the pack... I mean, you blatantly disregard the leadership present, though his leadership is desiring in some areas, he still holds leadership, thus he commands respect, even if he is making a spectacle of himself in front of loners such as yourselves and causing a mockery to all pack leaders everywhere. Despite that fact, first impressions are everything, and while my brother here made a horrible one to you, you have made the same mistake yourself by disrespecting his grounds and ignoring him. As such, I am sorry to say, but you will not be accepted into the pack. You obviously have no regard for all leadership, though your flattery toward me was more than welcomed. It almost got you in, but the well-being of the pack comes before all.... and darling, if you had met my father instead of us, you would have been high tailing your ass out of here. Just be glad you met up with me, instead of him... While my father is a great leader and powerful wolf, he would have had you running for the hills, a feat I have yet to master like his own."[/b] She held an obviously fake dejected look on her face as she rejected the female from these lands. She was more than glad to be able to hold both goals she had intended in her statements, by demeaning Crow and rejecting a female from the lands. She was rather proud of herself and only wished her father was present to see how well she handled things. Though she loved him dearly and wanted to be just like him, she also felt she needed to establish a bit of her own ways of leadership... and she felt the one thing that would set her apart from her father was holding her temper the best she could. She couldn't get entirely angry at a wolf that had demeaned Crow, though at the same time, she was furious. Only she was allowed to do such things in her mind, and any wolf that would think they could get away with it had another thing coming. For this reason, among a few other subtle and small ones, she felt the decision to reject this female would be best. Tola wanted no one else to treat Crow as she loved to treat him, and she would be sure there were no others to hold such power and shadows over him. She turned her gaze toward Crow, curious to see what his reaction would be to her small monologue and her choice made. She almost expected shock to be present, for she was sure he would think she was going to accept this female to spite him, which she almost did. She only felt it better to surprise her brother, while demean him at the same time. Though to others, her demeaning outlook against him would seem like confidence and experience in leadership... and she was more than okay with that.[/blockquote] ((Muse for Tola is slightly off, so please forgive the post... its not entirely coherent in some areas, I know this, and she might be a bit out of character in others, but I'm trying to fall back into my muse one step at a time, and so I thought I would try her out. If it doesn't make sense, please let me know and I will be more than willing to edit.))

A smile crossed Anubis’ pleasant maw as Tola commented on his manner. He was pleased by the fact that this was something that had been appreciated. He was all to aware of the knowledge that such an old fashioned way of holding one’s self was… strange, being one of the nicer ways to say it. He remained silent though. Allowing the fae to continue her analysis of the three new wolves that stood at her paws. Upon his second acceptance from the Alphess Anubis’ smile grew all the more in both its size and its charm. He however remained still as the Alphess moved onwards and spoke to the final two. Once she had come to her conclusions and awaited a reply Anubis finally moved. He took a very slight step forward and bowed his great head once more, this he directed to both Tola and Crow. His head rose finally once more. His eyes glistening with happiness, even the mysterious shards embedded in him seemed warmer. He raised his eyes to meet the faces of his new Alpha and Alphess but still he did not allow his to meet. It was still early and he had no intention of putting forth a gaze that could be misinterpreted as a threat. Instead he smiled broadly before ultimately opening his jaws.
“Alpha, Alphess. I thank you both greatly and equally for the compliments you have paid me and the honour of acceptance that you have bestowed into my paws. I assure you that my loyalties have been set to these lands for a while now. My time here as a loner, though brief has led me to fall in love with this place as much as I did fall in love with my home. This love has only been strengthened by the amazing wolves I have met then, and the wonders you yourself and your fine brother possess now. As for his ‘spectacle’ please let me assure you that I have lost no dis-respect for him, a wolf should know the importance of having time to relax. These are my opinions purely and I will not enforce them upon you however. Also. Alphess. It was as much, my fault that the event occurred. It was a spar between us so that I may display my ability to him and the result turned into a form of dance as a result of the appearance of a more complex terrain beneath us.
I hope this knowledge allows you a brief foresight. Please, I beg that you be sure that I will not lie to cover my own failings and burden others with a guilt that may be shared or mine alone. Nor will I.. For want of a better phrase.. Suck up, to the highest around to gain their favour. I have my opinions, my values and my morals and these I shall stick to. I can assure you of this much I hope. And finally, I shall wait for as long as I must to prove my worth to any other that requires it before hoping to achieve the noble rank of the Misuteriasu Mountain Beta.”
Anubis stood still once more. His body was full of gratitude and in all ways submissive to the two great leaders before him. His smile full of his love, his joy and his honestly as his songlike words flowed from his lips and fell softly through the air. =]

Fadeingechos sighed. Her small head bowed. “I see I am not welcomed here. I shall leave, and find a new home. Though sadly I do believe it would be harder to navigate most of the other lands with my wings. I know you wouldn’t want to know, But I will now travel to the Fukai pack to try my luck there. If you ever need help I would gladly give it…” Fadeingechos bowed her head once more. It was time to leave the lands she grew up in. Nothing tied her here. No emotions had kept her here. Truly now she guessed she wanted to leave. She jumped down from the rock quickly stretching her limbs. She nodded to the wolves. “It was….. Nice meeting you….” Spreading her wings she looked back at crow. “ You know you could gain respect easier with kindness, a iron paw, and respect for how others have been raised, their backgrounds, and what has made them they way they are.” She looked back to Tola again. “I am sorry; I believe I am overstaying my vist. So I will not bother you again, I guess you can find me in Fukai or the loner lands if you ever need my help, I would gladly give it. I will leave now, goodbye." Fadeingechos began to run her giant wings spreading as she leaped of a cliff. Her wings flapped giving her air she raised higher. She dwelled a moment longer looking back at the wolves she could have called pack mates.

Nera was not shocked at Tola's response, she had no doubt that she would except Anubis, and more that she would reject Fadeingechos, but she was confused on the response directed at her. She did have respect and trus in these packlands. It was just a statement saying that if needed, she would go. " Pardon me, but I did not intend to on how my words appeared. I wish to stay here, to embed my trust into the hearts of this pack. I only said that it would be a pleasure to leave if you wished because I only want to respect your requests. I want to assure you I meant nothing less in my trust by it. Only that if I can please you by granting this favor, it will be an honor." Nera said kindly. Tola was the leader and did demand respect. Nera did want this acception, but she was not begging, it was not always a life dream of hers, but she did want acception, to be loved by her pack was the one wish that almost caused her to beg. Nerakuma sat calmly and quietly after her speech. If Tola and Crow did not see it fit for her to be in their pack, then that was their wsh. But Nera saw only an issue with Tola, Crow had been so kind and Nera seemed to think she was very respectful in his eyes. It was only Tola, Nera had always had an issue with speeches around females. It was a common thing. Nera thought they were so picky. But it was understandable for Tola to question Nera's loyalty, it was, after all, for the safety of her pack.

He stood still watching the whole thing, his attention gripping onto Tola’s every word, picking out from them any sly or unnecessary remark she hid within them. She was always doing that, degrading others either with her tone or her speech. Crow knew it was her way of projecting authority, but he had always thought that there were much more appropriate ways of doing so. Stern words were all that should be needed, so long as you held the leadership to back them up. But that method had failed him here. Crow had done his best to keep his anger and bitter feelings aside as he greeting these newcomers with authority, despite how rude their own greetings may have been. He had kept a stern voice, and shown tolerance to the others, for their nomadic way of life most likely had warped their senses when in the presence of a pack leader. But still he had been easily flung aside, like some strip of meat, spoiled by rot. And what bothered him the most, was that Tola could waltz right in, and yell, complain, and insult all she wanted, and she received more respect than he! Perhaps that was what was truly needed to rule a pack, after all, Lucid was well skilled in throwing anger about.
He stepped back, giving Fadeingechoes a bit of room as Tola verbally ripped her apart. For a brief moment he felt sorry for her, but Crow supposed that she deserved it. Loner or not, pack superiors were to be respected, despite any personal opinions one may have. For a minute his solid, glowing eyes met her’s, and within their red confines he saw the nasty sting of rejection. He could not help a small portion of his heart reach out to her, Crow knew all-too-well what that was like; striving his entire life only for approval, only to have any efforts spat back into his face. And the fact that the spitting was done by his own father, only made the sting twice as painful. Crow had to shove any emotional connection to what had just happened to this fae aside, less he regret his own decision. She had disrespected him, after all, as well as approach him unannounced. If any laws were lax for even one individual, the entire system would crumble within their grasp. Imagine Father returning, with wolves running about, doing whatever they’d fancy. Crow glanced briefly at Tola. He supposed Lucid would have his son’s head mounted somewhere on display, but what of his only daughter? His ears folded with the conflicting emotions parading through his mind. Jealousy, rejection, pity…Crow supposed he needed to get a grip. This was, after all, what Father was always picking him apart for.
A rush of air buffeted him as Fadingechoes departed into the air. His gaze followed her skywards as her blue form shrank in the distance. Crow watched her circle the group, most likely awaiting a final goodbye from them all. He looked to Nerukuma as she spoke, then turning his steady gaze over to his sister. Blue eyes narrowed slightly, a look that said ‘I trust you to take care of this, politely’. Less than a breathes’ moment later, Crow’s massive wings expanded and he seemed to rocket into the air, leaving behind a wave of heated air, making the area feel – if only for a moment – like the middle of a blistering summer. His wings did not ‘flap’ as his huge body rose into the air. He only held them straight out at his sides as he approached the rejected female in the sky. The heat beneath his wings allowed him to fly vertically, and he even could hold himself still in the air with minimal effort. Hovering in the center of the small circle Fadingechoes created as she flew, Crow couldn’t help but feel slightly vulnerable. But he was more than confident that if this female were to lash out, she would bite off much more than she bargained for.
”Would you like an escort to the border? I can take you to any of two different packlands so you may try your luck there.” [/color] His voice was stern and strictly professional. Crow mentally praised himself for not revealing any hint of ‘kindness’ – ‘weakness’ – in his offer. He had the feeling that Fadingechoes had learned her lesson and would not repeat her wrong of disrespecting a leader should she choose to gain acceptance with a new pack.[/blockquote] Words:: 758 Muse:: dancin' all over the place! Tola held her head high with authority and respect as she watched the female she had just rejected fly off. She had never rejected a wolf, but felt it would have been for the best of the pack, not to mention, she hated disrespect, even if it was for her brother, who was still in charge. This didn't mean that she wouldn't pick at him and tease him, but it did mean she would not tolerate any disrespect in the pack toward any superior, no matter who they were. She had enough of that with Zytka.
She turned her head to Anubis and gave a respectful nod, her eyes holding their glowing gold aura, before she turned her attention to Crow, who followed after the female that had been rejected. She flicked her tail in a feline like manner before turning her attention to the other female that was remaining, awaiting to be accepted or rejected. She tilted her head to the side as she listened to the females response, brushing off Crow's look with a look of her own.
"You have shown enough respect, the only thing that made me wonder was whether or not you would remain loyal. As it is, I will accept you into these lands as a Subordinate. I assure you, should you prove that your heart lies with the pack, you will be more than welcome and more than accepted within its ranks. Now, since we have two new members, shall we make our way toward the den area? This way, you can choose your sleeping quarters and perhaps have a bit of a refreshing nap or meal?" [/b] She gave a small flick of her tail and adjusted her large white wings with the flame tipped feathers into a more comfortable position.[/blockquote] ((Wow short post... forgive please.))

The brute’s smile was grateful and precise in response to the brief nod he received of his new Alphess. He then gave a brief nod to excuse himself as he then moved onwards after the departing fae. His paws fell almost silently but there was still a soft crunching of snow under his heated pads. His movements were divine, streamline and elegant. As he passed the other whom he knew as Nerakuma he bowed his head and smiled warmly. He then continued to walk onwards past her and he finally reached a point below his Alpha and the blue femme. He smiled just as warmly with a sense of regret to see her leave before he finally called out to her.
“I do greatly regret that I never had the experience to get to know you better Ms Fadeingechoes. Perhaps one day our paths will cross again. I wish for that to be under merry circumstances, and I very much await that day with a joyous anticipation.”[/b]
His tail swished slightly from side to side as he ended his speech with a short but pleasant howl as he wished her and possibly his Alpha a very safe journey. He would be sorry to see her go but he also understood the necessities of it all to well. Anubis remained there, his stance near perfection in its stillness as he awaited a reply of any kind from his companions. Once he had said his farewells and the fae was out of site he would then divert his attention to the other who had still been allowed to keep the company of which she had made. After all, a congratulation sand a welcome were in order. But a gentleman did not turn away from a lady as she was departing. It was disrespectful and simply wasn’t done. His smile was kind though and though his eyes glistened towards the fae and Crow it was clear that it was as much for Nerakuma as it was for the others. So it was that the gentleman stood in the snow looking perfectly in love with what were now his homelands and with the company he had made. He had not lied before, these where people he would wish to meet again and on very fond terms, and this was a land he loved very, very much..

“So do I,” Fadeingechos looked back over all the others towards the camp in the heartlands. “You know, I wish I had no emotional attachment here, but I do…. My father live there, He died in the middle of camp from a heart attack.” Her voice was hushed as she shivered not caring now if she showed weakness. This has been her home. Well it was just too bad now. Hopefully Fukai would become her home, maybe even the loner plains. Her gaze held tightly locked with the unseen camp. “Well if we are to go, please bring me to Fukai waterfalls pack.” Than almost in such a hushed silent voice she added. “ I wish She would change her mind, there are still trees there, I need open ground to spread my wings, You know crow, You truly are a kind wolf, you have earned my respect in that simple small gesture.” She looked away from the lands behind her looking forward. She felt tears that had long since dried up. She shivered bringing her tail between her legs, than dragging up her legs. She sat upright flying like a hummingbird. She looked like a begging dog. She leaned forward looking like she stood on the wind. She took paces forward. “Shall we depart?” She asked looking at crow. Pain stabbing though her as she looked at the two closet things she ever had to friends. She looked down the tears started to flow. No more visits to her dad’s burial place, No more running in the sky over open ground, no more….home. “Fukai, if I’m accepted, will never be my true home.” She whispered sadly. Her head hanging, body slouching as if in defeat.

Nera looked pationatly at Fadeingechos. She did honestly mean no harm, it was just her nature. She did have a marvelous reason to be here She had much sympothy forthe elegant fae. But Tola and Crow were looking for he best for their pack. Nera was grateful hat she had made the acception. It was so close, she had nearly talked her way right out of the pack. Things always came out wrong when she spoke to females and wolves in greater rank than her. No matter what she always managed to dig herself in a hole. "I bow my head and thank you. I will do my best to completely earn your trust. It will be my life goal to be one with his pack. To have this be my homw for he rest of my hopefully healthy life. I will follow the laws set by your wonderful father Lucid. This will be my life and my one true home. I turn to you, Anubis, and congradulate you for your acheivments. And Fadeingechos, as maybe we have started of hardly, I do wish you a safe journey. If you do eventually make your way to Fukai, you may find my long lost friend. When you meet her you will now who i mean. Tell her I say hello if you would oh so kindly do so. I. Wish you safe travels, so goodbye for now." Nera smiled towards Fadeigechos, she felt much sympothy and sadness. It would be much bordom without the sarcasm of Fadeingechos. But atleast her other friend Anubis was accepted. And Crow was in fact rather kind when he tried. Nera looked around, so this was her new home. She sniffed he air, taking in the aroma of the mountains. This was now were she would gladly make her home.
