His shoulders were starting to feel heavy as were his back and paws, for he had been walking awhile now and had long since left the delightful warmth of the hot springs and the company of Elva and Echosong. The wind was icy and tore at his coat but he was oblivious and strode, completely submerged in his element. He held his head high and joyous. I smile of sheer bliss was upon his lips and his tail swished side from side in a mild expression of his growing excitement. His pose gave away no evidance of his fatigue nor any weaknessess he may posses. It remained, very simply, happy and most importantly he made sure to show no threat and no dis-respect to Any wolf he should meet along his way.
He sighed almost silently, remaining by all means degnified and calm. Now. Finally he stopped and just stood. Gazing around him he breathed in letting his lungs swell with the devine crisp air that stroked his fur and tickled his whiskers. Anubis threw back his head and laughted in great joy and began to appraise his surroundings from the depths of his heart. Of course, to no one in particular. He was now completely alone.
"Oh this place. It is Truely Perfect!!"[/b]
Anubis Smiled broader, the only way he could fully express his imense amount of love. It was as charming as ever by which to show his love for this land and then; He threw back his great head and Howled. Hello! Mitsuteriasu! I am home if only you would let me into your paws and your heart! I shall love you dearly great world! And now, I must find your Alpha and make his most excelent accquaintance.
((OOC: the white that isn't in bold is basicly the message in his howl, how it would be read (submissive, highly respectful but with his intentions within.) ^^))[/i]

His great heat below his wings lessened as he lowered his altitude to the loner. Crow didn’t come into sight just yet, hiding his huge body within the shadow of a passing cloud. He hovered above, silently and slowly, eyeing the loner from nose to tail. He could scent nothing threatening about this wolf, nor had his call been odd at all. Crow’s ears flicked as he lessened the heat that held him aloft enough to let him ‘float’ gently to the ground. He made sure that he landed in plain view of the stranger, Crow hated when someone startled him and didn’t want to do it to someone else. His claws gripped the earth gently, their heat melting the light snow beneath them. Glowing blue eyes looked down to the loner as he held his posture high and proud. He was the alpha of the pack while his father was away – dual leadership with his sister. He sniffed again at the wolf, fully taking in all his details and features. Crow’s eyes widened in interest seeing this rogue up close.
Blue shards, of all shapes and sizes, appeared to be imbedded in this wolf’s skin and pelt. Crow’s mind raced with questions as he looked them all over. Perhaps linked to his power? Maybe this wolf’s ability had something to do with the shards; it was his most-likely conclusion. Crow pondered how they got there, and if the process had hurt. A small curve of interest found its way upon his maw, but he did his best to hide it. He still didn’t know this male. With the last thought, his mind found its way back to the task at hand, wiping the small smile from his black face. He hoped that this loner was much more accommodating than Zytka had been. He couldn’t imagine having three wolves competing for the rank of Omega within their pack.
”Welcome, loner, to the Mountain Pack.” His voice was steady and strong as he found his words within his mind. ”Before you are accepted fully, please, tell me of yourself. I’ll not have strangers running around our lands.” He kept his posture high, though it was hardly needed. Crow could have sulked, hanging his head low, and he still would have looked down to the wolf before him. He had inherited his father’s massive height-easily twice as tall as the brute before him. Anubis stands now, instantly calm and at peace both inside and out. His more devious side is peeking around inside him, this new figure one of interest to it but Anubis himself is far to happy to allow any... mistakes. And thus 'it' remains quiet and undiscovered. Anubis proceeded to lower his great a head and close his eyes, placing himself into a siuation where he may be vulnerable. Anubis' mark to show respect for this stranger and also his trust and understanding of the authority this young male posessed.
There was a small smile still on Anubis' lips but it was one of simple joy left over from his previous lived excitement of his arrival and held no dis-respect nor arrogance. Only his submissive charm. His head remained low.
"Of course Sir. My name is Anubis, you may take any varriation of this that you see fit and if not Anubis itself will surfice. My power is to create ice by freezing the liquids around me. If you wish I can demonstrate. As for my past I came from a land much like this. I am an only child and my family are back where I once was. I believe that is everything but if you wish for anything more you have only to ask.
The one remaining point is that, should you, nor any other wish otherwise I request the possition of Beta. I understand this may not be accomplishable at once, it is never wise to accept one so close to you having only just made their aquaintance. If the position is filled and it is felt that the occupier is unfit I will be willing to fight for the title. I feel that is all, do you wish anything further?"
His head remains bowed and his smile stays the same. Only giving respect and the information required, nothing else. Anubis waits patiently for your reply.

Crow’s ears shot forward in interest as the male bowed to him, eyes closed and neck exposed. A flutter tickled the inmost cavities of his chest. Never before had he been shown such respect without a command. Crow’s mind softened from what it had been only moments before. The verbal quarrel between Zytka, Elva, Tola and himself had prepared him for the worst with this loner; and instead he was greeted with respect and even gratitude. Crow felt talk, higher, and mightier than he ever had before. His sour mood suddenly lifted and any nervous thoughts were pushed to the back of his mind. Crow let out a genuine smile, though the brute wouldn’t see through his closed eyes, and he placed his rump gently on the ground. His previous position of authority relaxed as he no longer felt the need to force it on this loner.
His tails gave steady wags behind him with Anubis’ blunt honesty. White-tipped ears perked when he claimed to control ‘ice’. Crow’s mind wandered, he was suddenly intrigued. Perhaps a mock dual between the two would prove interesting. He couldn’t remember the last time he had sparred with another. It was probably way back in his puppyhood with his brother Haven. His control of heat and temperature should prove interesting in a sparring match with Anubis. However; Crow’s playful thoughts were interrupted with this newcomer’s request.
His large skull cocked slightly as one ear flicked down. A single, heavy brow above his glowing eyes cocked in confusion. Beta? Crow didn’t even know this wolf, and though he had made a marvelous first impression, he wouldn’t dare put a stranger in such an important position of responsibility over his family. His ears flicked, on the other paw, this male did seem to be a marvelously honest character. Something that Crow could truly respect. With his authoritive voice, he spoke, ”Anubis, I know we’ve only met, but I can see that you are a true and honest wolf. There is no current occupier of the position, but please understand that the pack is my family, and I would never put them in harms’ way. I do trust you, but not with my life. If you wish to become Beta, I will ask you to prove yourself in your own way. Show me your intentions, and show me your dedication to this pack. Then we will speak of ranks.” Only then did the thought occur to him: would father approve of himself and Tola choosing positions of power within the pack. But he supposed that their alpha would be back soon enough to pick his own right-hand.
Crow’s confusion left his face as the small smile returned. ”For now, I welcome you warmly to the Mountain Pack as a pack member and subordinate. And Anubis, there is one more thing I’d like to request of you…” The small smile turned into a complete, toothy grin. ”Would you fancy a sparring match?” [/blockquote]

The sleet coloured brute's eyes opened once more, and he finally raised his head. Slowly, for no permission of such was given and so respect was still called for. Naturally. The smile grew kinder still to see Crow's relaxed yet protective air and it was clear that an excelent mind was working behind that merry smile. Anubis's fondness and respect for this male grew at the knowledge that he would put his pack before his own opinions, after all it was not yet his to rule and an alpha-to-be who took such care was already showing great potential. Anubis's smile broadened as he nodded his agrement, mostly to himself before he opened his jaw and spoke.
"But of course, I would see it no other way. It is up to you or your Aplha as to whether I become Beta and I shall leave the decision in both of your fine paws. I simply felt it best to put forward my case. I would consider it an honour to walk with you and that we better aquaint one another, that way you can be sure of your thoughts. And indeed, a family is something one must always treasure, for when they are gone one thing that always lingers... is a sense of regret."[/b]
His smile is still calm and still it gives nothing away, Anubis' words spoken as mere statement of opinion and not of any personal experiences. His ears then prick up with polite interest once you speak of your final request. Upon hearing it everything changes. A shiver rushes over Anubis' body as soon as the question leaves your lips and his eyes almost Flash. the blood colouration almost seems to set alight and the silver glistens. The smile, still polite and unchanged now seems to be almost smirking as his jewelery chimes in warning in response to the rippling fur. Every element of Anubis now seems to scream danger and still he is exactly the same. Finally, shards of ice appear and shoot skywards out of the earth behind him. He does not flinch. The ice surrounds Anubis like a throne and there he stands. A king of his power.
He remains as calm and unthreatening as ever giving no reason to feel alarm nor dis-respect, this is all show to announce his acceptance to the challenge and his joy of the request. He speaks.
"I would love to good sir. Do you wish to select an arena to benefit us both, rules, and then, shall we begin?" [/b]

He watched Anubis contemplate his suggestion, but only for a moment. Crow couldn’t help but feel a bit eager. Ever since he had settled back into the pack from his scouting duties, he had slowly begun to feel restless. Yes he did still scout the borders and maintain the pack, but the immense energy still built up like a lidded volcano on the young wolf. He would exert himself by chasing prey, just for the thrill of it, but the rams were the only creatures that truly posed a challenge for him up in the mountain peaks, and they had grown scarce in the winter. His twin tails flicked idly behind him, easily hiding the energy from his hidden excitement that was about to burst forth.
”We need no arena nor rules, just be respectful of me like I of you.” Very few times had he ever felt as playful as he did at this very moment in time. For as long as he could remember he had been conditioned and trained by his father and by himself. He was the alpha’s son, meant to be perfect, meant to follow in Lucid’s footsteps. Only very few moments in his puppyhood had he actually had the chance to act like a puppy should. To romp and play, to spar just for the fun of it. Crow felt great.
His enormous chest crouched low to the ground while his rear quarters still stood high. A mischievous half-grin curved his maw. Large black claws picked at the ground with anticipation. His large, black wings unfurled from his sides, but he only held them there. Silence settled between the two males as Crow studied his opponent. Glowing blue eyes seemed to flicker, ”Are you ready?” But he gave Anubis no time to reply. Crow awakened his fire inside, and super-heated all the snow on the ground around the two of them. Steam seemed to erupt from the ground, hissing and forming a thick fog in the winter’s air. Crow leapt forward in his cover and heated the air beneath his wings to shoot him foreword like a rocket toward Anubis. He held back laughter as he bared his large shoulder to shove the brute in their game. [/blockquote]

Anubis grinned as their duel began and he was very aware of the power this young heir possessed. He was strong and quick on his paws but even more so his conditioning made him deadly as he knew precisely what had to be done. The blood boiled in Anubis’ body as the adrenaline clawed its way through him and making his charming smile all the more sinister, all the more deadly. He darted back and arced around Crow, just missing the oncoming shove. For the firs time Anubis understood how it felt to be smaller than another and the notion fascinated him. His size meant dexterity wasn’t his best attribute but he was graceful and correct in his movements, everything a dance of posture and compliance where he was king. Forever darting and prancing out of the way of Crow’s onslaught Anubis spoke beautifully;
”But of course good sir, I mean nothing but respect. Allow me to assure you now that any attack I lay upon your body is of no discourtesy but simply a part of this Spar…[/b] His eyes glisten and sheen like razors as his slightly more fearsome side escapes a little to rear its luscious head. ”You have only to ask, for me to release you from my clutches young Master. Have no fear of that.”[/b]
The air was warm and steam chocked it, Anubis’ eyes darting to and fro while his smile remained calm. His naturally elevated body temperature aided him as the increasing heat did nothing to phase him, he was still warmer that the surrounding air, Anubis merely sniffed, his smile warm. Charming as ever. He stepped slowly and with perfect etiquette in his body’s stance and as his eyes glistened, as did the shards within his body. The steam began to freeze and the air began to get cold.
The remaining heat combined with the falling snowflakes melted it a little but more continued to appear from the freezing water vapour. And thus the area surrounding the two wolves grew sleety. Anubis shook his fur and yowled in joy at this frozen world he had made for himself. Suddenly his eyes flashed and his darker side was poking at his mind again. His teeth were drawn, claws out. It was his turn to lunge at Crow, the air around Anubis freezing into hard shards of ice.
((Hehe he's having fun too! XD By the way, none of his behaviour here is ever meant to be impolite, he'd never give that impression. It would be said like dueling words, meant to bite but in no way give the impression of rudeness. Basicly I guess I'm saying it's not said in a way that Crow should see it as offensive ^^ Also, the purple speach is his darker side, it would be hard to see the difference IC but it's just so you know OOC See ya! ^^))

Crow caught himself with a heavy thud as his shoulder barely missed Anubis’. He had been so close, both their hairs had brushed against one another. His huge paws dug gouges into the ground as his weight came to a skidding halt – his nose less than a foot from a large tree. That was the biggest downfall of his inherited size, unless he was at the peak of the mountains where trees grew few and far apart from one another, he always had to be highly aware of his surroundings. And he had made the mistake of assuming that he would have successfully shoved Anubis, and he hadn’t paid any attention to what was behind his sparring partner. Crow shook the miscalculation from his thick fur, and turned back to his target, his childlike grin still plastered thickly on his black maw.
Twin-tails raised high into the air, his harks mimicking their motion. Crow’s thick whiskers twitched as the steam cooled as snow in the air, falling as thin, gentle flakes. Crow watched as Anubis bared his pearl fangs. He hoped that the wolf wasn’t taking this too seriously. For Crow this was all fun and he wouldn’t even think about intentionally causing harm. That was why he had tried to do nothing more than shove Anubis with his shoulder instead of using any claws or fangs. But he supposed if this got out of hand, he’d only have to command Anubis to stop. Crow, after all, was rule in mother’s and father’s absence – dubbed so by them. Thoughts racing, the idea of allowing Anubis time to strike back flew through his mind, but he instead, again, decided to take the offensive. His solid blue eyes glowed with both excitement and his power. Quicker than a blink of an eye, the ground that Anubis stood on grew red with heat. He held his grip on the heat carefully, making sure that it was not enough to burn the pads on his partner’s paws, but just enough to make him dance. [/blockquote]

Anubis' ears perked up as the ground beneath him started to warm up, first he sighed as it soothed his cold paws, then he started to lift each paw in turn before replacing it to the ground as the stinging sensation of heating up something cold quickly began to take effect and soon he was doing a very distinguished little jig. His smile was immensely joyous and his eyes glisten with excitement, he hadn’t danced in a long time. He then turned his merry smile towards the temporary Alpha and laughed his delight.
”Delightful! Simply wonderful good sir! I haven’t danced in an age and it has certainly been something I had forgotten my passion for. Thank-you a million times for reminding me… but.. can you keep up?”[/b]
Anubis’ smile grew calmer but broader and as it did the ground beneath Crow’s feet began to freeze leaving him standing on ice. Slippery, cold ice. Anubis laughed, his eyes full of adoration for this young wolf. He knew how to have fun. This could always prove to be a disadvantage in the future but Anubis knew that it was also an equally important quality. Not only that but as Beta, he would protect this pack. All of it.
Anubis’ smile was thoughtful, his paw missed its footing and a spark of heat shot through it causing him to lower his brow with concentration and a mask to the slight pain. He looked up to his sparring partner and smiled, awaiting his competitors countering dance with delighted anticipation.

Fadeingechos had landed in a rock. Her gaze was upon Anubis’. “What are you all doing?” She asked her unemotional voice cold and uncaring. Her wings sat nicely tucked on her back. Her long tail wrapped around her paws for warmth. She didn’t see how anyone could dance. Then again she had only just arrived. So she had no idea what had happened. Fadeingechos’ gaze shifted a little from the wolf the ground near him. Nothing was there, yet she could have sworn she saw something. Her gaze returned to the wolf. No feelings escaped them. See only set a cold as stone glare upon him. Her gaze shifted to crow.” I haven’t seen you before.” The tip of her tail had started to twitch with slight anger. She layed down yawning. The rock had gathered warmth from the day. Her large muscles relaxed. She just watched the two not caring if they answered. Her wings sort of fell covering her body and most of the rock. She sniffed for food. None close enough. A fly buzzed around her nose. She layed her head down so it flew away. She muttered something. Her stare had left the wolves and now rested far away. Her thoughts had come to encircle her again. Her blue fur ruffled in the wind. Her dark purple stripes almost covered now from her fur. Then she remembered. There wolves haven’t seen my eyes will they think I’m blind. The thought raced though her mind. Her white pupils seemed to almost be engulfed with worry. It disappeared. Her white pupils seemed normal now, with blood red surrounding them.

Nerakuma approached the three wolves, only one seemed to be doing something that was normal for wolves. But, still, Nera kind of enjoyed their creativeness, it was not since she last saw her pups had she had ever smiled and felt some what amused inside. She only recognized Crow and Fadingechos, the other seemed to be a loner. But still as strang as he was, she had respect for his smile, his eyes, and his dance moves. Not knowing if they had seen her yet, she started to stay hidden. But as they danced she couldn't help but giggle, so that was it, her cover was blown. The loner looked at her he seemed curious, so Nera slowly emerged from the bushes, the wind whipping her fur all around. Her eyes glistened as she watched them still dance about, she had never seen Crow move like this before. The loner, which by now she had learned his name by listening in conversation, Anubis seemed to be a natural. Nera walked up to them all, Anubis still looking at her, Crow to concentrated, and Fadingechos sun bathing on a near by rock. "Um, hello my good wolves, I am sorry if I interupt, but I am Nerakuma, I have a request, one of to join your pack, and one other, the position of betess. I am aware that I must work for it but I am willing to fight. So if you would so kindly give me the chance I know I could prove myself, I understand that you, Crow, are not completely in charge of the positions, but I am sure if you came through to your father and requested me when I seem most worthy, then I may have a better chance." Nera lifted her head, now everybody was looking at her, even Fadingechos had some what opened her eyes to peak at the new stranger, did it work, did Nera really get through to them?
