Thorn, Axel, Farseeker, Dagger, Nurakshi, Brutal, Blizzard Destruction, Pyro, Xain, Oblivion... How many times had she gone over the names of all those who had joined her and then turned their backs on her like heartless cowards? The list did not end there, she knew. But how was she to remember the names of each and every spineless, yellow-bellied worm that had betrayed her? The treachory was a thing of the past, for she was just a fallen Queen now, but as she wandered alone, frustration and hurt burned deep within her, and she felt no shame in shedding hot, resentful tears. The list of cowards was only a small portion of her life's stresses and disappointments, however. Her greatest concern of the present was finding a stable and reliable home, but her heart wondered frequently of the whereabouts and the wellness of her children and missing packmates of long ago. She'd never found the bodies, but where could they have gone if they were still alive? For all she knew, they were slaves or prisoners to some tyrannical beast, with no hope for rescue.
Despair pulled at her constantly, but rage was even more common. She tore at the trees when they looked at her funny, and she spat venom at the ground when it spoke out of line. Hmm, well perhaps psychosis was her most common mindframe of all. But she was not crazy, no, she was just distraught and bored. Life had little to offer, as she saw it, but she craved for more. She longed for all the good things in life, and only more aggression built within her as she was constantly denied. A fit of anger rippled through her body, and her tails whisked through the air furiously, quills rattling as she whipped the openess around her. Striking nothing, she breathed a deep breath and sighed soflty, satisfied at least that she had weilded her weapons. Now, where was she?
It was with the sudden calmness that surrounded her that she came to realize she had neared a scent-border, and high mountains ascended before her. She did not chuckle, though she felt quite sheepish for having not realized any of this much sooner than she had. But perhaps if she could find a purpose, she would not be so lost in her thoughts; she would be able to function normally again, if this was a place for her. Her heavy head rose to the sky and she let forth a mighty roar of a howl, calling to whomever it was that had claimed this territory. With her song finished, her head lowered once more, horns glinting in the daylight and teeth flashing under her lips. Taking another deep breath, she sat peacefully, her lushious, deadly tails wrapping around her base as she awaited whoever it was that would respond to her call for an audience.

"Lost is just a word for those who have nothing left" Alten
”We run in circles No direction do I see” ”The dust has blinded you The dust has blinded me” xxxxx Alten could feel the pulse of pain from the stranger before he could smell her, see her, or hear her. Something extremely terrible must have happened to the stranger to cause such a beat from their heart. He didn't run to the stranger, no, he took his sweet time, his mind lingering on the days he had with his Mama and his Papa. His brothers- where were they now? Did they even remember Alten? He let a snort fall from his muzzle at the foolishness of it. They probably remembered the pup that was Alten. That was back before he had his wings or his tails. Back before his appearance was so changed.
She paused in his steps, his eye smarting painfully as he recalled his father chasing him away when he refused to leave his mother's side. Could one blame him? He had already been hurt so painfully, nearly killed, as a youngpup. Coming upon the stranger, he could hear her howl and smirked as he listened. So much pain, so much confusion. Everything was pulsing within the fae's heart as he approached her. "Well, hello there." He spoke, his face was all smiles as he sat in front of the femme, his tails wagging at a slow pace.
His eyes looked over her odd appearance... but who was he to say that. With how large he was, he was pretty sure that most wolves didn't trust him. Come on, guys, just because he's larger than nearly every wolf (sans a select few) doesn't mean he's gonna jump on you the second you turn your back! He's too lazy for that! Anyways, yes, he wasn't one to talk at all. "Do you mind if I wait with you?" He wasn't one for company, but he was just too damn lazy to howl himself. Plus, he was pretty sure that if it was just him, he wouldn't be accepted. Many alpha's had already rejected him for his size.
Please! Couldn't they see he was too lazy to do anything about Alpha position in a pack? He was a good asset when hunting or fighting, as those were the only things that got this brute off his rump.

Bloodeye had shifted little since releasing her howl to the skies, for her only concern was on picking up the sound of approaching footsteps. She had hoped for the reigning Alpha of the lands when she heard someone come near, but when she saw the brute that was approaching her, she could tell from his very demeanor that he held no such status. He seemed quite thrilled to have come upon her, his smile wide and tails wagging. He looked like some sort of oversized pup. An awkward smile tugged at the corners of her lips, and she raised onto all fours, each of her tails arched high in the air, their length hanging down behind her. The quills swayed together, clinking ever so gently, so lightly that most wolves would not have noticed, though he might. "Greetings, hessian," she spoke confidently, voice low. She was watching him, unsure what to think.
His size was impressive, something that most wolves might feel uncomfortable with, but Bloodeye could not bring herself to feel intimidated by his sheer bulk. There was little she feared, and she certainly wouldn't start here with this brute. However, her crimson orbs flashed with annoyance, a dangerous glimmer in them as she watched him glance over her; her hackles were just about to rise when he seemed finished looking, and, making no uncalled for advances, Bloodeye calmed. As he asked to accompany her in waiting for the Alphas, she smirked, tails swaying indifferently. "Very well, if that is what you wish," she stated with a shrug, shivering slightly as a chill wind blew and ruffled her cream-coloured coat. She grunted, giving a mighty shake to try and rid herself of the unpleasant coldness, though with little success.
Tilting her head, Bloodeye felt comofortable enough to recline upon her haunches once more - it wasn't like this brute before her seemed very interested in causing trouble. He'd have something coming to him if he wanted to start anything, so she did not worry. An aud flicked, and she parted her jaws to speak to him again. "So, I take it you're also new around these parts?" she questioned lightly as her tails wrapped around her protectively, "What is your name, if you don't mind me asking? Mine is Bloodeye. If we are both seeking acceptance here, we might as well know each other, correct?" She didn't want to seem too invasive, for she knew she was not a Queen with rights to demand answers, and some wolves could be pretty picky about who they shared information with. However, if they were to share a home, they needn't stay strangers, a pack couldn't possibly function like that.
Glancing away from him, her eyes searched the forest, wondering if any others were going to join them. Specifically, she hoped the Alphas would make an appearance soon. She wouldn't be able to keep up a conversation forever with the stranger who'd approached her. Eyes then shifted back to him, wondering what he would tell her. Faced not with a challenge or a haughty, arrogant creature, Bloodeye felt calm and patient, not lacking in self-control. She preferred meetings with these sorts of personalities, for she didn't feel the need to defend herself and show off her strengths in hopes of fending off another. No, instead she could just relax, make smalltalk and sit quietly without worry or anger.

"Lost is just a word for those who have nothing left" Alten
”We run in circles No direction do I see” ”The dust has blinded you The dust has blinded me” xxxxx There was some sort of tension that hung int he air as soon as he made himself known. Did she think he would attack her? Well, he was a large wolf, and suddenly approaching her without warning or meaning would put someone on edge he supposed. He just never had a problem with it... many either avoided him or didn't seem intimidating to him- after all, nothing seemed quite intimidating to him. A feeling of sleepiness overcame him, traveling from his mind into the rest of his limbs as he lowered himself to the snowy ground. The feeling continued to travel through his body and finally through his maw. Opening his jaws wide, a low sound that seemed to shake the air around him seeped from within in the form of a yawn.
Snaping his mouth closed as soon as he realized the tone of his yawn, he glanced to the fae. "My apologies, Miss." He mumbled, ashamed for letting the sound waves of his yawn become so low. It could have seriously deafened someone if he had been right up close and he wondered if she even knew that if he had been placed just right, she wouldn't be there to hear his apology.
Her words were sharp in his ears, each syllable having its own beat within her voice and he smiled softly, listening to the steady rhythm. His eyes flicked over the fae and he gave a chuckle. "Hm, so many questions, Miss. Your first question; yes, I am new around these parts. Second; my name is Alten. And third; yes, we should know each other," He responded lengthily, the wings at his sides flexing out a bit, so that the muscles didn't become cramped up when he decided they had a use. "So why don't you tell me something about yourself?"

OOC: ((Hey guys, just putting this out there, but would u wanna join threads with Wolfox and myself? It would be Roan and Dilivi but why not have a small congregation that way when alphas or Tolo or Crow do show up, they can meet them all? Just a thought ^^ and when i say join threads i mean me coming to you two in this one. Wolfox, Dilivi and Roan could just wander the short distance((lets just say short distance)) to Alten and Bloodeye after hearing heard Bloodeyes call so close. What do you say? if not that's fine too ^^))

Roan snorted and let a weak smile creep on to the left side of his maw, this female intrigued him with her looks and contrasting personality. She was defiantly one of the misunderstood types; one of the ones that do not take on the persona of their reputation. This fact made him rather joyful inside, though he didn’t let it show in any of his expressions except for his smirk. He hated when creatures put labels on others because of their image, their past, or their lineage… It made no sense to him what so ever. This could be because of how he had been so misunderstood, but also because of experience had told him so. Look at Crow, son to power-hungry, destruction happy hellion, while Crow himself dignified, and held compassion and a level of understanding to him. Roan really liked this about Crow, he didn’t fit what he was “supposed” to be, the maniacal heir to the thrown. Alike this one before him, he got the same feel over. Her eyes held no trickle of hidden agendas, and her words of acceptance seemed as sincere as Roans had been not too long ago when he had joined, saying the exact same thing.
“Again. You and me both sweetheart.” He flashed his teeth on the side that was bowed upward, not in a growl or any subtle dominance flare, it was just a show. His peripherals watched her wings as they creaked, and moved like the awkward shadows of bare tree branches under the moon light. His snake like tongue slithered around his two protruding upper k-9’s, not searching for something but rather tasting the air while subtly melting the frost that began to form on them. The Zebra pattern on his midsection seemed to move in the moon light like light reflections off of rippling water. His tail moved and flicked beside him like a companion that doted on his every word. “Dilivi.. What does..” He was cut off by his ears perking and his massive head turning toward their right. His lips curled but no sound came from his vocals, he was listening. Another howl had come to his attention and there short after, voices. He looked back to Dilivi, his eyes less friendly at his attention change, but his voice was soft and redirected, “Come. Appears you aren’t the only one searching for acceptance right now.” In a swift move he picked his body up in a turned motion to the right, his head nodded distinctly to follow him. He assumed the female had heard the others too, and that this would only make sense. He somewhat hopped she wouldn’t take offense to his sudden cold expression; he was a fierce wolf who had a form of OCD. He liked to move around, take care of lose ends, and wasn’t about to leave something that needed attention un attended if he was able to do something about it. He was always one to listened to someone else, really take in and ponder others, but because his brain felt something needed to be sought, it bugged him until he sought it and it was taken care of. He sneered at the interruption as he padded forward through the leveled snow. The wind was blowing shards of snow blinding out in the open, so he kept to any coverage he could. Occasionally, when moving around a bend, he lifted a glob of aluminum from the earth and threw the snow and formed it into a large sheet that blocked the wind at their front right.
It worked well and lessened the blow of the bitter cold on their noses and eyes. He looked behind him, eyes sharp making sure the female was near him, staying within the blocking power of his shield.
Soon the voices were really near, if it wasn’t for the shield Road could probably have seen them. As they came closer to the forest’s edge, Roan dropped the aluminum back into the earth, it just phasing threw the soil and snow back into its resting place. He approached quickly, shaking his mane to get the snow off of his longer fur. His shorter fur tended to melt the snow as soon as it landed because of the body heat. The forest was a wonder, snow topping the canopy of bare branches and a very thin layer of it on the ground. The air seemed less unforgiving here and even the wind died drastically from their higher position on the mountain. Roan looked to both the new comers with fierce eyes that held a hint of calm to them, and then he looked back to Dilivi, making sure he left a gap open for her to sit within a circle of the 3. Roans tongue snaked in and out at the wolves, his voice almost hissing and sharp, it being from the cold air he had breathed, “Welcome to Misuteriasu Mountains. I take it you are new by your scents… I have yet to come across them here.” His scaly tail wisp behind him at the light snow that covered the ground, his stature was larger than the males before him, but he didn’t tower over him like he did with the two females. Bother females however were very different from any he had seen before; one with a demonic appearance, and the other a muscular gal that was graced with horns upon her head. He liked this new place he called home, everyone was just as different as he was, and for the first time in his life, he felt he was among his kind… even though the blood that coursed through his veins was much different than theirs.
“I am Roan.” And that was it, simply put. His eyes rest upon the other male, as if asking for his calling first. The muscles not covered by his mane and spine fur rippled with engagement at the gathering. While he was lean, his muscles seemed almost bulky for his skinny underside.

"There’s a hole where my heart once was" DILIVI
”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry Sleep like a rock by the stream” ”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby I’ll be with you when you dream” xxxxx DILIVI was touched by this varg's sense of compassion. He seemed to take what she said and understand it. He didn't run, frightened by her looks. He didn't scowl, already judging her. He listened, and replied with a nice, but not overly sugar-coated comment that brought a small smile to DILIVI's face. Maybe she could have a new life here. Maybe she didn't have to wander for the rest of eternity, wondering where she came from and who she would be the next day. Maybe she could forget the terrors of her past and-
Her train of thought was cut off by the male speaking and leading her away. She was wary about following him. It could have been a trap, but she wasn't sure because as they walked, the brute protected them from the unforgiving wind with some sort of metal that seeped from the earth. Her smile grew a little wider as she let her trust lead her blindly. Her pink tongue flicked out, licking her nose and the side of her maw. She could feel where the fur grew no longer on her muzzle. She could trace the letters D, I, L, I, L, and I held together with a bar on top of the letters and another on the bottom. Roman Numerals, done incorrectly, so you know.
Her white ear flicked forward as they approached the two other wolves and she could hear them. The shield of sorts was dropped and the spikes along her back rose in defense. She had been taken off guard, the other male whom was sitting there looking quite large and intimidating. She supressed the small growl that threatened to rise from the back of her throat at his size. It would have been hypocritical of her to do so. She didn't want others to run in fear from her because of her looks, so she assumed the larger brute didn't want others to growl at him for his sheer size. But her wayward anger and surprise was squashed as the first brute she had come upon finally told his name. Roan.
[/blockquote] "Lost is just a word for those who have nothing left" Alten
”We run in circles No direction do I see” ”The dust has blinded you The dust has blinded me” xxxxx Alten could hear the two new wolves approaching him and the fae who went by the name of Bloodeye. He could feel the pulses of the two- one seemingly fast, like it was happy about something. He wasn't one to question about that, he would find out which one it was when they got closer. Shaking his pelt, the fresh fallen snow fell from it, some half melted globs sticking slightly to the ends of his brown fur.
He was shocked as the two new wolves approached. Neither of them looked like wolves. One looked like a dragon nearly, and the other looked like something from the tales his mother used to tell him to keep him in line- to get him to behave. The other brute addressed them all in one sentence, and it was then Alten knew that the new brute and the new fae didn't know each other. The new brute, Roan, asked of their names and Alten was indifferent to answering. Laying his head down on his paws, which were crossed in front of his body, his teal eyes were switching between, Bloodeye, Roan, and the unnamed fae.
"Alten," He mumbled, nearly sleepily, but he didn't close his eyes or show any signs of falling into the realm of dreams. His eyes slid over to Bloodeye, wondering if the fae would tell her name first. But sadly, another voice spoke up. "I am DILIVI," He chuckled and looked to the nightmarish fae with mirth stirring in his eyes. "Lovely name. Now," His eyes danced back over to Bloodeye, and he gave her a smirk that clearly said, I'm gonna mess with you because I feel like it, "You gonna tell them your name, Princess." Alten briefly wondered if he was going to be allowed to live.

The horned fatale flattened her ears as the brute yawned, for it was something much different from a typical yawn; she could feel her eardrumbs throbbing as the noise filled the air. It hardly even seemed loud, but the fact that she could feel it vibrating through her head said something of importance. This wolf had a power which she was very unfamiliar with. It neither frightened nor intrigued her, for she knew nothing of its significance, and cared little to know at the moment. Bloodeye merely shrugged as Alten apologized for his action; such a trivial thing did not bother her, though it may have, had she known the damage his voice could have done. Flicking an ear toward him, though a little cautiously, she continud waiting in patience for his response, which seemed to come as slowly as he willed it.
The smallest of smirks slipped upon her brutish maw, amused, if just a little, by his choice of words. His use of the word 'Miss' made her feel like she was being spoken up to, and it felt quite familiar, though she had put most memories of dominance behind her. His answers were adequate and she nodded in acknowledgement. However, she was put on edge when he asked her to share something about herself. What could he possibly want to know that she would care to share with him? Bloodeye lifted her head, eyes narrowed and kept her maw firmly shut as she pondered about what she could tell him. Her secrets she would not reveal, and her heart was hers to keep and for no one to see. Beyond that, what you saw what was you got. Turning to him, she shook her head. "All I can tell you, Alten, is that I am very secretive," she said, turning her gaze from him again, "Perhaps in time you will know me on a deeper level, but few have achieved such, so don't hold your breath."
She doubted he would be so eager to learn about her, even if she hadn't told him otherwise. The quiet fatale graced him with another crimson-hued glance, wondering a little more about him, but not wishing to voice such curiousity. She realized she had contradicted herself by first stating that they should know each other, and then refusing to share herself with him, but she just felt she could not. She would absorb any information offered to her by another, keeping it tucked away for future reference, but she did not like for things to be the other way around. She sighed, shrugging to herself, before she became alerted to a rather peculiar sight. A large sheet of some type of metal dangled in the air, and from below she could see paws moving. Suddenly the barrier dropped and the wolf came forward rapidly on his own. Bloodeye's hackles stiffened and she rose to all fours, unnerved by the large brute's quick entrance. His eyes were fierce, sparking the small femme's defensive side, though there seemed a deeper air of calm within those same eyes. Unwilling to be caught off guard, Bloodeye remained readily poised. He seemed to mean no harm, however, and gave a short welcoming to the pair of them. She tipped her maw to him, nodding as he gave his name. Alten was the next to speak, and then the other femme, dubbed Dilivi. Before she could look to the femora, she noticed a mischevious look come upon Alten's face, and wondered what he was up to. "You gonna tell them your name, Princess ."His words forced a ripple of anger through her body, and her lip curled back with annoyance, revealing a rather deadly arsenal of weapons. Razor-like claws extended and cut through the snow, finding the earth below. "Princess?" she hissed, ears pressed forward firmly, "I don't appreciate that tone.. Don't fool around with me." With that said, all three tails crashed down upon the earth with tremendous force, leaving behind several hundred long, barbed quills. She knew he was joking just to get her angry, and she knew it was working, but she could do little to ignore or tolerate an obnoxious tone like that. She didn't enjoy jokes as much as the rest of the world might, and she wasn't about to let these creatures think she was a pushover. Her gaze snapped over to Roan, who clearly awaited a name from them all. Crimson orbs flashed dangerously before she took a calming breath and forced her name from her lips. "Call me Bloodeye," she said, silence overtaking her at last.[/blockquote]

Over looking all of this occurring, Roan couldn't help but chuckle a bit. Alten, while only joking had crossed a line with someone he hadn't know very well. A big no no in Roans book. Only get comfortable with someone new once you have determinedly analyzed them, you could wind up with your head cleanly off; or in this case a row of deadly and painful quills in your pelt. Roan himself would have thrashed at the male should he have made such a blistery comment toward him, joking or not, you only have that right once you know him. His gruff fur at the nape of his neck rose as he watched the quills shot from Bloodeye. He liked his skin, and while it wasn't soft and weak by any means, he would dread such pinpricks in his gullet. Roan's chuckle turned into a sneer at the two, his eyes again sharp and his fur still a bit risen. His tailed sway faster behind him, and his stance became tall and stiff, muscles tensing and rippling. He stood up abruptly once Bloodeye had said her dues and barked out in a rough light voice, "Now PUPS, that is no way to come looking for acceptance into a pack. You come HUMBLY, to pack members, and other Nomads a like... YOU," barley looking down to Alten with the black in his eyes turning a slight yellow, "When my alpha comes along, straighten yourself up, don't look so bored, and you dare not use such a snippy joking tone with him. Treat those around you here with respect unless they give you reason other wise, or you will not last long in a pack like this." His words were spat, but his intent was not that of dominating but rather tough advice. His gaze snapped over to Bloodeye, the yellow fades slightly along with his anger about the situation, but he was non the less as fierce as he was with Alten, "You. The Alphas here excluding one of their kin are harsh with their words. They can be demeaning and are not the kindest around. I know he, "Nodding to Alten, "Is no alpha of this land and deserves a defensive come back for that, but i hope you can take rash remarks and orders from superiors or you will be exiled or killed." He stepped back to get a view of them all, "A word of advice to all of you. This pack is as wild as it's winters, if you don't have the heart and will to tolerate it and sercome(sp?) to it's lifestyle, i suggest you find shelter with the neighboring, kinder packs... before the leathery Alpha Lucid, knows of you." He came into silence, awaiting feed back to the news he has delivered.... he didn't know Lucid himself, nor had ever met him, but he had heard stories from Crow... and Roan himself was almost nervous to meet him, but he would never show it. His spoke what he did to see if these other new comers would have the strength to overcome the probably disappointing news, but if they did, and proved to be okay with the circumstances, maybe they would be worthy. Though only time will tell.((Sorry about being gone for like a week! lol, my computer got so bugged up, but now its clean. good to go!))

"There’s a hole where my heart once was" DILIVI
”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry Sleep like a rock by the stream” ”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby I’ll be with you when you dream” xxxxx DILIVI made herself as small as possible, not wanting any ill attention faced towards her. It happened a lot. Things would be going so very well that she would let down her guard and they would wind up stepping all over her and leave her in the dust. So she built a concrete wall around her heart and she refused to tear it down. She couldn't help the indignant snort that came out of her muzzle as the large brute, Alten, made a comment that put the other fae on edge.
Such ignorance. Obviously he didn't know the pains of the world. He didn't know that out here, no one was your friend, you couldn't just go around giving nicknames to others and expect them to take them. Wolves had their pride, and a lot of that pride was attached to their names. Her eyes stared at him, a eerie shadow of pain floating in her oddly colored orbs as she seemed to look down upon the large brute. Such a stupid wolf.
As Roan spoke of the alphas and just how fearsome they were, DILIVI wondered if they would take her as a threat or a welcomed comrade. She very often tried to show a lot of submission, but mind you, this fae had once been the alphess to a very strong pack of misfits like herself. They had been wolves that others had rejected. So she had seen all sides of the spectrum of varg-status - from the lowest omega to the proudest alpha, she had been them all.
[/blockquote] "Lost is just a word for those who have nothing left" Alten
”We run in circles No direction do I see” ”The dust has blinded you The dust has blinded me” xxxxx Alten took the verbal battering and in response, he just stared at them, blinking slowly. Yes, the wolf in him felt like getting up and arms, possibly even scuffling with such young pups. Yet the laziness in him won over and he just let the words slide off of him like water on a duck. He didn't particularly like the way the odd female, DILIVI was staring down at him. As if she was older than him or knew more than him. She was obviously oblivious. It was painful, but he also let her looks slide off of his mind. "Are we done yet? Yes? Thank you." He commented, shaking his pelt roughly.
It wasn't that he disliked these wolves, it was more along the lines of he wanted acceptance faster so that he had a place to stay that night. It wouldn't be long before his powers caught up with him and drained all of his energy away. Hence the fact and reason why he was laying down on the cool snow. He didn't want to burn the energy of standing, or cooling his overheated body down. Ah, the pros and cons of having such a warm pelt.
"Excuse me for offending you, I just happened to think the endearing nickname suited one like yourself. No need to chew my head off for it." He murmured with a small yawn, the ground beneath him shaking slightly. "Now that we have got that settled, show us these Alpha's of yours, if you don't mind."

Roan raised a conscious brow to the male, his eyes flickering at the nonchalant attitude he displayed. But, he did apologize… It was very debatable whether it was sincere or whether he would man up to the alphas and pack, but Alten’s time would soon come. They would see then.
Roan stretched and flexed his thick forelegs, his oversized talons digging in and out of the frozen ground leaving deep groves in the cement like soil. His jaw hung open while eyes fixed themselves up and down on Alten, his forked tongue hung out slightly curled not tasting but rather lolling, “I don’t know where they are right now,” His poise returned to stiff but calm, along with his light raspy voice. He really hadn’t known where Crow had run off to, probably his pre-alpha duties or family matters…. Though if he had been running around fulfilling his duties, he would have shown by now with so many… new comers by now. Roan thought to himself hesitantly, then his jaws parted again, “And I dare not bring you to the dens should I want my pelt nailed to the wall, so you wait. I commend that it won’t take long though, they are pretty tight on security.” He looked from Alten to Bloodeye, then to Dilivi, giving Dilivi a rare, calm, heartfelt look, as if to almost say sorry for the interruption.
He then returned looks to the other two, a smirk glazing his black lips enhancing the viewing size of his k-9’s, “In the mean time, tell me about yourselves. Get to know your potential pack mates, and most importantly, prove to me you are not a member from the rival packs.”
He took a step back and gracefully plopped to his belly, folding his front two legs like he had nothing but time. “After all, what’s the hurry?”

Bloodeye looked to Roan as he began to speak, and she had to roll her eyes. Did she really need to be spoken down to like this? It was tempting to just lash her tails across his face so he would shut up, or at least do something other than talk, but she held herself in check and merely dug her claws into the earth. He must have thought quite lowly of them to have to lecture them all like they were a bunch of whelps. At last he had finished speaking, and she merely shrugged, unimpressed. "I can handle myself, thank you," she muttered coldly, "And if the Alphas of this land cannot, then they are unworthy of such a title. I will let my own judgement decide what level of respect they recieve from me." Her jaws snapped shut as she finished speaking, and she glowered menacingly at him, annoyed that he had chosen to speak to her the way he had, but unwilling to take it further.
The Alten spoke, and she glanced to him, her stare expressionless at first, though a small glimmer of amusement entered her eyes by the end. She shook her head, sighing. "Hmph, well, I've never taken to nicknames before," she said, her voice a lot smoother and calmer than it had been only moments earlier, "But I suppose if you feel it is necessary to call me something other than my name, I can try to get used to it."
She was not so sure how she felt about it, and she was still convinced that he had been using the term quite sarcastically, but she decided it was not a big deal right now. He was just too calm to stay angry with, and perhaps she shouldn't take him so seriously from now on. Her ears flicked back as he yawned; he needed to be more courteous about that, that was for sure. Taking control of her temper, she looked back to Roan, who had comfortably situated himself upon the ground, obviously feeling that there was nothing to fear. Following suit, Bloodeye allowed herself to slide down into a more comfortable position propped upon on her elbow. If she was lucky, these wolves were not out to get her, and she could finally put a little trust into others, despite a bumpy start. They could work through it. She just needed to control herself, and her devilish temper. Again the request came for more information about herself, and she felt unwilling to share. However, she knew she could not remain silent, especially when he asked them to prove they were not rivals. "Honestly, this is my first time in these lands," she stated, "I can't say I've ever heard of any of the other packs, not even this one. I only thought I'd give it a shot, since I'm here anyways."[/blockquote]

"There’s a hole where my heart once was" DILIVI
”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry Sleep like a rock by the stream” ”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby I’ll be with you when you dream” xxxxx DILIVI found herself watching the interactions with intrest beyond the norm for herself. Roan seemed to be a sensible wolf who wanted to avoid the confrontation, but at the same time, he was no weakling to be shoved around. She had known that much as he had helped her push through the snow and how he hadn't chased her away in fear, but rather looked just as odd as herself.
Bloodeye was a bit more... agitated? Was that the word to describe her. To DILIVI, Bloodeye reminded her of herself when she lost her pups, her best friend, and her pack all in one evening. The hurt tended to make her crazy and snappish. She had harmed her fair share of wolves as she tried to work through the pain. It wasn't easy, but the hurt eventually goes away and you begin to realize that you're no longer the top dog. For DILIVI, the realization had come too late as she had attacked and killed another's pup without warning. She knew how much it hurt to see her own pups killed, and seeing the pain in the other varg's eyes had cut DILIVI to the core. It was a well need, but terrible wake up call for the nightmarish wolf. She could only wish, that if Bloodeye was going through a similar loss, that she didn't have to cause such pain to get over her own.
And then Alten- he seemed to be the instigator, willing or not, to the tense atmosphere that had settled around them. Yet he seemed completely at ease as he yawned and stretched out. He didn't seem to realize that if he said the wrong thing, any right minded varg would have snapped at him like Bloodeye did. In DILIVI's eye, the brute had deserved the tongue lashing that Bloodeye had given him.
DILIVI caught Roan's eye as he gave her a meaningful look and she snapped her head to the side, unwilling to look back. It had been a long while since any wolf had given her any sort of treatment besides hatred or fear. And the last brute to give her any notice at all had been her previous mate. But alas, he had abandoned her after seeing the horrors that were his pups. One looked sicker than death, one had saliva that eroded everything, and the last was missing chunks of flesh and yet still wagged his tail happily. Death. Acid. Decay. She refused to admit just how happy the small acceptance from this male had made her.
ooc;; Couldn't do anything with Alten 'cause he's a lazy bum who just lays there... sorry about that[/blockquote]

Roan huffed a slight ‘ha’ to Bloodeyes first remark about the alphas. Perhaps she was worthy of such a title as princess due solely to that remark. She didn’t have to say that, instead she could have just nodded and kept her almost rude comment to herself. What was she trying to prove here at the face of one of the packs loyal members? Conflict was not needed here and was something Roan didn’t want to provoke with useless defense. In a tone to match her own with a glimmer of humor in his eyes he spoke back, “You will see, Bloodeye.” Then the she wolf turned her anger into a sort of humored amusement about her nickname. Was this wolf bi-polar? Roan just kept chuckling in his head at her turn of attitude, but kept a stiff erect poise on the ground, a smile on his face mimicked the amused laugh in his head. She was giving a grave first impression of defense, yet at the same time she was trying to ease herself, Roan gave her credit for that. Her rough actions were probably tied to her past, as most sour wolves’ were; their actions of sudden defense and offence typically tied to not wanting the same pain they have had in the past. He felt for her. Even though his thoughts of her were almost demeaning, Roan couldn’t help but look over her with a sort of sympathy and attraction. She was a brutish built female, but her pelt and horns, along with her ‘mess with me and you’ll regret it’ attitude, Roan couldn’t help his liking of her. He liked a strong, independent female, but this one seemed to have baggage behind her demeanor. Well, they usually do, but her actions seem to be the reason behind it. He had a tough motion of wanting to help her. “Where are you from to where you have never heard of the land of Aelyn?” He didn’t want the long drudging stories of everyone’s past, but rather a brief explanation of where they were from and why they came here. By their answers he could easily decipher is they were lying or not. He was no mind reader, but by their tone of voice and time it took to search for words would be enough for him. He took notice to Dilivi’s shy-away, but disregarded it as something he would ask of her later. He figured it tied into her past, or her looks, or even both. Either way, Roan wanted to get to know her, she was very interesting to him. She had probably been through more torment and had been more disregarded than Roan had ever been, and he wanted to know what she had been through, he understood to a certain degree. For the moment, Roan had completely over looked Alten, who calmly stayed to the side-lines of the conversation. He would come to him later.
