Haven watched the young pup as she watched him even closer. He had to admit that he felt a little intimidated by the pup. Why? He couldn't tell in the least. He licked his maw and glanced at Masina, "I'm looking for a wolf that goes by Masina. I can not tell you why, merely because I do not know myself." He lowered his head, a feeling quite like nerves fluttered in his stomach. The name kept replaying in his mind like a broken record... it had to mean something, hadn't it?
Haven's deep red eyes caught site of the pup staring at him again. And then she said it. Darker power. He wasn't dark at all. In fact he was the nicest wolf in his pack... or rather, his old pack. Maybe it had to do with Lucidity. Wait, did he just call his father by his full name? That was odd... He cocked one of his brows and lowered himself to the ground. His crimson eyes met the pup's as he made it to her level. "Young one, what is this darker sense that you feel?" His eyes softened as he watched her. He had the need to know more, learn more about himself. Did he really have a darker side?

Celestia continued to peer cautiously toward this new wolf, attempting to penetrate his mind without him knowing---a power she did not realize that she had. Part of her began to wonder if she had any other powers lurking within her innocent body. There was still so much she was unsure about and the key to her answers were deep within the images in her mind.
I'm not entirely sure about this darkness I feel...I'm assuming you can understand telepathic communication since you know what I was thinking.[/b] Celestia commented, knowing that she'd be able to read an emotive response, signaling that Haven understood her.

Masina listened as the yearling spoke. So, he was looking for Masina... for her... what for? Was it Lucid? Did he know that she was still alive? Or was there something else on the agenda? What should she say? What should she do? She wasn't sure how things would end up and her heart raced slightly at the very thoughts that crossed her mind. She held her outward composure rather well, all things considered, however...
Masina smiled at the brute before her and replied to his question with a question of her own. "Why are you looking for this wolf, Masina?" [/color] She questioned this as she looked at him with her icy blue eyes. She held her wings folded gently to her sides as she continued to ponder and work hard to keep her composure. She hoped for the best in this situation, she really did, but she couldn't help but feel that impending doom that she felt at the very thought that this wolf was connected to Lucid somehow and that Lucid might have known her whereabouts and that she was still alive.[/blockquote]

Celestia's stare continued to pierce Haven's mind---and part of her still remained skeptical about this individual. She could not deny the memories surging through her mind each second. Images reminding every fiber of her being that evil lurked near on the horizon.
Even as she pondered, Celestia could feel a strange feeling deep within her body. A sort of tickling pain that seemed to grow slowly; granted she could not figure out what this exact sensation was. The greater amount of this emotion seemed to be in her wing muscles. Celestia felt as though she was growing.
Masina dear...I think we need to get out of here. I am still receiving a bad vibe from this wolf...he himself may not be evil, but he is connected to a greater evil that I dare not utter here.[/i] Celestia whispered telepathically as she glanced up at the golden winged wolf standing next to her confidently.

Haven swallowed some of his nerves. The small pup before him seemed so much older than she was.... And the fact that he had heard her thoughts... Was he no longer in control of his ability? Or was it just something that happened at the time. "Yes, littlie, I'm telepathic. Though, I don't know why I heard your's without trying.... Maybe I was just a little off at the moment." He offered her a smile before his crimson eyes slowly moved toward the white wolf as she spoke to him. He wasn't exactly sure as to what to say to her, but he muttered softly, "This... Masina... I keep hearing her name in my head... It's mainly when I'm around my father.. Lucid.. that I hear it. Especially when everyone is sleeping. She knows something, I think. And I have a feeling that if I find her I may get some answers. Can you help me?" He glanced back down at the pup again and grinned softly.
Haven cocked his large head to the side softly and licked his maw as he thought about the situation. There was slight relief when the pup looked away from him and toward the femme. He felt as though the young pup looked down upon him, which was understandable seeing as he knew she knew so much more than she was letting on. The pup was bright and had more to her than she herself knew, he was sure of. His cocked ear flapped as he shook his head and stood up. He stretched and stood to his full height while looking at the white wolf. "Is there anything I can be of assitance with? I feel like an intruder and would like to offer any help that may be needed as a payment." His crimson eyes softened as well as his soft white wings falling slightly at his side. He stood tall, dominating, but he had the aura of a puppy in need.

Masina was so conflicted with her emotions as the pup before her spoke. He was so kind and friendly, so why was she so antsy? She knew he was the spawn of her brother, perhaps it was because she knew what her brother was capable of that she felt so weary of the pup. She pondered for a moment before speaking.
"You say your father is Lucid. What do you know of his past? And to further my questions, not to sound rude and not answer yours, but I need to know and figure out a few things before I can divulge any information to you, if you don't mind. Do you have any loyalties to him or intentions of repeating anything I say to you to him or even returning to his packlands? These are all important questions that I need answered before I can help you." [/b] She smiled kindly, hiding the best she could, which was generally rather well, her fear and intimidation whenever the name of her brother was said. She looked to Celestia and replied telepathically. I don't know what we have to fear with him... let me see if I can get these questions answered before I decide what to do.... maybe it's not so bad. She flicked her tail and turned her icy blue gaze back toward Haven.[/blockquote]

Celestia nodded silently as she turned her eyes back toward Haven cautiously, yet with a small ounce of trust in her eyes at the same time.
So...Lucidity has children now...I don't know whether I should pity them or despise them...[/i] Celestia muttered telepathically, making sure that Haven could not hear her thoughts this time. The young pup felt it important to establish her potent distrust and disgust with anything pertaining to Lucid. Granted she did know that despite Masina's relation to Lucid---she was nothing like him. That could also apply to some of his children as well.
We can get answers from him; however, keep your guard up. You know Lucid as well as I do---he has odd yet effective ways of making his point or obtaining information.[/i] Celestia noted wisely as she took a deep breath and continued to focus on the pain in her wings.

Haven lowered his head as the female wolf before him spoke. His cocked ear twitched as he listened to everything that she said, noting it all. He nodded his head as she finished. She had every right to question him. He was, after all, Lucid's son. What else could he expect? He raised his head and spoke clearly and softly. "I have no knowledge of my father's past. Nor my mother's. I know nothing sadly. You have every right to question me. Please do not fret about my loyalties toward my last pack. I was never close to my parents or siblings. I may be Lucid's son, but I am loyal and trustworthy. I promise you that anything said to me will never leave this pack's lands. I have no intentions on returning to the mountains. I did not belong there. Nor will I ever." Haven held back his emotions quickly, swallowing his sadness like water. "I know it may take awhile for you to trust me. I wouldn't trust me either, if I were in your situation. All I ask is for a bit of time and understanding. Once you see my loyalty, you'll understand,-" Haven's voice softened, but stayed just as clear as before, "I... I am nothing like Lucidity."
He glanced down at the small pup next to the white femme. She was quiet... or merely masking her thoughts from him.. which was understandable. Haven smiled softly at her and nodded his large head once. "I feel you don't trust me. And I'm sure it's because of my father. Please, just give me the chance to prove myself."

Masina paused and allowed her heart to tell her what to believe. She had grown oddly at ease as she looked this young wolf over, noting his posture and his outward emotive appearance. She wasn't sure why, but she felt the need to believe him. She smiled at him genuinely for the first time since their encounter and spoke.
"You have no reason to prove yourself. I will answer your questions. I am Masina... and Lucid is my brother." [/b] She hated saying his name for the fear that he still sent through her body. She held her appearance, however, for the brute before her to speak and react to the fact that they were kin... related. She gazed at what would be her nephew and noticed slight features in him that she remembered of her parents and it made her heart flutter with joy. She loved her parents and missed them dearly.[/blockquote]

Celestia inhaled deeply as more images of Lucid’s lumbering form slid through her mind swiftly. She’d never forget the terror and utter agony he wrought in whatever life there was before the one she was living. While Celestia did not want to worry and distrust Haven, she was well aware that in the previous life, Lucidity had no offspring---at least none that had survived.
I never said I wouldn’t give you the chance to prove yourself, Haven. Celestia referred to him by his name in hopes of assuring the wolf that she didn’t completely distrust him. As you know though, that trust must be earned first. If you claim to not be affiliated with any of Lucidity’s practices, then you have nothing to fear from us.
Celestia nodded as a smile formed across her maw, a child-like grin that seemed to defy the wisdom contained within her mind. Even though Celestia did feel a bit at ease, she could not help but to worry about something---a situation pertaining nothing to Lucidity. Something of completely different proportions.
I don’t know if Lucid is the demon we should be worried about, at least not worry about him entirely. There are other evils thriving within this land of Aelyn---I can sense them. Celestia glanced up at Masina with a foreboding stare, knowing that she was right about her intuition.
As Celestia deterred from her thought she cringed and clutched her body with her wings that had miraculously continued to grow. It seemed as though the pain in her body was gradually increasing. The young pup didn’t know whether or not she was supposed to grow this quickly, or if something was literally wrong with her.

Haven's mouth dropped open as soon as the white wolf before him said that she was Masina and that his father was her brother. He wanted so bad to look her in the eyes, but couldn't manage it. He shook his large head softly, "You-you're my aunt.... How can you be related to something so-so mean?" He raised his head, but still glanced at the ground. He cleared his throat and finally allowed his crimson eyes to fall upon her blue ones. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Masina. If your pack could use another wolf, I would love to join and help around here." He offered her a soft smile.
So he really did have other family other than his parents and siblings. Why hadn't Lucid said anything about her? Maybe they weren't on good talking terms... then again, they seemed like polar opposites. As Haven's thoughts played ring around the rosie in his head he glanced down at the pup who was talking to him again. She seemed friendly enough, and it was obvious that she was willing to give him the chance. Haven smiled at her, but quickly frowned as he watched her cringe in what could only be pain. Instinctively, he ran to her side and knelt down, hoping that all was well. "What is it, Littlun? Have you eaten recently?" He glanced up at Masina and spoke softly, "I think we should get her to a cave.... Away from any potential danger." His face fell into a look of deep thought as he looked between the two females he was currently with.

Masina smiled at the pup. Sure, he was the son of Lucid, but he seemed so much different than her notorious brother. She nodded to him and smiled as he offered to join the pack and help out. Wow, what would Lucid think of that!
"Sure, I would enjoy you joining the pack. It'll be nice to have my Nephew as a part of these lands... and I'm always welcoming new company." [/b] She smiled and nodded gently to her newfound family. She was quite fond of him already, but that could partially be due to the fact he was so young and that she had found out that she did now have family alive other than her brother Lucid.. she had the next generation of her family to look forward to. At the mention of Danger, Masina's hackles stood on end slightly. Her brother was the biggest danger she knew of, but she also knew there were other dangers out there... like the monster that brought death wherever it walked. Masina had only encountered it once and had never seen it since, but she wasn't going to allow herself to get too comfortable with the fact that he is probably still out there somewhere. "We can go to the den area... it'll be much cooler and safer there."[/b] She smiled and slowly stood, ready to head toward the waterfalls.[/blockquote]
