Lucid watched as Nynx went to greet the femora. He caught sight of the female, her dark pelt nearly challenging his in it's dark color. He flicked his three massive tails and looked at her with a questioning glance. He waited for Nynx to do what she was asked and waited patiently for the response.
"Come here. Why do you tread my lands and what sort of creature was that that you had approach here? Explain yourself. Now." [/b] He glared down at her and flicked his tails once more. He wondered why such a creature would come from her mind and if she was all right in the head. Lucid flicked his tails once more and waited. He found things weren't going all that quickly here, but he was going to make sure that his pack stayed safe and out of harms way... no matter what it took.[/blockquote] ((Minor muse blockage T_T))

She looked up at the female wolf, the smitten one from where she lay. "Oddity is a matter of perception," Her voice suddenly switched from before, it was cold, cool, and dangerous, "Your in love with a killer, and the subordinate to a monster. You seem the odd one, you seem the mad one," Her ear twitched and she shook her head, "Hi!" She yipped excitedly, now cheerful and down right giddy in her demeanor. She popped up onto her feet and gave an excited hop, "I'm Harlequin! Who are you?" She said, almost singing as she did.
She twitched when she heard the monsters distant command. She moved to the side, looking past the smitten wolf. Her smile faded, and her head lowered a little in respect. She wanted to respond, to explain herself and beg not to be slaughtered by this, this thing, this living nightmare this wolf was. Her eyes studied him, then the killer next to him. The little one was nothing, just a killer, his fur covered in blood that would never really wipe away, blood that her so special eyes could see.
She shook her head, she was letting her mind wander again now wasn't she? "Bad girl, no good no good," She muttered, shaking her head vigorously. She took a few steps down, past the smitten one toward him. But she stopped, her eyes shifting from him to something much closer. Her eyes widened, and a small thin grin cracked her face. She turned back to the smitten wolf, her eyes wide with a wash of fear and concern, "I am sorry miss, but your going to have to run for your life now," Her head threw back and she screamed, "RUN!" Her voice boomed, echoing down to the wolves below, and to the nightmare who flickered into existence.
It was an abomination. The bear stepped out from behind the rock, a blood curdling roar escaping his massive mouth. He was huge, larger than any beast that hunted the woods. It's fur was brown and sickly, looking as if it had been simply stretched over a creature too large for it. As if, beneath the bear, something worse hid. It turned to Lucid, its eyes gone, in their place swam a sea of endless maggots. To look at it was to stare at madness. Everything about it was wrong, its scent, its sound, everything was too alien, too dark. It roared again, and choosing the two females as a more appealing target, it charged. It was closer to them than Lucid was, and moving so very fast.

Nynx would not tolerate, such insult from a loner. Her hackles raised, she glared at the bitch. She would keep still. Lucid order her to not to kill the bitch. She glanced over to see Wynter tapping his claws. 'Wynter... What's wrong?' Nynx asked though her mind. Was this new bitch right? Nynx shook her head, Wynter could control his curse.
Nynx smelled someone else. Another brute. "Lucid. I smelled another wolf. A brute" Nynx lashed her tail. The last thing the pack needed at the moment was another brute. Nynx looked over to the east end of the clearing, she saw a tawny colored brute. He had a couple of bird flying about his head. "You may leave, black crows." The tawny colored brute watched the birds fly off. He looked at the three wolves. "Goodday, Lord's and ladies. I am Zagurus. Son of Xaneric and River. I apolgize for walking on your land." Zagurus glanced over to look at Lucid. Nynx narrowed her eyes, saw nothing wrong with him. However, she's been wrong before.

Something was wrong. Very wrong, and Mira could sence it. The pups were out fooling around, and mothers instinct knew they were alright. The only other person she would be worried about was Lucid. He did burst out of the cave rather quickly and he didn't even bother to say what was going on.... She was alphess so she had a right didn't she?
Mira bolted out of the cave and ran in the direction she thought Lucid had gone. Lucid, where are you?! Her tiny figure swerved between trees with ease. She lowered her head, flattening herself closer to the ground, making her go faster. Her ears flattened to her skull. Something isn't right. Lucidity's in danger. This thought made her go even faster.
The wind flew past her in waves of anxiety. Mira could smell him now. His scent was strong which meant he was close. She caught the scent of Nynx, And other's? Were they really going to accept any more wolves into the pack after having three new pups. A small dry bush caught flame. So her hormones weren't exactly back on track yet. Her tail turned a deep blue, as though it were close to igniting.
At the sound of a loud snarl Mira sped up even more. She may have just had puppies, but she was as quick as ever. Mira came up behind something large and fury. A bear? She flattened herself as close to the ground as she could. With a little effort, she found herself behind a boulder and to the side of the bear. She peered around the boulder and her light blue eyes caught sight of Lucid. The bear seemed to be headed right for him. Mira jumped to the top of the boulder and shrieked, "Lucid! Move!" Everything around Mira began to flood. Water seemed to shoot from her paws like they were large waterfalls. She was utterly scared.

Wynter's cold blue eyes stayed set on Lucid.
His place in this pack meant the world to him. Yet he felt sick. He could almost taste the fear in his own scent, and he had no idea why. Why was he so terrified? He was in the pack! He would be fine. He wasn't hungry, he wouldn't eat the pups... He wouldn't hurt Nynx or Lucid or any of the pack! He couldn't...
His claws dug the ground. He doubted that his own fearscent was actually there, he was being worried in his mind. He was staying perfectly still, perfectly perfect. He looked proud and strong and glad... Yet... His night-sky eyes flickered to his love, the light making his eyes sparkle like little stars existed inside of them. She said something. Lucid... Brute... His mind flinched, and a shudder went through his body.
The crazy black one. There was a fae, she seemed insane... His eyes burned looking at her. He had the distinct feeling that this femme knew too much. His heart pounded loudly against his body, making his ears ring. Why... Why was he... It was this fae, wasn't it!
His ears twitched, and the scent of a rotting, huge, dead thing brushed his nose. His face screwed up, and another wolf came into the area. He stood up, and his hackles raised, his whole mind racing. The wolf there seemed normal, innocent. But the new, black wolf and her howl ran through his mind. She knew something. She knew about him, maybe? She knew... What was that smell.. And who was this Zagurus?
A female's voice rang through his ears, adn his head swung around to the boulder and the bear and Lucid and the new fae. He felt his breath escape from his lungs, as a wave of water rushed from the femme, who seemed terrified for Lucid- and the bear... Guadians, what the hell was that abomination?! "...Nyn..ynx..." He whined, stepping back, and his blue eyes ran past Lucid, to his love and the fae who terrified him, and that new wolf, the wolf who had come with the birds.
His jaw shut tight, as he waited for the bear and Lucid to collide... He wasn't sure what would happen if Lucid got hurt. He knew he couldn't hurt his packmembers... But those two there weren't packmembers... The fae... She was not to be hurt. The tawny male... NO! His eyes raced back to Lucid, and he tensed, unsure where his next movement would bring him.

Lucid growled, watching the flurry of events in a rush. There was this femora, who seemed to conjure abominations of nightmares, his newest omega, whom seemed to be cowering in fear of something other than Lucid himself, this new brute, whom brought birds of sorts with him... Mira, his alphess had burst from nowhere and warned him for the next abomination that the new femora had created. He had one thing in mind... this femora who had the abominations from her mind would not be joining his pack. She seemed to be unable to control her abominations and Lucid would not have that within his packlands.
He looked quickly to the bear and growled. He stood nearly as tall as it did with his enormous size, and he prepared himself in a fighting stance. He opened his maw and let loose a large burst of fire, much like a flamethrower and a dragon, and let it loose toward the attacking abomination. He hoped that his attacks would hurt or at least allow them to be rid of the abominations she created, but if not, he would have to figure out a way to protect his pack from these horrible manifestations.
He began to wonder to himself if these things were even harmful. When he attacked them, it seemed that they just disappeared and left no remnants, which made Lucid wonder if they would even do any harm to him or his packmates. If not, she would make a good addition, if only she could control her power. She could cause terrifying distractions to other wolves and packs in his attempt to take over all of Aelyn. Then again, if they did attack others and hurt them, he would make sure she knew how to control them, because he would not have anything near his family or his pack that might bring harm to his growing numbers and army.
He growled deeply as he continued to shoot his flame toward the bear in an attempt to hinder it's attack or make it dissipate, much like the spidermouse that had shown up earlier. This bear was repulsive to his eyes and made him more than angry, beyond what he was before even.

"No no no," Harlequin muttered, her eyes closed tight for a moment. This was no good, no good at all. The shadows, they didn't like the wolves, she was their property, their prey. These wolves, they offered a basic comfort, a possibility of healing that these abominations simply could not allow. "Not again," She whispered.
A wolf with brown fur sobbed in her memory, cursing her as he fled from a wash of his worst fears. The bear was coming for him, so he smacked his head into a rock. Again and again he slammed it down, his blood splattering against the gray stone. There was a sick cracking noise, and yet he continued until he couldn't move anymore. She had stood above him, for a moment, for an eternity, swirling darkness around her, snickering and buzzing like flies larger than worlds.
The bear would not stop, closer and closer, the flames simply passing through it. It was like a ghost, figment who refused to drop the act. He smelled real, looked real, sounded real. The only fault in the illusion was the lack of form. It ran towards Lucid, and behind it, ran Harlequin. She howled, and the bear gave pause, turning to look at her. it roared, almost sounding annoyed by her interruption. It turned and ran at her instead. No, she was not going to let them have these wolves, not even the monster. She growled and it leapt at her. She lashed out with fangs bared, and in a flash, it was gone, evaporated to the winds.
She stood for a moment, bewildered. She had never done that before. Years they had haunted her, hunted her, and never had she fought one. It was an odd feeling, she was not sure if she liked it. She shook her head, her ear twitching, "Odd, big scary bear, scary scary buddy bear," She cackled for a moment, seemingly lost in her own little world. She shook her head vigerously, looking up and seeming to realize for the first time that she was only a few feet from the two other wolves. Behind her she could still smell the smitten wolf and the new brute, and before her, she smelled the darkness. So unlike the evils she lived with every day.
She lowered her head, scared out of her mind for a moment. Its funny, an undead nightmare of a bear, no problem. But this wolf, this creature, he was something to be really feared. Something that legends would be written of, something that would scare pups for years to come. "S-sorry," She said quietly, a small moment of clarity coming through. "They don't like you much," She said to the monster, looking over to the female who she could only assume was his mate, and then to the murderer. She glared at him a little, narrowing her eyes. She didn't like him, sure, the large one was a killer just like him, but at least the monster wasn't a coward like this one.

Zagurus eyed the new wolves. He lowered his tail, when he saw Lucid and Nynx. He looked into the sky. The two Raven's still flew above him. He pawed the ground and summoned the birds back down. Zagurus's hackles raised, as the bird's landed on his back. Zagurus knew he was unwelcome here. He was a Pilgrim. Zagurus was trying to find his way to the sacred Circle. He had done crimes, that even the gods shunned him. The only animal, that loved him, was the birds. He closed her eyes and pictured the sacred circle. It was far south from the mountains, he was going the wrong way. Zagurus opened his amber eyes, he saw the black and green she-wolf staring at him.
Nynx clawed at the ground, this was to much. The pack was exploding with new members. She would have to step up her aggression. She glanced over to look at Lucid. The dark Alpha male seemed to be focused on something else. She turned around to look at Zagurus. He seemed normal enough. She glanced at the raven's. She could talk to the birds, she had the curse of The sight.

What was this? Rush Week for the packs? Mira jumped down from the boulder with ease and landed in a crouch next to Lucid. Whatever the hell that big fury thing was, if came any where near her family again, hell would break loose. Either she would drown the damn thing or burn, either or, it would die. She let her bright white teeth show under her curling lips. Her bright blue eyes scanned every wolf around her. The only other femme besides herself and Nynx seemed slightly out of her mind. Needless to say, it was slightly concerning for her present state. The so-called Zagurus didn't seem like he had anything to worry about. Except for maybe the birds. It could be the fact that Mira never had wings, but she greatly disliked birds. And as for the bloodied wolf next to Nynx... well, Mira wasn't all to sure of him yet.
Mira stood up tall... as tall as she could get anyway... yes, she was still the smallest and she was greatly regreting it now. Needless, she held herself well next to Lucid. With a soft sigh, she spoke, "What, was that thing?" She knew that it was likely to be a stupid question, but at the moment, she didn't care. She didn't want anything of it's kind near her or anyone she loved.

Another burst of flame and fire. Wynter could taste blood in his mouth, smell it already. It made his pelt prickle and shiver with terrible desire. His claws dug into the earth as he clung to fight it. The other wolves. The non-pack members. His blue eyes were locked on the burning fire, and he bit back a yowl as the bear pushed through the fire like nothing, ready to destroy Lucid...
The she-wolf loner. She spoke. His eyes tore to her, seething, his breathing uneven. It wasn't fair! He had eatten today... Yet normally, he never was around wolves who weren't on high alert... And blood wasn't about to be split unless he needed it too... His muscles contracted, and a paw lifted from the ground. His nostrils flared, excitingly waiting for the rush of blood. He couldn't hurt Lucid... But he could eat! He could eat well! But then she leaped forward, and his mind came back to the scene of the bear. She was attacking the blood bringer! His lips pulled back in a thirsty snarl. How dare... How dare she?! The monster faded out, and his heart rose high, excitingly telling him he didn't have to eat! He could be a good wolf for his darling Nynx!
But... His mind spun. Spun like a thread around a wheel, around and around, growing in layers, and his head turned away from Lucid, the she-wolf loner, and the flood bringing one. Aha, the one with the birds! He was so far from the others, no way he could hurt them! He could kill this bird bringing loner... Some birds could be threats to the pack, right? Perhaps... It made sense in his mind. His paw crashed into the dirt, and he moved forward. His pelt prickled, he felt as if everyone had stopped watching him... He felt like a shadow... He would... No one would even know...
The flood-bringer, and perhaps mate of Lucid said something, making his ears twitch in rage. Distractions. What if he never got to eat wolf again? The wolf with the birds... He could make the most of it... He hadn't properly eaten that pretty little pup... He made his paws and muzzle clean enough to not be noticed as a killer in an instant... He tried hiding himself... Of course, Nynx didn't mind the truth. And Lucid was focused on other things... No one was watching him... Nynx loved him too much to care... Or, so he believed.
However, Wynter wasn't a fool. His posture changed, more greeting, more friendly, as he trotted up to the other wolf. His ears flicked up, and a grin went across his face. Not cunning or planning, sweet, and friendly. He made not a sound, he did not want anyone looking to him, but he nodded in his own greeting, waiting for the perfect chance to lash out. No one was looking...

Lucid growled as the thing dissipated. Granted, the power would be useful if she could control it and it seemed, almost, as if she could at that moment, but he was still wary of it for the sake of his pups. He couldn't have his heirs be slaughtered... there was no way! He would protect them... raise them in his image so they too, could take over his ideals and his legacy when he moved on to Paradise.
He growled deeply as he turned slightly to Mira. "I have no idea." That's all he said about that to her. He then turned his attention to the new brute who had showed up. He barked in his direction, ordering him to approach.
"You, Zagurus! Get over here. Why do you tread my lands? What brings you to the mountains? Speak!" [/b] He was already angry as it was, but having all of the events occurring as they had, he was even more angry than before. He continued to growl, his anger showing through and his authority standing taller. He saw movement from the corner of his eye, though he could have had his eyes fully on the brute and the brute wouldn't have known. "Don't you move another muscle."[/b] Lucid ordered him as he growled deeply at the brute, shooting a fireball into his path to shock him and stop him. He was getting angrier by the minute and soon there would be bloodshed if things continued as they were.[/blockquote] ((Sorry for the crappy post... slight writers block.. ))

The black wolf stood a respectable distance away from all the other wolves. After all she had enough sense left in her skull to know that packs were often dangerous to outsiders, especially with a monster as their alpha. Her glazed eyes looked at them each in turn. She saw much, for instance she could see the anger building in the monster. She doubted he was an idiot, but every one has their limit, and she suspected if just one more distraction was added to this stressed mix then he would snap, and someone would die. She suspected he also had fresh pups born, his female smelled of them. She tilted her head, looking between them for a moment more. Odd couple, she decided, for one the female was small in comparison, weak even. She corrected her thought, shaking her head vigerously, "Dangerous, she must be dangerous, me watches her me thinks,". After all, there had to be some reason the monster respected her.
"Look closely children, everyone watch. The murderer, he moves for the bird. He hungers me thinks. Me thinks he is mad," She giggled, her eyes locked on Lucid before slowly drifting off to space. "He must be so very hungry, poor little wolf." She looked to the murderer in his madness. For a moment, she thought he looked familiar, like a wolf she had known long ago. A wolf she had born pups with, a wolf she had driven mad. She smiled, tilting her head, "Hello dear, we missed you," She shook her head, her ear twitching furiously. She had to keep her senses about her she did. Had to be sharp, too dangerous a situation a lose it now.
She weighed her options. If she stayed there was a good chance she would be the target of the monsters soon to be encountered breaking point. She could run, but, no, must not do that. She was around wolves again, they were always better than nightmares. She doubted she could bring herself to stop following them, she suspected she only would if they killed her. She could try to ask her shadows to help, but she doubted they would listen, they so seldom did. She laughed a little, reflecting on the moment of madness that had granted her enough blind courage to confront the bear. If she had a little more thought in her head she might have made a personal discovery from that, but instead, she was just left confused.

Zagurus stopped dead in his tracks. He lowered his head and tail. He glanced at the two raven's flying above his head. He closed eyes and told them to go away. Zagurus decided to lay down and show his stomach to the brute. Zagurus was not a threat to him, he was not even looking to join his pack. "Lord Lucid was it? I have no wish to join your pack. I am simply making my way to the sacred circle. I am a pilgrim." Zagurus stood back up and back away a little. He wanted to get out of here, he was unwelcome. Zagurus tilted his head and looked at Nynx. "Be careful, Lady Nynx. Your mate, Wynter has a dark past. I can tell..." Zagurus trailed off.
Nynx looked at Wynter, she pressed close to his pelt. She pulled away quickly. Something was wrong with him. "Wynter..? Nynx backed away from him. She looked around for Zagurus. He was gone. "Lucid, do you want Zagurus back? I'll go get him" She offered. Her mind was racing a thousands ways.

No one would see him. That's what he thought... but there were too many eyes. However, he didn't stop when Lucid told him to- he didn't stop when the fire blazed in front of him, he didn't stop when the crazy, knowing she-wolf woofed. And when Zagarus dropped to the ground and rolled to his back, he charged, he leapt, he sprang. He bit down on the brute's throat, blood filling the holes in the wound. His nose flared.
And then Nynx was against his pelt, and his mind was reeling back. The fire roared in front of him, his prey behind the fire- nay, he was gone. Wynter's paws curled on the ground, digging his claws into the dirt.
Wynter.
Her heavenly voice, so sweet, so perfect. It should be his. He glanced at her, his ears flicking, not knowing of the rage that shone in his sharp blue eyes. He blinked, as she bulled away, and looked away- she barked at Lucid... The one who he had to obey to be with Nynx. His heart sank, and he sat down half-heartedly, ignoring the fact that Lucid had told him not to move a muscle. To him- it was all in his mind. It was probably just the nightmare-fae's doing. Everyone... Everyone seemed to think he was a bad wolf.
The crazy, strange femme somehow knew what he was. The brute who had retreated- his prey... he had warned Nynx. Even she moved away from him, dispite the fact she told him nothing would... no, no he had too high of expetations.
His paws were stained with the scent of blood, no matter how well he cleaned it. He probably reeked of the pain and suffering of other wolves. His ears flattened against his head, as he fought with the demons in his mind. He wasn't hungry, but he was so used to killing whatever wolf he could whenever he could. How much did Lucid know or guess already? He would throw him out if he knew, wouldn't he? But, but he couldn't hurt pups... Not his Alpha's pups. Not Nynx's pack.
He couldn't even look up at any wolf now. He shouldn't have gotten his hopes up. A cannible couldn't live among other wolves. He was born to be an outcast... But if being an outcast meant living without Nynx... He didn't know what he would do. He would starve to death for her, if only she gave him the word. His eyes closed, his tail curling close to his fur, his black feathered wings curling around himself.
Guardians... Give me strength... please...
