Knight He is no armored soldier, No savior coming to bring resurrection. He will be there for you through suffering, If you ever need a shoulder to cry upon, as you journey through the pain. It had been months since he had left that bloodied lagoon, his mother as stiff as stone as he had sent her down into the depths. His claws were tainted, his paws left, caked with the iron that came from a living soul. He had been a murderer, only to end his mother's misery. His father was still thriving with the pack that had tried to kill him, and he was probably dying inside from guilt. Yeah, his father had been a traitor, turned against his own family. Knight didn't blame him, but he did want to kill him. His innocent mother was now dead because of him, the only wolf that he loved, the wolf who had saved him from uncursable death. Now she was gone, and now he was alone, an outcast in a obsidian forest, waiting to be renewed by the presence of another being.
He had learned that life was unfair, and that wolves had no mercy. Were all lupines this way? Didn't they have feelings? No, apparently they didn't, and they didn't know of compassion either. He had to keep moving. His eyes were full of pain, as dry as dust, and his paws felt like lumps of lead had replaced them. His ears were cut, and infected as flies ate the rotting flesh. He was literally beaten up, and needed medical attention soon, before the infection coursed into his main blood stream, eating him from the inside out. He felt no pain, but he knew that he needed to hurry, and that his life was at stake. "I don't want to die out here." His pained voice echos through the vacant oblivion, he was truly alone. "I thought I was going the right way. That fae told me to go north, and that there was a pack that would offer refuge. That dishonest scat!" He yells, his anger fuming, then dissolving as quickly as it appeared.
He takes a few breaths of air, calming his nerves. This was no time to freak, his hourglass was running out. He starts to trot, his feet making no noise, no imprint in the muddied earth. His purple fur flows with him, his wings folded onto his flank, muscles tense and ready for action if attacked. He perks his ears as he hears soft voices close by, but not close enough to be seen. He narrows his eyes as he pads closer, and peers out into the clearing. The fae had been telling the truth! There was a pack here, he just didn't believe from the silence. Now was the moment of truth. Would they attack him, would they think of him as a threat? He wasn't especially intimidating, actually more of a warm and friendly sort. His ears flatten slightly as he takes a step out of the underbrush, into the open, a target for claw and teeth alike. His mind races like a frenzy of words, in and out of his brain as he thinks of the possibilities. I hope this isn't a fatal mistake. If this is a pack of refuge, like that ragged fae had said, then I should be safe here, shouldn't I? They wouldn't attack if they didn't know whether it were safe or not, would they? He stands still, and waits to be approached, by some wolf nearby. This awkward feeling wasn't going away from his senses, but he flicks his ears, opens his wings like an embrace, and smiles. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX ~Word Count: 647 ~Mood: Confident yet hesitant ~Ooc: Well, I have arrived!

Z e p h o r a Pads of black velvet touched down upon the loam at a steady pace, the queen's amber eyes taking in the scenery about her being, though a smile was seen upon her maw. Motherhood had finally arrived for her, and though she'd lost the life of her beloved, she now realized more than ever just how much she loved her pack. They were supportive and there for her when she needed them, just as she'd be there for them. With her pups now back at the den and waiting with a pupsitter, she set out to hunt and do a border patrol. Life without her beloved Kerrigan was hard, for now she had to do the parts of two alphas, but she still figured out how to pull it off. The fact that her pack was always there for her made things a whole lot easier, and so she was very thankful to have such a wonderful family in Nigori.
Checking upon some of the scouts and letting the others know that she'd be hunting and where her whelps were, she soon set towards the edge of the nesting grounds and towards the trails for her hunt. She hadn't gotten very far when she noticed this new wolf upon the horizon, and instinctually she strode forth with her head high and plume aloft to signal just who she was. A trot now carrying her closer to him, she soon came to stand before him, her muzzle dipping down as she looked upon the male.
Zephora herself was rather massive in size, standing well over 5 feet at the crown of her head, but despite her massive size, she was still a gentle female until provoked. When provoked she'd fight to the death to defend her family; her pack. But today she didn't feel she'd have to do such a thing. With an elegant sweep of her tail she let a smile grace the dark satin lips of her muzzle. "Hello there. I am Zephora, Alphess of Nigori.... are you doing alright, dear?" she asked, having caught scent of how he felt. He was nervous, but then of course, most wolves were when they saw she or her beloved.. they were giants compared to most wolves. It wasn't just his scent of unsurness that grabbed her attention though, but the scent of death and blood upon him. Clearly he was tired though, so she'd save such questions for later.

Sorry legion, but I wanted to continue this thread, and since you haven't responded, I am going to go ahead and post. If you want, you can post after me, which I would be fine with. I don't think there is a significant posting order right now for this thread.

Knight
He is no armored soldier, No savior coming to bring ressurrection. He will be there for you through suffering, If you ever need a shoulder to cry upon, as you journey through the pain.
Wings slowly drift back to his flank, relaxed now that his "special entrance" was over. He sighs self-conciously, his eyes flickering back and forth at the moving silhouettes as they walk before him, not paying any heed. The tips of his wings lay on the forest floor, with the appearance that they were dragged on the ground. Knight could hear the loud thudding in his chest, slightly anxious for his first introduction. What would he say?
He could see a large wolf in the distance, actually very close in reality. Her looks were magnificent, and he was positive that this fae was the alphess of this pack. Her stride was even significant, proud and confident, both characteristics that he lacked. Still, he could be outgoing, just not trustful in himself. Something in the air wasn't right. He could sense that there was a sadness shrouding everything underneath it. Something on the alphess' face was twisted with mourning. Then another question enters his head unexpectedly: Where is the alpha?
A chuckle leaves his lips as the alphess stands before him. He had been standing, petrified, during the moments that she approached, thinking like he did, but without a single thought of the world around him. Maybe he should fix that about himself, since it would probably get himself killed. Of course, he wouldn't mind that either. Then he peers up.
He had to look up to see right into her face, although she wasn't much taller, maybe by a foot or so. Knight felt a little bit looney, his nerves were rushing, in and out, in and out.... His brain tickled at the soft movements, but it was working, analyzing everything before him. He swallows loudly. He listens to her words carefully, figuring out what to say next, his eyes focused on the curl of her lips, as a smile creeps onto his. Her name was Zephora.
"My name is Knight. It is a pleasure to meet you, alpha." After a second, he realizes how stupid he sounded, so he bows in respect, and sighs softly, once again. His nostrils fill with the smell of blood. He looks down. Darn, my paws are covered in blood. Not the best way to approach an alpha, and not good for my image. His paws shuffle, smearing the blood on the ground, mixing with the dirt and moss. "I... I'm fine. Something happened..." His vision is obsured by black faded objects. He could hear voices, but they were distant. His head was screaming in pain, and he felt light-headed and dizzy. He started rocking back, and forth, then falling down on the ground. "Mother...." His breath leaves his lungs, eyes clouded. They slowly close, but he regains his breath. Images swirl in his mind, of this pack, of everything important to every one of the wolves surrounding him. The death of Kerrigan flickers into his mind, the alpha laying cold. So that was why the tension in the air was so strong. He saw the birth of the alpha-pair's pups, only to grow up without a father.
Where am I?

Z e p h o r a Zephora's plume drifted back and forth as she heard the male's name, and for a moment she forgot about the fact that he was covered in blood and smelled odd. Her ears then swept back as she looke to him as he said that something had happened. "Are you a survivor of some attack?" she asked, but she couldn't really ask much more, for the male's form then staggered, swayed, and before she knew it he'd collapsed at her feet. Moving to him she then gently grasped his nape before she tugged him about to rest upon her back just between her wings. Wandering through to a shaded spot beneath a willow, she then eased the male down and lay down beside him.
Her ears swept forward gently as she heard him murmur something about 'mother' but she didn't understand what it was for. Perhaps he was dreaming, she didn't know. She remained at his side nonetheless, waiting for the young male to wake again. He was in her territory, therefore he was under her protection, and though she hardly knew the male, she still had much she needed to learn from him. Such as why he was here, what had happened, and if he'd come for help or to join... just what was this male's past? She didn't know, but she'd guard him while he was down nonetheless and keep him safe from any who wished harm upon a defenseless wolf.
