Runa stumbled through the forest, half blind. She tripped constantly and walked into trees and bushes that were on her blind side. She held her head low, sniffing the earth below her paws for hints of what's ahead.
She stopped suddenly, the strong scent of wolves filling her nostrils. "Finally... a border. Runa was relieved when she finally found what she had been searching for. She lifted her head to the tree tops and howled into the territory.
"I would like to join this pack."
Her message was sent. Runa hoped the Alphess would hear and come soon. She sat down, and closed both her eyes. She opened her mouth slightly and smelled the air, picturing everything in her mind. She could see lots of trees, bushes, and many other forest plants.
Runa had just recently learned she could do this. As her vision worsened, her scent and hearing abilities became much stronger. Now, if she concentrates enough, she can clearly picture whatever she smells or hears around her in her mind. This would come in handy, as she will be able to find where prey is hiding if she has to.
But most importantly, she would be able to help pack members... if she were part of a pack. That was why she had come to this border. She didn't entirely know the name of this pack, but she heard rumors that they were strong. Runa wanted to have a family. She wanted to have a purpose in life. And this was that reason. She would be able to help others with her ability... but they will have to give her a chance first.

Feathers twitched along a smooth body trekking through the brush and thick trees. The trees were a nice yellow hue to the light crimsons eyes that scanned them ever so carefully, and every so wondrously. The forest had a heart beat all its own to these eyes; every tree had its own rhythmic undertone but the forest as a whole seemed to breathe as one. It was a beautiful feeling and sight compared to the desolate sands which this one had just come from only days ago. The sands had their own rolling energy, an energy that was always changing but the change was never new and was a part of a repetitious and never ending cycle. The ‘desolate’ but beautiful sands were not the kind of place this being would have liked to hunker down in for long. It lacked the unhidden wonder this one craved.
This one, had the body and shape of a wolf but not its usual features. Feathers covered every inch of this thing with not a thread of fur to be accounted for. The feathers were that of a peregrine falcon from head to toe on the beast, with the only pure white feature being her face, and the only pure gray/brown being her tail. The tail… it is not of a wolfs, but of a falcons. It consisted of the largest feathers on her body that were able to fan out or were able to overlap onto one another to conceal its width. It was clear this creature was female merely by the way she moved. Her overlapped tail swayed stiffly behind her swaying and carefully placed hips. It was like her every move was calculated, and it was. She was careful to not step on a small invertebrate or a baby tree peeking to reach the little sunlight that streamed through the canopy. It was easy for her spot these small things, as their energy was different from grass, dead wood, or even the larger trees and vertebrates. They were like beacons of light in the already colorful world. Still very noticeable.
It wasn’t long before her ears and crown feathers twitched up and down, and her head swiveled before she could even blink. Another energy, from a larger creature like herself; It shown through the yellowish hue of the forest as a bright orange swirl, which was the energy of someone who wanted to be found, was not hiding. Could this be the one who she had heard far off in the distance hours ago? Her feathers flared a bit in excitement, the first wolf she was to meet in the land of Lurid destinies. Would meeting this stranger be a part of her destiny here? She hesitantly hoped so.
She followed the trains and swirls of orange that weaved through the trees and brush until she came within eyes distance of the other female wolf. My, is she lovely…. the feathered one thought as she admired the silver, black, and cream coat of this female. Was she asleep? I don’t think so she thought, as she noted her cosmic energy was not being absorbed but slightly expelled. She was still awake. “Wolf,” She barked readily but kindly as she took a few steps out from what she could see as a wall of tree energy.
"I am Skylar." With a kind and curious smile.

~ X . E . N . O ~ Newcomers! There were newcomers in the forest! This had not occurred for sometime now, at least it had not occurred with him being so near to the borderlands. His heart thumped with the excitement of being allowed to greet the loners himself. It seemed that with the passing of the season, a rainy feeling had settled upon this miniature wolf's shoulders, so much so that he took to retreating to his own little burrow in the den, covering it with strewn feathers so that little light poked through.
It might have been the frost of winter and he shivered now as he thought of the days he awoke with frost on his nose, his tail frozen to a dead leaf in his burrow. Those were not comfortable days. Spring was, icy at best, the chill air leaving breath frosting as it was expelled through his tiny lungs. The micro wolf was glad that once more the wheel of time had turned and brought with it the sheer happiness and warmth that was summer.
Summer was without a doubt, Xeno's most favourite season. The colourful plants, the new life budding, all the butterflies and shiny things to collect! Ah summer. Days spent relaxing upon a large leaf in a pond, watching dragonflies court as afternoon drifted into evening. The white wolf giggled and squirmed with happiness as he thought of all the lovely days to come. It was almost enough to forget the dark shadow that hung over the lands of Aelyn ever since the plains had been invaded. What was that Lucidity up to in there?
No matter. There were newcomers to see to, so Xeno leapt off the branch he had been sitting on, his wings humming into action as they beat furiously to propel him through the forest. He landed at muzzle level with the other two wolves: both dazzlingly different in both appearance and aura, upon another branch parallel to them.
The six inch miniature wolf inhaled deeply, piping up his voice so that he would be heard. “Welcome to Toko Forest! Might you be wishing to see the Alphess Vanya?” He sang cheerily. OOC: Hope you guys don't mind me popping in, Xeno needed a little love ^^ Words: 358

OOC: Im just going to post. I sent gina a pm a while back and haven't gotten a response, so we can just rp until she returns.
Skylar's feathers twitched as an electric yellow energy came from the depths of the plush breathing forest. It was small, like that of a bird on a merry quest for dragonflies to bring home to its young, but this was not a bird. It was not like any familiar vibration sequence she had ever seen. She waited, a little unnerved at the rate this creature was coming toward her, but was then quickly settled by his obvious mood. He was more excited than aggressive, and was as open-minded as a pup, which was a rare quality that she loved about certain others. The tiny wolf had not yet even come into view and Skylar already knew what to expect from him. She was no telepath, she could not read anyone's mind. She could, however, read emotions simply by the energy expelled by the being in question. A useful tool when meeting strangers.
The little wolf popped suddenly from the brush and Skylar couldn't help but smile to herself and let out a breath. This was defiantly not what she expected... it was better. Never before had she come across such a peculiar being! What a glow he has.
The females black lips parted elegantly as she giggled at how vibrant and bold this little male was, she fell in love with his spirit instantly. As he was quick to pipe out about the Alphess Vanya, Skylar was quick to reply "And who might you be?" with a heightened sense humor and an easygoing undertone.
Her tail slightly fanned and her crown-feathers twitched back as she readily realized her rude introductory. She bowed her muzzle low enough to surpass the branch he was resting on, and slowly came back to eye level, "I am called Skylar." Her eyes shifted to the female next to her, but her words were undoubtedly directed to the miniature wolf in front of her, "Alphess Vanya. Well, if that's who your alpha is, then I be very wishing to meet her." Her eyes calmly shifted back to him as a playful smile graced her lips from the use of her own words and the rareness of the situation.
She had heard about this place of Aelyn, with very varied types of wolves roaming its entirety, but never could she have foreseen that the second wolf she'd happen across(or had happened across her) would be a six inch brute. So far this place was tickling her fancy.

Skylar! So the fae's name was Skylar. Well it was definitely a fitting name for one with such beautiful avian features, Xeno thought as his tail twisted around the branch he was sitting on to give him a better hold on, should he lose his balance and fall off. He had certainly seen a number of oddities in his lifetime, himself being one of them! But this feathered fae was a dazzling sight to behold.
The way she bowed too, was exquisite. So full of grace and cheer! He could tell they would get on and that simple thought made him feel full to bursting with happiness. He giggled, leaning back upon the branch so far that it seemed he would fall, before he unfurled his wings, beating them once, twice, thrice to regain his balance atop the tree.
“Well then Skylar! Oh beautiful fae and your as of yet nameless companion, if it is the Alphess Vanya you wish to meet, then I would be more than happy to escort you to her! Though of course I probably know as much about her location as you! Our Vanya is like the morning wind, graceful and beautiful yet a wanderer. She is a great Alphess, but if she does not want to be seen then she shall be hard to find!” He laughed again, thinking of the kind-hearted Vanya and all that she had brought to these lands.
“However I hope that I can at least be of some use to you as this forest is as familiar to me as the back of my left wing! Simply express where you wish to go and I will do my best to aid you in whatever ways I can!” And with that the miniature brute gave another bow, standing up and stretching his pale blue wings out for balance as much as for show.
