Name: Jarre [pronounced Jar-eigh; emphasis on first syllable]
Copyright (c): images.easyart.com/i/prints/rw/lg/3/3/Mini-Posters-Grey-Wolf-330256.jpg
Nicknames: None. (However, his mate, Ithaca, often calls him nicknames like "Jar-head" and "Over-stuffed rabbit". Of course, he doesn't mind if other wolves want to give him a nickname. He probably won't remember it though).
Age: 4 years.
Gender: Male
Desired Pack: Misuteriasu Mountains
Desired Rank: Beta
Looks: Jarre is a hunky male wolf. He's not just tall, but very muscular and has a thick coat, therefore making him very heavy. He's a shining Grey Wolf. The gray fur on his back and across his stomach is so light, it's best described as silver. Jarre has a lot of eggshell coloring on him, like on his snout, cheeks, and on vast parts of his body, especially his legs. The lining of his ears are a wooden-brown. The gray fur becomes very dark in some areas, making a black...like on some parts of his inner ear (the rest of the inner ear being a mixture of gray and eggshell) and lining his eyes, like a defined eyeliner. His nose and footpads are also black. His claws, however, are clear. Jarre has so many shades of gray on him, it would take forever to describe. Then mixed in with the gray is a cream-color. His tail is normal length and hairy. It's not exactly "fluffy" but is definitely very hairy. Compared to his body size, his paws are normal. However, to other wolves, almost every part of Jarre are huge. Basically, from afar, Jarre looks like the usual gray wolf, but one that is very large and strong. He's 32 inches in shoulder height, and 6 feet in length. He weighs approximately 140 pounds. His great size, needless to say, easily attracts the opposite sex. Jarre is very physically attractive to female wolves and formidable to many males.
Power: All over Jarre's pelt, amidst the normal fur, is rather strange-looking fur that looks like frozen droplets of water. But it's not fur and it's not water. It's his power. Or, moreso, his defense. When in a fight, those "droplets" connect together making an (almost invisible) ice-cold shield over his body (except on his stomach). That way, any animal that attacks him (not noticing this shield) will be stunned momentarily at the first touch. But the "droplets" don't just affect his enemies, they affect him too. Although it's not water, it's still liquid and as any other type of liquid, it absorbs into his body. However, since he knows how to use this power, it doesn't hurt him but he uses it to his advantage. Jarre learned how to focus his energy to direct the freeze where he wants it: his teeth and paws, without taking up too much energy or hurting himself. Therefore, when he is attacked, the attacker is frozen by his shield at first, but then the attacker learns to go where he doesn't see the droplets: Jarre's stomach. But as the attacker lounges for his stomach, Jarre attacks. His teeth and paws have the same frozen defense but he uses them now as an offense, directing his paws where to freeze his opponent. Jarre re-energizes his power at any place where there is water. If he doesn't re-energize soon enough, the "droplets" will "dry out" and not work when he needs them. (If he took enough energy and time to do this, Jarre could freeze a lake or pond with his body. However, it has never been tested and is not for certain. And if it could happen, it would take up too much of his energy, leaving him limp afterwards). Jarre always has to keep an eye on his energy level. During winter time when there is not running water, it's more difficult for him to recharge, because he must first break the ice and try to keep the water from freezing, while he drinks it. (To recharge, he drinks water and lets it get to every portion of his body- making him drink gallons of water).
Eyes: Jarre's eyes can best be described as ice-blue. But they're much more than that, when seen up close. Many wolves get caught in his eyes as they seem to have intricate rings, rather than just one ring as the iris. The farthest ring (outer eye) is a dark, stormy sea, blue. The next one down is a slightly lighter shade of that. Coming closer to the pupil, is the most beautiful ring: it looks like a frozen lake. Therefore it is a bluish-green (but mostly blue) that looks wavy but unmoving. The ring hugging the pupil, is a lighter shade of that...it's the lightest shade of blue before becoming clear. All the rings together sparkle in the sun and moonlight. The pupil is a pitch black- black as a night with a new moon. (When he uses his power, it appears that his eyes glow or become iridescent. It is not known why this happens).
Wings: None.
Personality: Although he looks very formidable from afar, Jarre is usually very calm and mellow. He's more of a joker than a fighter, and will stay out of fights as best he can. Oftentimes, he's very sarcastic and joking when he first meets wolves. He doesn't mean to be rude, but his first impressions on others often go downhill because they are unintentionally offended by him. However, once his pack members get to know him, they notice his real personality, and therefore forgive him for his sarcasm. Nevertheless, he is a good hunter. Although he lacks speed, his great size comes in handy when he pounces on his prey. His power also helps him take down prey. But even when hunting, Jarre isn't fierce. The only time Jarre is fierce, is when he's defending Ithaca, his mate. Jarre is overly-protective (although he doesn't seem it at first) of Ithaca. Even though he's not an aggressive fighter like she is, he will fight to the death if she is in any kind of danger. As Jarre is very different from Ithaca, they get in many fights and separate often. To a stranger, they may look like enemies. But deep down in both of their hearts, they adore each other and can't stand to be apart.
Nevertheless, Jarre takes advantage of his charming personality and flirts with nearly every she-wolf. Many she-wolves are astounded by his charm and love being around him. They love his light mood and his heavy figure- he's joking but strong enough to defend them. And he will in fact defend any female or pup that is in danger. But like nearly every other wolf, Jarre is the most defensive over his mate. He'll run miles to reach her (even though he hates running), enter another territory for her, even challenge an Alpha if that Alpha threatens his mate. Unlike Ithaca, Jarre loves pups. Although he never brings up the idea with her, (because he knows she'll just growl at him and he likes to keep her happy), Jarre wants pups. He wants to be a father. The two of them would make good parents, but Ithaca likes the freedom of not having to worry about pups. Therefore, Jarre just focuses on watching other pups if need be. And, boy!, do pups love him! Jarre's so playful. ^^ In fact, Jarre is playful with all wolves. If he makes a good friend (which is easy for him), oftentimes he'll start a play fight with that wolf. In the end, though, Jarre's favorite thing to do in the whole wide world...is sleep. (Which, by the way, don't wake him up while he's sleeping unless you have a REALLY good reason).
History: Jarre had a very easy life growing up. As a pup, it was just him and his mother (Cherylenn) on their own (his father had been captured by humans before he was born). Soon, however, Cherylenn joined her brother's (Thein's) pack. Thein's pack had formed outside the realm of humans, which is why Cherylenn and Jarre decided to join. After the kidnapping of her husband, Cherylenn feared humans. She wanted safety for her son, and therefore moved with Thein to the realm of Aelyn. This was the pack Jarre was raised in. It was a rather large pack- fourteen wolves in total. Their large size kept rogues and other packs from challenging them or their territory. Therefore, it was a very peaceful place to grow up. The pack's territory was in the mountains of Eastern North America. At two years, Jarre decided to leave the pack, and start on his own. He left with another male, Rhoughe, a friend of his. They both wanted to see what the rest of the world was like. In that year that he left his pack, many life-changing events happened. Firstly, he lost his friend in a battle. They'd challenged a pack of four wolves and utterly failed- they had no real experience in fighting, since their only practice was light play-fighting as pups. His friend was killed and he fled. He lived as a rogue wolf then, cautious of any wolf he did not know. He unknowingly came across his father, Jace, who had escaped the humans by using his deadly power against them (power explained below in parent description). Jace had traced his son to the realm of Aelyn, hoping to find Cherylenn with him. Jarre traveled with his father for a couple of months, which, during that time, Jace taught his son how to fight and gave him much advice for the future. Jarre's father eventually left, seeking his mate, Cherylenn. Alone again, Jarre thought about his father's advice and decided that he didn't prefer solitude. He joined several other packs, but realized that packs weren't good for him either- he liked living life on the edge. However, the packs he joined were smaller than the one he grew up in, and they therefore gave him more fighting and hunting experience. Jarre also learned how to control his power and use it to his advantage. By four years old, he decided to live as a loner again. With better experience now, he did well on his own...but he still sought company. He'd met Ithaca once while she was hunting- she nearly killed him. But his charming, joking behavior caught her off guard and she let him go. He'd follow her when she'd move on to another spot to live. Eventually, Ithaca got used to him and enjoyed his company as well. Now he roams on his own, occasionally checking on his mate...however, he's always withing howling range of her.
Other: Just for the record, Jarre is a LOT like Emmett Cullen from the Twilight Saga. He's also plenty like Thomas O'Malley from the "Aristocats" (movie).
Parent Description: Cherylenn is a beautiful and playful she-wolf. She's completely cream-colored, with only a few specks of brown on her tail and legs. She's a very slim wolf, but is very fluffy and her fur is very soft. Her eyes are a warm hazel, turning lighter in the sunlight. She has very petite paws and her underbelly and snout are so light they are basically white. Cherylenn is a very sweet but upbeat wolf. She's always looking on the bright side- being the positive, optimistic wolf all the time. Her power is invisibility.
Jace is a very handsome and strong wolf. His nickname is Fang. He's two years older than his mate, but it is not known exactly how old they both are. He is completely silver. There is no black or cream on him, but he is a stunning silver wolf. Jace is very muscular and heavy, like his son. But he's generally very serious and focused. Only on rare occasions is he "playful". His eyes are a deep, stormy-sea blue. His power is poison. His clear claws and teeth release deadly poison when he attacks.
Mate: Ithaca
Pups: None currently- however he's always open-minded to the idea. He loves pups!
Zodiac Sign: Libra
