Puru wriggled in her sleep. Something awful was going through her head. She was watching a scene that no one would want to see.
She was seeing her mother, liking the little purple wingless pup right beside her. Puru was the purple pup, but Puru was also watching. She looked around and saw things, but nothing saw or heard her. Nothing even felt her.
She was screaming at the pink fae to run after her pale blue dad before it was too late. An evil wolf was coming. The "alpha" of the group. He was going to kill her.
Puru cried and screamed at her mother to run before she died. Her mother could not hear her daughter. Puru hide her face as the death blow was given to her mother.
"I see you." Came a growling voice. Puru looked and the wolf that had just killed her mom had seen her. The last thing she saw before she woke up was his jaws coming to wards her.
Puru woke up panting and in pain. The pain was normal though, she was still growing into her wings after all. She stood and shook her head.
"It was just a dream." Puru tried to convince herself as she walked away from the den. Cinder and Zeyph were father to the back with the pups. Puru had been sleeping away from them lately because of the dreams. She also did not plan on telling her foster parents about them.
She wandered outside and started to run. She wanted to get away.

~ Z . E . P . H . Y . R ~
Tiredness racked Zephyr's brain as the morning sun stumbled over the tips of the Misuteriasu Mountains. Though the stream of loners having been displaced from the plains by Lucid had ebbed, the golden Alpha still vigilantly patrolled the borders surrounding his and Cinder's lands, marking scent boundaries and checking upon other marked territories for signs of change. The monster Alpha of the mountains had left Vanya's territory in Toko, though little could be said of his location now. This worried Zephyr.
His ear flicked as a stirring in the den alerted him to a presence. Puru had awoken then. He had not asked why she had taken to sleeping on her own as of late – giving his adopted daughter her space was almost as important as letting her know he was there for her, she was a growing young wolf, after all – but it preyed on his mind a little. She dreamed sometimes, he knew that much from the noises he heard at night. However he would not ask her about it unless she saw fit to tell him – everyone had their secrets. Trust was a vital part of any relationship.
Placing strong paws on the ground, he heaved himself up, sun flecked tail swishing away. He half turned, watching his mate and their sleeping babes. A smile ghosted across his face, his pride and joy. With his left forepaw he pushed the two closer into the warmth of their mother, as no doubt at least Bhrin would feel his absence, though Zan slept like a comatose rock. As their pups had grown that ability was not lost on Zan; he could sleep through anything. He gave all three of them one last look over, love shining in his eyes before he left the den.
The cooling spray woke Zeph up as it splattered upon his sensitive nose and he allowed himself a full dose of the icy spray before stepping into the sun. Puru was about, her scent still strong in the winds, but it was confused, as if she had not known where to go. He gave a wife, loud yawn, audible enough for Puru to hear if she was anywhere near; letting her know he was there for her but not pressing the matter. The scent markers may need re-doing – he would see to that to start the morning. OOC: Typed up now! Yay! Words: 396

Puru had run a fair bit, or so she thought. With her head to the ground she did not see where she was going and ended up doing a loop until she found a decent sized bush to hide in, the only problem it was not that far from the den.
Puru sat there panting in the push for awhile. She was scared. What if one day that black brute came back and wanted to kill her like he had her mother? What if that black brute was Lucid?
Then Puru heard the yawn. She tensed and cautiously sniffed at the air. It was blowing away from her and she could not smell who it was. Shecrept from the bush and stuck her head out from it untill she saw the golden form of Zephyr.
She sighed with relief, what if someone had come to kill her? Wait, what was the point? She was a pup and not even that usefull to the pack so why would anyone kill her?
Puru shook her head and slunk back into the bush, hoping her foster father did not see her.
She turned around and went behind the bush and spread her long and slender wings. She flapped them slowly at first then she started to run and pump her wings faster. Soon she was in the sky.
She stayed in the cover of the clouds as she did a quick scout. Then she started to desend to the ground and landed near the alpha.
"Everything looks fine from the skies." Puru stated to her alpha and father.

~ Z . E . P . H . Y . R ~ He worried, like every mother to a son leaving home, like every bird in its young's first flight, like all parents he worried. Still he had to give her some space. She was becoming a young lady, no longer a baby needed to be followed and watched should it accidentally injure itself. A part of him felt sad about this passing, that she was beginning to get older, to grow up. He would still mess around and play with her with foolish tickle fights and play-races, but a big part of him wondered if she would want to do that with him anymore as she grew older.
Though another part of him was proud that little Puru – whom he had once found so afraid and alone and shivering from the cold – had overcome the adversity of simply living, simply surviving, to grow into a healthy – if not entirely content – little fae. Still, as always, whenever one of his family, his pack, was upset, he couldn't help but feel a little twinge of guilt at not being able to notice it sooner.
Perhaps though this might have been something Puru needed to deal with on her own. Zephyr had no idea of her life before arriving at Fukai, he never pressed the matter as he believed the principal that everyone should enter a new pack with a clean slate, but he couldn't shake the feeling that the little purple wolf was being bothered by something that happened to her a long time ago.
Suddenly she took flight and a burst of anxiety fluttered in Zephyr's throat. Was she running away? What if she was hurt by odd wind currents? What if she lost her balance? He swallowed heavily, forcing himself to remain calm, yet his body showed evident signs of tension and his back legs crouched slightly, ready to leap into the air should she show any difficulty in remaining aloft.
But, he should have known, she was fine, circling and gliding elegantly like she was born to the skies. He smiled, watching her soar, anxiety forgotten for the moment of sheer exhilaration that he remembered feeling when he was new to flight. His own golden wings twitched, itching to get up there and join her. He unfurled them just a little and gave them a shake, let her have her sanctity.
When she landed, he took a step back in case she should need to run a few paces to help slow herself down, but it was unneeded. He smiled at her and nodded when she stated her findings. “That's a good thing.” He said quietly, pondering for a few moments. “I've been thinking of perhaps going out for a little run. Let off some steam, feel the wind. Wanna join me?” He cocked his head almost playfully, hoping she would take him up on his offer. Even if she was reluctant to tell him what was wrong, the running would do good, help to clear the mind etcetera, etctera.
