S.orey ---------------------------------- I need you here tonight just like the ocean needs the waves
The air was cool and a crisp, a wind blowing gently through the land, making the leaves that changed color on the trees rustle and the branches rub against one another. The trees would sway slightly from time to time as the wind blew and gained strength before dying down once again. A few birds took to the skies and rode on the winds whilst some squirrels scampered about on both branches and ground, scurrying to find their food supply for the cold months to come. The forest had changed it’s colors from green to a beautiful palette of reds and golds and browns, with the exception of those evergreen pines and the like that refused to give up their color to the workings of autumn.
It was in this state that the forest was in when the wolf found himself at the edge of what seemed to be another pack’s territory. He had wandered the forests between the pack lands he had yet to explore and the pack lands he had known all his life. No he was staring into the territory, dark blue orbs concentrated on the far horizon hidden over and over by endless tree trunks. The multi-hued brute was sitting back on his haunches, muscles relaxed though his ears were pricked and alert, listening to the faint sounds of the forest around him. Eyes closed for a few moments and his cranium tilted upward, feeling the light autumn wind blow against his façade whilst he waited, for what, he wasn’t entirely sure, but he was waiting. Perhaps for a sign, maybe that was it.
His ear flicked at the sound of rustling from the trees above. He opened his dark hued optics and looked up, wondering what was causing the sound. His gaze fell upon an ebonite raven, a bird the looked sleek and gorgeous in the sunlight, and it appeared to be staring at him. For a moment Sorey found himself wondering if this was the sort of sign he’d been waiting for. The raven let out a single caw and took flight, turning in the air to go in the direction of the pack lands that had yet to be explored by the six year old wolf. Rey let out a sigh and lifted a back leg to scratch behind one of his ears, eyes closed for a moment in thought as he scratched. Perhaps it truly was time for him to actually do some more exploring. He knew these free lands almost as well as he knew his home by now.
The multi-hued male finally placed his back leg on the ground once more and then pushed himself into a standing position, muscles now tense as he thought about what he was about to do. He lowered his cranium to the ground and let his ebony nostrils flare as he took in the scent, stepping forward tentatively until he hit the definite scent marker. Here he lifted his cranium once again and inhaled deeply before letting out a single loud bark, letting it echo into the forest and bounce off the trees, as if the earth itself would deliver his announcement to whoever occupied the lands. He hesitated for a moment, he didn’t know whether these wolves were hostile or not, he was taking a huge risk…but what was life without a risk here or there? Rey shrugged to himself and then took a few tentative steps into the lands of the Toko Pack before settling into a calm, slow-paced walk, eyes, ears, and nose alert to everything around him as he walked along.

Elegant ears flicked. Once. Twice. Before eyes slid open and slim cranium lifted high. 'Another one...?' she thought, a slow slide of words through the waves of her mind. She tilted her head, lifting one ear higher, listening to the echos of the sound she'd heard. The pack had been given a gift by the Ancestors. A flurry of activity had been offered, and Minou had jumped to gather all who entered the lands. Or she had tried. She was only one wolf after all and the pack needed her around. Some loners looking for a home had been missed, and for that she was sorry, but she had gotten to most of them. Actually, she had just settled down for a nap. Her eyes were hazy with sleep but a small sigh slipped from her lips and she scooted one front leg slightly to the side so she could rise again. Her tapered muzzle opened in a yawn, one that wiped the exhaustion from her eyes and energized her muscles. At least it had been about an hour since she'd settled into her den. She thanked the skies that it had been that long.
Her teeth gave a click as she closed her jaws and rose to her feet in a surge of muscle, and she stretched out her long front legs and let her chest touch the ground. A low groan of pleasure slid out of her throat and she tipped her head back a bit and grinned lightly. The stretch felt wonderful to her spine. She hopped up to four paws again, in a rush of movement, feeling suddenly spunky. It had her frowning slightly. Odd feeling for the fae, but then it was a blessing. She stretched one back leg, then the other. With an upward snap of her head feathers, she turned a slight circle. She budged her bedding with one foot, straightening it - not that it needed to be - before bounding out of the large den. Her paws made little sound as she slipped through the almost too-small entrance, and then she was out into the camp.
Her nostrils flared and her large lungs drug air deep, the scent of wolf, and fall, and pack. That same, gentle smile lifted her lips, as she gazed around camp before turning and darting out of the arena of rock and roots that made it up. Her legs struck the air, firm in their direction and knowledge of the land they trod upon. The cold wind of autumn teased her pelt, but did not meet her skin. Her breath slipped out and left a slight cloud before she passed it by just seconds later. It was getting colder, and soon it would be winter once again. Another winter, it was hard to believe she'd been in this packland nearly three years. And it hadn't felt that long. In those years she had grown, become powerful, settled into a position she was usually happy with, and enjoyed. But then, Corrinth had led then, and she had only to monitor things, not run around like a mad wolf. How thankful she was that it had been that way when she'd first been named Betess.
As she edged closer to where the sound had been she slowed to a slow trot-like pace. More smooth, more flowing though. or it could have just been the body that achieved this speed. She was an odd wolf. Truly she couldn't be mistaken for anything else, but her appearance was slightly like a regal borzoi dog. Though her face was broader, her muzzle not as long, she was still very slim. Her ears were wolven, pointed high on her skull, her neck was long, her chest large for her lungs. It sloped into a rather thin stomach area. Her legs were long, longer maybe than a regular wolf's, if anything could be regular in Aelyn. Paws slim, but big, she was made for speed, not necessary just for it, but she did seem to dainty to fight physically. Her power lay in her mental strength, and really no one knew the extent of it. She'd never had to use it in battle when she'd come to Aelyn. And she was worried that would not stay a constant with Lucid's rise.
Her ears pricked and she slowed even more, her jaws parting on a low, liquid bark of her own. Soft, it carried through the trees easily despite the gentle tones. She tilted her head, wondering if she'd get an answer but she spotted the male before that thought could finish. She slowed to a walk, lifting her head a slight bit and her tail curled over her spine automatically. It was more showing her rank than dominance, for she did not give an air of aggression or confrontation, just the normal feel of Minou. Kind and friendly. She stopped a fair distance away and dipped her head slightly, slowly. Her light blue coat flicked, danced like the water she'd been originally named for. Her maw parted and she spoke first, since it was her right. "Hello, loner-male. I am Minou, Betess here," she greeted politely, voice gentle and slow in a calming way. "You wished to enter, yes?"

S.orey ---------------------------------- Oh let me have a home here let me protect it without fear
Sorey had been hesitant to start and now he was hesitant to keep going. He brought his slowly moving limbs to a halt after only a few steps into the territory, his nostrils tingling with the scent of the pack that inhabited the lands. He wasn’t sure if the pack would be hostile, if his trespassing would be taken as a major offense or if the pack would think next to nothing of his entrance or if they would be polite and question his appearance before concluding that he would be up to no good. The multi-colored brute sighed gently and pricked his ears attentively in the direction of the pack lands, wondering if his bark had even carried far enough to catch the attention of any of the wolves that resided here and claimed this place their home. The male sat back on his haunches once more and lifted a back leg yet again to scratch an itch behind his ear again, this had become a bit of a nervous habit in the six years of the male’s life. The rhythmic sound of his nails scratching his skin right behind his ear had a bit of a soothing affect on him, almost like how a trained dog would feel when their master scratched them in that very spot.
Rey put his leg down once again, the ice blue color of his paw sticking out almost blazingly from the rest of his body colored with all sorts of browns and blacks and greys and whites and tans. The hue concentrated itself into a ribbon that wrapped itself around his leg as it made it’s way up toward his body, ending just where his leg blended into his haunches. The wolfs ears pricked yet again, flicking at the sound of a few birds taking flight in the forest…perhaps they saw something? The male’s thoughts strayed to what the birds could have seen to make them take flight. Dark blue orbs were clouded with thought, considering the different things a bird could have seen…a predator attempting to hunt them down, another bird intruding upon them, perhaps a simple rodent of sorts had startled them into the skies by rustling the branches and bushes below as if it were a careless carnivore attempting to catch them. Sorey snorted gently and focused on what was happening with him, on what he had been thinking of doing only moments before and started to wonder whether deciding to attempt to join this pack was really a wise decision at all.
A sigh escaped the wolf’s lips as his mind continued to ponder the intelligence of his choice to attempt to join the pack. He allowed his pink tongue to loll out for a moment and he panted lightly as he thought, eyes half closed for a moment. He missed the comfort of others around him and he missed knowing that he had a home and a place to go to. He missed being secure in the fact that he was safe as opposed to the dreadful feeling of exposure he had had every night since he left his old pack far beyond the mountains in the distance by now. He wanted to belong somewhere again, but he did not want to return to where he had come from…not only would he feel that he had gotten nowhere by leaving, but he would certainly not find things to be as they once were. His thoughts slipped into memories, into the times when he had run along his pack mates to chase down large prey, large prey that now knew he could not take them down by himself, and that showed in the unnatural thinness of the male, a silhouette of bone visible where his ribs and shoulders would be, for instance. Sorey brought his mind back to the present just as a new sound reached his ears and a new scent was picked up on a slow, gentle breeze.
Sorey stood on all four legs again, muscles tense and ears alert as the sound of an answer came from the forest before him, a bark that sounded low and soft, and made him wonder exactly how far away the creator of the sound was, but soon had this unspoken question answered as the thudding of paws against earth reached his auds and his attention was completely won by the sight of a light blue canine making it’s way toward him, at a long distance at what appeared to be a run and soon slowed to a walk. At first Sorey played with the idea that an average pack member had come to greet him and escort him to meet someone of a higher rank, but as the female, for her scent told him she was so, approached he could see the slight tilt upward of her skull and the curling of her tail over her back…she was one of the higher ranked wolves of the pack, and a beautiful one at that. The male automatically lowered his own tail so that it lay limp behind him and lowered his tail and ears, showing her the respect that was due to her regardless of which high rank she was…or at least how it had been in his birth pack.
Sorey let his dark blue gaze rest on her eyes for a moment before dropping his eyes respectfully and listening intently to the female’s words, to what her lyrics told him. He took in her words and smiled politely at the female, glad to catch her name…Minou…it was something he had not heard before, a calling that would be considered odd in his pack since they avoided basing names off animals of any sort, but he liked the different ring it had to his ears and the uniqueness of it. He listened to the rest of what Minou said before dipping his head in her direction and speaking, “Greetings, Betess Minou…I am Sorey, a traveler for many moons, but hopeful that such a life ends soon.” he said simply, acknowledging her position and speaking his name as well as his current standings, not to mention hinting that he hoped to join the pack he had come upon. “Yes, I did wish to enter, Betess…shall I be allowed to?” he asked kindly, politely, smiling at the light blue femme as he spoke, a charming smile, and a genuine one at that that came naturally to the male. Now all he could do was hope that she would be of some help in giving him a home here, or to at least give him a chance to prove himself worthy to join the pack.

Her head tilted as she looked the male over. He was skinny, but she knew that once filled out he would be a muscled brute. He wasn't small in stature, nor was he massive. He was a good size for a brute. This male would take down much prey for the pack, she decided, ears arching forward even more. He had a broad chest, were hers was long, but both were made for running, his more for battle. He was handsome, truthfully he was. A mix of colors, all browns and blacks. Different levels of each flittered about his frame and added a visual stimulation that needed no flashy colors or odd appendages. It was interesting to see a wolf with so natural of colors, even if he did have markings. Those colors were tasteful, and not crazy. Sometimes Minou envied wolves with natural tone, and not the bright blue. But then again, she decided, her gentle blue colors were found in the streams and trickling brooks she had been born near and was always compared too. She liked her coloration, she just sometimes wished for the feeling of shape changing, or at least a shift in her pelt color. She smiled lightly - unnoticeable really - and let that thought trail away. I want, I want. It was always that way with her nowadays.
But his markings were her colors. Or at least the one making up her eyes. A aqua blue, that stood out and made him a characteristic wolf of Aelyn. No wolf here could be without a markings or that was considered strange. A nice ribbon, trailing down to cover one foot. 'Ahh, simplicity, she thought, amused. His eyes were a darker blue, and she found the difference appealing. She smiled lightly at him, or herself, or the day. She was unsure which but she didn't really put that much thought into it. She just wished to smile. He seemed polite enough, as she allowed him his right of checking her body for signs of her rank. Some wolves didn't even do that. Every wolf gave away their position in the world by their body language and not showing or checking for it was something Minou considered very stupid. What were parents teaching pups these days? You could learn so much from just looking at a wolf. She appreciated his review and her tail lowered slightly out of respect for this. Maybe she was easily impressed, but the gesture stood, all the same.
Her mind trailed back to Vanya as a second of silence drifted after her words. They, she and the small female, had discussed the alpha position. The female was strong, and the pack needed such a leader. Minou had seen something in the fae that had her searching out and bringing the topic up. it was not a selfish reason - like allowing Minou to have few duties - but it was one for the pack. Minou could accept wolves, but she was not made for the rigors of holding on together. She was not an alpha. She was a leader and a commanding presence, but she could not handle the stress of all eyes on her, though she enjoyed her rank and the jobs it gave her. As long as those jobs didn't go out of control. She wasn't soft, but she worked to hard to have things always popping up for her attention. The fact she had had little sleep was a outcome of that. She didn't even realize her exhaustion - the edge of it only - reflected in her eyes and in her stance, though it was firm and strong. Something gave her away; what is was, really didn't matter.
A flicker of movement had her eyes actually settling back on the male with her full attention and it was too see him showing the proper respect for a ranking wolf. Ears lower,t ail lower. But he wasn't hunched, per say. He didn't cower. A proud brute then, she decided, thinking that was good. Some wolves enjoyed others groveling at their feet, but she did not see the point. Lower rank could be revealed through small things too, so why make a wolf feel like dirt? Her fur ruffled in the wind and she lowered her tail even more, giving the wolf a slight nod. She had gotten his message, and he could relax. He didn't need to stay flat, for she knew a wolf liked to move their tail and ears without worry of reprimand. She did, herself, so she gave the same. She hadn't moved since she'd stopped in front of the male, and she smoothly lowered herself into a sit, her curved rump placing itself on the ground with no fuss. Her tail curled around her, feathers at the tip of her tail tickling her legs. She sat like a pretty statue, one of those leonine images that guard doorways. Until she tilted her head in a charming motion as he began to speak.
His voice was charming, much like hers but thankfully very masculine. Deep, very baritone, he gave away his own personality through that underlying tone. He had a very flowing voice, easily taking on the nuisances of everyday words Minou heard all the time. She knew some voices to be rough, some to be harsh, but she recognized this tone. Much like her own it was following the rivers pattern. She wondered - briefly - if he too had grown up near water, but she did not ask, because it would seem impolite. She turned her attention away from the way he spoke to what he'd said. She smiled briefly and replied quickly. "Just Minou, is fine. I know my rank, so I don't need to hear it," she said, a spark of amusement in her soft eyes. She twitched her head feathers lightly, an unconscious gesture, before speaking again in her same, lilted fashion. "And yes. I think so, Sorey. Toko Forest needs strong males, and you seem to need the Forest."
Her response could have been a jab at his thinness, but it was not seen that way. He had that feeling of a loner. She had thought it before and she did so again now. It was almost like a taste. Of wanting, of hope, or loneliness. Maybe it could be explained away, but loners looking for a home felt like Sorey, while others could feel like drifters just looking for some food. She was no empath, no, it was something every wolf could feel if they were looking for it. And Minou liked to look for ti to see how true her new wolves were. Who she should expect to leave. Who would be strong and true to the pack. She liked that knowledge, and enjoyed the fact it was given freely, without knowledge and without effort on her part. No stepping into a mind was necessary, only a sense of self and others.

S.orey ---------------------------------- Oh let me have a home here let me protect it without fear
Sorey’s eyes wandered over the female’s build once again, not critically but almost admirably. He took in her sleek build and slender figure. His dark blue orbs took in the light, shimmery blue coat and the icy blue orbs of Minou. He found that he liked the hue of her pelt and how it matched and yet differed with the color that decorated the femora’s eyes. Sorey nodded to himself mentally and continued to look her over, noting how their build was similar, yet hers was slimmer and more feminine, without a doubt in fact. The male couldn’t help but to compare their body builds mentally and decided that the Betess would be faster than him but he would hold more strength than she, and he did not mind that such a thing would happen, nor would he have minded if the fact were the she would be stronger than him. The multi-hued brute could feel the other canine’s eyes passing him over, and as he watched her features he could only gain a sense of approval…perhaps she approved of his appearance, though he himself was a bit begrudged with himself, knowing that he was thinner than he would like to be, but he would be glad to know that she was thinking that he would fill out once more upon eating properly again.
Sorey’s ears flicked for a moment when his orbs caught a glimpse of her moving and shifting muscles as she first relaxed her posture slightly and then sat down altogether. For a moment he was unsure of what to do, trying to remember the path etiquette he had learned when he was younger and had lived in the pack of his ancestors. After a brief pause of thought he relaxed his posture as well, tail now limp and barely skimming the earth beneath him. After another moment Sorey decided to sit down as well, deciding the conversation would seem a little more casual if both of them were sitting with their flanks against the earth, as if they had known each for some time as opposed to having just met as they truly had. Sorey found his attention grasped briefly by their surroundings, taking in the look of the forest’s edge, of how the trees thickened the further into the pack territory he looked and how thin the trees were where they currently sat. Had he been a pack wolf he would feel rather exposed at the moment, but having been a loner and a traveler for nearly two years now, the brute felt perfectly at home…it would take but a little while to be used to the mysteries and the hiding places of the forest once more.
The male wondered for a while what the territory looked like and what landmarks he would familiarize himself with within the boundaries of his new home. He wondered if there were any sources of water he would be able to make a den near…yes, he hoped the pack was not required to remain in a specified den area when their homes were concerned, the brute would much rather have his den near the liquid that he could control so that he could hear it making it’s way through the land as he fell asleep and so that it would be the first sound he heard when he would awaken. He had been able to do as much whilst he had roamed, and only hoped that he would be permitted to do so in this forest, or perhaps the whole pack was denned near a source of water, he would consider himself rather fortunate is this were the case however, after all, it was indeed rare that such was the case with den sites for packs, unless they had a great number of elders that needed to be close to their resources. At this thought the relatively young male took a deep whiff of the air and tried to differentiate the ages of the wolves that had roamed about recently, but found the smells to mixed to be certain of whether or not there were many elder wolves in the pack.
The male’s attention returned to Minou when her voice finally broke the silence that had settled over them for a few seconds, the vibrations of her lyrics reached his audits and formed the words she spoke, but for a few moments they did not register what she was saying to him, for a brief moment, he listened to what her song sounded like, not what she spoke as far as words, specifically. Her voice reminded him of the liquid that he controlled. It reminded him of a gentle, bubbling stream and a surging, roaring river, all the same. He couldn’t help but compare the sound of it to that of his own voice, and found the two to be quite similar, only her’s sounded slightly more fluid and of a higher octave than his own. Sorey mentally smiled at himself and thought that he would certainly spend a lot of time with this femme, with the Betess of the pack, he wished to know her better indeed. She seemed…different from others of higher rank he had run into before, most demanding, to an extent, that he make a bigger nothing of himself than he already was, which thankfully was not the case here. He enjoyed the change in high ranking attitudes and only hoped that the others of high ranks were as sincere and calm as she was, it would certainly make his joining a lot easier. He knew he was too proud to grovel at someone’s paws, and he’d rather not get in trouble for it…and thus he was thankful that this she-wolf did not demand such a humiliating of him, and he couldn’t help but admire her for this, it proved the power she had in the pack had not gone to her head.
Sorey finally let himself concentrate on the meaning of her words, letting them slowly register in his brain, taking in their meaning and in almost the same instant coming up with how to respond to her words. He couldn’t help but smile at her last few words, had she used just about any other tone of voice he would’ve taken such words as an insult, but he knew what she was referring to and couldn’t help but be somewhat grateful for the fact that she did not rub it in more than was necessary. He paused for a moment before speaking in return, his voice just as charming and baritone as before, “Alright, I would agree with you that you know your rank full and well here…and I shall call you Minou. And please, feel free to call me Rey, it’s what most that knew me once had called me, unless you prefer Sorey of course, m’lady.” he said politely, smiling in a bit of a playful manner when he spoke of his nickname, in such a way that one could consider flirting with the younger female, but he wouldn’t call it so…at least not at that moment. “And yes, I would agree…I do very well need the forest, and those within it.” he said in agreement, nodding his regal crown for a moment in a thoughtful manner as he let his gaze lock onto her’s once more before going on, “Minou, if it is not much to ask…may I inquire as to the Alphas? And the Beta? I’m certain you have a Beta by now at your side, no?” he asked her kindly, his head tilting to one side slightly as he questioned her, certain that a beauty like her had already been courted and committed, though he was almost certain he caught no scent of a specific male on her.

He was an interesting male. It was not hard to think. Wouldn't be hard to say. Minou had never been one to hide from truth or thoughts. And why hide this one? It was a regular emotion, this time. Not something mean or unnatural to her. And whether that interest was personal or for the pack, Minou couldn’t tell yet and that was probably the reason behind her thoughts over it. She liked thinking into things, looking into what she was feeling. The fae considered it a strength to know when and how and why she was feeling things and to figure out how to tone them down. It was just the way she was. If she knew and accepted they wouldn't pop in randomly and throw her off. And sometimes this method worked. Others? Not all that well. Despite this, she still liked running through it in her mind. Interesting had many meanings. Odd, different. New. Something to be used for a purpose, something colorful or flashing. Someone a person could come to like as a date. All meanings. Interesante. Spanish. Meant the same thing, just a nice twist and tingle on the tongue. She realized suddenly she must seem insane with this odd flashing logic, and a grin slashed her muzzle in amusement before she dropped the word and stopped worrying at it.
She blinked her soft eyes at the male, who was busy rearranging himself to copy her posture. She tipped her head to the side, ears cupping forward. Good then, he understood respect, or at least got the drift of a relaxed conversation. She was pleased with them and she flashed her teeth at him before letting her pale, dark lips cover the white. Her shoulders slid down a bit as her muscles went lax. She was tired, and she suddenly felt her lack of sleep. She could ignore it when she first greeted a wolf, adrenaline sparking her to life with the threat of attack. But she now knew he was no danger to her. Or to the pack. The male just didn't have that feel about his mind. And because of this no-fear, she had no reason for that surge of hormones, and as such, her muscles wanted her to fall on her face in front of this male. She stiffened her limbs, face becoming strained for but a moment before it gentled again. Hiding her weakness so she seemed serene once again. Her pale eyes gazed out of her face, dimmer, but still stunning even in the pool of pale blue of the rest of her body. She wished suddenly for her wings. A random urge. She felt suddenly naked without them, knowing she had not worn them like a regular piece of her form in a while. They were just for flight it seemed, not just normal. She pushed it from her mind because it was true, wings were not useful here.
Her mind moved to the male, watching him. It was a normal moment, one filled with waiting. Just scanning, looking around. She didn't really know what she thought about at that moment. When she looked back on it later, she wouldn't be able to remember most of this one moment. The sun warmed her pelt, the wind pulled at her fur. She was distinctly aware of the ground beneath her paws, a root that was under her foot, elevating it a little, and the male in front of her. It was almost as if her brain cleared and she rested it but a minute. her stance shifted, moving as all bodies moved at every second. A slight sway, a small flick of the ear, a contraction of muscles that made claws dig into the earth and leave furrows or for the tail tip to twitch. Her eyes were taking in everything. the soft light, the scuttle of bugs, the movement of leaves the unmindful shifting of this new male. Sorey. She must remember his name after all. He would become part of the pack. But then, her memory had not been all together that well these last few weeks. The sleep issue, she theorized.
She came back with a snap, and noticed the male had yet to speak. Her eye-ridge lifted questioningly, a playful, kind mocking look, if you understand such words together, wondering when he would come out of his own mental vacation. Her nose wrinkled, dragging in his scent again and she moved her back legs farther under herself. But then he seemed to find himself, and consider a moment. She did not say anything about the wait. She herself was known to let her mind wander in a conversation and it was nice, to be able to consider him while he pondered over whatever his mind was bringing up. She canted her head to the side, ears arching almost eagerly as his deep voice started again. It was playful and her tail swished in response, something she could not control. Most kept themselves so polite because of her rank. Another difference with this male. She rolled his name, and then his nickname around in her mind, wondering which would be more familiar against her tongue. But he seemed to prefer the nickname and since he had decided to call her Minou, she would call him Rey. He had requested and she decided it had a better sound. It match his more...male appearance and voice. Sorey sounded a little feminine really. She kept that little thought to herself and shuffled it away as he spoke again.
She smiled lightly, just a flirting of the expression over her elegant face. He hadn't taken her words bad and that pleased her. She didn't want to sound rude or come across wrong. But he didn't seem like the touchy type of male. At least from what she could tell now. But it still remained to be seen his real personality, but she was pretty sure he was not a vicious brute unless provoked. His mind felt warm and welcoming, smooth. She shook her head and noted his sudden...hesitant, she guessed was an okay word, tone. She felt a sudden nervousness, a twitchy feeling, unsure of what he was about to ask. And then he did and she settled gain, her expression so unchanged that something had to be wrong with her. Had to be a change she was suppressing. She shook her head before she replied, tones seemingly easy. "There are as of yet, no alphas. Our last alpha...dissapeared, and I took over the pack. I do not wish to leave them waiting for someone that may not return. And there is a female here I am thinking will become a very good leader, though she knows it not yet," she said, a softening in her face showing her opinion of the female. She then continued on.
