Name: Ithaca [pronounced Ith-uh-kuh; emphasis on first syllable]
Nicknames: None. (Unless you're stupid, don't call her a nickname. She's proud of her name and if you call her anything else she'll probably take it as an insult).
Age: 3.5 years
Gender: Female
Desired Pack: Misuteriasu Mountains
Desired Rank: Lead Warrior (if there is such thing)
Looks: Ithaca is a very lean wolf. She looks small from a distance, but is actually very tall. She reaches thirty-nine inches in shoulder height, and five and a half feet in length. She's about 89-92 pounds, but that's not for certain. (Ithaca is a Great Plains Wolf). She has a thinner coat than most wolves which helps her run faster than others. Her pelt is a reddish-brown. Her inner ears, paws, and face are a golden-tan color. Ithaca's paws are rather large. Her foot pads are a raspberry color, as well as her underbelly. On various parts of her fur, like her chest, back of neck, tail, etc., is a tint of raspberry. Her chest and the back of her neck are the thickest parts of her coat. She has some feathering on her front two paws, which is mostly a raspberry color, along with some tan and reddish-brown. Her coat is very soft and smooth. Since she's rather tall, her legs are very long and thin. Her tail is long and fluffy but thin. Ithaca keeps her brown claws very sharp as well as her teeth. Her snout is rather petite and her brown nose is small but pointy. Although she has a very thin coat, there is much fur in her inner ears, making both the inside and outside of them very fuzzy. Ithaca has a very curvaceous figure making her physically attractive to many male wolves.
Power: Ithaca’s power is to leave no trace/scent. This makes her an exceptional tracker, hunter, and fighter. For example, if she is tracking another wolf, the only way that wolf would know is if he saw or heard her. Her scent is invisible to all other wolves. It's kind of like if a wolf were to jump into water to make their scent disappear, but with Ithaca she doesn't need water. Her scent is nonexistent. Within this power, her tracks also become nonexistent, that way no wolves can follow her. This power makes Ithaca very stealthy. She is very quiet when hunting to begin with, but with her power her prey will not be able to pick up her scent or see her tracks. Leaving no trace or scent makes Ithaca a very good ambush-err. Oftentimes, this power saves her when she gets herself in the middle of a hard place and a rock. Too often does Ithaca snap at someone she shouldn't (whether that is through talking, or literally snap her jaws at them), and she needs to get out of that place as soon as possible. Since she's fast to begin with, once she's out of sight and sound, the wolf pursuing her will lose her. (She's known of this power since her birth).
Eyes: Ithaca has very intense eyes. From far away, her eyes look a deep auburn. But if another wolf earned her trust, that wolf might be able to see the true intricacy of her eyes. From the middle out, they portray a deep wine color, like Merlot, mixing into a nice mahogany. The pupil is a charcoal black, and it's very small....it's so easy to become trapped in the maze of her eyes. (Again, another part of her physical beauty).
Wings: Ithaca has no wings but doesn't really care. She likes being what she calls, "a real wolf", and with her speed and power "wings" are unneeded in her book. In fact, she believes that they would slow her down.
Personality: From a distance, Ithaca looks very timid and submissive, but she is far from that. Living as a loner for a while, she is a very fiery individual. Ithaca is a magnificent hunter, as she can outrun nearly any creature. Although she has large paws, she is extremely quiet, which aides her hunting abilities. Ithaca is also very meticulous- noticing every detail. Ithaca is an experienced tracker. She can track better than she can hunt or fight. Still quite young, she prefers being alone or in a quiet place. Nevertheless, there is a motherly side to her that is rarely uncovered. Upon first meeting Ithaca, she might seem very guarded and unfriendly, but in time she can become a very good friend- although she doesn't show her feelings or listen to others' problems very well. Ithaca can do fine as a loner, as hunting is no problem for her and she prefers solitude. However, she likes the idea of being a part of a pack- it gives her something to care about and be proud of. Once she's a part of a pack, no matter what position she is she usually is very protective of her pack and will defend it no matter what.
The only other thing that Ithaca would dare fight for is her mate: Jarre. Usually she's not in the same pack as him (as they usually get in fights if they stay near each other for too long a time), but he's never too far away from her, as he is extremely protective over his wild mate. But Ithaca has a very short fuse. If you get on her bad side, she'll snap your head off (no, literally!). But her short fuse tends to get her in trouble sometimes. Generally speaking, she's very respectful to her superiors, but she often has "personality clashes". Oftentimes wolves either hate, love, or just deal with Ithaca. As for being "physically attractive", of course she's proud of that, but she doesn't milk it. Ithaca isn't one to stare at herself all day or continuously lick herself to stay clean. She's a very wild wolf and if her pelt is clean, it's clean. If it's dirty, it's dirty. She really couldn't care. Although, she does enjoy watching male wolves who hate her stare at her beauty; as well as watching females who hate her look at her jealously, wishing they could be as naturally beautiful. Because Ithaca's small and slender, most wolves upon first look at her think she'd be an easy fight and they could take her down easily. However, they don't see her key fighting techniques: her quick reflexes and the fact that she is little and slender and can move faster than many wolves. Her big paws also aid in fights, and she's got a ferocious bite. Not to mention, her excellent endurance- she rarely gives up in a fight.
History: Ithaca was raised in a small pack- only about five wolves including her. They were always on the move, so they never really had a "home". Her pack was never really "home-y" either; they were a very fierce and merciless pack. She lived with her mother: Artanya (the Beta), half-brother: Jouhs, the Alpha: Hokkaido, and her aunt: Teyra. Her biological father had been a rogue that she'd never met. Upon learning that she was not his offspring, the Alpha of the pack shunned Ithaca. Since their pack was built on lies, mistrust, and vengeance against each other, it is understandable how it terminated. Her half-brother, Jouhs, nearly six at the time, challenged Hokkaido (his father) when she was only two. After about a day of fighting, the Alpha knew he was losing and ran off with Teyra. Angry that he'd not killed his father who he detested, Jouhs ran after them, hunting them. It is not known whether he found them or not.
Since Ithaca and her mom were left to fend for themselves, they moved on. Still, the two never found a "home" but instead wandered aimlessly from land to land, careful to not enter any claimed territories. Ithaca's desire for solitude and ease at being alone came from her mother. However, her mother did not have the hunting or fighting abilities of Ithaca. After two months of living on their own, a young rogue challenged them. He wanted them to make a pack with him, but they refused. He attacked Ithaca's mom, and after a fierce fight that almost took her life, she surrendered. Ithaca, however, ran away. She kept an eye on the rogue, trying to find a good time to steal her mother back (her mother was all she had left). Although Ithaca and Artanya never had a really close relationship, they did love each other. Ithaca was also very protective of her mother since Artanya possessed no power. Experienced in deception because of her pack's way of life and her stealthy power, she was successful one night and led her mother far away from him. But as soon as he found out, he was furious. The rogue, whose name is also unknown, desperately wanted revenge on Ithaca, but could not trace her scent. When Ithaca went on a hunt by herself one morning, she returned to their current home to find her mother dead. The rogue's scent was all over the body. It was apparent that he had instead followed Artanya's scent and took revenge on Ithaca by murdering her. Filled with grief and anger, Ithaca fled far away. Her past has made her what she is today. You can see now why she prefers solitude and why she is partial to many male wolves.
Months later while she was still living as a loner, still angry and thirsty for revenge, she came across Jarre (her future mate) while hunting. She nearly killed him as she often did with males, but his joking and charming personality caught her off guard. She ended up sparing him but moving on. Nevertheless, he stayed near her, he'd come and go now and then. Many times he'd make her feel better if she was having a bad day. Although Ithaca would like to deny it, she enjoyed having Jarre around. He was such the opposite of her she couldn't help but love him. After a month or two of Jarre's uninvited-but-starting-to-welcome company, Ithaca got in a fight with a rogue. It wasn't the rogue who'd murdered her mother, but it had quite the same attitude. Sure enough she could've beat him in the fight, but it was an intense fight and he was a skilled fighter. Without asking, Jarre jumped in and growled intensely at the male. He defended Ithaca as a male would defend his mate. Thinking that the two were mates, and seeing Jarre's huge size, the rogue backed down and ran off. At first, Ithaca was upset that Jarre had joined in. She didn't want help. She liked to fight her own battles. But after thinking about the situation, Ithaca became very proud that he dared to help her. It meant...he cared. He wanted her. Not because she was physically attractive but because he liked who she was. Needless to say, the two soon became mates and traveled together. But since they were so opposite, they'd often fight and separate. Whenever Ithaca looks to join a new pack, Jarre isn't far outside the territory lines, within howling range...always ready to run to protect her or be there to pick her up when the pack can't stand her any longer.
Other: Although she doesn't know of his existence, Ithaca has a fraternal twin brother named Castor. Also, if one was to put a "theme song" to Ithaca, the song would be: "You Can't Take Me" by Bryan Adams. One more thing, Ithaca usually forms a strong hatred with males from the moment she sees them. It usually takes a while for her to look at them without judgement.
Parent Description: Artanya was Ithaca's mother. She looked almost exactly like Ithaca, just a little bit smaller in stature and had smaller paws. Also, instead of a raspberry tint and reddish-brown coloring like Ithaca, Artanya had an orange tint and light brown coloring. Her eyes looked like sunshine-yellow but if one were to see them up close; it'd see that they also had an orange tint to it. She was very timid and weak. She possessed no power. However, she is now deceased. There is nothing known about Ithaca's father, except that he was a wandering rogue. It is thought that he was a much more muscular and bulky wolf. Also that he was very strong and hard-headed, which would explain Ithaca's personality. There is talk that he had a plain grey pelt and piercing green eyes. But of course, none of this is certain. No one knows whether he possessed a power or not. Whether he is currently living or not is a mystery. His name is unknown for Artanya rarely spoke of him.
Mate: Jarre
Pups: None- she has little interest in pups.
Zodiac Sign: Taurus
Nicknames: None. (Unless you're stupid, don't call her a nickname. She's proud of her name and if you call her anything else she'll probably take it as an insult).
