Whats your favorite? how did you find out about? Please no Flaming, I can't stand it! ;D Well I don't need to say much! My favorite HAS to be FullMetal Alchemist, because the characters are well designed, how they look, and personality too. They have weak spots and aren't immortal. I found when my sister showed it to me, because someone on the BBA had a siggy full of FMA. Funny thing is, a watched an episode that had a reaction (Yes, it's got truck loads of science in it) which goes like: Sodium+Water= big boom when Ed turns his arm into sodium (Yes, one is metal) and stabs a Homunculi (His fake dead mother) which she goes boom Turns out we did that same experiment in A Science lesson

Hmmm, your favorite is FMA? Gee, I couldn't tell...
Well back when it first came out, my favorite Anime was Inuyasha. I can't really say when I first 'heard' of it. I think I stayed up real late one night watching Adult Swim and CartoonNetwork and ended up taking a liking to it. I watched the first and second seasons and a few of the movies, but the series kinda got old fast. It mostly seems to be the same mini-plots over and over again, not exactly well-collaborated. Although I would not consider myself a "fan", I still do like the major plot and idea that the series presented. The ancient world of Demons vs. Humans tickled my fancy, and still does. I imagine that if I was any sort of demon, I would be a Coyote-demon. I would be tricky like a fox demon, but strong and beastly like a wolf demon. My favorite part of the series was the dynamics between the main characters and the humor that it caused. The funniest had to be the monk, Miroku, who was an extreme pervert, had very grabby hands when it came to a female character in the group, Sango, and asked every single woman he came in contact with to 'bear his child'. If that's not funny, I'm not sure what is...
Other than that, I never really watched any other Anime show. Although I have seen a few episodes of FMA. The show seemed interesting, I like the fact that Ed's younger brother (who is sweet and kind-natured) was this huge bad-ass robot guy. I never watched the first episodes though, so I never really understood the entire thing. [/blockquote]

I have a lot of favorites. My first love I believe, was Inuyasha just like Punk. xP I got into by making friends with a girl who drew it all the time. I've always had a weird fascination by anything not fully human, and the idea of animal aspects has run both my reading and artistic nature. I still have a soft spot for it and will watch it any chance I get, but it did get sorta annoying with all the 'Inuyasha!"ing. But I still love the different characters and overabundance of villains and the unwilling hero idea.
Another of my favorites I found of course was Full Metal Alchemist. Staying up to watch Inuyasha led me to FMA. I agree with Windrush. The characters are so very real, with their mistakes and flaws. And the ending is not happy, nor is it perfect. I like endings with meaning and are sort of sad. FMA gives that. It's also humorous in the areas that make the show not so boring. The constant references to Ed's short stature are amusing in ways I can't describe.
One of the only mangas I've read through all the way and a show I love is Rurouni Kenshin [ Samurai X ]. Kenshin isn't a half animal, but he has a dark side and I love that it's hidden behind a handsome face and a want to be good. Plus, it has sword fighting. And weird malformed evil people who look evil. lol
These are mine xP

Was Rurouni Kenshin the older Anime with the guy with the scar on his face? I seem to remember watching something like that when I was younger but having it turned off buy grandma because it was "too terrible" for young eyes. I never could remember the name of that show, but "Ruroni Kenshin" rang a small bell in the back of my mind, and now I'm curious..." [/blockquote]

Wow, I totally forgot about Pokemon. I'm somewhat of a fan, but I feel that it's kinda' got out of control. I mean, they've created a nose-pokemon. A nose-pokemon, really? I think that they just should have stuck with the original and the Johto pokemon. (Johto pokemon ROCK!!!) Well, anyways... ...I've played all the different games for gameboy and gameboy advanced, and when they first were popular, I totally was nuts for the trading cards! I swear I've got more than 1,000 of them, even though I stopped collecting them ages ago. Actually, back when I was in elementary school, the school board had them banned because too many kids were getting into fist-fights over the trading cards! I look back and laugh because after they were banned, trading pokemon cards became the black market of my elementary school. It was like buying and selling drugs now that I look back, we'd meet by a locker and look to make sure that there were no teachers, then make a quick trade and walk away looking all innocent. It was a blast! I never really got into the television series though, Ash's voice was always to nasally for me.
