I know that I'm brand new to the site, but I have a suggestion for it. You see, I come from a different roleplay host known as Acornrack. If any of you are familiar with the now-defunct Avidgamers, Acornrack is extremely similar. There is a greater amount of versatility at AR than there is in Invisionfree or Proboards, as well as a greater oppertunity to show off graphical skills (this would be fitting for a site like this, since whoever is doing the graphics is doing a damn amazing job!). Anyways, I'm just suggesting that you guys look into hosting Aelyn there. It would allow for a more organized layout, as well as new potential users from Acornrack. Here are some examples of wolf roleplays on Acornrack, just so you can see what I'm talking about layout-wise. I wouldn't suggest joining them, though. Acornrack's existing wolf roleplays are notoriously full of drama, most likely because they recycle the same dramatic users/admins each time a new one opens. That's why I'm here, in fact. www.acornrack.com/TM/www.acornrack.com/dout/taiyae.acornrack.com/testpagewww.acornrack.com/starcave/

Thanks for the suggestion but I'm not the admin so I can't offer any ideas really. But hosting by Proboards has a huge field of members to choose from, while I've seen on websites hosted on other sites does not attract as many. I can see the benefits, however I can also see the faults.
Those examples are very lovely. I do the graphics here - well most of them dealing with skins - and I love gazing upon other works xP. I don't know really what to say since it's not my decision or my place to give a real idea either way. :]

Very interesting, I'd love to have a unique look for Aelyn, something totally different from what Proboards limits us to. But I do see Ker's point. It seems that once members begin using proboard sites they become so comfortable that other host sites tend to not see as much action. I might just make my own page just to play with layouts and coding. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

I think those all look amazing. While I'm used to Proboards, I wouldn't object to a new site, but what would have to happen is a staff vote that would then be taken to the membership. Moving sites can sometimes be a good thing and a bad thing... and from my experience is usually done when the previous site has died... as Aelyn is still alive and kicking, I almost wonder if switching servers at the moment would be a bad idea.
However, I might also go with Punkwolf's idea and play around to see what I can figure out and potentially come up with something later.

I see what you mean about the activity, it could turn out either really well or horribly. One of the things that AR has that attracts members is an advertising board, which works out really well. There are some extremely successful sites on AR because of it. Here's the link to the ad board if you're curious: ar2.acornrack.com/threads/forum-2028-1-1261254919One of the downsides of Acornrack is the fact that the coding is a hell of a lot harder to do.

I don't think coding will be that much of a problem, should we ever decide to move the board.

Coding is fun to me and since Punk seems to like it to, we'll all figure something out. :]
The options for graphics look amazing though.
