Stumbling upon the Toko Forest Packland was probably the best thing that ever happened to Solitude the Serene; daughter of the infamous Harbinger and the beautiful fae Faithless from the Misuteriasu Pack. Another good thing was leaving that pack granted both her and her mother safety. Solitude was well renown in that pack for not supporting Lucid's evil plots that spread across Aelyn. Even though she feared for her mother's life since she was once a prominent member of Misuteriasu, she knew that Lucid respected Faithless since she was the mate of Harbinger---a brute who shared similar interests as him.
Solitude rested herself against the cool trunk of a leafless oak tree, her long fur flowing despite the intense chill in the winter air. In the night the hue of her changing colors seemed to glower against the snow around her like the aurora borealis. Even though the mystery of her pelt eluded her, she could not help but to admire its beauty, after all every other wolf was enamored by the sight of her. Of course that must really make her father proud. Solitude was the perfect pup; beautiful, strong, fast, agile, but lacking in what Harbinger actually wanted---a wolf willing to be a killing machine just like him. For the longest time Solitude admired her father's strength and charisma; however, when she discovered how awful of a killing machine he was she could not love him as she once had. Now all of Solitude's care was invested in her mother.
Solitude sat and prodded at the snow around her, waiting for pretty much nothing. She loved waiting around, patience was her shining quality.

Nayeli slowly opened her eyes and uncurled herself. She yawned and stetched. She walked out of her small den and into the snow. It was beautiful. She sat at the enterance of her small den before slowly moving out. She shivered at first before getting use to the cold. She needed to put on some fat. The Toko Forest Pack had taken a runt like her in. She wasn't sure if they would accept a little runt like her but they did. That was a few days ago and now she was a memeber of this pack. A young member but a memember. She would help them some how.
She realized that it was now dark outside. She had slept the day away without realizing it. She shook her head and frowned. She would find away to make it up. She didn't want to bother anyone in the pack and let them alone. She looked around before jumping about and playing in the snow. She liked the feel and the crunch of it under her paws. It felt different. She liked it. She thought that maybe she should have been born with the power of snow or water rather than light.
Her right paw hit a root that was hidden below the snow and sent her tumbling head over her heels. She closed her eyes and waited for it to stop. She opened them. She was on her back wth all four paws up in air. She looked to her right and saw a fae sitting there next to a tree. She quickly righted herself and looked down. She had yet to meet everyone from the pack. She didn't know this fae but her coat was pretty. It reminded her of when she created the colored balls of light. She finally looked up at the fae and smiled ever so slightly.

Solitude turned her gaze toward the pup and raised a curious eye brow. She was always considered as rather petite, but this little wolf seemed quite small---although she was adorable. Solitude could tell that she was fascinated by her pelt, the usual response she got from younger wolves...well all wolves in general. Generally Solitude preferred maintaining her distance in regard to pups; their unstable minds tend to frustrate her---often disrupting her sense of serenity her mind was always under. Swiftly yet silently Solitude rose to her feet and approached the pup, casting her mysterious glower upon her silvery-gray fur. Solitude's large ears flopped and her fluffy tail swayed behind her like a cloud of phosphorescent fog.
"Greetings, who might you be?" [/color] Solitude remained emotionless with her expression; however she made sure she maintained a sense of kindness in her voice. She didn't want to appear rude. While waiting for a response Solitude carefully scanned this wolf and notice how malnourished she was---no doubt the main contributing factor as to why she was so delicate and small. It wasn't often Solitude felt pity, but she did for this innocent puppy---she could only imagine what had taken place in her past. Thankfully Solitude's speciality dealt with seeing the future and not what had passed. Granted part of the fae believed that seeing any other part of time outside of the present was uncalled for. But unfortunately she could not revoke her own inherited powers of foresight. [/blockquote]

Nayeli watched the fae. She hadn't meant to interupt whatever the fae was doing. She hadn't know if anyone had a mean temper liker her father, older brother and sister. She hoped not. She didn't want to get beaten or hurt. She didn't have her mother or Niyol to protect her like they normally would. She didn't look the fae in the eye but focused on her beautiful coat. She stepped back a little when the fae came toward her. Everyone was so big comparaed to her even if she was a pup. She backed up a bit.
She looked quickly up at the fae then back down. "N..n...nay..nayeli, ma'am." She stuttered softly. She fae sounded nice and wasn't mad at her for interupting what ever she was doing. She looked up slightly and smiled a little. Maybe ths fae would be nice. She wasn't sure. She looked back at the coat. She wondered if she could copy the way the colors changed and shifted with her balls of light. She would have to try it later.
She heard her stomach growl loudly. Her ears drooped down and she looked away. She had slept the day away and missed any meal the pack might of had. She didn't know why she was so tired. She had gotten as much energy back as she could when she got here. She sighed and looked up at the fae. "M..ma..ma'am.., w..what..is...your...n...name?" Her voice barely above a whisper. If it wasn't such a quiet nigth her voice would have been lost to the sounds of the forest.

ooc: Great post! You might want to make your dialogue a different color like mine, something unique to Nayeli. I'll come up with a reply very soon, perhaps now or tomorrow.

Solitude cocked her head to the side and noticed the hungering pain and fear in her eyes. Never before had the fae cast fear upon another wolf like Nayeli. While she could not understand, Solitude was not going to discriminate her for her peculiar uncertainty. Hoping to give Nayeli some sense of calm, Solitude trotted over and sat next to her in the snow. It was true that Nayeli reminded her of one of the other wolves she knew as a child---the social reject of the Misuteriasu Packlands. Solitude could remember feeling pity for the poor wolf until she learned how to control her emotions completely. Pity was something she rarely felt nowadays, granted the current situation seemed to prove her wrong. Solitude turned to her and introduced herself softly.
"My name is Solitude. Why do you seem so afraid of talking to me, Nayeli?" Solitude whispered, hoping to gain some sort of understanding of the pup. Her long fur rustled in the snowy wind as she waited for a response. "Tell me about yourself."
Something really intrigued her about the wolf, there was something about her that seemed familiar---hidden potential reached out and slapped Solitude in the face. A small part of her desperately wanted to touch her and get a premonition...well hope to get a premonition. This pup's future was no doubt going to be interesting. Solitude rested her tail against the packed snow and observed the glistening particles closely as she continued to patiently wait. If there was anything she didn't want, it was to rush Nayeli.

Nayeli didn't expect the fae to come over and sit by her. She looked up at the fae then down at the snow. The snow seemed to reflect the light the fae gave off. So, Solitude was the fae's name. She guessed it fit since Solitude was out here all on her own and she had inturped her. She didn't mean to. Her ears drooped a little. She wasn't scared to speak but she didn't speak speak much. "I...I...d..don't..speak...m...much." She almost as softly as before.
She looked at Solitude. She wondered if she should say where she was from or about her family. She looked down, deep in thought. She heard her stomach again. She looked up at Solitude, she sort of reminded her of her mother. "I...I'm...o..one..of..f..four..pups. I'm...th..the..r..runt." That explained why she was so small and thin. The runt of the litter hardly ever got enough food. "M..my...father...and...brother...sister...didn't...like..me. I..I'm..w..weak. O...Only...mother...and...twin..brother..loved me...." She missed them so much. She looked up at the sky and saw the stars that she had her brother had picked out as their favorites one night after her older brother and sister had played to harshly with her leaving her with several new cuts that would turn into scars. She took a deep breath. "G...got...sw..swept..a..away..from...my...mother...in..r..river."
She had tears rolling down her cheeks when she thought of the day that she lost her family, more so her twin brother and mother. "I...miss...Niyol."She.spoke soflty like she had done before while she spoke. Her voice just over a whisper and would have been easily drowned out if there were others sounds around. She looked up at Solitude. Would she consider her weak

Solitude's eyes shifted as she listened to Nayeli's intense history. She could see the pain in the pups eyes while she lingered on the thought of her harsh treatment from her father and siblings. While Solitude did go through a rather tumultuous life, she was gifted with beauty beyond the wildest imagination, and she had strong proud parents who adored her at one point in her life---Nayeli did not have that at all and for some reason that bothered her. Solitude was not a mother, but some deep instinct made her want to take care of this innocent wolf and give her some sense of stability in her life. Solitude's drive to care for Nayeli sky-rocketed when her acute audits caught the sound of her stomach growling.
"You aren't weak because you are small. Your size makes you unique, Nayeli." Solitude nodded logically before brushing some of the caked snow off from Nayeli's fur with her tail. Before she'd make any decisions the shimmering fae wanted to get to know this mysterious pup a little more.
"So you got taken away from your family by a river? What pack are you native to? Perhaps we could find your mother and twin brother?" Solitude positively presented a logical course of action that she hoped would give Nayeli a bit of hope. "We should be friends, you seem lonely---I know how loneliness feels." Solitude pondered on the idea that her father had abandoned her, she at least knew how that felt. That sense of loss was nearly overwhelming, even at the extent of Solitude's emotional control.

Nayeli never heard another wolf say that to her before. Just her mother would say that when she had been treated to roughly by her father and siblings. She really missed her mom. "M..mother...use..t..to..s..say..that...to..me..a..all..the..t..time." She smiled a little. Solitude really reminded her of her mother. At least her eyes did in a way. She relaxed even more when Solitude was nice enough to knock off some snow that had caked on to her fur with her tail.
She nodded to Solitude about getting swept away by the river. She had been. She didn't know what pack she was from. "I..I...do..don't...know...pack..." She wished she could find her mother and twin brother but she hand't found them and they would be long gone. "N..not...sure..where...to..look." She said softly. She had no clue where her father had gone with her mother and siblings. She knew that they were traveling far and that they had to cross a river but she didn't know where it was. She was carried by her mother most of the time. She was sure where that was. "F..father...took...m..mother,..b..brothers...and...s..sister...far...a..away." She said softly.
She looked up at Solitude and nodded. "Y..yes.." She liked the sound of having a friend and Solitude remined her of her mother and for some reason that made her feel safe with her and a little more at ease. She stood up and shook off some more snow. "F..friends." She smiled and wagged her tail a little. It was nice to have a friend now.

Solitude's heart rose into her throat as she listened to the pitiful innocent voice of Nayeli recapping her past, and reacting to the emotion of each image in her memory. The three year old ethereal fae could not believe all the experiences this poor pup had gone through up until that point. It was absolutely awful: no family, no friends, nothing but a painful memory. Solitude was full of painful memories of her own, but she never faced the idea of being abandoned by her ENTIRE family---yeah her dad left but she got used to being without him at an age older than Nayeli's ripe digit. Even though Solitude seemed caught up in that thought, she could not help but to be perplexed as to why Nayeli could not remember the basic appearance of the land she came from.
"Well I'm glad you trust me enough to consider me a friend. I think you need a friend...it is not logical for a young pup of your age to not have any comrades out here in the forests. It can be dangerous!" Solitude exclaimed as she brushed more snow off from Nayeli's fur. "Do you remember what your packland looked like? Was there trees? Or mountains, or swams....rivers?"
Solitude could not help but to be curious. She wanted some form of idea so she could assist Nayeli in finding her family, or at least talking some logical sense into them. Solitude despised parents who abandon their pups, it wasn't fair and she definitely knew how it felt.

Nayeli looked up at Solitude. She shook her head. She had only one friend and that was her twin brother. Her head hung sort of low and her ears drooped. "Ni..Niyol...my..only...friend." She explained. For some reason she remembered not many wolves in her pack. Mostly her mom, dad and sibling. She sort of remember another wolf that would come by but she didn't know him that well. She did remember what he looked like. "I..re..remember..an..another..wolf. He..was..r..really..b..big..all...black..and....had..red..m..markings..on...his..legs..and head...w..with...p..purple..eyes.." She ddn't know him but she knew it must have meant something. "I...saw..him..once...or..twice. F..father...didn't..l..like..him." That much she did remember. She never knew why. She just knew her father didn't like that wolf for some reason.
She smiled at Solitude when she brushed more snow off her fur. It was nice. It more kindess than she had seeni her short life. She stared out at the snow and thought about the packland what was it like. She closed her eyes and thought about it. "I..re..remember..l..lots..and...lots...of..trees..and..a..s..stream..that...was..al..always..cold...and..a..big..ice...th..thing...that..f..fed..it." She remember seeing it with Niyol and her mother once when they went for a drink.
She remembered the smell and the scents of her home but it brought back very painful memories of her father beating her and her siblings hurting her. She opened her eyes and blinked back tears. She looked up at Solitude and whimpered a little. She knew her father had no feelings for her and would think of her as dead as soon as the river swept her away. She looked down at the snow. She had tears rolling down her cheeks. She just knew that they weren't going to be loooking for her hurt. She knew that Niyol would be the subject of her father's beatings because he was the weakest beside her.

Solitude stared out across the snowy forest and took a deep sigh. This was one of the first moments in her life where she was tempted to use her power of foresight in order to somehow sense Nayeli's future, but she knew that couldn't happen. Solitude often was bombarded with such visions when she least expected, so touching Nayeli didn't trigger any---they had to come to her naturally. Solitude truly pitied Nayeli's poor family life, no pup should have to suffer an intolerant and heartless family. Even though she was alone now, the fae knew that the pup was in a better place. Solitude knew she could guide this wolf into a new life filled with more positivity. At least Nayeli could remember various aspects of the land she came from. The water and trees sounded a lot like the Fukai Waterfalls. This gave Solitude some leeway.
"What you describe sounds a lot like the Fukai Waterfall region. Do you think that maybe your brother is still there? Either way your family has to be somewhere in Aelyn. I'm sure you want to find Niyol, don't you?" Solitude commented positively, trying to brighten Nayeli's mood a bit. "I know you are sad young'n, but if you really want to find your brother you need to try your hardest to remember more details. Perhaps I can help you find them, I have friends in high places---and I used to be one of the most prominent wolves in the mountains."
Solitude shuttered a bit while thinking of how prominent she was in the Misuteriasu region. So many eyes peered at her and ogled her ethereal beauty. If it weren't for her mother or her father, she had no doubt that wolves such as Lucid would take advantage of her. Quickly though, Solitude shook away that thought and concentrated back on Nayeli.

Nayeli looked up at Solitude. That names sounded familiar. She thought about it. Her mother mentioned it once. "M..mother..said..that...name..o..once..be..before...we...left." She wasn't sure about anything else. She knew that her mother would carry her often and she would sleep most of the time. She thought about it. She remember seeing a big waterfall when she was very little. "I..saw..big..falls..when..I..w..was..sm..small." She thought of anything else that she could add to it. "Big..rocks..and..m..many..of..them.." That was all she could remember. She thought about Niyol. She wanted to be with him so much but the fear of her father beating her made her shiver. She didn't want to go back to him. She wanted to find her mother and twin brother but not her father. She never wanted to see him again or her older brother and sister. They would just hurt her.
She thought about it and shook her head. "Niyol...b..better...w..with...o..out..m..me." She spoke softly, her head hung low. "He..i..is..st..stronger..than..me.." She was really shivering at this point. She was being so weak right now. Her father would be beating her at this point. "C..can't..go..back. F..father...w..will..hurt...me.." She hated to admit that she would give up finding Niyol to protect herself. She didn't want to but she couldn't stop herself from doing so. She looked up at Solitude before moving closer and burying her head into Solitudes soft fur. It smelled similar to her mother's. She whimpered at the thought. "I...I'm..t..to.weak..to..f..find..Niyol. I..I..want..t..to..k..keep...m...m..myself...She said soflty, not being able to finish speaking.

Solitude allowed Nayeli to cuddle up into her pelt warmly. Her fluffy tail curled around the pup and held her close, so that the warmth from her body provided adequate comfort for her. Even though Solitude was not an empath she could clearly detect a sense of apathy and uncertainty in Nayeli's jumbled words. The pup must have had traumatizing experiences in order to be so discouraged. Was her brother being beaten by his father, and was he better off not being around Nayeli? It also pained Solitude to hear Nayeli down-grade her own strength and ability, no wolf should think so lowly of themselves.
"Why do you think you are so weak? I see a lot of potential in you, you just need a good meal and a nice warm sleep. I want you to know that I see a lot in you, Nayeli. No matter how much your family thought you were a weak runt, I don't think that at all. You are well fit for your age, you just need the necessities." Solitude spoke while smiling, hoping to brighten Nayeli's saddened mood.
"I'll help you find your brother, Nayeli. You need him, and I'm sure he needs you. Who knows, maybe he's staring at the stars along with us right now, ever think of that? Maybe he's thinking of his long lost sister that he misses dearly?" Solitude gazed up toward the starry sky and admired the beautiful sparkles in the heavens. She only hoped that the Ancestors were going to smile down upon Nayeli during her time of need---no pup should have to suffer as she has.

Nayeli cried and snuggled her head into Solitudes fur more when Solitudes tail curled around her and held her closer to her. It felt so nice to be warm. Her tears finally slowed to a stop and then she just sat there with her head resting on Solitude. She rubbed her head along the soft fur and took in her scent. It remeinded her of her mothers' scent. She felt safe with Solitude there. She hiccuped a little and looked up at Solitude.
She nodded a little. She was weak. She had never heard anyone say that to her. Not even her mother said to her. She smiled up at Solitude. She let out a soft hiccup and smiled. "I..I..n...never...h..heard....th..that...be..before in..m..my..l....life" She felt better now. She was even wagging her taile a bit. She stepped back a little and used her front leg to wipe a few tears from cheeks.
She smiled and nodded. She needed her twin brother. He needed her. She looked up at the stars and frowned a little. She missed him so much. "D..do..y..you..think..th..that..Niyol..m...might...come...with..m..me? I..I..c..can't...go..b..back." She hoped Solitude knew what she meant. She wasn't going back to her father. Her older brother and sister didn't love her and her mother would be alright. She looked up at Solitude. She hoped that Niyol would come back with her.

Solitude felt something within her that she's never realized, some sort of motherly instinct that she had placed on the back burner for such a long time. Despite the warm feeling equated with such maternal instincts, Solitude knew that she was not ready, nor did she want to bear the burden of caring for the young. The prospect seemed extremely intimidating, not to mention unruly. The fae could not simply leave Nayeli out in the cold, or just abandon her like her wretched family did. In fact they were friends, even though there was an age difference Solitude considered this young pup as one of her dearest acquaintances. Solitude's conscience argued with her, presenting several different logical ways of dealing with the situation. Thankfully, the fae did not let her emotions get in the way of her judgment---any regular wolf would be ruled by such maternal emotions. Solitude pondered for several minutes while she allowed Nayeli to cry against her soft fur, it was the least she could do. Ultimately, Solitude did not have any specific friends who could take care of Nayeli; however, her mother suddenly appeared in her mind. Faithless had the experience of raising Solidute, not to mention she knows what it feels like to be mated to a useless and demeaning father. With a smile forming on her face, Solitude turned to Nayeli and nudged her with her tail.
"Hey, do you want to meet someone who's really dear to me?" Solitude whispered, while wiping the tears from the fur around Nayeli's eyes with her muzzle.
The only second thought in Solitude's mind was her mother's choices. What if she didn't want to bear the burden of taking care of another pup? While she would understand said feelings, Solitude knew that she had to persuade her mother some how.

Nayeli felt better after crying. She hadn't cried like that in a long time. Her father would beat her for crying. It was a sign of weakness, he said. She rubbed her head into Solitudes fur wishing that she could just stay here with her. Solitude was so nice and kind and hadn't hurt her at all and even agreed to help her find her brother which she hadn't met a wolf that would do that yet. She sniffled and hiccupped up few times before her tears stopped. She looked up at Solitude. She wasn't sure about meetting someone new. She just wanted to stay here with Solitude but her voice sounded like the wolf might be nice.
She nodded and smiled when Solitude used her muzzle to wipe away what was left of the tears. She fought the urge to lick Solitude back. She wasn't sure if Solitude would let here and simple rubbed her head into Solitudes fur again before taking a few steps back and looking up at the fae. "W..who..are...we..m..meeting?" She wasn't sure who it was and wanted to know who this wolf was that was so dear to Solitude. Maybe a family member like a sister or mother, maybe a dear old friend. She didn't mind males but she liked females better. So, she hoped that whoever Solitude was going to take her to meet was a female.
She looked back up at the sky and promised herself that she'd see Niyol soon. She hoped that he would come with her if her mother said it was ok. She would get Niyol to run away with her if she had to. She hiccupped a few times more before standing up. "W..will..we..g..go..get...Niyol..s..soon?" She wagged her tail a little.

Solitude wore a slight half-smile on her face as she listened to Nayeli's intense curiosity. She could tell that the pup felt better after releasing all of those pent up emotions. Coming to terms with loneliness or the feeling of abandonment was never easy, Solitude had her mother to comfort her when she was abandoned---at least now Nayeli has her to confide in now. Solitude benevolently gazed toward the sky as she thought about her mother, and how she was going to persuade her to take Nayeli in.
"We are going to go meet the fae, Faithless, who is my mother. I doubt you've heard of her since she's been lying low ever since she left the Misuteriasu Packlands. But I honestly think she'll love you." Solitude explained, while trying not to stumble over her words. She was focusing so intention on how she was going to persuade her mother that she nearly got tongue tied. Deep down Solitude felt as though things were moving very quickly when it came to the relationship she recently forged with Nayeli---she had to be careful not to overwhelm herself. She wasn't used to becoming close to individuals that quickly.
"We will find your brother once you get settled in with my mother. After some persuasion I'm sure she'll agree, then we can venture to the Fukai Waterfalls, which I'm sure we'll find him there.." Solitude nuzzle Nayeli gently.
"Come little one, lets go find meet my mother." Solitude rose to her feet and waited for the pup. OOC - So after this post Rysta, post whatever you want with Nayeli (IE: Her thoughts etc) and both her and Solitude will leave and find Faithless. Then after that we can pursue our other plans.

Nayeli smiled. So, it was Solitudes mother that they were going to meet. She hoped that Faithless was just as nice as Solitude. She wasnt sure about making new friends but it was nice. She might even have a family again once they go and find Niyol. They could come back and stay in her den. It was big enough for the both of them and they could be a family again. Just him and her like it should be. She missed him a lot and couldnt wait to see him again.
She noticed that Solitdue seemed to be intent on her meeting Faithless. Maybe Faithless knew where Niyol and her old family was. She hoped so. Settled in? with her mother? She tilted her head to the side then looked down at the ground. Did Solitude not want her too. It seemed no one wanted a pup like her. To small for anything. She sighed and looked up at Solitude and smiled. "I...I..want..t..to..find..Niyol s..soon." She spoke softly. She reacted to the nuzzle that Solitude gave her and smiled. She was tempted to nuzzle Solitdue back to she wasnt sure now that she was going to be pawned off on another wolf.
She nodded and walked after Solitude. She'd get help finding her brother then they would both go back to Toko. They didnt need anyone to look after them. They could be fine on there own. She walked a little behind Solitude since she didnt know where Faithless was and how far it would be. She hoped that she would be able to see Niyol in a day or two then make their way back Toko Forest back on their own. She took a deep breath and remembered to be strong. She wouldn't let on that Solitude that what she had said had really bothered her.
OOC: I hope you dont mind. I thought it would be interesting if little Nayeli took Solitudes words the wrong way. It wont be that way for long. I hope to have Niyol tonight or tomorrow. I managed to catch a cold DX
