The moon shone bright in the sky, reflecting off small rivers and ponds upon the ground. The ponds were still, reflecting the moon like a mirror. It shone upon the remaining leaves, turning them silver. There was no movement, not even small bugs rustled the leaves below. Even the wind seemed to be taking a break. The a sudden shadow flew across the moon, disturbing the the peace. This odd object was almost as black as the night and strange symbols glowed on it's body. This thing, flew with silence, it's wings sliced the open air. The creature circled the icy pond, slowly getting closer to the ground.
The flying object was a wolf, a brute at that. The male wolf landed gracefully, despite his size. He padded over to the pond, each paw step was silent, like he was floating over the ground. He bent his head down to lap the cold water from the pond. His tongue created ripples which distorted the moons' reflection. Snap! Something stirred in the woods. The brute raised his head and ears perked in alarm. 'It was so silent before.' he thought.
He kept looking in the direction, just in case if something walked out from the undergrowth. After a few more minutes the brute lowered his alarm and went back to lapping from the pool. Once he was done, he raised his large head and drank in the scents of the forest around him. The scent of wolf was in the air, and it was strong to. 'I must be near a pack.' he thought. 'I wonder if I could join them, I've been looking for a pack to join?'
Night of no Stars waited patiently, would a wolf find him?

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The beast was walking under the moonlight, its white glow rippling off of his own snow white pelt. The scars that were etched into his skin bulged along with his muscles as he walked. The leaves underneath his paws crunched, making this night a bit noisily. The brute couldn't help it; his mind was lost in thought at his new coming rank, of being alpha. Alpha of this family, his family, and a wolf smirk spread itself across his muzzle. Happiness soared in his heart, and he wanted to leap out for joy. He wanted to play like a pup. Chuckling, he swiftly leapt over a fallen log, his mind now clear of all thoughts. Peering up, his emerald hues met the moon's grace, and his ears grew erect. His muzzle lifted, and he was going to howl to the moon of his happiness, but something stopped him.
An unknown scent of a wolf.
Growling a bit to himself, his head turned towards the direction where it had come from. Another quick sniff and he was off, bounding through the dense forest trees, seeing them clearly as if it was broad daylight. He was careful not to make any noise; his paws seemed to graze over the fallen sticks and leaves. It was as if... he was a ninja wolf, silent as the night. Silent as the stars. Rapidly, he came behind a bush, and he peered through it. His hues landed upona rather large brute with wings. Silently, he emerged, walking towards the wolf, his ears twitching. The stance of the beast was high, strong, and his head was up, his eyes peering down. Muscles bulging, and that scar going down his right eye told alot, if his eyes didn't do that already.
"Welcome, stranger... This is the land of the Toko Pack. What do you need here?" A gentle voice, yet firm. It made it seem like he was less intimidating, if that meant anything to the wolf before him.

After scanning the area around him, Night bent his head down to take another sip from the pond. The steady lapping of his tongue sent ripples across the water's surface. After his drink Night rose his head, a new scent had filled the air. The brute raised his ears, trying to pick up any sounds. Night turned his head to the bushes, where a large white brute stepped out. He held his head high, as well as his tail. 'He must be the alpha,' Night thought. 'or some other form of a higher rank.'
Night looked at the white brute, even though the other wolf could possibly hold a higher rank, the dark brute still held his head high. Night wasn't trying to challenge him, just simply showing the other brute that he isn't weak in any way. Night is a rather large brute, and he knew that, and it looked like the other wolf was sizing him up, but for all he knew, the other brute's mind could be blank. The white wolf spoke after a moments silence. "Welcome, stranger... This is the land of the Toko Pack. What do you need here?" The wolf's words were strong, pushing Night's hypothesis further along.
Night of no Stars thought to himself for a moment. 'A pack, just what I've been looking for. I'm glad I stumbled upon them sooner than later. Let's just hope they're not hostile.' He looked at the white brute, trying to put words together. "Well," Night simply began. "I'm looking for a pack to join, and it seems I have stumbled upon one. So with your permission, alpha, I wish to join your pack."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So, who was this brute? Trying to be big, right? Probably not, but the white creature wasn't in the mood today. Those emerald hues, filled with some wisdom and strength, stared at the other without blinking. The gentle sounds of the stream behind the other was soothing, putting the alpha in a better mood, you can say. Seeing that the other was not threat, his gaze relaxed, the gentleness starting to flow in them. Taking a few paw steps forward, his tail lowered a bit, showing friendliness.
"I'm looking for a pack to join, and it seems I have stumbled upon one. So with your permission, alpha, I wish to join your pack."
Was it like he slurred the word "alpha"? Like I said before, probably not, it's just the white angel was taking everything seriously. It was odd for him; he was so laid-back. Today just wasn't his day, perhaps. The leaves on the trees continued to sway in the breeze, dancing off the bad mood that hung on him like a doornail. "Of course, but answer a question, first." Odd request, wasn't it? The brute flashed a wolf smirk at the other, a fang popped up nonchalantly like this was his regular face. The muscles on him bulged, tensing up, and the scar going down his right eye seemed to pulse like a heart beating. "Who are you?" A simple question, you must think. The tone of voice from the white creature was light, but also firm to the point where he knows where he stands. The ears of his were twitching, seeing if anybody else was around in the area. The only sounds were the water, the birds, and the creatures in the forest. Thank God for Mother Nature, huh?

OOC - Echo said it was ok, but still, I hope you don't mind if I drop Vanya and Akai in : P Btw, I feel like I have to warn you: beware, extra-long post ahead xD VANYA & AKAI A lone black pup wondered around the forest, exploring the surroundings, nuzzling everything in curiosity and chasing everything that moved and was smaller than him. Akai was his name, and he was alone because he had just managed to escape his caretaker’s vigilance. He was sure that she would be furious at him if she found out that he hadn’t stayed where he was supposed to while she hunted for the both of them, which she obviously would given some time. Still, he didn’t really care at the moment since he finally was able to explore the forest as he pleased. Oh how he had longed for such freedom during the last few days, it had been a while since he had last made one of these “exploration trips”. Though the last one hadn’t exactly ended up well; he had had the misfortune of stumbling upon a hungry bobcat and well ... One thing led to another and he ended up being chased by said cat, who probably saw him as a delicious snack. If it hadn’t been for Vanya, his caretaker, intervening at the last moment god knows what would have happened. He cringed at the memory; that was something he certainly didn’t want others to know about, mostly for his pride’s sake.
He quickly discarded the thought as he saw something move near him though. Akai’s ears perked up as he looked in curiosity in that direction. Whatever it was, the thing was just a few feet away from him, and apparently it hadn’t seen the pup yet. With this in mind, he decided then that it would be a good idea to take it by surprise. The pup lowered his body to the ground and crawled in the direction of whatever had moved until he was close enough to jump on it but not for it to notice him. “The thing” turned out to be a squirrel, and it was quite busy burying a few nuts in the forest ground. The young pup waited patiently, this could be his opportunity to apply the basics about hunting that Vanya had already taught him. When the squirrel lowered it’s head to burry the next nut Akai suddenly jumped out of his hiding towards the unsuspecting rodent. The poor thing cried out in fear as it saw the pup rushing in it’s direction and it tried to escape. But Akai was fast for a pup, and soon a heated chase began. He didn’t even give the squirrel the opportunity to climb up a tree as he would grab it’s tail when it was about to so. They ran for quite a while, and Akai wasn’t even paying attention to his surroundings anymore, he was just determined to catch the damn rodent.
As he continued to chase his pray, the pup didn’t realize how far away from where he originally was he had gotten, and of course he didn’t realize that this was how pups usually got lost in big and dense forests like this one. All he cared about for now was his new toy; if he managed to catch this squirrel he could have so much fun. He just kept running after it, but suddenly he saw a blur of white in front of him. Wait, white? ‘What’s th- Oh crap !’. He tried to stop, but he was running at full speed and he was already too close to it, he couldn’t manage it. Everything seemed as if he was going to crash against the big white thing in front of him before he could even put his thoughts in order.
~~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, elsewhere, but not too far away ... ~~~~~~~~~
This couldn’t be happening, how many times had she told the damn brat not to wander around on his own. One would think that after the experience he had the last time he did that he would have learned his lesson. But noo, it seemed that nothing could enter his thick skull. When she had returned with a dead rabbit for them to eat to the hiding place where she had left the pup, he wasn’t there anymore. She didn’t even need to wonder what had happened to him; with his tendency to always get in trouble somehow, it was obvious that he had felt adventurous again. And so, she had had to leave her dear meal there in order to look for the pup.
‘I swear, if he’s being chased by a bobcat again I’ll just let it eat him’, she thought as she growled softly. Oh yeah, Vanya wasn’t happy, in fact, annoyance didn’t even begin to cover what she was feeling at the moment. She was angry. How could someone be so dense? One of these days he would get in some real trouble and she couldn’t always be there to save him. Just remembering last time made her fume. Her hinder leg was still hurting: after all bobcats aren’t docile little things, especially when they’re hungry, and they’re annoyingly agile and sneaky. That particular bobcat had been quite big and vicious, and seeing as she wasn’t the biggest fae around, she had had a bit of trouble facing the feline while she tried to keep it away from the pup at the same time. Of course her control over the Lightning element and her telekinetic power had been a big help to drive it off. She wasn’t unscathed though, and as a result of that fight she now had a gash on her right hinder leg. It wasn’t big, and it had already started to heal, but the slight pain was still there; though it wasn’t nearly enough to stop her.
She figured the best way to find the missing pup was by following his scent, and she knew it wouldn’t be too difficult since he was clumsy and messy and he couldn’t really hide his tracks like she would. So she lowered her head, her muzzle close to the ground as she sniffed the area. Not too long after she found the scent that she knew was Akai’s and she promptly followed it. As she kept advancing she noticed that his scent mixed with another one. ‘He probably was chasing something around ... How strange’, she told herself in a rather sarcastic way. She then wondered if it was possible for a squirrel or a raccoon to eat a pup like Akai, because she would definitively laugh at him like she never had if he was the one being chased again. She turned her attention back to his tracks though, and she kept following them for some time until something made her stop. Due to the intensity of the scent, the pup was obviously near, somewhere. But there was something else, another scent that bothered her. She could tell it belonged to another wolf ... No, not one, there were two of them.
As she kept examining this new scent she could figure that two adult wolves were nearby. It wouldn’t have bothered her in normal circumstances, but then she realized something: what if Akai had stumbled upon them? What if they weren’t friendly? What if the pup was in trouble right now ... As usual? ‘Oh boy ...’, she didn’t think it twice; she rushed in the general direction of the mixed scents.
Eventually two figures were visible in the distance. She approached them quietly, not wanting to be found out. Just as she had expected there were two wolves. But they weren’t just any wolves, they were two big brutes, she could tell that even at the distance she was at. But she couldn’t see Akai anywhere, so she just hoped he was safe somewhere else, for she definitively couldn’t take on two brutes of that size on her own if it came down to it. And of course the only way it could “come down to it” was if any of them happened to be a threat for the pup. OOC - Phew ... There, I finally finished. Sorry for the crazy lenght (again), it seems like I had a muse overload xD And as I said before, if you're not ok with them jumping in just ingore this post. I just felt the need to post with them somewhere xP Edit - Oh, btw, the white thing Akai was about to crash against is Tyrome. Just in case you were wondering xD
The air was silent once more while Night waited for the white brute to reply. Then he spoke. "Of course, but answer a question, first."Night slightly tilted his head in question. He watched the alpha with intrest as a small smirk crossed his face. "Who are you?" A sudden light bukb went off in Night's head. He had forgotten to introduce himself, how rude. He usually remembers to let others know who he is, but tonight that was a fail. The brute had a vision in his head. Night's paw was hitting his forhead and some random narrator was saying 'Coul've had a v8!'This was a kind of inside joke for the brute and at this thought he let out a small chuckle. He suddenly snapped back to real life and he just thought if what the alpha would think of him. The white brute may have thought that Night was laughing at his question. "I'm sorry," he began. "I for got to introduce myself, how rude. I am Night of no Stars, and I hail from..." He suddenly trialed off, not wanting to remember where he came from. The white brite would probably want to ask why he cut off, and if Night had too, he would explain. Waiting for the alpha to reply, Night heard extremely light rustling in the bushes across the pond, he could also smell a new scent too. 'Some other wolf has come to join us.' he thought. 'A fae at that.' He turned to the white brute and asked. "Can you sence the other wolf?"OOC: so I think I used "sence" wrong D: and I was kind of hoping to make Night a great tracker...I forgot to add that in his bio and what not....like he could "sence" other animals presence before most of the others....but that was when he was a pup and now this power has increased....so i'm partially working on a new "full" power for him
Once again shay was on the move, not by paw or wing but by the vectors invisible to the naked eye. She hung limp as they carried her, hurling her form through the air at great speeds while also searching the forest floor for minds she might wish to read. The forest was usually very quite but tonight the creatures had begun to chatter, no coherently to a wolfs ears but coherent enough that she at least knew the subject, a new intruder.
She found her vectors turning her, not by her own control but by the instinct to discover what lies so close to the surface of each new mind. The birds spoke of his silence and the rabbits of his size, she was even so inclined to read the mind of a beetle whom had been close to the scene of the intrusion. The alpha had excepted him far to quickly, Shay would find out just what was on this brutes mind.
Within moments she had reached them, sliding her form right over the mother and landing perfectly in front of the alpha, even she knew that was disrespectful but she wanted to introduce herself. She turned her head towards the new brute only do find herself somewhat startled. The brute looked amazing, his fur seemed like silk with hints of blue in the gorgeous grey, his eyes burned into hers and even from the distance she stood she could see the silver surrounding his pupils. For the second time in all her being she was speechless but it only lasted a moment.
Her vector struck his mind and his conscience flowed into hers. Then with her maw raised high in authority she spoke. “Night of no Stars, my names is Shay and I have come in curiosity. Where have you wandered from?” She knew what had happened and where he had come from and a brief smile crossed her face at the beautiful image of his past and his mother with the heart in her jaws.
