”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry
Sleep like a rock by the stream”
Sleep like a rock by the stream”
”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby
I’ll be with you when you dream”

[/size][/blockquote]xxxxxShe often liked to think that she had gotten over the tragedy that had befallen her. She liked to think that it was the past, and now was the future- she needed to let go. While most of her did, her heart had accepted the fate that had wrapped around her and suffocated her without a moment's thought and her mind had accepted that this was reality now and there was no changing it. But her morals, the deep beliefs that were holed up inside her couldn't let the carnage go. It kept replaying the sight of the dead over and over and over... it was driving her to insanity. She needed to know, she wanted some solace and if that made her selfish, then so be it- but she had to know.
She didn't know quite what to do in this place, and felt a little uneasy and at home at the same time. Her uneasiness came from the silence that seemed to engulf the area and the fact that this was the meeting place for the alphas and others- but curely they would not mind if she was here for a moment to find peace with the past? Her comfort came from the fact that she used to be an alpha, and though they never had meetings quite like what she guessed had transpired here, the power of the pack was all the same.
It was a deep feeling, something that you could never forget once you had it. The rush of power you got from being the top and when everyone knew it- oh, that just sent rushes of adrenaline through your viens. It was easy to see how Lucid had become so power thirsty with the blood of an alpha in his system. She often wondered if this was why she didn't mind having him as an alpha to her.
Tilting her head back, she let out a howl, hoping to call forth an ancestor or a guardian. She just needed to know that they were safe- that she had done all she could for them.
