LYCORIS
I felt like a failure. Really, I did. I mean, here I was, halfway up the mountain, and already half-dead. I miserably crumpled to the ground, and a wall of ice rose up to do my bidding, and blocked the icy wind. I felt sorry for myself. I was trying so hard, but I was so weak. I gritted my teeth as a small surge of hatred for Nero, my split personality, who was always so harsh and demanding. Grudgingly, I admitted she was right, but all the same, she could have been... nicer. Nicer? Is that all I could think of? I thought, as my self-confidence came plummeting down. I was really worthless. "Don't just lay there! Get up and go find the alphas of this place!" Nero said, her voice in my mind. "Or I'll do it for you!" She added. Before I could speak, darkness bubbled over me as Nero forcefully took over my body. "That's much better" She said, and though I could still see through my own eyes and hear, I couldn't feel the soft, powdery snow. I watched as Nero flexed my feet and quickly began moving forward. That's right, she can't use my body for long I thought, gloating over the thought. Then I re focused on what was happening. We were running towards a cave. Well, at least, she was. I struggled for control of my body blindly, as it is not very comfortable to be confined in my mind. Then, we reached the cave, and Nero rested my body in the corner, switching with me. I felt slightly nauseous, but it was normal because I was re-adapting to a bigger space. I let out a sigh, and said "Thank you, Nero" and then muttered under my breath "Yeah right".
