"There’s a hole where my heart once was" DILIVI
”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry Sleep like a rock by the stream” ”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby I’ll be with you when you dream” xxxxx She stretched out all the muscles in her body and her meatless wings expanded, the bones silhouetted against the pale moon that hung, suspended in the sky. What she wouldn't give to fly- if only her wings could lift her from the ground and take her away to where she could forget the memories of her cubs, of her pack. But alas, her wings could never take her to the skies that she longed to hang in with the moon and the sun. She was the thing of nightmares- she was what parents threatened their cubs with to get them to behave. "Go to sleep, lest DILIVI rise from the ground of flames and come to get you." Is what they would tell them. The same thing had been told to her own siblings, her own pack had feared her.
But the pack she had founded with Sabbath had accepted the two wolves who looked like they had risen from beyond hell. In fact, DILIVI had once had a mate... who left, but she favors ignoring that fact in return for remembering the three bundles of joy she had given birth to. But it had all been ripped from under her and now she was falling again. It was if she had been in the sky, and now she was plumeting down and nothing was going to stop her. She was on a course of destruction unless she could find something to hang onto.
Throwing her head back, a song of sorrow seeped from her vocal chords and was released into the soft night air that cracked under her voice. The prey around her that was sleeping was awoken, hearing the frightening sound that came from a nightmare. It rose to a loud, low pitched note and then sharply ended as she ran out of breath after a while. Lowering her head she tried not to let the tears of pain leak from her eyes. Her heart thundered sharply in her chest and she layed down on the frozen earth, her wings tipped with the ice that had slowly frozen onto the bones. And she waited for someone, anyone, to answer her call.

Scampering around the mountain side was where the brute could be found, his snake like tongue slipping in and out of his jaws, his every muscle alert and tense. He was searching, searching for the larger deposits of iron and mercury within the mountains. Each metal was useful in its own way. Iron being the strongest of the metals around here was good for making weapons, or just fighting in general. It took a while to heat and melt and thus could be foraged as good barriers against attacks. Mercury was good poison. Force that down someones throat and they will go completely mad within a a few hours, and die shortly after. Each metal around here had good uses, both mechanical and manipulative. His long dragon-like tail flowed effortlessly behind him, like a snake in the sand continuing its journey without stop until he heard a lonesome howl not too far off. Every muscle hardened and stay still save for his ears that fluttered and flirted with the solo sound that danced to them.
A smirk priced his lips, and his orbs narrowed as new thoughts pulled his mind away from the old. 'Ahh, a new creature disrupts the monotonous sound of winds among MitSuteriaSu..." He looked behind him, as a gush of wind blew him from behind. The air down here was slightly warmer than that of the higher altitudes. It was a harsh winter up there, very nippy and frost-bitten, but down here they only thing that was really a bother was the thick snow. You never knew if there were jagged rocks benighted it, and made every step a second guess. "Sounds like pain." he gridded the word pain between his teeth, his tail starting to sway again. He didn't know if it was appropriate around here for Subordinates to greet new comers, but what if this wolf was to be of harm to the pack? They wouldn't want her to be slinking around the lands doing as she wished; with that Roan pushed through the snow that came up mid-way to his forelegs and followed the lingering howl. He couldn't smell where the female was as the wind was too sheering up his nose, but he remembered which direction the sound had come from and he followed it. ((I dont know where your wolf is at in the land, so ill just leave where he is traveling to vague)) Soon he came to where he could slightly smell the stench of the female. She was down wind of him and this helped his venture. Before long, he came up from behind her, making his approach quiet and muffled under the wind but he knew she would be able to sense him there. He counted on it. His Deep amber eyes looked her up and down holding a fierce tone to them, her wings were a sight that was estrange to him, but he rather liked their style. As he came closer, step by step he could feel her emotions flooding the earth around them. His tongue slipped in and out; even her pain had soiled that of the copper below her. It tasted, tainted. He snorted quietly and shook his large head, flecks of snow flinging from his mane. His eyes continued to look over her body, his judgment was anything but harsh inside his head accept about her pride less whining. He spoke softly, but his tone was demanding and curious,"Fae, why do you come here singing sad songs over an already desolate land?" His brow quirked slightly, his stature towering over her as he closed the gap between them, tail wrapping around his hind-end and legs as he sat. The end of it whisked up and down with the air adding its own mannerisms as it flowed, he was awaiting her first response, hoping it wasn't as treacherous as her calling had been. He wasn't in the mood for a sob story.

"There’s a hole where my heart once was" DILIVI
”Hush now my baby, be still and don’t cry Sleep like a rock by the stream” ”Sleep and remember, this river lullaby I’ll be with you when you dream” xxxxx The snow continued to fall, and somewhere, the shadow using varg knew she could be cold, but she just felt so tired. Not tired as in sleepy, but tired as in fed up. She had bore the weight of her appearance on her shoulders. The weight of her exile. The weight of her mate's betrayal. The weight of her pups well being. The weight of her pup's death. The weight of her pack. The weight of the attack to what used to be her family. And it was all too much.
Somewhere along the way, as she waited in the cold, she stopped caring for the past. If it would haun her, so be it. She was moving on to a new life, a better one and she could hold it with honor... if she ever got in. Her looks may hinder her chances.
She couldn't help the twitch of her lips as the other wolf made his presence known. She couldn't help the tiniest hint of a snarl that escaped her lips. She quickly stopped herself and looked away from the brute, her eyes burning. "Forgive me, it has been so long since I have been near other wolves." She spoke, her voice light and uplifting, yet her heart wanted to grab a hold of them and bring them down into the despair that it was drowning in.
His question brought nothing but flashes of all that had happened before- but wasn't she supposed to be fogetting that? Wasn't she supposed to let it go and let it rest in the past? Dredging up a smile, she glanced at the male. "Releasing what is left of my past," She answered, near cryptic with her remark. ooc;; -sighs- There's my crap post. I'm just too excited about getting a Wacom Tablet and Photoshop this week =3 Hope you can make some sense of this post.[/blockquote]

Roan laughed deep and light heartily, his fangs glistening in the pale light of the moon, "You and me both odd one. On both manners. Just 2 more tortured souls damned to wander this beautiful mess of a planet." His laugh stopped abruptly and he peered down onto her, looking over her face inch by inch then back to her wings with a snort. Her appearance was demonic, like a minion of Lucifer himself, but the look on her face, the sense that he got from her was anything but evil. He got the inkling this wolf was the kind that would go out of her way not to crush a butterfly on the ground, but would rather move around it, or even stop to gaze upon it. He had been wrong before though, and wasn't going to go off of an inkling. "Who are you? And why do you come here?" His eyes turned and blazed back into hers, his voice nothing like it had been a moment ago. He was more determined now and wanted to get to the heart of the matter before the informality started. His tailed flicked in front of his lower frame, the scales on it vibrating softly to keep some warmth. It was like how shivering worked for the flesh. He licked his chops in waiting, as he pondered what kind of story this female must have. A look like hers must have diverted other wolves like his own appearance had, only her looks were more deviant than his own. He was a mutt, mixed blood of something that should have never been, a creation of pure love and will from his dragon father. "Mutt" was the word others had given him for the reason of there nonacceptance. The word never truly phased him like their ignorant refusals did. He was proud of being him, he thought it gave him an advantage over 'regular' others. Some leaders had thought this too, and had tried to use him as some kind of a beast to unleash on their enemies. Roan caught on to this and left disgusted with the packs. He was all for defensing and offencing for his pack, he rather liked a good fight, but to be used in a pack that didn't accept him and be tucked away as an ace in the hole was beyond him. They were lucky he hadn't turned on them for it, the massacre would have been over in minutes. Again, lucky for them he likes to fight for a good reason when he does. Its what keeps him sleeping, when he does sleep that is.

A small smile came to her face as the brute didn't chase her away right off the bat. Most wolves would have been terrified of her looks and would have made sure she left. They wouldn't want her near them, near the pups of their pack, or would have remembered the tales their parents used to tell them about creatures like her and ran from her. Her wings, if they could be called such, flexed briefly, the bones creaking in an omnious way. The spikes up and down her back raised in defense as his tone suddenly became serious, but smoothed back down as she realized just how rude she was being and that he was only speaking to her like such because he didn't know her. She wasn't used to this. Being lower on the food chain with other wolves. She had been the alpha of a pack before; everyone respected her and she had one loyal wolf that she could count on forever and all time. Sabbath had been such a doll, despite her hellish looks as well, and DILIVI thought it was a shame that she more than likely didn't survive the raid on their pack. Her eyes, normally colored for once, slid over the brute as she replied, "I am DILIVI- I seek acceptance into these pack lands." She answered simply. She wondered briefly, why this varg wasn't running from her in fear or hatred. Why hadn't she been chased away and damned by words? Her muscles quivered under her thick pelt as she tucked her tail next to her right flank. Was she finally getting somewhere?[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Roan snorted and let a weak smile creep on to the left side of his maw, this female intrigued him with her looks and contrasting personality. She was defiantly one of the misunderstood types; one of the ones that do not take on the persona of their reputation. This fact made him rather joyful inside, though he didn’t let it show in any of his expressions except for his smirk. He hated when creatures put labels on others because of their image, their past, or their lineage… It made no sense to him what so ever. This could be because of how he had been so misunderstood, but also because of experience had told him so. Look at Crow, son to power-hungry, destruction happy hellion, while Crow himself dignified, and held compassion and a level of understanding to him. Roan really liked this about Crow, he didn’t fit what he was “supposed” to be, the maniacal heir to the thrown. Alike this one before him, he got the same feel over. Her eyes held no trickle of hidden agendas, and her words of acceptance seemed as sincere as Roans had been not too long ago when he had joined, saying the exact same thing.
“Again. You and me both sweetheart.” He flashed his teeth on the side that was bowed upward, not in a growl or any subtle dominance flare, it was just a show. His peripherals watched her wings as they creaked, and moved like the awkward shadows of bare tree branches under the moon light. His snake like tongue slithered around his two protruding upper k-9’s, not searching for something but rather tasting the air while subtly melting the frost that began to form on them. The Zebra pattern on his midsection seemed to move in the moon light like light reflections off of rippling water. His tail moved and flicked beside him like a companion that doted on his every word. “Dilivi.. What does..” He was cut off by his ears perking and his massive head turning toward their right. His lips curled but no sound came from his vocals, he was listening. Another howl had come to his attention and there short after, voices. He looked back to Dilivi, his eyes less friendly at his attention change, but his voice was soft and redirected, “Come. Appears you aren’t the only one searching for acceptance right now.” In a swift move he picked his body up in a turned motion to the right, his head nodded distinctly to follow him. He assumed the female had heard the others too, and that this would only make sense. He somewhat hopped she wouldn’t take offense to his sudden cold expression; he was a fierce wolf who had a form of OCD. He liked to move around, take care of lose ends, and wasn’t about to leave something that needed attention un attended if he was able to do something about it. He was always one to listened to someone else, really take in and ponder others, but because his brain felt something needed to be sought, it bugged him until he sought it and it was taken care of. He sneered at the interruption as he padded forward through the leveled snow. The wind was blowing shards of snow blinding out in the open, so he kept to any coverage he could. Occasionally, when moving around a bend, he lifted a glob of aluminum from the earth and threw the snow and formed it into a large sheet that blocked the wind at their front right.
It worked well and lessened the blow of the bitter cold on their noses and eyes. He looked behind him, eyes sharp making sure the female was near him, staying within the blocking power of his shield.
Soon the voices were really near, if it wasn’t for the shield Road could probably have seen them. As they came closer to the forest’s edge, Roan dropped the aluminum back into the earth, it just phasing threw the soil and snow back into its resting place. He approached quickly, shaking his mane to get the snow off of his longer fur. His shorter fur tended to melt the snow as soon as it landed because of the body heat. The forest was a wonder, snow topping the canopy of bare branches and a very thin layer of it on the ground. The air seemed less unforgiving here and even the wind died drastically from their higher position on the mountain. Roan looked to both the new comers with fierce eyes that held a hint of calm to them, and then he looked back to Dilivi, making sure he left a gap open for her to sit within a circle of the 3. Roans tongue snaked in and out at the wolves, his voice almost hissing and sharp, it being from the cold air he had breathed, “Welcome to Misuteriasu Mountains. I take it you are new by your scents… I have yet to come across them here.” His scaly tail wisp behind him at the light snow that covered the ground, his stature was larger than the males before him, but he didn’t tower over him like he did with the two females. Bother females however were very different from any he had seen before; one with a demonic appearance, and the other a muscular gal that was graced with horns upon her head. He liked this new place he called home, everyone was just as different as he was, and for the first time in his life, he felt he was among his kind… even though the blood that coursed through his veins was much different than theirs.
“I am Roan.” And that was it, simply put. His eyes rest upon the other male, as if asking for his calling first. The muscles not covered by his mane and spine fur rippled with engagement at the gathering. While he was lean, his muscles seemed almost bulky for his skinny underside.
