I think remove the limit. Because I know some people who would want to go barely over the limit by one or two, but be bummed out because they can't. I used to be that way, and it gets really frustrating because then you have to pick between your wolves.

Oh, I forgot to add this as well:
It will also give the site more wolves to work with, and with the creative wolves that I've seen on here so far, it'll only become even more so. It'll be adding color to the painting... of course that's a metaphor, but you get what I'm saying, right?

I mean, you can put up a rule stating that they can only create what they can take care of and not go overboard with it. That if you find one that's being neglected, you can give them a a warning, a week or two to reply. If they reply, talk to them about it, and if they don't, their wolf winds up being put up for adoption or deleted.

Yeah I actually think it'd be a good idea if we got rid of the limit. Who knows, it may make LD more active with people who have multiple wolves to play around with. I know I'll make more if I my damn muse decides to get off from her lazy arse.

I think it would be good to get rid of the limit too. I could probably handle maybe two more characters here and I think that's how most people feel. And even if it's only ten people roleplaying with forty different characters, it gives a big impression of a lot of activity and makes guests say "WOW! I should join here, because it's active.. and DJ roleplays here!"
On my old site that I'm currently renovating, Nearly Distant, I didn't have a limit on the number of characters a person could have. I think that the first people there were um.. Jaden, Jordy, myself, Britney, Clerk, Magnus and Brandi. But each of us had about four characters and the site looked really active. We had all sorts of people advertising on us, so we advertised on them too, and we eventually had around forty members before the plague of inactivity struck around spring break. Which, hopefully, would not happen to Aelyn. ^^

Hopefully it won't. I like the idea of more charries because I have over 20 different wolves I use and all of them I could handle at once if needed... xP The only reason I have four right now was so I could make charries that could help the forum stay active through posting with everyone.
