Shakti&&Reo "I should, I wish I could Maybe if you were I would A list of standard issue regrets”
Large wuffs of laughter disturbed the tranquil silence that had settled over this particular piece of laughter. The thud of paw prints, the large booming laughter, and the tiny, bell-like laughter that always followed it. But the larger voice was muffled silently and slowly they came into view. It was a male wolf, his pelt a brown-blonde shade that seemed to capture the radiant rays of sun that managed to make it that far to earth. His eyes sparkled with joy as he finally came to a stop, just inside the borders of this unfamiliar land that they had been heading towards. In his mouth, was the source of the muffling, a large leg from some prey outside the boundaries.
The source of the tiny laughter was also seen as well, a small, teal wolf floating around this male wolf. Her eyes glittering as she tried to keep her flight steady- which was hard to do when she was laughing so hard. Calming herself slightly, she rested on the shoulders of the male wolf, trying to breathe. "That- that was just priceless! Did you see the look on his face!?!" Her tiny giggles bubbled up again as the male she was traveling with set down his prize to answer her. "Well, he left his meal open, it was gonna happen. 'sides, I needed it to feed us, Reo." He barked out, looking around the area. It was about then that he saw that they were no longer in the lands thay had been previously. There was somehting different about this place, this terra. So many scent marks, yet they all belonged to the same family. Shaking his pelt, he grabbed the meat he had stolen and began to walk further into the territory.
As he did so, his mind flicked back to his mate, Taiga. Where had the hot headed wolf run off to. He had been right behind them when they had decided to take the meal that they needed to survive. The leg was for Taiga and Reo, he could go a bit without food. He would wait until he had provided for his 'family' before eating himself. "Shakti... this place is-" Before she could finish her scentence, Shakti had cut her off. "We need a home, Reo. And this is the best place for us." Truely, the tiny wolf wouldn't mind the heat of the volcano and surely she wouldn't mind the bitter cold that seemed to envelop the place. They needed somewhere to stay, somewhere to prevent Reo from almost being eaten every single day. It may not have been the best of decisions, but their choices had been limited. He shook his head, setting the meat down once again. He was going to wait for Taiga, it never did feel right without the snappish wolf with him. "We'll wait for Tai, then see if we can't get some alpha's out here." He informed his companion, laying his body on the ground, sure to keep his back level so that Reo didn't fall off. It was a praticed method that only got smoother, the more he did it.

Taiga Wolf of the Southern Flames
"Show me how to lie You’re getting better all the time And turning all against the one Is an art that’s hard to teach" His form came bursting through the line of trees at breakneck speeds, a snarl ripping through his jaws as he took in the sight of his lounging mate. Stupid bastard, didn't even tell him what he was up to and left Taiga in his dust as he and Reo had run. And they thought it was funny?! He skidded to a stop in the cool snow, the substance melting slightly under his paws as he stepped in front of Shakti. He let another snarl loose, snapping his jaws close to his mate's face. "What was that- leaving me behind you idiots!?! He looked pissed, and much stronger than a mutt without powers and bite sized snack!" He snapped, his glowing eyes narrowing towards the too. Three, floating spirits finally caught up to him, circling around his body and brushing against his fur. They often did that when he was mad, trying to soothe his anger and qualm his temper. But he was firey by nature, and even the desolate cries that only he could hear from them, wouldn't stop him from ripping the two morons a new one.
Walking over to Shakti's side, Taiga used his hips to knock him over, leaving the powerless idiot to lie in the snow if he so pleased. "And just where did you lead us?" He asked, finally taking notice of the new scents and the scenery. His eyes, just a bit softer, glanced to his mate and his friend. Just because he acted as though he hated them, Taiga knew he would be so terribly lonely without them. He often wondered how much of his personality they could take before they would abandon him. Shakti&&Reo "I should, I wish I could Maybe if you were I would A list of standard issue regrets”
Shakti couldn't help the snort of laughter that flowed from his maw as Tai came bursting forth. On the inside, he was hoping that the smaller wolf wasn't too angry for him and Reo using him as a distraction. He knew the other could fend for himself, he wasn't about to baby Taiga just because the other brute was his mate. No, they most certainly didn't have that kind of relationship. Their relationship was more based on the fact that they just couldn't stay away from each other, that there was always something interesting locked within the other that they always sought to find. Shakti found that Taiga's 'affection' was simply wonderous- just the way that many thought they hated each other's guts when Shakti knew very well that when it came down to it, that brush of fur was endearment.
So being shoved over wasn't something for Shakti to get upset about, though he knew Reo would throw a small fit later as she yipped and fluttered off his shoulder, the sudden loss of her body heat leaving a tingling tickle on his shoulders. Laying sideways in the dirt, he lifted his head and looked at Taiga as his mate seemed to take in their new surroundings. Placing his head back down on the snow, he sighed, watching the powdery water go up in a plume. "Hopefully it's a place we can call home, brat. I'm tired of having to protect the both of you during the night." He answered, and grinned in his mind when Reo landed with a not-so-mighty thump on his torso with a small growl. "What is that supposed to mean? She huffed, walking along his body until she could peer down into his eye, in which he smirked. "It means I'd actually like to sleep for once instead of worrying about you getting eaten in the middle of the night, Pint." He spoke, standing up and ignoring her outrage at the nickname as she took to the air instead of sitting on him. She was a fiery little fae, that was for sure. "I told you that I don't need to be babysat at night! I can take very damn good care of myself, thank you!" She muttered, wanting nothing more than to swat the ignorant bastard upside the head.
She knew that she probably wouldn't last a night without him, but her stubborness refused to let her admit it. She would never let him know just how scared out of her wits she was when they went to sleep at night. What if, for that one moment that he was asleep as well, a wolf snuck by them and snatched her up in the middle of the night. It had been her fears that had struck the idea of finding a pack to live in. Saftey in numbers, wasn't that it? The other packs had seemed peaceful enough and all, but maybe too much so. She had heard of Lucid and figured that as long as she played by his rules, she would live with it. She didn't have to like it, as long as she got to see sunrise the next morning.

Taiga Wolf of the Southern Flames
"Show me how to lie You’re getting better all the time And turning all against the one Is an art that’s hard to teach" Would it be cliche to say that Taiga was not amused, even as his mate abused their friend and used that very endearing nickname for her that got Reo so riled up that it could bring tears to Taiga's eyes? Yes, yes it would. Because you see, Taiga really wasn't amused, his mate had called him a brat again and he tossed his head to the side with a snort, hoping for a moment that Reo would attack him viciously. But no such luck was brought to Taiga. His wishes remained unanswered.
Trotting over to the severed leg that they had stolen from another (and seriously pissed off) wolf, Taiga dipped his head down and took a nice bite out of it. Ah! Food, it tasted so good, and the way the winter air chilled it so that it was cool against his normally heated insides was just perfect. He let out a small bark as he took another bite. He made sure not to eat too much so that Reo and Shakti would have their fair share. Swallowing what was in his mouth, he glanced over to his mate. "Have you alerted someone yet?" He asked, shaking his pelt. Looking closer at his surroundings, he soon recognized this place as the mountains, home to the Misuteriasu pack... and Lucid. Everyone had heard his call out in the lands and had run for the hills. Many stayed behind though, refusing to leave, and others left because they were heading that way anyways. Like themselves. They just needed a place to call home, somewhere that they could sleep a whole night through without waking. And Taiga was particularlly interested in the volcano that was in the mountain. Oh yes, the flowing lava beneath the surface would feel great against his paws. Something he could connect with of the earth. Shakti&&Reo "I should, I wish I could Maybe if you were I would A list of standard issue regrets”
Shakti had instantly regretted calling his mate a brat. He thought he had gotten that out of his system a while ago. When they had first met, he had called Tai that because that was exactly what he had acted like- a brat. But as they became mates, he called him by his name more. But when calling Reo her nickname, Tai's old nickname seemed to slip off his tongue and he felt a pang of hurt that he had said that. Looking at his mate, he flinched on the inside as Tai snorted and looked away from him. Getting up from the ground, he softly walked over to his mate as he took a bite of their meal and gently pushed his nose against Tai's temple. It was an apology, and he hoped Tai knew it because he honestly couldn't stand that he had hurt his mate, even if it wasn't physical and even if it forced Shakti to show a weaker side. Hey, it was good to know that he wasn't totally heartless, of course that was only when it came to Reo and Tai. Any other varg in the lands would never get the softy treatment from this brute. Never.
Reo, her eyes ever watching the scene unfold, couldn't help the hurt that built up in her chest. It was jealousy. She wasjealous that she had never been given such a loving relationship- her mate had discarded her and she had left. It had been for her own health. Just seeing the care that could suddenly appear in Shakti's persona made Reo ache for a mate who wouldn't care that she couldn't bear their children and would stay with her and only her. But Tai posed a good question and Reo floated over to rest on Shakti's shoulder blades once again. "Yeah, I think we should do that soon, unless we want angry alphas and betas on our tails." She offered.
Shakti grined wryly and swung his head around to look out of the corner of his eye at Reo. That was all he needed before lifting his head up and calling out to the alphas of the land. Through his deep call, he could hear Reo's softer and higher pitched howl mix in with hers and he could only wait to hear if Tai would join them. After all, his mate would be joining with them as well.
