Spo o n the best things in life are not things.
As we all know, the great circle high in the sky rises and falls as the day passes by. New life is born, while others may wither or die. We all get old, we gain knowledge and for some power and fame. But we all shrivel up at some point, and that knowledge and power must be passed on to someone else. That is why our world goes round, because our creativity brings us the knowlegde that we need to survive and make things better. Our minds are what let's us think, and create new things. And Spoon himself strived to be someone very knowledgable.
Spoon lay on a flat boulder, basking himself in the sun's glory. He was deep in thought, about the question he would ask the Alpha's. A rank, a certain rank he wanted. Yes, it would mean great responsibility, but Spoon assured himself that he was indeed quite ready. He flopped over onto his stomach, tapping his claws impatiently on the hard surface of the now warm rock. He knew he himself would have to call for them, but what if it wasn't the right time? What if they become annoyed because he pulled them away from something important? Spoon was a bit dissapointed in himself, but he knew he'd have to work the courage up to go talk to them.
Spoon wasn't quite sure where the Alpha's were, so he might have to give a short howl. But he was nervous, he'd never actually done something like this before. Spoon closed his eyes, imagining different scenerios that could he could play out. He would definitely have to look and act professional. He knew that the responsibilites of a Gamma were organization, looking at the very essence of small details, taking care of and remembering everything that happens each day and also making suggestions. Spoon was quite good at things like that, for he did not need any emotional response for this position, nor did he have to deem himself worther by hunting or having anything to do with physical fitness.
Spoon took a deep breathe. Now opening his eyes he stood up lazily, and plopped off the rock. Looking over himself and at the ground he made sure he was not dirty, nor if there was any muddy areas around. Since this pack was on marshy land, he had to be extra careful. Walking into a more open area he lifted his head up, inhailing a large amount of air and letting it out with a short blasted howl. He hoped that it was alright, and it didn't sound demanding in anyway. Now all he could do is wait quietly, and hoped one or both of the Alpha's heard it and would answer his call.
