[/size]The sun was high in the afternoon sky, sending its warmth down. It spread across this vast forest, seeking creatures and anything beyond to land upon, as a new home. The light coming from the sun was intense; it was brighter than it ever has been in a long time. The oaks could tell such a thing; the leaves danced and swayed of pure happiness. The wind power was slight, not giving off anything too strong. Still, the leaves found the courage to keep dancing, strong under the sun. The light blue sky even gave off this light, this aura, that even the tiniest creature could tell. It could tell that a new wind was coming, the wind of change. What was changing, you wonder? Didn't you hear the recent news, reader? The animals living in this green wonderland was awaiting for a new "king" of the forest. Alright, a horrible choice of words. This wasn't a monarchy, was it? They were awaiting the new leader of them, of this family. Yes, all of these creatures were a family; a circle of life. Without one, where was the other? Good philosphy, in my opinion.
If you zoomed through the dense trees and the large bushes, you would come across an area that one family lived. Together, in harmony with the Toko Forest. This family was a pack of wolves; elders, adults, and pups alike. All different in their own way; all with different values and personalities. This is what makes up this wonderful life. Among these wolves was one, pure white from the tip of the muzzle down to the tip of the tail. Covered with white magnificence, with scars etched into the skin of the beast. Scars of past battles, past experiences, past mistakes. All learned from, all expected. The only difference in this white pelt was the emerald green of the eyes. It was bright; brighter than even the dancing leaves up above. It was filled with guilt, regret, pain. It was also filled with love, joy, happiness. Anger, depression. Emotions all live in those eyes; the fire burns without ceasing to die off.
This beast was laying down under a giant oak, eyes closed and ears erect, twitching to the sounds. The sounds of birds singing in the air, flying above, doing twirls and flips of joy. The crunching of the leaves when creatures walk across or searching for a bit of food to support their family. And of course, last but not least, the swaying green leaves above. The tail flopped a bit side to side, enjoying the peace and quiet for once. For once in the beast's life, there was peace and quiet. A slight sigh escaped him, and the wolf grin spread itself on the muzzle. "What could go wrong...?"
Daamnnn. Poor choice of words.
A few moments after that simple statement, a tiny mouse bounded out of the fallen leaves, stalking its way towards the giant brute. It was like a tower over it; and it started to shiver. Before this all even happened, his eyes had already opened, peering down at the mouse. Hues gleaming, he huffed a bit, waiting for it to speak to him. The beast didn't dare peer into its mind; it was rude and disrespectful. Only if he had permission or if it was an emergency he would do such a thing.
"Uhm... wol' sir... The pack wants ta see yoh'."
And with that, it quickly disappeared just as it have come.
Already standing, he sighed again, and he shook out his pelt. The muscles were bluging; he was a pretty big wolf indeed. After a few glances at the heavenly place, he bounded off, his speed quickly accelerating. That pink tongue was no where to be seen; his tail was flailing in the wind as he ran. Rapidly, he came before the pack. Instantly, he stopped, and he got the feeling. The alpha was gone, and there was supposed to be a new one soon.
They had to chose, and the way all those different colored eyes were looking at him, they chose him.
Him.
Blinking a few times, he knelt on his right leg and bowed his head for a few moments. Afterwards, he stood up, and cleared his throat. Those eyes seemed to soften as he understood, as he accepted. They all either sat down or laid down, watching him intently. "I suppose it came to this, huh?" All wolf heads nodded, not daring to make a stir. "Then I claim this land as my own, as my family. Objections?"
Nothing, not a stir. So, quickly, to put in short words, he made his rounds. Not to describe the whole thing out, as many of you, I'm sure, don't want to know the process.
I'm at least almost sure.
Rapidly, he came back, and sat down, awaiting the others decisions on the matter, or suggestions. He was new to this; and he wanted to do what the pack needed. Wisdom; and maybe others wanted to stand up to him, prove to him. Who knows what would happen now, huh?
