The muscular brute seemed to glide across the forest floor, the fallen leaves making crackling sounds underneath him. This was, of course, the only sounds that could be made in this dense habitat, besides the chirping of birds and the buzzing of the bees. The sun was high up in the sky, the afternoon seeming to wake all of Mother Nature's beings. The sunlight streamed down through the clutters of the leaves, landing upon his snow white pelt. It sparkled, oh yes it did, and it was lit up like a Christmas tree. What was also lit up was his emerald eyes, as it glowed so... powerfully, so mercilessly, that if any brave animal dared to stare into them, they would melt under its gaze. This was just another normal day, you would think, for this brute. However, it was not. News spread a-bout, and once it reached his ears, he could not uphold such thing.
The alpha was gone.
Why such a thing would happen? He did not know, and he wished to find the answers to it. Maybe lovely Betess Minou would know, and as he was thinking this, his very muscular legs took him where he must go, to find her. Don't get me wrong, the male wolf wanted to have the position, but only if the pack chose him to uphold such a responsibility. Not even that; if Minou thought he was the right wolf, and thought he had a pure heart. This Tyrome would try to, and he would not stop until he has accomplished such a task. "Where is she, anyway...?" Such an easy question, but a hard answer.
The thick fallen logs did not stop him from moving so swiftly. He seemed to fly, like some wolves with wings. Only he was running, with his head up high, sniffing about. No scents, except rabbits, birds, frogs, all of those other things that made this forest up. Slowly down a bit, he squinted his eyes, his scar going down his right eye seeming to bulge, quite like his muscles did. The trees were surrounding him, and it made him feel at home, at peace, even though his mind was racing through a million thoughts. Growling a bit low to himself, he slowed his pace more to a steady walk. He was in a relatively good mood, like always, with a mission on his mind. "Minou, I need to talk to you." Now he used his telepathy power to stretch out a mile or two, not trying to push his limit. He did not know where she was, but this was his only hope. The thoughts of the dead abruptly hit him, and he quickly shook his head, with his ears twitching of annoyance. It always came whenever he did not want them to come, even though they have words of wisdom for him. Yes, he would listen to them, in due time, but right now was not that time. You can say this has made him quite a wise, strong wolf, but he tends not to think of himself like that.
Sighing, he slowly walked over to a giant oak, and sitting down under it, allowing the sunlight to dance over his body and eyes. Quickly, he licked his muzzle to calm his nerves, and awaited for the pack members or Minou to come. In due time, in due time.

The voice slid through her mind, and finally the femme moved. As if she had not sat in that same spot for hours, her eyes slid open and she rose to her paws. It was a move so smooth....like water. She didn't shake her coat, nor did she yawn. Her slim skull lifted, breathing in the air through dark blue nostrils before she answered. Coming Tyrome..... It wasn't loud, for she was never one to raise a voice, but it would reach him just the same. She was close enough, that she could tell, but she didn't stretch her mind out to reach him. It only took a few minutes to reach the white brute and she stopped, her tail swinging lightly behind her, no outward sign of her grief. She blinked her eyes, the bird like feathers quivering slightly. Her maw opened and she spoke. "You needed to speak with me?" She tilted her head as she said it, her tinted pelt swishing.[/ul][/blockquote]

Again, he sighed, awaiting more and more. Tick tock, tick tock. It seemed like an endless clock to him, time kept going even if he didn't want it to. The other wolves spoke of the former alpha so highly, and yes, the brute had met him once. The male could remember how tall he stood, how proud he was of his pack. This made another sigh escape him, and he wished he knew the other brute better. Silently, he wondered if Minou felt any pain, and he figured she did. Some things are just not meant to be spoken of, but only wondered to oneself. This was so exception to the rule.
The winds blew across him, but he did not ruffle his pelt like he normally would. Instead, he just sat there, his tail flopping from one side to the other. Don't mistake this for happiness; he was nervous, as he had not spoken to the betess in quite a long time. Rather, he wished he talked to her about something more neutral than this. Ears twitching, he made sure he was alert and ready when she came. A block was up in his thoughts so he could not hear the deads' whispers and pleas, as he was intent on gathering the information he wanted. If the information was not given to him, that would be fine. He understands, even though he never puts up a front about it. Like I said, some things are never meant to be spoken of, or about.
However, this was an exception.
After a moment or two, he closed his eyes, moving the wall from his thoughts, allowing voices to stream in. "What are you doing? You know this'll hurt--", "No, c'mon. Let him do it, he's strong enough---", "Fail! He was never meant to be---." The voices of the dead, and with a huff and a snort, he put a block on his mind. They irritated him a bit, with their rambling about worthless things. Of course they have to lower his self- esteem a bit, I mean, it's their job, right?
Coming Tyrome... The brute leapt up, and tensed. He did not expect an answer, and it made him make a small wolf grin under these circumstances. After a few minutes, there she was, in front of him. Of course he always found her attractive, but hey, who's not to blame? The wolf bowed his head respectively, with his right front leg kneeling. A moment passed and he stood up right again, with a hint of that same smirk across his muzzle. "You needed to speak with me?" "No, lovely Betess. I just wanted to marvel at your beauty." The male tried to lighten the subject by cracking a joke, and he hoped it would work. "Yes, I did. I am sure you have heard the news..." A small sigh escaped him, and he gazed at her, wondering. "Anything you wish me to do, Minou?" Such an uncommon question, but he was there for her, even if he wished to not speak it. The way his emerald eyes glanced at her seemed to tell her that he was, even if she wished him not to be. Tyrome cared for her, a lot, and he would lay down his life for the Betess. This was not because of his player-like personality, but more from the heart itself. Only if she knew.

she murmured in reply, wishing things could be as lighthearted as that, but knowing they wouldn't be. Nothing could ever be that way in life. Or maybe it could...she let that thought drift away and pricked her ears as the males throat tightened for speech again. His soft words touched her more than he would know. Her harks tilted back, the feathers on her skull settling. She nodded, not taking her eyes from him, but for a second, they wavered. "I have heard, yes. Corrinth is gone for good. Or at least from his position as alpha," she answered, voice lilted and dipping much like her pelt. "Not an uncommon occurrence in Aelyn, but one we shall mourn none-the-less I hope." Her cranium lifted and she looked at the sky a moment before back at her pack mate. "Others will soon arrive, hearing of the news of an alpha position open. I shall not let any unfit ones in. Toko Forest is my home, and it will not fall to disuse or decrepit standards," she spoke, flicking her tail lightly. She considered his question a moment longer, choosing her words as she always did. "Nothing for me, Tyrome. Everything for the land," her words were clear and crisp, the sunny air seeming to hold them a moment before scattering them.[/blockquote][/ul]

Those solid emerald hues watched the lovely fae before him, and he wondered what she could be feeling. Her body movements were the same, but something came off of her, possibly a vibe, that she was somehow struggling to maintain this posture. Nevertheless, Tyrome let it slide, and continued to gaze at her. The sunlight seemed to dim its glow, like it knows about what is going to come on from this conversation. Sighing a bit, he gently sat himself down, his fluffy tail curling over his hind paws. The claws were always unsheathed, as if it was stuck there by Elmer's glue. Nothing could be helped about that, and if there was some sort of cure, he would immediately try to find it; how attracting is it to have your weapons always showing? Not very, in the least. Those ears twitched, listening to the gentle roars of the water and now, the buzzing of the bees started to begin once more. Time kept moving, no matter how much one wanted it to stop. This was everyday; this was life, and you cannot try to stop this circle. Even if you wanted to.
The white brute watched as she bowed for a few moments then got up. This was probably out of respect, and he took it in. A wolfish smirk spread itself across his muzzle, and he nodded his head once. The tip of his tail started to flop side to side, showing his small joy in her company right about this moment. The very thought of entering her mind was out of limits; he would never dream to do such a thing. It was rude, disrespectful and utterly disgraceful. No wolf that he knew would ever try to reach such limits as those. It was plain craziness, and it chilled him to the bone when he thought of it.
"I do not believe that is the case."
The brute chuckled, and his emerald eyes grew soft, almost as if they were melting inside. "Hm, you're quite right, though it is very nice to see you today, Minou." Every word he meant, and his voice, as low as it was, expressed so. Through the little words they shared between each other, he trusted her as a whole, and respected her decisions on basically everything. She was wise, creative and extremely calm, which is what every pack needed, in his personal opinion.
"I have heard, yes. Corrinth is gone for good. Or at least from his position as alpha. Not an uncommon occurrence in Aelyn, but one we shall mourn none-the-less I hope." The brute nodded, and sighed again. "I am sure he will be back; if he is not, then of course we shall run his legacy here. His traditions will never die, I can assure you." True words. Honest to good words. Only a few wolves could have spoken such honest words, full of loyalty and pride. Wolves that are selfish never spoke like the way he did; they always spoke full of greed, and you can tell in their eyes. His, however, was bright and full of compassion towards the blue Betess. This was a rare occurance, as if you knew the brute, he rarely smiled let alone his eyes become so bright. Mourning for him? Of course. No questions was needed for that, nor words. It was self-explanatory. "Others will soon arrive, hearing of the news of an alpha position open. I shall not let any unfit ones in. Toko Forest is my home, and it will not fall to disuse or decrepit standards." The brute growled lowly for a moment in agreement. "Of course. I'll put my life on the line if that is to be the case. It's my home too, as early as I have been here. Truthfully, every wolf here is my family, as I consider it to be. I'd die for all of them." Nodding after he spoke, he glanced up at the sky. The sunlight streaked itself down, and spread over him. He felt enlightened, he felt at... peace. A peace that cannot be replaced; he realized he did belong here, no matter how much his ego denies this fact. Those orbs then turned their attention back towards Minou. "Nothing for me, Tyrome. Everything for the land." Nodding again, he spoke in a low, yet gentle voice. "Of course, my lady. However, when wolves arrive to attempt to get such a rank, should I be beside you to judge their... loyalty?" He spit out the "attempt" word, as he was not too fond of others trying to recieve the position. It's not because he was selfish, no, so please don't mistake that. It was because wolves need to prove their loyalty and raise themselves, not start off so high and strong. He was an old-fashioned wolf; and he always will be.

she murmured, liquid voice flowing from dark lips. She gave her head a slight toss to wave back one feather that was longer than the other, her muscled sides rippling along the blue lines down them. He was a polite brute, and she could tell he told the truth. She only wished she could believe him right now. Not that he'd know she was feeling down. Calm, steady Minou would never let on her inner emotions. The pack needed a calm ruling group, and the fae took this very seriously. His responding words had her eyes moving to his face leisurely and a low sigh rolling from her muzzle. "I hope so, not that I really knew any traditions that could be passed on. I suppose the pack will just have to remember him and protect the lands," she responded, flicking one ear back. Corrinth had never really called pack hunts, nor pack meetings. They had been friends but she had never really known what exactly he wanted the pack to celebrate. Maybe it was just normal things, things he would have gotten to soon enough. But whatever the reasons and plans Corrinth was gone. "We will accept an alpha at one point. And we will welcome him and accept his traditions as well I hope," she continued after a moment. It was only respectful of the pack to allow a leader to change some things if they were for the good. His next words that were given had her tilting her head at him. She pondered over an answer, choosing words before giving his sentences her attention. "I believe you are loyal, Tyrome. Nor would I have allowed a wolf that was not completely devoted to the pack and the land onto the soil that is Toko. You're love for it now, some thing I saw in you before, has taken root." She flicked her gaze to the trees around them, as if speaking to the green and brown organisms. "I said once that we all find out way to the places that we need most. Here is for you." She rose to her paws before stretching lightly, back bending. "No, you would not stand beside me, but with me. As would the rest of the pack." Only her mate would stand beside her, as was right. But the pack would judge a new wolf as they always had. She was not the only voice in Toko, and she would never be. Really, she had been thinking and pulling her voice completely from the rest, but she would wait until the time was right and the pack had someone to rule before she took gave deep thought to that route..[/ul][/blockquote]
