”I AM NOT CAPABLE OF ANYTHING! I FEEL NO LOVE, KINDNESS, CARING! IT IS NOTHING BUT A DISTANT MEMORY TO ME!” The small snarl building before burst forth in to a rage-filled beasts roar. ”It is all a memory that I mimic in order to force you away! I do not want you and CANNOT! The only thing that I cling to is memories, that is all I have! I do not feel anything for them, no sorrow, no pain, no love! I show no emotion, it is all a mimic! I feel nothing but my curse!” His black lips raised as she stepped closer to him.
”You cannot help me. There is nothing to help. You cannot save my soul, for I have none, same as I have no heart, no feeling. Foolish girl, cannot understand this? I am damned, walking this earth, and even the sweet release of death cannot be mine. I am a hallow shell, a puppet to my own mistake!” The color within his eyes was completely gone; they were nothing more than twin black holes, not even light reflected within them. Eyes after all, are the gateway to the soul. Baztek’s eyes were completely empty. His words came slow and painful, but his voice still dripped with fury. ”My family, my life, was slaughtered, butchered, by my own fang and claw. I have torn out the hearts of my children, and tasted the blood of my love. And I sold my soul, so that I could do it. And I feel nothing. I feel no sorrow for my deed. I feel no regret in taking their lives. I feel no pain for butchering the mother of my own children. Masina…I have no soul.”

Masina listened to him, not wavering anymore at his outburst and his rage. She needed to stay strong, to stand strong in front of him. His words, though they sank in, didn't change her opinion or her mind. She would do what she could to keep him by her side... even if it meant keeping on with this matter... he had the choice to leave... he had the choice to end this conversation now, but he didn't, which added to her determination to press further in.
She thought for a moment on his words, taking in ideas that were crossing her mind. She wondered if her healing ability could somehow come in handy here, and thought only to try it was her only chance of knowing. She wouldn't do it without his permission, however... because that was not in her nature. Her thoughts were, however, that not all wounds are physical... some are emotional and mental, and this was one thing that she was going to attempt to do something with... perhaps not heal it.. perhaps not even begin to make anything better, but maybe to just have him have the opportunity to feel, or to know how connected she felt to him.. something, anything, would suffice in her eyes and mind right now, should she have the opportunity to try her theory out. She didn't know what would happen, if anything, but she had an inkling that she needed to try this, even if it did nothing.
"Baztek..." [/b] Her voice was calm, barely above a whisper. "Would you mind me trying something?"[/b] Her eyes held his, and a shimmer of hope rose within them. Kindness beyond any she had ever shone glinted there as well. "Let me try something, if you don't mind. I don't know if it will do anything, but I only hope you will grant me the chance to test this... even if it is only for my own benefit."[/b] She paused, raising a paw slightly, which held a golden aura around it, glowing dimly as she showed him one of her many abilities. She would touch her paw to his chest only if he gave her the go, but until then, she would wait. If he refused, she would understand, but she needed to know if she could do anything to spark something within him.[/blockquote]

His void eyes watched her absorb his words. Foolish girl, she was not phased at all. She had no instinct, no fear, she couldn’t even grasp that he could be the death of her if she kept up. The fury upon his features calmed as she spoke. Hope? If he was capable of laughter Baztek would have laughed her into her grave. Why could she not see the danger in him? He was Hell brought to life. He traveled to the netherworlds, where he was to spend an eternity in nothingness and he returned as nothingness. His eyes slowly began to leak black flames that faded into the light. His curse was consuming him, he had gone to far in using it to his advantage to force her away and no he would pay for it. Or more likely, Masina would. He snarled menacingly at her as she lifted her forepaw to him. How could she bare to touch him after all he revealed to her?
He was losing control, he could feel it slipping further and further away from him. It wasn’t so much that his control was slipping away, it was that he was slipping further and further within himself. Baztek was falling inside of his dark heart, becoming lost from all reality. As he sunk lower, his demon clawed higher. Why couldn’t Masina realize that she was no longer speaking with him. He snarled at her his last warning, something guttural, something dark and hellish, not from the mortal world. But then she did not falter. He had warned her.
As her angelic light touched his chest, Baztek’s bared fangs struck down so quickly even he hadn’t registered his actions as they occurred. [/blockquote]

Masina watched as the Baztek she knew changed and altered before her. Something familiar about this creature began to seep into her mind, though she couldn't put her paw on it. It was almost like deja vu... somehow, somewhere, she remembered something very similar to this, but she couldn't quite decide what.
She placed her paw upon his chest, slowly, her eyes never leaving his darkening sockets. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, picturing something healing in his chest, something being touched by her energies... though before long, she felt a painful bite upon her paw.
Masina jerked her eyes open. It had happened so fast, she didn't know what to do, quite frankly. She saw his teeth biting into her fur, her blood beginning to surface, yet she didn't remove her paw. She only concentrated harder upon him, her glowing aura engulfing more of her paw, growing brighter as she urged and pushed some form of healing toward the brute, even if it seemed pointless. Her paw ached, but her healing energies nullified that, however, didn't heal it. The pain ebbed away slowly, though she still bled as his teeth dug into her fur and tendons.
She closed her eyes again, putting all her efforts on concentrating in an attempt to touch a part of Baztek that he thought was forever lost. She knew something had changed about him, but she was ignoring that. She knew that her Baztek was somewhere in there and she was determined to help him fight whatever evil this was that was trying to consume him.. she had to.
She pushed onward, ignoring the bite he had taken into her, and using that as energy in itself to channel into her attempt at... something. Even she wasn't quite sure what she was trying to do, all she knew was that she needed to try something in order to have Baztek realize he was not as hopeless as he may seem.

She didn't waver her touch to him; her gentle touch that stung at his skin, and twisted his insides. Baztek's jaw clamped tighter, squeezing small red drops from her flesh. His eyes wild with emptiness, flaring and flickering their hate and rage at her. A beast's snarl rolled from his chest and into his maw, vibrating the delicate bones of her paw that his fangs dug for. She came nearer, determined as it would seem, to "help" him. But he was beyond helping! Foolish, stupid girl! She would be killed in her determination. As she came closer, Baztek leapt back, dragging his fang though her flesh as he did so, ripping her sweet, soft fur. Shoulders hunched like a vulture of death's shadow, his eyes were twin black voids, his parted maw slowly dripping tiny rubies. The demonic snarl came once more, warning her to keep her distance now that he had placed some between them.
"Stay away..." the words were slow and sluggish, as if he struggled to form them, but the warning was clear. "...maybe I don't want your help..."
[/i] His tail lashed as a thick red tongue licked the blood from his maw in one, swift sweep.[/blockquote] ((ooc:: ehh, terrible post...please forgive))[/size]

Masina put all her effort into concentrating on helping him, trying her hardest to ignore the pain that was now in her paw and foreleg. She winced slightly as he bit harder, then pulled away, tearing some of her soft flesh with it. She opened her eyes, silent tears falling at the pain in her paw as well as the pain of what Baztek was doing.
"Do you really want me to stay away? If you want to be away from me so much, then why don't you just leave? Its not like you haven't disappeared before. If you want to be away from me so bad, then just leave and go away for good." [/b] Tears streamed down her face as she said this and her voice grew high as she spoke these words fast. Her eyes seemed to spark with emotion and anger as she spoke, but she read his warning loud and clear. So many emotions swirled through her facial features... Pain, agony, anger, sadness... she lowered her head in defeat. Her paw still bled in front of her, but she ignored it. Either it would heal on its own or she would subconsciously heal it. Right now, it was the least of her worries. "Leave now. If you really want me to stay away from you, then leave. And don't come back."[/b] She growled slightly at this, angered at Baztek and at herself. She didn't want him to leave, but she couldn't handle much more of this... not without tearing herself apart... And she needed to have at least part of her sanity... even if it meant holding a permanent facade for the rest of her life. It was just one other thing for her to suppress in her memory... or at least try to. She turned her gaze to his once more, locking eyes. "So, make your decision. Am I forcing you to stay here? No. Am I forcing you to stay close? No. Its all your choice and your doing, not mine."[/b] She held his gaze, even though she looked into a bottomless void. She waited for his response.[/blockquote]

Dead eyes stared at her; no color, no light, no life. His snarling ceased as her pained words surrounded him. His ragged form stepped back awkwardly, with stiff, unbalanced legs; like a lowly puppet controlled by some higher master. Baztek turned from her, taking no second glances, and walked away. His skull was held level with his body, no held high with pride, not dipped down with shame, simply held to show his uncaring nature; his nature that could feel nothing, despite what others (foolish others) may wish. He could feel no love, no remorse, no kindness or caring. The white brute was merely a vessel for life; and the life within him was unwilling on his part. Had he the choice, he would hurl himself from the peaks of the mountains from the North. But his damned heart would never allow it.
The pale wolf walked away from the fae who had moments ago declared her unwavering love for him. His plain body was dragged through thick bushes and over bramble thorns with no sense of purpose other than to leave her; to go away and leave her far behind him, as she had finally wished. Burrs snagged on his ragged pelt as he walked past, but his void eyes took no notice. His mind was as empty as his eyes as he simply walked away. He had no goal of a destination set, he simply walked.
++Baztek has left the area++
((well this is basically a few sentences stretched entirely out into two paragraphs *sweatdrop*))

Masina watched as her words had seemingly no impact on him. She almost thought he was going to stay for a moment, before he turned away and began to leave her in her place, alone. Her heart dropped and shattered as she watched his form slowly fade into the trees and underbrush, silent tears falling down her cheeks. She raised her maw to the air and let out a howl of sadness as his form disappeared, announcing her pain and her loss, though no one seemed to be around to hear it. She had hoped he would stay, that he wouldn't leave her behind.. he had stayed that long, hadn't he? She was so sure that he would have stayed. Well, everyone's wrong once and a while.
She sighed to herself, lowering her body to the ground and resting her head on her front paws, watching blankly the spot he disappeared into. She almost thought it was a trick... that he was testing her or something, but her gut and her intuition were telling her otherwise. She whimpered slightly, wondering if she had said something wrong... blaming herself for him leaving... and wondering if she had done something different, would he still be here, next to her.
Her thoughts swam as she stared blankly into the distance, hardly paying any attention to her surroundings. Silently, she wept, as she lay on the soft grass beneath her, her thoughts the only thing to break the silence that had finally consumed her.
