Allorah took a drink from a sparkling blue river. It refreshed her energy, as she had not drank for a day. Allorah was a loner; she couldn't stay in one spot for long at all. All she could do was stop by, drink hopefully, perhaps she could hunt without being chased off of the territory. Small droplets of water dripped from the loner's chin, landing on the soft ground. Maybe if Allorah could just find a hare or some other animal to eat, she wouldn't be hungry. She had gouged herself on a carcass of a deer the other day, and it had lasted her a while. But soon she would need to hunt again.
Allorah pricked her ears, trying to catch a sound of a running hare. After failure of that, she smelled the air. There was a faint smell of a rabbit. She put her nose down low, trying to track the scent as best she could.
Allorah spent a few minutes following the rabbit through the forest. The scent went from hours old to minutes old, and soon, before Allorah, was a plump brown rabbit chewing on some grass. Allorah down down, and started stalking it. If it didn't see her... Like a jinx, the rabbit must have heard her coming with its huge ears. Allorah wasn't going to let it go that easy. She rose quickly, and ran after it. The rabbit could sprint, and run faster than her, but Allorah could chase it for longer. The rabbit continued to run, with Allorah on its heels. Allorah quickly took a dive for it. Ungracefully she rolled once when her teeth came in contact with the rabbit's neck. That had snapped the rabbits neck, giving Allorah her meal. Allorah began to rip it apart as fast as she could. There was a pack of wolves on this territory-- she could smell them-- and she wasn't sure that they'd want their food to be shared.
Allorah ate the whole rabbit, bones and all. Already she was beginning to feel uncomfortable in the territory. She needed to move. Allorah rose, and made her way, unnoticed, through the forest, into the plains where she'd be safer. She trotted far across the border into the territory that belonged to no one.
((Allorah has left Toko Forest.))
