The little one ran without thought, without care. Sini hid her hurt from her beloved friend as she flew above her, warning her for dangers like always- and Lucy leaped and swerved with ease like always. Her green coat was getting speckled with mud, dulling her coat as much as the bright lime could be dulled. In midair, as she watched, she returned to her normal, more natural form- her bright, stunning blue jay form. She was more used to this form- she was always more clumsy in other forms, even if it was barely noticeable.
Their new companion clicked his tongue- the sound making her beak turn to him, her little eyes peering down, watching. The brute scolded her friend for saying what she had, and instantly Sini could feel shame prickle in her Lucy's fur. She couldn't smile with her hard beak- but she felt that warmth as her little green pup spoke.
"Aaw, well yeah..." Her ears flattened, embarrassed. She slowed a bit, then caught up in the next moment, "Well, I didn't mean it like that... I just... I know... I love Sini- I would never ever ever want to replace her or anythings... I would never... forgets that... It'll just be nice to have another wolf like me 'round..." She wagged her tail nervously- and Sini let out a small call, making her skid to a stop. She heard Kerrigan claw his way up a hill- heard the dirt and small pebbles fall into the mushy, watery ground.
You can do it, her friend told her in her mind. She nodded to herself and leaped up- then tore herself the rest of the way up- half crawling half clinging to the degrading slope. She smiled at where she heard Kerrigan stop and shake out his wet fur. She grinned and followed in suit, even though the watery mud didn't bother her.
"We there yet?" She woofed, tilting her head to the side with her ears forward, alert, eager.

he purred in amusement, blinking cat like orbs at the small green fae even as the boulders that had stood before them turned into dens as Kerrigan rounded one and the hole that led to the underground sleeping areas became visible. He stopped and grinned, pleased he'd thought to clean out most of the dens. He flicked his ears back and cleared his throat, refraining from ruffling the head fur of the youngster to reassure her. "Donna feel bad, youngwolf. Sini kens ye luve her and me as well. Jus' donna take 'er fer granted. I hae made tha' mistake a wee bit more then pleases me," he said, a shadow passing over his eyes before it disappeared and he bounded back toward the dens. He shouldn't remember those thoughts. Depressing things weren't his style. His paws bad thumping sounds on the packed earth that made this little island in a sea of swamp. Though the marshes didn't bother him, sometimes firm ground was good for a soul. He leaped onto a boulder and flopped down, perfectly at ease in this domain. He stared down at the new wolfess. "Och, choose ye a den, me lady," he barked teasingly, crossing his front paws ready to watch her do just that.[/blockquote][/ul]

wasn'tnly, she knew. She felt pulled to the area, she felt bound to it. Her pelt prickled with excitement as she took in her Alpha’s words. Her tail lashed back and forth eagerly, and she pranced after him- nearly crashing into a rock- having only followed the sounds of his pawsteps and his voice. Sini let out a loud bird-squawk at her. Her rump hit the ground in an instant, keeping her from hitting the stone. Her whiskers twitched, her nose wriggled. She was a bit too close there.
She stood up timidly, tromping backwards and swerving around the rock to follow him to the dens, her clear-blue eyes sparkling in the light. She was excited- like a pup ready for their first hunt ever. She opened her mouth and took the largest breath she ever could have taken through her mouth and nose- absorbing the area with all of her senses she had. The dens had the faintest scent of other wolves on them… But they seemed empty now. Her mind prodded Sini’s desperately wishing to see it for herself.
The bird’s feathers ruffled as she settled on the hard ground of the camp. She didn’t respond to her Lucy, because she knew the whining she would have to listen to. And the green fae took that hint well enough. Her head swept around the camp, her ears taking in Kerrigan’s words. She had to pick out a den… She could scent the scents of a fae here, and a fae there…
She woofed at her bird friend- hearing the sound of her shifting again before fluttering over to her and landing on her back. She was light, really light. She must have picked a really small bird- from the buzzing of her wings, she assumed she had changed to a hummingbird. She was glad that Sini would help her pick out a den, even though she knew her friend preferred not being underground at all. She padded down one tunnel curiously- it had only the scent of Kerrigan, but it wasn’t strong… So it should be alright. She came to a cavity- the ground was softer than outside, but not squishy wet. She flopped down and stretched out- Sini fluttered up and away, settling on her flank.
”This’ll work, don’t you think?” She asked, her tail still wagging. It was very nice here, it was cosy but not crowded. Plus, it would keep her dry from the rain. She loved it already. Her tail thumped loudly against the ground a few times, before Sini flew off her as she stood. She nodded, and snuck back out to the rock where Kerrigan was now. She stared up at him as best she could without knowing where he was exactly.
She grinned, her whole body showing happiness. ”I found a nice den, Kerrigan,” she told him, her head raised high out of pride. ”If you don’t mind, though, I’ma kinda tired. I ran all the way to the marsh today, and then all the way here with you… I could use a nap…” She dipped her head again, her ears flicking. She wanted to explore and run around some more, but her legs were about ready to collapse on her. She didn’t notice how tired she was until she had checked out her den…

Sini eyed Kerrigan carefully, but relaxed when she noted that he was a good Alpha, and he wouldn't leave HER Lucy unprotected. She figured he was probably saying that to make Lucy feel more in the pack then anything. Judging by the wave of emotions she felt from their connections, he was doing a good job. To your nest then, my Lucy. The response was nothing less than priceless.
She was quivering from nose, to ears, to paws, to her tail tip. Her bright blue eyes were staring in the direction of Kerrigan, her Alpha, her pack member... It was such a wonderful feeling- she felt as if she could fly! Smiling, she dipped her head, still shaking from excitement mixed with exhaustion. The neon green wolf smirked brightly, her tail wagging, and told Sini in a bright, smug thought, I know, I know! No need to tell me, I'm a big wolf now, I gotta pack! She lifted her head in a proud manner.
"Okay Kerrigan! You have a nice nap!" She woofed, her whole pelt shook in a furious, single motion, and then she swung around and pranced down to her den, her tail sweeping one way and another as she went, excitedly. Sini didn't follow, but Lucy knew she would be keeping watch above ground.
It was a fulfilling feeling as she laid down in the den, closing her eyes, though they need not be closed for it made no difference to her- her eyelids got heavy just like every other wolf. She lay there quietly, and drifted off to sleep- to her dreams, where she often could see. Where Sini flew by her side as a friend, and not a guide. Where she moved without a care... And now, where Kerrigan was with her- though she never saw him in her dreams, he was always a step behind her, his voice echoing through her soft ears. She moved across the wet marsh with him and Sini, excitedly. It was a wonderful, curious dream, that took her paws to places where she could see, places where she was even more happy than when she was awake. It was a place that made her know she was complete inside. She was a real wolf now.
