Synopsis Of Thread: O'Malley is the new brute entering the Marshland territory. Chevara is there to greet him. |
The tall black wolf poked his head out of the hillside burrow he had created, and mentally scowled as he surveyed the white, barren terrain. Shaking his fur, he stepped out completely and adjusted his ears, listening for any nearby movement. Finding a single source, he began to move forward towards it, his only good eye watching for abrupt movement. A blur shot out at his side, and he snapped at the rabbit as it frantically ran from him while he bounded after it, trying to keep up on the icy terrain that the smaller mammal was so accustomed to. He finally slipped on the snow and tumbled as the rabbit dashed off into the snowy distance. The brute sighed hopelessly as he rose to his feet, melting his fur off by increasing his body heat. He turned his head to the sky and muttered to himself, "I just had to set up a place out here, didn't I?"He shook his head and began searching for new prey in the desolate, seemingly endless stretch of white.

Chevara padded forward as she watched the brute flounder trying to catch the rabbit that so tactfully eluded him. She smirked to herself as she padded to him and sat, curling her many tails around her paws and folding her flowing wings to her sides. Even though there was hardly a gust of wind, her fur and her wings still swayed as if there were a breeze caressing her fur.
"Hello. Who, may I ask, are you?"[/b] She smiled at him, though she still held dominance. She was careful to be kind to him due to the fact she was no longer on her own lands and that she was on the proclaimed 'no mans land'.
She, a newly claimed Alphess, held her dominance as so, though she didn't hold it overbearingly. She looked down at him as she waited for him to reply.
The sky above had gray clouds swirling around, giving a sign of a possible winter storm to come. Chevara flicked her tails calmly, sensing the storm and pondering whether or not she should alter it or if she should let nature take her course.
This got her to thinking of other ideas, such as throwing the other pack lands out of their normality with her abilities and demanding respect in the process in order to make herself known. She smirked inwardly to herself as she thought of this.
I shall put this off until a later time. For now, I will concentrate on this newcomer.

The black wolf abruptly stopped, every hair on his body standing on end. He slowly turned his head toward the femme so he could look at her with his good eye, and blinked, paranoia taking over. He began to edge away from her slowly, so as not to be noticed as he studied the femme, trying to keep the crunching of the snow as quiet as possible. She was rather impressive in appearance, but the black wolf thought her stance was a bit too calm.
His eye relaxed slightly, feeling a bit more relaxed once he realized he was about three feet farther from her, a trail having been etched into the snow from his original point. His eye darted up to the sky, and he scowled once more. Usually the brute enjoyed storms, but he despised winter storms. Not to mention he wasn't in the best mood at the moment.
"O'Malley is my name. Who're you?" He asked with a slight cold tone.
He sat on his haunches as his tail curled around his forelegs rather stiffly, as he waited for a response.

Chevara watched the brute edge away from her and she laughed inwardly, though her face held no emotion whatsoever. His cold tone made her laugh even more inside as he obviously didn't know her stance was one of an Alphess.
Her face and eyes still expressionless, she replied with the following. "If you must know, I am the Alphess of the Nigori Marshlands."[/b] She said only this information to him, which was more than she would give most wolves. Normally, she was one to avoid divulging information about herself, but she figured this brute needed to know she was Alphess and she didn't mind word getting around about her position. In fact, she hoped others would find out soon that she was Alphess, it would give her a leg up and a step further in becoming known, though still unknown. She liked that idea.
Chevara watched the brute, taking in his features. She noticed he looked at her with one eye, so she assumed his vision was impaired in the other. How unfortunate... she thought as she watched his movements. He seemed to be on the slightly cowardly side... or paranoid. Paranoid seemed more likely as she watched ever so slightly.
She had replied as she watched his posture... he was stiff and rigid, as compared to her calm and cool pose. She waited for him to reply, her pure silver eyes boring into his, no pupils, no iris, just silver.
