Why am I still in these lands? Obsidian wondered soberly as he slowly prodded through the night, his eyes droopy and tail low as a result of the loneliness that plagued him from day to day. The volcanic wolf could not figure out where he was or where he was going. After departing with this beloved friend Ayden, Obsidian decided to go upon a journey of his own----in order to learn and comprehend the world around him. Sadly though, for the longest time there was nothing for him. He was shunned by other wolves, ignored by any other animal or creature he encountered. All Obsidian wanted was to make a defining interest in other wolves' lives.
As he continued to tread through the moonless night, disoriented and confused, Obsidian came to a place in which he had not seen in years. A great circle of rocks opaquely sat under the starlight.
"The Sacred Circle..." he whispered, instantly lowering his head in respect for the wondrous place in which all of the packlands convened. "How on Earth did I get here?"
Obsidian had not been to this place since he was a puppy so many years before. In fact, he had always believed that it was prohibited to be there unless it were a sacred function or gathering of all the packlands.
As Obsidian crept closer, he could see the complexity of the place and could feel the energy housed within the scenery. It was almost overwhelming for him.
No sooner did he reach the edge of the rock circle, a dim ray of light cascaded from the heavens like a shooting star. Against the black starscape, this incandescence seemed to overpower all of the other stars.
With gentle force, the object descended and thudded in the center of the Sacred Circle, stirring up a cloud of smoke and dust. Within the void of clouds a blue shimmering light shined directly upon Obsidian----dousing him under a cerulean veil of light.
Without any unease, Obsidian crept past the exterior of the rock circle and cast his eyes upon a blue spherical orb. Upon its surface, the peculiar insignia of a cross-like star writhed in the rays of a sun shined brighter than the rest of the object.
Underneath of the insignia, peculiar markings engraved upon the surface spelled out mysteriously.
"Celestia..." whispered Obsidian----reading the characters to himself.
