She had been with the Marshlands for quite some time, keeping mainly to herself. Granted, she loved the idea of being alone, but she knew that she should try a little harder to be part of the pack, instead of sitting around and eating food. Kerrigan had treated her like a pack member... Lydia hadn't exactly returned the favor.
In this thought, she slowly stood and walked silently toward the den area. There was scraps, merely bones of the previous meal left. Deciding to hunt for the pack and actually do something, she began her prowl. She always had to kill the creatures completely and make sure to drain them enough to where her "abilities" wouldn't give her away. She hadn't eaten much of the animals, but often drained them enough to where they were filling enough for her... and still discreet about who she was. She had much practice at this while on her travels and was fairly confident she wouldn't be revealed.
She caught a rabbit and a possum before returning to the dens, leaving the offering in front of Kerrigan's den to show her support for the pack. He would get first choice of the meat, and she knew it. Besides, she had her fill already and would be fine for a few days.

KERR!GAN .. alpha of nigori marshlands [/sub] .. . He smiled slightly and grabbed the dead animal with gentle jaws. He said with a thump and stretched his legs out, placing the carcass on them and proceded to rib the creature open to get to the meat his body needed. The possum still rested in front of his den but he'd leave that for Lucy or Lydia, who ever needed it. [/blockquote][/ul]

Lydia scented the air to find Kerrigan had returned from wherever he had gone. She sneered to herself, at a loss for what else to do, and padded toward his den. She noticed one of the animals she had left had been taken and felt a sense of pride well within her, glad to have at least helped her alpha in some sense. She always kept her nose in the air, ears wide open and eyes constantly searching in order to make sure she was never taken by surprise and never under the prospects of an ambush. Her dark fur rippled over her muscles as she padded forward, quickly and gracefully coming within sight of Kerrigan's den.
She slowed her pace to a more wolf-like speed and flicked her tail. Her crimson wings were folded delicately to her sides as she sat outside his den, daring not to enter. "Kerrigan? How is your meal? I hope it satiates you enough." Her smooth voice drifted into his den as she spoke. She didn't often speak up, but she had nothing better to do at the moment, especially since there weren't any other pack members and she had made her fill with blood... not that any of her two pack members knew her true identity... she hadn't mentioned it once and she had grown quite capable of creating a highly believable facade throughout her 151 years of undeath. She sat calmly, her blood-dipped tail curled around her blood-dipped paws, covering her long, dagger-like claws slightly. She waited for a response from Kerrigan, half expecting to be ignored, half expecting a response. She hadn't gotten to know him well enough yet in order to figure him out completely, but she would, all in due time, as she did with any wolf she encountered.[/blockquote]

he murmured, the Scots brogue thick in his deep tones. He gave his ears a satisfying flick to disturb a fly. "Thank ye fer 'he meal, Lydia. Bu' twill le've 'he o'her prey fer Lucy. Wee lass needs it more t'an I," he offered his own conversation, sliding his flanks down so he sat regally as she had. He let his tail rest behind him and he leaned down to rasp his tongue over the lime before tilting his head at it. His lime markings surged and the blood smoked before crumbling away from his legs and his muzzle. He snorted, pleased that he was clean once again. He let his gaze travel back to his packmate. It was funny really. She believed he hadn't noticed the fact she didn't eat. Like he couldn't feel she was different. He was an idiot, and he payed attention. She was strange, but it didn't bother him. He and Lucia were safe with this wolf. If she hadn't done something yet, she wold be no danger to the pack. He knew her unusual when she had joined, and he accepted that. In due time, he'd know all. Kerrigan was cool that way.[/blockquote][/ul]

Lydia smiled at Kerrigan, her teeth bright white against her dark pelt. Two of her teeth that often barely showed on her maw when it was closed, now stood out greatly against the rest of her teeth. She licked her chops and shook her fur, the white scarf that trailed around her neck in constant motion drifting lazily behind her back.
Her wings were folded to her sides... she hardly ever used them. So, Kerrigan had enjoyed the meal she had left for him... that she was glad of. Having thought for a moment, she realized how little any of the pack knew of each other... and Lydia was always up for learning new things about other wolves. She flicked her tail to create a little movement to her statue-like form and spoke.
"I'm glad you enjoyed your meal. Not a whole lot happens around here, does it? If only there were other members in the pack... Perhaps we should go scouting at some point? I almost wonder if we should go meet the other packs as well and see what we might be up against should anything hostile seem to want to happen. I know that the Mountain Alpha is very forward and always seeming to look for a good fight and a good conflict... and let's face it... this pack is by far the smallest in the lands. I know there are several loners out there that are just waiting to be persuaded into joining a pack. Perhaps you, or someone you may appoint out of Lucia or myself, could go out and round up these loners and attempt to see if they would like to join the ranks of the Marshlands. I'm sure we have plenty to offer." Her voice was calm and smooth, as always. Her posture was cool and collected and nearly unnaturally still... she made it part of her usual routine to make small movements to give ease to other wolves. How still she was normally seemed to always make other wolves uneasy.
She hadn't spoken so much in all her time being in the Marshlands than she did now and it was very out of the ordinary for her, but she had nothing better to do... Perhaps this would cause things to get a little more interesting within the packlands if she brought up all of these points and ideas...

. How unusual was that? Not that she had never spoken, but normally she stayed her distance from the group, was silent around him or offered one word/short statement responses to anything he said or asked. Her opinion had never made a large introduction, even when she'd asked to join the pack. And since she never spoke but to offer sound comments, he listened well to her. He smiled slightly, nodding his head brusquely to her words. She was correct, in all her statements except one. "Aye, we verra well need more wolfs. I ken 'his as well as ye do, Lydia. Bu' i' isnae a simple ma'er jus' ta set off an' leave 'he terra," he said seriously, angling his ears back slightly. "'He resul's migh' be well, bu'...we hae so few, and jus' one wolf gone means t'ere be a' e'en few'r numb'r ta protec' it," he responded, his voice low and thoughtful. He gave his fur a shake. He didn't like having to be so far south he had no pack, but maybe it was better that way. No one wanted to go into the marsh packs territory. He glanced back at Lydia and raised one lime spotted eyebrow. "Ye 'hink any moun'ain lord c'uld 'ake me in a fight'?" he woofed, his lime markings sparking at the insult she probably hadn't meant to give. He wasn't angry at her, just the fact she thought he should worry about some bloke. He was most likely bigger than the beast anyway. Small pack or no, the death of their alpha would send the pack home again. He shrugged his shoulders and the lime faded. "It is 'ard, I ken tha'. Bu' 'here is only tew o' us ta look fer more. We cannae leave Lucy on 'er own."[/blockquote][/ul]

Lydia listened and noted his every word. Of course she had thought about the fact that the pack would be left with fewer members... but how else were they supposed to get wolves if other wolves avoided the area like the plague? Lydia had encountered her keen abilities every now and again and she knew that she would do well to bring members to the packlands. It was just a matter of... would she have to use her abilities or would they come willingly? She smirked a bit at the thought before replying to Kerrigan.
"I agree... leaving any member of the pack alone is not the best idea... but what about how wolves are avoiding the lands? Not to mention, I know for a fact that other wolves are treading these lands. I'm sure you realize how many loners are roaming about?" She smiled at him, not intending to doubt him or contradict him, but it was in her nature to either remain silent and keep her tongue and thoughts to herself, or to come out and say what she had on her mind.. in this case.. she was saying what was on her mind in a very silky smooth voice that was in no way meant to sound rude or disrespectful. "And I was not doubting your abilities against the brute of the mountains. I was merely saying how much larger the pack is than our own... This pack is by far the smallest in the lands... even the lands to the West... the waterfall lands... are growing in number." She smiled, her voice still silky smooth and calm. She looked around a bit, wondering where on Aelyn Lucia had run off to, but she brushed the thoughts from her mind. She turned her piercing amber gaze back to Kerrigan and continued. "If you would like, I could go scouting for other wolves. Only with your permission, though. I'm sure I could convince a wolf or two to join our ranks." She smirked again as she flicked her tail and shifted her weight. She was surprised as to how much she was speaking, but she also was surprised that nothing had been done about the words she spoke in the first place. A pack was as good as its members, but even the strongest packs in the smallest numbers can still be overpowered by the largest packs with the weakest wolves... one single ambush from one of the larger packs and the Marshlands could very well be taken over. She wasn't about to speak this out loud, however... She didn't doubt Kerrigan's strength, nor her own... but she also knew that if the numbers were right, they would fight to the death... and that is precisely how it would probably end. "I mean no disrespect in any of my words, as I'm sure you know, but I do want to stress how the odds would be against us by sheer number. Strength-wise, I think we could do well holding off... however, number-wise, we're greatly on the lower half of the spectrum in that category." She smiled and bowed her head lightly in respect to her Alpha.[/blockquote]
