Iki pressed his nose into Kalypso's neck fur comfortingly as she told her story, trying to hold back tears. He barely knew her, but somehow he felt a connection to her, like Kerrigan and Zephora, but to him it seemed stronger.
Lydia, she was a cold fae, but Iki could come to like her he was sure. Kerrigan, his deep baritone, and weird speech that was a little difficult for him to understand, was the alpha, and a good one at that. Zephora, she was a beautiful wolf, and seemed to love Kerrigan with all her heart, she would be Alphess, Iki decided.
And then there was Kalypso, dark and gorgeous, he couldn't get enough of her scent. It was just so, feminine. He followed after Kerrigan, Zephora, Lydia, and Kalypso when he asked "When we have picked a den, may we get a tour?" He asked politely, wanting to be able to recognize their border scent and get a feel for this land.
Then another wolf arrived, this one in the most submissive position possible, almost as if he was afraid to get beaten for just being there. He looked over to Kalypso and stared at her for a moment before turning to look at the new wolf, he didn't greet him, for fear of stepping out of his place, but waited for Kerrigan to say something to the wolf.

Kalypso nuzzled her nose into Iki's white neck, thanking him for his kindness and comfort. She was bombarded by his sweet, magnificent scent. It was very masculine and it made her feel protected and safe. She had to force herself away from his pelt. It would have been odd for her to just stand there sniffing the brute's fur.
It made her feel better when he was close by, the brute had a sort of comforting feel about him. If she was feeling down, Iki's mere presence lifted her back up. They had just met, yet Kali could feel a bond beginning to form between them. A strong one at that.
The fae stood from her seated position and shook the excess water from her pelt. She began walking after the small group, along side Iki, when a new wolf appeared on the scene. He was a rather interesting one as well. His pelt seemed to mimic the ocean bottom. She paused in her step and tilted her head to the side in curiosity. The fae looked to Iki, as if for some explanation. He didn't seem to have much clue, either.
As the brute asked to be part of the pack, Kali nearly called out 'Of course you can!' She was able to keep it to herself, though. Like Iki, she didn't want to out step her boundaries. Especially since she was so new to the pack. Kalypso contented herself with staying near Iki and looking to Kerrigan for his ruling. She was sure he would allow the brute entry to the pack.

I smiled to Kerrigan as I saw the look within his eyes as he gazed at me, closing my own as he returned my nuzzle, finding his scent enticing and the very scent I wished to never forget. I chuckled softly to myself, lightly lashing my tongue along his cheek for a brief moment before I then took to listening to the stories of the others. Their stories were sad, yes.. Much like my own, but every wolf has their trials and tribulations for a reason. If they hadn't gone through those hard times, I knew they'd not be the strong canines they were today. Surely I'd not be the fine female I was now if I hadn't lived the past that haunts me, I know this for certain.
I paid heed to Kerrigan as he told me of the canines I sat with, smiling pleasantly I graced each of them with a glance of my eyes as they spoke before looking back on over to the interesting femme at Kerrigan's other side. It felt good to know I'd not be the only female, despite the fact that I usually wasn't the friendliest around female acquaintances. But you never know.. this pack was different from any other I'd been around or in.. Maybe I'd be able to befriend her despite her gender.. maybe she wasn't like the others..
Soon enough another male came in, and his posture screamed of how lowly he felt. Some would have felt sorry for his pitiful stature, but I took it as humility. BUT was that truly what it was? I looked closer at him, and soon realized that it truly was submission. He acted as if he'd been badly beaten, as if he felt he were lower then the scum of the earth and unworthy of our company. Kerrigan and the others had all begun to move, but I turned about and glanced back at this new male, padding over to him only to stoop my muzzle beneath his own and lift it, my golden eyes meeting his own. "Please... no need to cower.. No harm will befall you here, my friend." I told him, giving a light swish of my tail. I then waited for him to rise before I turned and walked back up alongside of Kerrigan, waiting for the male to catch up. Iki's voice met my ears again in a question and I cast a glance to Kerrigan. "I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to get a tour.. What do you think, my dear Kerrigan?" I asked, smiling to the dazzling male that strode alongside of me.

He'd just begun to move when the presence of another tickled his pelt and turned his head. Another male, another wolf. How busy they had become! It was odd that not three days ago the lands had been silent and nearly empty, loners avoiding it like Nigori sent plague to everyone. A sorry affair. But now, they had two new packmates today, his darling Zephora, and this....creature. Kerrigan tilted his head at the approaching male, absolute confused at his state of distress. His body cried out that he was of no matter, and to please, please, god please, don't hurt it. The massive brutes nose scrunched up as he peered around the wolf. Surely it wasn't he that caused this youngwolf so much fear? He had done nothing yet, barely noticed the cowering brute for how small he was making himself. The submissive pose made the alpha's teeth hurt. He wasn't going to take a snap at the poor male just for treading in his territory! If he did, he'd have ripped into the other two.
As he thought, his surprise making him immobile for precious seconds, the female at his side bounded forward. Kerrigan gave a low curse, turning his body abruptly and splashing after her. Submissive as the wolf was, Zephora didn't need to run up to the damn beast. It may not be safe. His ears pinned and he flicked a peeved glance at the white fae, nudging her with his nose almost forcibly to get across his point. He let the audits angle upwards again and he lowered his skull to peer at the low lying wolven. "None will cause ye 'arm, broth'r. I promise ye 'his," he rumbled, lime eyes soft as the brogue that flooded his voice. His tail gave a soft swish, sliding over Zephora's side as it did. He was still a bit miffed at her, but she most likely wouldn't listen to him. He wasn't completely daft.
He lifted his skull as he remembered Iki has asked a question. He peered over his shoulder, partway turning to see them better. Zephora's words fled through his ears and he held in his disgruntled emotions. He'd forgotten that mate also meant sharing. "Aye, o' course ye may. Tis yer 'ome now, ye can go where ye wish," he woofed lightly, a small smile flickering across his lean muzzle before he turned back to the small, multi-hued wolf. "Ye be welcome ta join us, laddie. Uh..I mean Leorian," he said, recalling the male had given him the name. It came out slightly jumbled, but well enough to be understood. Kerrigan lifted an eyebrow, the dot upon it moving as well. "Rise ta ye paws, lad. Ye can pick yer den wi'h 'he oth'rs," he said kindly, giving the small wolf a soft nudge on the shoulder to send him off in the direction of the other wolves.
"I be Kerrigan. 'His is Zephora. She be Lydia, he is Iki, newly joined, as well as Kalypso," he murmured to the male, muzzle angling toward each wolf in turn. "Welcome ta Nigori. Now come along. We hae a schedule," he woofed to everyone, amusement in his tone at his own joke as he bounded forward back to the head of the bunch. He peered at Zephora, his earlier upset already forgotten since it hadn't been important, and tilted his ears slightly. He didn't look back at the others though, since, of course, they would be following him. He let himself move at a steady, easy lope that would make sure everyone kept up. They were not too far from the camp, and for that he was happy. Dens for all and soon, so those who were new could become acquainted with the land. It was a good day for the marsh pack.

Leorian raised his head slightly, his body still remaining in a very submissive pose. He got up far enough so that his body was no longer dragging against the muddy ground, though is tail remained tucked firmly between his hind legs and his ears remained flat against his skull. He let loose a small whimper as the brute approached, which quickly turned to a small yip of excitement at being accepted within the packlands. That wasn't as hard as he thought it would be as he made his way along, being sure to keep his posture much lower than everyone else. He wasn't about to show any disrespect within the lands.
"Thank you, m'lord." He managed to utter to the large alpha before they began their trek toward the den area. He had found a home.... hopefully... and there seemed to be a few fairly nice wolves he would be able to help and live with. Perhaps his life was beginning to look up... perhaps he wasn't as worthless as he once thought he was. His hopes brightened, which showed brightly within his oceanic eyes. He had the chance to prove himself and to be a part of a pack that seemed to accept him and approve of him... for the first time in his life, he had found even an ounce of approval. His spirits were higher than ever now.

Kalypso glanced to the new wolf, Leorian, as he joined them in the walk to the den. The fae left Iki's side for a few moments, and went to the wolf's side. "Hello Leorian. I'm Kalypso," she said, greeting the newcomer.
She walked along side him, trying to make him feel more comfortable with the pack. Kalypso offered him a broad, tender smile.

My vision flashed as I saw something move, and as I looked, I realized that it had been my darling Kerrigan that had shot himself alongside of me. He was being protective, and in being so, had shot me a rather irritated look. Despite the fact that I usually would have shot one back or made some smart ass retort or have brushed past him as if to say 'I don't need you'.. I was touched by the gesture rather strangely and chose to submit my will to his own. I lowered my head only slightly as I twisted it off to the side, letting my tongue slide along his lower jaw in apology. I hadn't meant to offend or startle him, and hoped that he could forgive me.
He and this new wolf spoke for a while, and soon enough we were back on our feet moving yet again. I stayed as close to Kerrigan as he would allow, travelling right at his side. Such a strange feeling. Before I'd entered these lands I'd never had the urge to be at someone's side and love them at all, if anything I had always been ready to pack up and leave to go on my journey to the next place. But as I looked over at Kerrigan and then looked back at those that followed us as we travelled, something within me hummed with a soft voice 'Home'. It brought a smile to my maw.
I listened as Kalypso introduced herself and took to thinking of she and Iki. I wondered silently to myself if the two would soon form a mated couple, for they seemed rather close as it was. What at wonderful thing it must be to have a true mate that you love with everything in you. As I thought these things I glanced over to Kerrigan with a swish of my tail, letting its tendrils brush his flank briefly before I sidestepped and nuzzled into his neck briefly before looking back to his face. He'd make a wonderful mate, and though I wanted him, I couldn't help but wonder if he wanted me too. I thought so, but one couldn't be sure until it'd been said. I smiled back at him, then looked back ahead again, knowing that the denning area was close by. We were bringing them home, and it was a place I knew they'd love.
