WolfHeart, a skinny little wolf appeared out of some forests. He was running. Running away from what he had just witnessed. He had to get away from those Loners. He got flash backs of his mother.
He saw her laying there, in a pool of blood, her blood. He stopped and looked at his paws. He saw his brothers and sister backing up towards their father whimpering and cowering as the loners closed in. He was too afraid to do anything but run. He remembered his father's face when he saw WolfHeart run into the forest.
He remembered his mom, being struck down by the loners. They weren't loners. WolfHeart thought. They meant to do that, they weren't going to join. They were going to take over.
He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. I need to find another pack! WolfHeart told himself. He stood up and walked forward, his head hung low and his tail between his tails. Then, he heard rustling in the grass to his right.
He stopped and turned towards the sound. He slowly backed away as the rustling became louder. He didn't recognize the smell, so he pulled back his lips in a growl.

Stars winked in the sky above, a nearly full moon casting pale light over the meadow. Everything stood out in an eerie relief, every shadow darker under the moon's light then the sun's. Not really a night for stalking unseen, then again it never really was her night for that anyway. Cast in nearly every ghostly shade imaginable, she was pretty much visible in every landscape except the snow arctic, and that was a place that she had never seen. Soft footfalls carried her slowly across the meadow toward a stand of trees that were visible in the distance. At least a forest could offer her some semblance of cover. The thickly furred plume of her tail rustled against the grass, creating a soft and soothing hush that followed her as she moved onward. The sound made her smile as flicked one round ear backward to listen as the hushing blended with the soft chirp of crickets and the sigh of the wind.
Peaceful. Something she could appreciate after the chaos she'd created and then abruptly left back home. An abrupt exhale of air left her nose in a snort as she briefly contemplated that thought. Ah the joys of family. Above the quiet night symphony of the meadow she began to hear the soft thump of paws against soil, her wayward ear pricking forward again along with it's mate as she swung her head in the direction of the noise. There goes that peace.... Her brows came together in a frustrated manner as she watched a skinny young wolf come barreling out of the forest and then continue through the meadow with his head held low and tail between his legs. A good way to go about things if he wants to get jumped. Sulking was never good for a lone wolf, all it did was make you look vulnerable and weak.
Caught up in her thoughts, she almost jumped out of her skin when the scrawny thing began growling at the bushes. Really? With a quick humph of air she stretched her legs forward, moving from a meandering walk into a ground eating lope that quickly closed the distance between herself and the younger male. She made sure to come towards him from the front and slightly to the side where he could easily see her. Last thing she needed was a jumpy wolf snapping at her. "Find something interesting there?" Her clear voice rose over the other's growling, navy blue eyes turning between him and the offending bushes while wondering what could have put the male so off balance.
ooc: sorry if it's choppy and irritating to read. It's been quite a while since I've done any of this. It'll get better. I promise.

"Find something interesting there?" Said a voice, scaring WolfHeart. He spun around to the voice he had heard. He saw a white wolf sitting in a small clearing. 'Er - I thought I heard something.' WolfHeart quickly mumbled loud enough for the other wolf to hear. He took a few steps forward and sat down. He wasn't sure if the other wolf was docile or friendly. 'I've come to find a new pack. I lost my last one.' WolfHeart explained. The wind stood still and the long grass barley swayed in the moonlight. WolfHeart looked in the other wolf's navy blue eyes. Her pelt was almost a pearl in the starlight. The sun was just rising, the sky was a tiny hint of orange. 'I am WolfHeart, and you are?' WolfHeart asked. Now feeling kind of stupid and rather ragged looking, he quickly cleaned his chest and face. Maybe I look pathetic. And tired, and lonely. In fact WolfHeart was pathetic, tired, dirty, and lonely. He missed his nice warm den and his brothers and sisters, especially his mother and father. He stilled had the loners scarred in his mind. The teeth, the blood, the look his father and siblings gave him when he ran. He still couldn't believe that had happened. He couldn't believe that happened to him! Why him? Why was his family a target? Anyways, he was becoming unfocused, drifting. He pt all his attention back to the mysterious wolf.
Reason for Editing: Not long enough.
