A bright smiled washed over Aquiel's face at the very moment she saw the large lumbering wolf. His difficult accent almost eluded her, but thankfully after observing other wolves Aquiel had learned how to distinguish the different dialects. Thankfully being in Kerrigan's presence did not cause nervous emotions to spark on Aquiel's part, instead she felt quite confident contrary to what she previously felt.
"Greetings honorable Kerrigan." Aquiel bowed respectively in the presence of her Alpha.
The memory of her life in this pack land seemed to redundantly surge through her mind. While she wanted to be apart of the Nigori Pack, another part of her really wanted to get out and explore the other pack lands.
"Well Kerrigan I will cut to the chase...do you think it is possible for me to be a Betess in your pack land?" Aquiel politely brought to attention.

he said, his voice rough with exhaustion. Abruptly his eyes kindled and narrowed. "An' shame ta ye fer bein' so greedy as ta only join a pack bu' fer one thing. A rank. Low, I say, low," he rumbled, pinning his ears, his lime markings taking on more life now that his temper had been roused. "I care no' who ye are, ye will watch yer tongue an' no' just expect things to fall into yer lap. The position will be earned and tha' is the way it will be," he said, voice nearly a growl. He wasn't angry so much as appalled that he'd been called only for this. He gave his skull a shake, mumbling under his breath, "Tá tú as do mheabhair*." He sighed out a breath and turned his gaze back to the female, eyes nearly as tired as he felt. "I doonae mean ta be rude, but the question was as such," he woofed, flicking his audits back in displeasure. He liked honesty but not when it took away manners or was ill fit in a conversation just started. * you're out of your mind [/blockquote][/ul]

Aquiel's eyes grew large and her ears laid back in utter embarrassment in the presence of the mighty Alpha. She finally realized just how impolite her question was---it was far too fast...not to mention random. Aquiel often loathed moments like those because there was nothing more she despised than her own social awkwardness. A part of her felt that the Betess position was gone for good now that she displeased Kerrigan.
"Please forgive me honorable Kerrigan...it has been a long time since I made requests to anybody...let alone talk to anybody. I tend to be a bit socially awkward." Aquiel apologized sincerely as she bowed respectfully.
Aquiel especially felt embarrassed in Lydia's presence, she was hoping to somehow impress the aged wolf---instead she probably ended up disappointing her just as much as she had disappointed Kerrigan. For a brief moment Aquiel felt as though her hopes of being a part of wolven society was slowly shattering around her.
"If it is at all possible...I would love being a member of your pack, Kerrigan...I feel that I could contribute a lot." Aquiel whispered very lightly, still trying to hold some ounce of honesty in her voice.

His breath sighed out as the female appeared more dejected that he thought warranted. Told him how much she really meant her apology. Or she was an overreactive wolf, but he really doubted that one.
