Akela nearly crawled on the ground. Her rump quivered with her nervousness, as she tried to flatten herself on the ground. The smell of other wolves was strong in the air. Akela cursed her brother. He had talked her into joining a pack. Being on her own had been harsh, though her pudginess suggested otherwise. Akela growled at the thought of such things. How was she going to join?! She had nothing to offer. OK, so if the pack ever got desperate, they can kill her and feed her to their enemies. Somehow, Akela doubted that she'll ever stick around long enough for that to happen. Just in case, she made a mental note to not mention her own power. Best to be safe then sorry. Redirecting her mind to the original subject, Akela figured she might bring some good to the tribe. She knew what plants where edible and which weren't. Then again, this was a pack! They had enough wolves to hunt, they probably didn't need vegetation. Sighing, Akela accepted the fact she had nothing to offer... well nothing she'll let happen.
She opened her muzzle, trying to make a sound. Nothing came. Coughing to clear her throat, Akela tried again. This time she succeeded in making a shaking howl. It was a message loud and clear that she was on the lands. One that also said she was no challenge, and she wished to join.
When the howl faded off, Akela held still. She looked around, her jade green eyes wide. Her ears where laid flat on her head, as she flattened herself lower. Akela gulped, it seemed unreal that she was Dion this. IT was so far out of her comfort zone she doubted she could ever walk back.
