Just as the sun was beginning to dip itself beneath the edge of the horizon, and the fading light cast large shadows over every tiny leaf and twig, a slender figure slunk about upon the outskirts of the forest. Crimson eyes were ever watchful as they slowly entered unfamiliar territory. Muzzle rose towards the sky, it's delicate nose gently scenting the air for signs of authority, as it paused briefly for a moment. It seemed that although there was no Alpha present in the packlands, there was in fact a Beta, and a Beta suited him quite fine.
He strode forwards upon the border of the Toko forest region, his tail swishing the ground just as his flank reached the first tree. His eyes darted about all over the place, taking in all the new scents and sounds and visions. Truth be told he was a little excited, having only recently been travelling, and a little nervous about meeting others. He had been a loner for a period of time now, and was used to the one wolf pack lifestyle.
However if he was ever to find a mate and start a family, he would prefer to do it in the safety of a pack. This Oddly coloured wolf, with his ringlets of ruby fur and black rimmed eyes, was not at all stupid. He knew the ropes, and he knew them well. His eyes told every newcomer that, and his educated manner of speaking. The crisp tone of sarcasm told any newcomer that he was also not to be taken lightly.
I'm the newcomer here, he thought to himself as he absently lifted his back paw to scratch an irritating itch upon his right ear, tongue panting slightly as he did so. Then he stood tall and proud, if a little too skinny for his size, and took a deep breath. An echoing howl reupted from his throat, bold and intelligent, showing him for who he was, letting the other wolves know that a stranger was on their lands. Perhaps others would come to meet him. Perhaps they would like him, perhaps not. He didn't care.
All he knew was that εli was in the Forest.
Word Count: 395 Ooc: =3 finally got around to a starter post for εli, let the fun begin!

Yuki lifted up her head as she smelled something off. Or new depnds on how you looked at it. In Yuki's case new. Who is that? Should I check it out? she asked herself in the middle of her training. She still hadn't told Minou or Corinth about her talent. She still kept is as much of a secret as possible. She sniffed at the air again and located the general direction the new smell was coming from. Then she recalled the ice wall that she had made abd forced it back into the ground. She did want to end up fainting infront of a newcomer because she had left a rather big wall made of ice unattended and it drained her until it couldn't call upon anymore of her power.
Then she ran. She loved to run after the thrill that her ice ability gave her. Her fur was still frosted with frost by the time she got to the border. The frost in the heat made a small cloud of fog around her. She shook her body and only made it worse. She chuckled and decided to use it to her advantage. She walked up to the newcomer wiht her cloud of fog. She tilted her head at the newcomer and did a small circle around him. Checking him out, and making sure that she could till how to take him down if he attacked her. Just a habit she had made over time. She didn't say anything but once she had finished her two circles she stop infront of him and sat down on her haunches with her head tilted.

Silent. Stealthy. Well, not exactly stealthy. Sort of stealthy. Ok never mind about that. He was silent, slightly stealthy, as his lanky body moved swiftly, almost flowing like the rivers he had crossed in his search for a home. Crimson eyes danced about in his skull, looking around his new surroundings. Yes, he was two years old and such things shouldn't have excited him, new places. But he was looking for the perfect home, and the perfect home had to include everything.
A distant, unfamiliar scent grazed his nostrils and he paused, ears pricking upwards as his eyes widened in realisation. He was being watched. Friend or foe though? He was pretty sure he should have had warning before others started stalking him, and it was definately a wolf. Though he or she had not attacked yet, and would not have made their presence known if their intentions were impure, so he relaxed a little.
Still, his claws gripped the ground a tiny bit, signifying his instincts telling him to use his gift, before the claws slackened and he sighed a little. Then he saw the fog, his eyes widnening in surprise as his head snapped this way and that, clearly unnerved a little by the sudden frozen mist. The temperature had also dropped, odd. This could turn bad quickly, yet time was on his side.
"Show yourself, be you a member of the wolf pack that traverses these lands? Or must I render you helpless, if you are an unfriendly wolf that enters my presence"
He spoke clearly, with a slight sharpness to his S's, and a tone of bitterness and warning in his voice. He did not like being watched and if said wolf was unfriendly, he would not have to wait long for a scrap.
Words: 300 Ooc: =3. He's a little odd with the speech atm, I'm still working out the kinks hehe

"Me? Unfriendly?" Yuki asked asked in a very feminine voice as she shook herself and cleared the fog. "I am Yuki, a subordinate to this pack. And you, young pup, couldn't take me down easily." Yuki responded as the fog cleared and made sure that this pup could see her. "The ice is my element that was why it suddenly got cold and the fog came. It makes it easy to check out new members and scare off unwanted visitors." Then she shook herself again. She would wait till Minou or Crinth came before she did much else.
"Since I have given you my name may I ask yours?" Yuki asked with a small curious tilt to her head. "I definatly haven't see you before. So I guess you are a loner looking for a pack." She said more as a statement than a question. She circled Eli again just to make sure that she could find any weak points if he attacked, even though Yuki knew that he wouldn't attack her. As she walked a trail of frosted over grass appeared in her wake. Once she had completed her circle she went and sat back down in front of him. Then she sniffed at the frosted over grass and rubbed the cold blades against her cheek. Despite the coldness that always followed her, the training that she did heated up her body.

His first reaction upon her reply was simply a harsh, low growl of irritation and warning, lowering his head and baring his teeth. Let the fae know that whilst she may be stronger than him, he wasn't just going to roll over and wag his tail like some human-trained pup. His eyes glowed a little and this time he actually did knead the ground between his claws, little furrows in the earth, and obvious sign that he was using his power.
Around the two, time slowed, a bluebird flapped its wings hovering in the air, each wingbeat taking a second or two to cpmplete. It was a sight to see if any. Eli gazed at it, a small smile crossing his features. Of course he was proud of his gift, it synchronized with his brothers. On occasion when he practised his power, he thought of them. Never too often though.
"Do not think I am so helpless either" He warned the fae, yet when she came into view and decided to show herself to him, he felt his breath catch in his throat.
Her movements were deft and by the looks of her she was deadly yet cautious. Her stance was wary, but she wouldn't take any nonsense. Her beautiful, unmoving eyes were set in a glare. With this analysis, Eli returned time back to normal, lowering his hackles and then giving the fae a somewhat sceptical look. It was evident that she wouldn't attack him unless he made the first move, and he was in no hurry to go around picking fights. Instead, he rose from his crouched position and gave her a respectful nod.
"Yuki...I am Eli and I wish to join the Toko Forest pack. Is there an Alpha within the lands that you would take me to?" He spoke warily now, though the fae would not attack him he was still unsure of how she would react to his odd demand.

"From what I can see you are not helpless, right now." Yuki agreed, however she did not want to add anymore because she saw the bird that was taking a long time to flap it's wings. Then it started moving at normal speed again. She watched as the bird then flew away, then noticed that he was now watching her. Then he asked her about Corrinth.
"Well sad to say this Eli but I have no idea where Corrinth is. However Minou, our Betess, I think I may have seen her on my way here. I needed to speak to her anyhow." Yuki said and then she heard something in the bush. She turned her head and looked more closely. Then she flinched as a fox came out and attacked her. Before the fox hit her however she had activated her element and her ice shield formed, but not into the shield she would normaly use. It turned into armor on her body and the fox just bounced off the thick ice with a yelp. Yuki then gave a low growl at the fox and it backed off to where it came from.
"Why are you staring?" Yuki asked as she shook her body and her armor vanished into thin air as if it was never on her body. "See something you like?" Yuki asked with another tilt of her head.
((OOC- Is it a good thing that eli was checking out Yuki?))

He stopped for a moment, regarding her with a wierd look set into his muzzle. She seemed to be smirking at him?! At first, he was enraged, his eyebrows creasing together in a frown and he almost started growling, but then he realised that he had been staring...wow now he felt like an idiot. A slight flush appearing upon his cheeks, he averted his eyes, the glow upon his cheeks illuminating the red rings around his muzzle even more. He was acting ungentlemanly, now that was definately not characteristic for Eli, however she startled him. He hadn't been expecting a fae, even though it was a feminine voice he first heard, and her appearance stunned him even more.
He blinked in surprise as the fox suddenly sprung out on her, it must have been mad or something. Foxes normally didn't go after wolves. and not so suddenly as that, yet she was beautiful in her swift handling of the fox, forming an ice shield like armor around her then evaporating it as quickly as it came. He almost did a double take.
He resisted the urge to reply to her last question with a sly, suggestive comment and instead concentrated on what she had said first. No alpha in sight? That was odd, yet the betess was present. Now here Eli was beginning to have his first doubts. What if this was simply a fae-heavy pack? That might be a bit much for him. Even though he wasn't to object to having a lot of females around, he grew up with boys and wasn't exactly keyed up on 'girl language'.
"Uh...hehe" He managed to stammer, he really had no answer to that. In truth, did he see something he liked? True she was an attractive wolf, but Eli was not one for love at first sight. However if she proved to be as dangerous as she appeared, he might happen to fall rather fast. Eli was rather picky when it came to things such as that.
He cleared his throat with a short, quick cough and decided to stay on the topic of finding an authority...for now.
"Yes, might I speak with your Betess then as the Alpha is not present?" He asked.
Words: 381 Ooc: Hehe it can be however you choose it to be hehe xD.
