Basira wandered in the Toko Forest. Her lime colored paws padded through the thick foliage, stepping over roots and other plants. Her vibrant eyes scanned the area, looking for any sign of life. The fae had been journeying for so long, it was time to settle. This place seemed perfect for her.
The scenery was magnificent. The only thing she could do without, though, was the sticky tree sap. It clung to her fur, making it sticky and tangled. She licked at her pelt, trying to rid herself of the sap, it didn't budge. Basira sighed in annoyance. The fae continued on, her paws treaded lightly on the forest floor.
She arrived a couple yards away from the den, not daring to move further. Basira sat upon her haunches behind a few bushes and waited. Her ears flicked as sounds from the forest sang to her their symphony. Her lime eyes closed, listening to the music of the forest.

She had been on high alert for the sound of anything out of the ordinary and she heard a sound she was not looking for. Silent paw thuds on the ground. Yuki knowing that she should have been alone on her little hunt. She stalked whoever it was till they stopped and hid in some bushes.
"Why are you here and what are you doing?" Yuki asked on her gaurd. She did not want to risk any injury. She knew that some wolves could attack without notice. Her ears were still alert. They always were now a days.

Basira gasped and jumped slightly, startled by the fae behind her. She turned, her lime eyes gazing at the white wolf. "I'm Basira, a loner. I am here to join the Toko Forest Pack, but I didn't want to intrude on their space. It's rude," she answered, surprise evident in her voice. She had simply been sitting there, observing the den patiently waiting. Basira refused to wander into the pack's den without being invited.
"And you are?" she asked, her surprise turning to suspicion and curiousity. What was this white fae doing here? Who was she? And most importantly, why had she been stalkng her? Basira was no threat, as long as she didn't have to be.
The fae sniffed to air, taking in a wiff of the unknown she-wolf's scent. She didn't appear dangerous, but looks can be decieving. Basira stood, turning herself to the white fae.

"I am Yuki, I am a member of this pack. I was hunting when I heard running. I am guessing it was you."
She sat on her haunches and relaxed. A loner wanting to join.
"If you want you can come with me. We could see what we can doing about getting you accepted." Yuki offered. Sometimes she could be just a bit too trusting but if this lime green loner wanted to hurt her then she had a suprise in store for her.

she murmured in her soothing tones, the liquid quality that matched her kind eyes and gentle colors. "No need, Yuki. Thank you for inviting her into the land," the blue said, smiling. She then turned to the new wolf and tilted her head in greeting. "I am Minou, betess here. As my pack mate has already done, I'd liek to welcome you to Toko Forest."[/blockquote][/ul]

The fae looked to the new she-wolf as she entered the small clearing. When Minou inttroduced herself as the Betess, Basira bowed her head in both greeting an submission. If she was to join the pack, the fae would have to show respect to her superiors. She didn't mind, though. A smile graced her lips as she was accepted into the pack.
Basira was amazed that that was all it took for her to be accepted. The fae had expected for them to give her a task or put her through some test to see if she was adequate. But, no. The Betess only had to speak a few words. She couldn't have been happier and it showed. Her lime green eyes lit up and her smile was wide. Her tail began to wag slightly, as well.
"Thank you, Betess. I'm honored. I'm Basira, it's a pleasure to meet you," she said, excitement clear in her voice. "What can I do to thank you for your kindness?" Basira raised her head, looking into Minou's eyes.

Yuki bowed her head as the Betess graced them with her presence.
"Hello Minou. Are you enjoying yourself this fine day?" She asked her head still bowed slightly.
She listened to her new pack mate. Her stomach growled, she was right in the middle of hunting when she had followed Basira.
"Pardon me, I have some needs that I need to attend too." She bowed to Minou again as she left. She was hungry, needed food and she smelled a nice deer nearby. She caught the trail right away and she started running towards the deeper part of the forest. It was a bull deer and it was just big enough to satisfy her hunger. She leaped gracfully and bit the deer's throat, breaking it's neck getting rid of any excess pain. She ate her fill then spent some time cleaning the blood off of her muzzel. Once she was done she slowly started to walk back to Minou and Basira.

Corrinth had been watching the graceful form of Minou as she greeted the new wolves. He kept thinking to himself how wonderful an alphess she would make, but slowly saw the hope of that ebbing away, even with his attempts at wooing her. Deciding it was time to make his appearance, he moved forward.
"Hello, Minou." He gave her a welcoming nudge with his nose before he turned to the wolves that were before him. Two new pack members... the very thought brought joy to Corrinths heart. His desire to have a pack of his own was finally coming true, though he still needed to find a mate.
"One thing you might want to know, you should never hunt the lands alone and if you do hunt, you should always make sure you hunt for the pack and not for your own hunger. There are rules and a hierarchy to follow." His voice was not scolding, just informing. He looked once more to Minou before turning his crimson eyes back to the new wolves.

"I shall remember that for next time Alpha Corrinth. It is my fault, I have not been taking care of myself like I should." Yuki apologized as she returned. Her nightmares now fresh in her mind. All the running, killing, and being killed.
"I am Yuki," She bowed her head. Should she mention some of those not very important details? like her shield? She had not used it in a while.
"I don't need to worry about being protected. I would rather save others than let them lose their lives for me. That is not something I deserve anymore," She admitted. "Only high ranking wolves deserve that privilege. Unfortunatly I lost my pack. That is why I am here." She thought about the past but pushed it aside with the shake of her still slightly bowed head. Her sheild was ready for anything and for some reason it was unleashed. It was about to protect her but she, like her memories, pushed it aside and kept it hidden.

Basira bowed her head deeply in respect as Corrinth, the Alpha, entered the clearing. She averted her lime green eyes to the grassy ground below. Her white and lime tipped ears were plastered against the back of her skull. The fae wanted to show her obedience to her knew Alpha and Betess.
Basira allowed her lime eyes to look up at the two authority figures. First her gaze looked Corrinth up and down. He was pitch black, like obsidian. His crimson eyes gazed from her to Yuki. They held authority, agressiveness, and a subtle happiness. Perhaps it was because his pack was finally growing into a large clan.
Her lime eyes turned their gaze to her Betess, Minou, now. The Betess pelt was a wonderful shade of blue, but what caught Basira's attention was the long line of feathers running along her spine. They were a magnificent blue, much like her beautiful pelt. Basira found them, beautiful and unique. She had never seen a wolf with feathers before. Well, there was a first time for everything.
Slowly, Basira raised herself from the ground and nodded her head at Corrinth's commands. That's how it was supposed to be, to hunt as a pack and for the pack. Finally, after all went silent, Basira found it best to introduce herself to the Alpha. "Greeting, my Alpha. My name is Basira. I am honored to be considered part of your great pack," the fae said, her head bowing again. "I look forward to my new life as a Toko pack member."

Corrinth nodded his head in greeting to the two wolves. He looked to Minou once more before he turned his gaze to the two wolves before him that had begun to speak.
Both seemed to show respect for their authority figures, even though the first one, Yuki, had hunted and ate without thinking of the pack first. It was a first time offense, and Corrinth had enough compassion and sense to know that she was in need of the food. He let it go this time.
"That's alright. Just remember it for next time. There is usually plenty of food at the den area, so you needn't worry about going hungry or not being taken care of in my pack. And its nice to meet you, Yuki." Corrinth added the last line as an afterthought. He gave her a respectful nod, his eyes holding compassion and knowledge within them. Its not that he knew of this females past or why she was the way she was, it was a knowing that he understood the hardships that many wolves went through and that he understood the needs that some wolves had.
"And don't say you don't deserve to be protected. Always in my pack, the needs of the pack members come first. You are just as important as any other member and will be treated as such. Don't let yourself think otherwise." He shot a kindly smile her way before turning his attention to the other female that stood before him.
"Hello, Basira. Welcome to the Toko Forest pack... and you too, Yuki. These lands are your home now." He smiled at them both, welcoming shining in his eyes and through his every feature.
