The skies far above the forest land seemed to part into two, and from the small gap came the grace of a shimmering, golden light. The light spread, shimmering and sparkling, across the branches of the white-wood trees, making them sparkle with the heavenly color. A laugh gently rolled through the sky and to the land, its sound uplifting and inspiring. The trees shook with its sound, their leaves casting golden reflections onto the ground.
The laugh echoed and rolled deeply into a booming voice, one that matched the purity of the heavenly color reflecting all about it.
”I have called…will there be none to answer it?” The hearty chuckle boomed again, ”Any may answer, and I await you.” The gold colors of the sky shimmered with waiting as the voice called to any who may reply.

Light blue eyes shifted and darted as she padded though the land. It sounded empty and hollow to her own audits. But then, the alpha was gone - and for no good reason - so it had a reason to remain silent and still. Her pale paws made little sound on the earth of the forest, the shadows of the trees dappling her smooth blue coat. Feathers rose and fell like the tides of the sea on her scalp, her back and her tail. The long feathers on that appendages brushed the ground, leaving a thin trail behind her, centered in her paw prints. He blue tinted, black nose was low to the ground, breathing in the scents as she made the daily route around the pack lands, keeping it safe, and trying to make sure no one got in. But that nose lifted abruptly as the wind flickered and light pulsed through the trunks of the trees she called home.
Her ears flicked down slightly and she crept forward, uneased. Though other alphas and other betas had met with the ancestors, she had never even felt their greeting. She was new to the land, and even newer to the pack even though she'd been here for many moons. Because of this, Minou had no clue really what was going on, just in her wise way, the knowledge that it was bigger than herself. And as the voice drifted from the clouds, light and phatasmagoric, she understood it was the embodiment of all hope, all love, and all the sorrow that a being of this sort had to have. She looked up, ears pricked now, tail at rest and feathers arched curiously. Her wings slid out of her sides and she bowed to the one unseen to her and put snout to ground for a few seconds before rising and folding them. "Greetings, one of the sky. You have called?" she answered the voice with her own, soft one. Like water over rocks and the whisper of trees. Deep, liquid eyes blinked as she waited for a response. [/blockquote]

The gentle laughter, matching perfectly with the golden cast all around, rolled once more through the trees. He had known she would come, she would answer. The gentle breeze seemed to sway, picking up the light so that it would bend, shining the brightest upon the ground directly to Minou's side. If nature could smile, it would look like this. With a fluid motion, a golden wolf, gold through out his pelt, throughout his eyes, and even throughout his maw, sat to her side, smiling with a pure, golden smile. If the heaven's could smile, it would look like this.
"My dear Minou, I thank you for answering my call."
Though it would never show, sympathy for her was there with the golden guardian. The others who might have led these lands had left unexpectedly, unexpectedly for her. And now she was at a crossroads.
"My dear Minou, are you not the betess of these forests?"
His voice was as radiant as his smile, as cherry and jolly as his laughter that still seemed to hang in the air. Though he knew her answer, for he has heard it countless times before, and forever will hear it throughout time, the golden wolf asked, asked because she must hear it, because she must speak it.

she spoke, tilting her head, wondering at the question. She smiled slightly, knowing he already knew this, and that just added to the curiosity.[/blockquote][/ul]

The gold wolf smiled, if possible, even wider than before, his shimmering teeth casting tinted reflections onto the shadows of her fur. Minou, dear Minou, how her troubles were known. Golden audits flicked merrily in sync with the golden tail as he stood. Missing packmates was never an easy challenge, not when one could so easily feel so alone. But to be alone, and dutiful, the shining guardian had to view that with a sad perspective. But at the same, he smiled. He could see the changes, he could see the turnings within her life, within her future. And as he could see them, he lived them as well.
"Ah, and what a trying event, my dear."
He took a graceful step back, his golden paws seeming to find footing just above the ground floor, as if he floated upon his own shimmering aura. "But Minou, my dear, I offer you hope...or I do insist that you view it that way." With a smooth motion the bright wolf bowed his neck, his golden lids closing softly, casting sparkling reflections to the ground he faced. One foreleg held inward, his chest nearly touched the ground, his bow was true and sincere. "I would like to share with you the knowledge that I am Aures Un. Spirit of time and of space. One who walks with the ancestors of your lands as well as soars with their spirits. And I, my dear, have so eagerly called to you, to inform you of the gathering."Aures Un could not keep his face calm with his words, a bold smile still parted his maw as he looked up from his bow, eyes sparkling.

His posture rose with her promising words. Life sparkled within his eyes, sparkled of troubled times and sparkled of great times, sparkled of death as well as birth. Everything was life, everything structured and meant to be. Aures Un smiled more, if physically possible, as he shifted his weight from one golden paw to the next, his tail swishing lightly with his minor motions. If only she could see what he was this very moment! If only she could look at the course of time as he did, not through a single path but as a great mountain range, where one can look to the peaks or the birds, to the flowers or the clouds! His ears perked as his jolly mood seemed to burst from its golden confinement, causing the ancient guardian to prance backwards like a playful whelp.
"You must believe me when I say, my dear, that the pleasure is all mine!" His happiness burst forth from his deep voice in the tone. "And you must believe me when I admit, my dear, that I as Aures Un, could not hope for any other to attend in the forest pack's place." With this last statement his dancing calmed as he stepped close to her, his shimmering nose nearly touching her own. His brilliant eyes, sparkling and reflecting with the life around them, gazing truthfully into hers.
Why if only her feelings of shame and of incompetence would leave her! Aures Un could see them, could feel them, but said nothing. Golden tail dancing behind him, he looked to the pack members, entirely content with their first/second-in-command. He looked to their futures, and saw most vividly hers. And seeing this, he smiled through his calm gaze, he smiled slowly and almost shyly, as if hiding a secret from her.
His voice, booming and excited before, was now hushed in a calm tone, "Would you like me to show you, you have nothing to fear?"

”Ah, my dear, but why not? Why not take what I offer, take it and know, know fully, fully that you are what is right at this moment, and know that with that, there is nothing to fear?”
The golden beam that was his grin shrunk to a subtle smile of understanding. His ears were perched politely atop his golden skull as he sat with his golden banner wrapped gently around his paws. His heart raced with excitement and he did his best to calm it, breathing quietly and slowly; though it would be unlike him if he actually succeeded in hushing its rhythmic drumming. One might think, expect even, that any being with knowledge of everything that had happened, is happening, and will happen, in addition to the ‘whys’ behind them all, would not be as lively as Aures Un was. But he lived every moment of existence and death. He flourished and bathed in all time’s glory and happenings. Never could any sad instance in time dismay his beating heart or drumming veins. And though he knew her reply, he asked his questions, and though he knew that he could not calm his heart he still tried. For it was the actual happenings, not the results, that made time eternal, that made every moment one and all apart of it. As the thoughts raced through his mind he sighed slightly, silently though, for she was not meant to hear; none were meant to hear, only him.

• • • • ¡ M I N O U ! betess of toko forest• • • • . A small grin spread her muzzle, a soft expression. Her liquid blue eyes softly glowed, the shine of gold in them reflecting the light from Aures Un's pelt. "Why must I know? Life will always be full of fear, that I know well. I'd rather be hopeful of the future, instead of knowing it and dreading the outcome I mind hear," she responded, her feathered tail flicking. Her willowy legs moved across the soil, dark blue nails sliding through the earth beneath them both. She understood some things, and those she didn't she had decided to let those that guided them know. Minou knew that if she knew what he had in mind, she probably would try to change it. Whether on purpose, or because she was trying too hard to get there. She'd rather her life move as it was. Even though she was worried about her position in the pack, she didn't want knowledge he offered. She knew enough. She could always read or take from others minds if she wanted to. She was always hearing a slight buzz anyway, now that she thought about it. Sitting next to the golden wolf she heard....nothing. It was a good feeling to not worry about blocking loud thoughts so she wouldn't answer those and not actually spoken topics. She let her thoughts move back to Aures Un, not that they had ever moved from him really. She shook her head slightly, silken threads of her fur moving gently. "I think I should leave it as it is." Her voice was polite, but she'd made up her mind about it. [/blockquote][/ul]
