Riptide was laying in his nest near the back of the large den that held the pack. He was just laying there drowned in thoughts, but part of him was itching to go outside and run around. He rolled onto his back, put his head to the cold ground and started rolling around. Tide flipped back onto his belly. He gathered up a piece of moss and made a moss ball. He took the small ball and started to roll it back and forth between his two front paws. Riptide was obviously bored.
Tide stood up, shaking the moss, leaves, and other items that made up a nest, off of his shining pelt. The brute quietly padded over to the entrence of the cave, his claws clicking on the stone floor as he walked. He peered through the roaring falls, almost like he was trying to see something clearly. He lloked to his right and padded over to the exit of the cave. Tide looked out feeling the slight breeze of the day carry many scents. His light blue orbs scanned the landscape in front of him. 'I guess I have nothing better to do.' He thought as he walked out into the sun.
Riptide half wished that someone would go for a wolk with him and discover more of the territory. He padded away from the waterfall, head down. His paws lead himto a small clearing beside the river. He looked back up river, he could still see the waterfall, and hear the sounds of water crashing against water. Tide peered doen into the water looking at his own blurry reflection. He brought his head back up and looked aorund, hoping that some-wolf would walk out from behind the bushes.
After a while of waiting and making sure no one was around, Riptide started to make a beat with his paws on the ground. He tapped a rock with his claws, wipped his tail back and forth across the ground, and pounded the ground with his right back leg. He tweaked his beat, then words started to flow through his head. "Lookin' back on," he started, but the words and his tempo weren't in sync. Hw stopped sweeping his tail, instead he thumped it against the ground, making a low beat.
Then he got, the words in his head, and the beat the he made finally fit together. Then he started to sing. "Lookin' back on when I, was a little nappy headded boy. Then my only worry, was for Christmas, what would be my toy?" He let the beat take him away. "Even though we sometimes, would not get a thaaang. We were happy with the- (short pause) joy the day would briiing. Sneeakin' out the back door, to hang out with those hoolum friends of miiine. Ooohh. Greeted at the back door, with 'boy I thought I told you not to go out side. Tryin' your best to bring the- (short pause) Water to your eyes. Thinkin' it might stop her from whopin' your behiiind. I wish those days, could, come back once more. Why did those days ev-er have to go? I wish those days, could, come back once more. Why did those days ev-er have to go? 'Cause I loved them so." Riptide started to sway his head back and forth. "Do, do, do, do, do, do, doo, do, dooo."

Kei slinked through the trees after the strange figure, she didn’t know who it was but she hoped it would be someone fun. Kei was almost dying of boredom lingering around the pack den and to see a wolf walking off alone was almost an omen to her.
Kei had been watching the slightly odd musical for some time now, she enjoyed listening to the strange noises having never heard a wolf sing before. Of Corse kei lacked the patience to sit and listen for extended periods so before he could finish kei had picked herself up and slowly begun to slink closer, her burning red fur dimmed to a slight brown helping her blend in quite nicely with the trees around her.
Kei’s soft snicker whispered through the trees but was drowned out by Tides singing, an evil plot had formed… Kei was now almost directly behind the oblivious wolf, a large ball of raging fire slowly building size within her locked jaws, Kei aimed carefully, she didn’t want to miss and ruin her fun. Riptide remained completely ignorant to Kei’s presence until Kei’s twisted little game unfolded, Kei threw a ball of fire only just under her full size directly into riptides backside sending him flying forward into the water. Making sure as to not burn him in the process.
Kei laughed maliciously before sprinting off deeper into the forest hoping tide would follow, she was bored and just couldn’t leave an opportunity such as this. “You shouldn’t jump in like that, anyone would have thought something had startled you!” she mocked “catch me if you can!”

Riptide felt a burning sensation on his backside, then he realized, his pelt was burning. He let out a yelp and flew into the water, aiming to out out the fire. After his plunge, his head resurfaced, and he spotted Kei. Her pelt was duller than usual, she must have tried to blend in with the surrounding so she could sneak up on him. Tide scrabbled yup the side of the river. He was soaked to the bone with freezing water. His pelt was dripping so he quickly shook himself to get rid of most of the water. Droplets of crisp, clean river water went flying everywhere.
He turned his head back to look where Kei had tossed a fire ball at him. "AAAHHHH!!!!" Part of Riptide's pelt was singed off. He gasped trying to believe that his fur was still there. He turned his head back fast enough to watch Kei dart off into the woods, barking taunting calls. Riptide pelted after her, for the first few fox lengths he couldn't see her, but then he was able to spot her through the undergrowth.
Tide let out a small snicker as he caught up. "I'm getting closer," He called out to her. "you better watch you back!" He started to catch up, but he wasn't close enough to tag her. He decided to use his lightning element on her. He charged up some energy and shot a lightning bolt out of his mouth. He made sure the bolt wasn't too big, to where it shock her death, but it was just enough get her attention.
Riptide was happy running through the pack lands with the beautiful Kei, but jealousy pricked his pelt. He knew Haven and Kei were practically mates, and he didn't want to interfere with their relationship. But there was another part of him that wanted to call out, a part that he wanted to tell Kei about how he felt about her, and how beautiful she was beneath the raging fire.

Kei laughed aloud as she weaved her way through the trees, she knew how out of place she looked in her environment but was still somewhat surprised out how quickly Tide had caught up to her. Kei smirked sly before pushing herself into a faster sprint, she was close to escaping him once more but she was shocked, literally, by a bolt of lighting that erupted from behind her.
Kei gasped surprised but the electricity was not enough to slow her for more than a few paces. “what the!?” Kei smirked, well if tide wanted to play it like that…. Kei jumped up onto the trunk of a tree before pushing back off onto a low hanging branch. She wasn’t very heavy so it was easy to stay balanced and far above tide. Kei formed another much smaller orb of fire as big as her paw before throwing it quite amused towards Tide, only just missing him, before jumping away to another branch and repeating the process.
Kei enjoyed playing with tide, it was a rare occasion that she could act playfully without being judged. Tide was really Kei’s only friend besides Haven…
Kei leapt towards another branch but lost her footing having been distracted by thought, she feel with a soft thud into a bed of yellow flowers and sneezed loudly. “Well… that was embarrassing” she laughed rolling over onto her stomach. “Hey Riptide!” she snickered.

Riptide snickered at Keis reaction to his lightning. He almost tripped up, because he wasn't watching where he was setting his paws. Then out of no where, Kei jumped up into a tree, she moved with grace. Riptide was watching her, he was amazed, and before he knew it, Kei was forming another ball of fire and she shot it at him. She missed, but she wasn't far off. After her miss she jumped to another branch, and another ball of fire was formed. Riptide quickly jumped to the side avoiding it. "You'll have to do better than that!" He taunted. The Kei slipped, he rushed towards her, but he was too late.
She landed on the ground with a soft thud. He was still a few fox-lengths away, but before he could walk over to her, she spoke. Releif washed over Tide. He looked up towards the sky. 'Thank the ancestors.' He prayed quietly to himself. He heard Kei call his name, and he took his blue gaze off the sky and looked at her with question. "Yes, Kei?" He barked before padding over to her. He bent down, with his butt in the air, and he made a funny face. He crossed his eyes and stuck his tongue out. Almost giving him a puppy-like face.

Kei grabbed Tide around the scruff pulling him down beside her before laughing lightly “look” she said gesturing up at the sky with her large red paw. A large gap between the trees revealed a patch of prefect blue sky flecked with shifting white clouds. “see that one, right up there. It looks like a duck” kei giggled resting both her paws on her chest. “What can you see up there?” kei turned her head and smiled over at tide. “first one to find a rabbit wins…” kei smirked glancing back up.
She hadn’t felt very relaxed since joining the pack, many of the wolves gave her odd looks and several wrinkled their noses as she passed. It wasn’t her fault she smelt like ash and fire… tide however had a habit of sniffing her, she didn’t mind this though. It at least made her feel like a normal fae…
“I was wondering where you had gotten off to, your hardly ever near the dens when I am” kei yawned sheepishly “anyone would think your avoiding me, tell me that’s not true now” she joked shooting Tide her famous maniacal grin. “or maybe your just avoiding the fact im so much cooler than you, no pun intended” she stuck her tongue out before pointing up at the sky once more. “oh look I found it, right there a rabbit!”

All of a sudden Kei grabbed Tide around the scruff of his neck, and pulled him down. "Whoa" he whispered to himself, not expecting to be pulled down. Once on the ground Kei raised one of her fire red paws to the sky. His gazed folowed her paw, then to sky, she was pointing at some clouds. She spoke and Tide looked at her then back at the sky. Kei was pointing to a cloud that looked like a duck, but at first it looked like a face to Riptide. "I think I see it." He told her. The fire wolf spoke again. 'The one shaped like a rabbit.' He repeated in his head 'The one shaped like a rabbit...'
The fae barked again and he completly took his attention off of the bright blue ocean that floated above them. He couldn't gather his thoughts quick enough before she continued. After a few more words, Kei smiled her maniacal smile. She barked again, Tide laughed, but it was hallow, this laugh contained no happiness just sound. When she looked back up at the sky, his gaze did not follow hers. Tide kept staring at her, still trying to put words together. Then Tide finally barked. "I'm not really trying to avoid you Kei. It's just that...every time when I see you jealousy prikes at my pelt because Haven is practically your mate." He quickly glanced away to look into the woods, then Tide turned his head back to look at the firey female, awaiting her response.
