He sighed, content. The feel of her soft fur against his was ecstatic, all he wanted to do was lie here. Like this, with Cinder, forever. Nothing in the world could make him move from this spot. His tail wagged happily before resting upon Cinder's own, twisting over and under it until their tails were intertwined like their own hearts.
"And we'll protect the pack too. Our family. Forever" He mumbled into her fur, turning his head slightly so that he could gently lick her ear.
"You and me Cinder. Us" His heart thudded, sounding loud against the smooth rock, so very close to his mate's. Her own heart felt much warmer than his own, yet she did have the gift of fire. He was suddenly glad to be here, to have even travelled here in the first place.
"I am lucky to have met such a wonderful, loving Fae" He whispered, not meant for Cindershock to hear him though he meant it with all his heart. He wondered what possibly would have happened if he had not taken the initiative snd live hid own life, away from the pack he had been brought up in. He shivered a little, taking himself back to the present.
"Oh Cinder" He sighed, before realising she had shortened his name again and he smiled in a goofy way.
"Zeph" He said aloud, as if musing about the name "I like it Cinder. Zeph" He repeated again, laughing softly to himself.

i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa35/Sigath/cindershock-1.png [/img] "Forever," she murmered. Her heart soaring with love. Cindershock was so happy, it was hard to think straight. She nuffled in his fur, so soft, so silky. She smiled to herself, though she was sure Zeph could feel it on his back.
Their tails were intertwined now, as were their minds, hearts, bodies, and souls. And everything in the world, just stopped, while they were together, it was eartheshattering.
"Us," she repeated. Cinder didn't care about anything but them. 'Us' she thought again. Them, together forever, she would never make fun of cliche's again. This place, this beautiful place, full of little waterfalls, and wonder. This place would be theirs the place where they had become one.
Cinder had forgiven her parents, and her pack, for abandoning her, for kicking her out, because she was here now, and without them doing so, she wouldn't have met Eden, Masina, Haven, Celestia, Durion, Riptide, Calder, and Zeph. She breathed out his name, last, but definatly not least. Their were more wolves, that she had yet to meet, but right now, they didn't matter, the only thing that mattered was Zeph, her and Zeph, together.
She hadn't relized she had kept shortening his name, to her little nickname she had created in her mind. She blushed a little embarassed, but he said he liked it.
"I'm glad," she breathed out. She was just barely speaking, just enough so that he could here her, if anyone else showed up, they couldn't. Cinder nuzzled his shoulder softly and gently. Breathing in his scent.

Zephyr closed his eyes, thinking only of the moment he shared, elongateing it, treasuring it. Making it last a lifetime. He wish it would. Unfortunately, the beautiful moment was interrupted just at the wrong minute by his irritating stomach, protesting loudly as to why it's hunger had not been slaked. He pushed the little thought down, it was of little importance now.
He sat up, cocking his head to one side so that he could gaze into Cinder's eyes. He wondered for a moment what she was thinking of, as she had a slight clouded look to her eyes. Perhaps she, like he, was thinking of her childhood. He pondered a little, realising he had never asked her, or any of the packmembers for that matter, of their lives before reaching the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow that was the Fukai Waterfalls.
He thought now, so many different wolves; Durion was a prime example of this and the old wolf never ceased to amaze him with his odd and fantastical stories. He had heard that when Durion told a tale, it was like being a pup again and that excited and also frightened him, in a strange way. So many storied to tell, each life in their pack a story.
"Darling Cinder, I love you, and yet I feel so terrible knowing so little about you. How did you come to be? Did you grow up in Aelyn? Forgive me for being so curious but I want to know" His tone was gentle, inspiring confidence, yet the subtext in his words were also; you don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but it would be nice as I'm genuinely intrigued.

Cinder had never thought of telling anyone her past, it was a secret she carried within herself. She thought for a moment, if she shoudl unload on her new mate. She knew he had a right to know, but she wasn't sure if she was ready, sure she had forgiven her parent, because of him, but could she tell him of her past?
Cindershock took a deep breath before spurting out her story, it was almost like word vomit. "I was born into a world, far away from Aelyn, were there were packs made for their elements. So there was a pack for Water, Fire, Lighting, Earth, etc. My mother was from the pack of Fire, and my father was from the pack of Lightning. They both met each other by chance, not knowing the other was from the pack they most hated."
Cinder pulled away from Zephyr slightly, to tell her story, she lied down on the stone, right beside him. "They had 4 pups, my brothers and sisters. Their names were Adar, Adaway, Adad, and me. Adar, and Adaway, they had the power of fire, and Adad had the power for lightning. And me I had the power for both. So Adar and Adaway stayed in Fire pack and Adad went to Lighting."
She sighed heavily, this was the part that hurt the most, tears pricked in the corner of her eyes. "And I was kicked out of both pack, neither wanted me, why would they, I didn't fit in, to them I was a half breed, disgusting," She said bitterly. "I went on and traveled, and picked up the power of telekinisis on the way, a kind wolf taught me it,a nd helped me strenghthen my fire and lighting powers."
She was worried about the next part, she didn't even consider her former mate a mate anymore. "I joined a Telekinis pack, and they accepted me! I had a mate then. One day there was a war, between our pack and the Telepathy pack, and I unleashed my lightning and fire powers to help, but afterwords I fainted, from the overexsurtion, and they kicked me out of their pack as well, and my mate didn't even care, he didn't even say goodbye to me."
Cinder was crying full out now, it just hurt so bad, but now, now she had Zeph, and she loved him with all her heart. "And then I travled here, and found you pack, and now, now I couldn't be happier"
She smiled through her tears, looking up at Zeph thru her eyelashes. She hoped he didn't mind her having a mate before him, she didin't even love him as much as she loved Zeph. She stood once more and nuzzled him, waiting for his response to her story.

Zephyr listened to Cinders tale with a heavy heart and an upside down smile. How could she, in all her beauty in gentle nature, have had a childhood so lacking in love and attention, where he had not a care in the world as a pup? His ears drooped, feeling for the first time truly why Cinder was so kind, so ready to play. She had never been accepted as a pup, yet here in her pack, everyone liked her. He smiled a little at that. Yes, everyone liked her, and he certainly loved her.
He gave her an affectionate lick on the cheek a while after she finished her story, looking down upon her, his eyes breezing across her fur that ruffled ever so slightly in the mild wind. He sighed quietly, but this was a sigh of sadness.
"You will never be a Half-breed or an outcast here Cinder. I love you for who you are." He felt a small stab of jealousy in the fact that Cinder had had a previous mate before Zephyr, obviously she had fallen in love once- what was he saying? She loved him now and he loved her, nothing else mattered. And then her previous mate threw her away because of her amazing abilities, suddenly discarded like an unwanted toy. Zephyr could not imagine how heartbroken she must have been.
He leant down to lick away Cinders tears delicately with his tongue before looking deep into her violet eyes.
"You don't need any of them. You have us now, your new family. That old wolf was a fool to judge you by your powers. Even a silly brute like me could see you are...something else" He finished that last sentence with a hint of disbelief, but also a different tone to the rest of his speech. His tail flicked behind him, satting away a fly that had buzzed too near the pair of them.
"Thank you for sharing your past with me" He said finally, smiling at her.

Cinder's tear flow slowly began to stop, she was strong, and she would not cry over this anymore, it was history, and only that. It didn't matter anymore.
Zephyr's warm tongue came across her face, wiping away her tears and she smiled a watery smile. She knew he cared for her, and she knew she cared for him. So that was that and that's all that would ever matter.
"Oh, I know, it's silly of me to think that I will be kicked out again, but I still become afraid every once and a while" She condided in him, telling him her deepest fear. "Oh I know I am not a half breed. It's just how I was born and I will never hate having both powers." She smiled at him again, she still couldn't stop smiling, at him, her mate. Ah, her mate, Zephyr. 'Damn it Cinder, pay attention.' She thought to herself rolling her eyes mentally.
"Your right, I have you now. And I will always love you. And the whole pack, will always be my family now, forever and always." She said passonatly, staring up at him with her violent purple orbs.
He flicked away a fly, with his tail, and Cinder imagined that fky as her past, and he was flicking it away for her, getting rid of that pain, and all the udden, she felt as ifa huge weight was lifted from her heart, and shoulders. No more pain and hurt form the abandonment, and banishment, just pure love.

As he watched her Zephyr noticed a slight change coming over Cinder. It was as if she'd been holding something back and finally let it go. Perhaps, now that she'd told someone; him, of her past she could continue living in the present and forget what had happened to her. Now was for living, and she was with people who loved her and would do anything for her.
He gasped a little, shocked at her fear of being shunned, and a strange feeling came over in his heart. He had to tell her that was the same way he felt, how, though he appeared so confident and proud and full of wiles, he too was scared of the rejection and the banishment, though truthfully he had only ever once suffered the injury, and it wasn't nearly to the extent of Cindershock's suffering.
He unfurled his wings, stretching them to their full span, watching the feathers ruffle breifly before becoming still. His right wing he rested upon the floor where it was cooled by the spray of the falls and the cool of the rock underneath his feathers. The left wing, he spread out and laid over Cindershock, kind of cacooning her in a fluffy warmth. He smiled, as though his wing blocked out the harsh glare of the sun, the warmth and light still seeped through his feathers.
"I worry too Cinder. I could never handle rejection. Only once in my sheltered life have I faced that fear. Another wolf came into the pack with the power of illusion. My gifts were not nearly enough to stop my siblings from gazing at him, awe and longing in their eyes as he performed tricks for them. My cries went unanswered that day..." His eyes had a faraway look to them, remembering the feeling of being invisible, as the first autumn leaves began to fall and everything was blanketed in an orangey hue.
"But it was only hurtful as I so feared rejection. Any other wolf wouldn't have panicked as I did" He laughed softly at his own foolishness, though behind his golden brown cheeks there was the slight blush of shame.

Zephyr listened to her story, he didn't interupt, or put his two cents in, through the whole thing, he just listened, and for that she was grateful. Cindershock wasn't sureprised when he gasped at her insecurity. She knew it was silly to think that, but yet she couldn't stop.
He covered her in his wing, a security blanket, blocking out the harsh sun rays, and the bad thoughts. Metaphorically that is. She licked his wing soflty, thankful of it. She knew that there pasts were much different, but she didin't know how different until Zeph told her. He was a sheltered child, coldled and babied.
She understood this, her brothers and sister were as well, it was just her that got the short end of the stick. She heard Zeph's insecurities and it was almost hard to beleive, such a confident wolf, was really so self concious? But she apeared that way as well, so she understood.
She nudged his shoulder confortingly, and said, "I would have done the same thing, it is nothing to be ashamed of." She smiled up at him. "I love you, and the pack loves you, you have a family, and that is all that matters, nor will it ever change." She said, telling him his fears were nothing to fear now.
She looked out over the expanse of land, waterfalls, and grass. Just beautiful nature, surrounding them. "I love you, I love you." she repeated twice, reassuring him, that she did and always would love him.

Zephyr laughed, and in doing so he felt so carefree, so silly. His laugh echoed a little in their little dome, yet outside his wing nobody else could have heard it. Not unless they were standing but a few feet away. Yes he did feel very loved in the pack, though he had yet to meet all the members. He chewed his lip a little, troubled by this.
Masina was clearly worried about this Lucidity guy of the Misuteriasu mountains pack. He sounded purely ruthless, and Zephyr didn't want his pack, his family to get mixed up with anything that could result in wolves getting hurt. Yet as they were now, unsure as to how many members they actually had, and everyone running about freely- they were pretty unorganized and woe betide them if they were ever attacked. Zephyr shivered a little at that last thought, but someone must have been worried. Masina seemed a little edgy half the time and perhaps the discoordination with the pack hadn't helped.
"I love you too, and now..." He paused to look at Cindershock, his eyes melting again at the sight of her, looking up at him, with those gorgeous purple eyes. He gave her a soft, tender lick on the nose, his muzzle splitting into a huge smile.
"Oh god do I love you. But now I worry for the pack. Somethings happening Cinder. Some change in the wind. Perhaps you can feel it too?" He nuzzled her, yet a sense of foreboding worried him. He feared, as quickly as he had found her, he would lose her again. He feared that most of all.
"We have a nice number now, but I'm afraid I haven't met half the wolves in our pack" He sighed, giving a helpless, whimsical smile. Our pack, he liked the sound of that. Our pack, our family. "Perhaps you could introduce me my love?" He asked, giving her a soft nudge with his muzzle.
