Masina had gone out to patrol the borders and mark the territory. Her form emerged from the wooded area next to the lake as she spotted her newest pack member playing in the mists of the waterfall, much like Masina did when Glaukos was around.
She smiled to herself and spread her white and gold wings wide and with a quick burst of wind, she gracefully lifted to the skies and landed easily on the land next to where the wolfess sat. "Enjoying yourself?" She smiled as she looked at the female with her icy sapphire eyes. She wore a warm smile upon her face and nodded kindly to the femora.
"It's always beautiful here, all year round. From ever point within this territory, you can find life and beauty." [/b] She nodded kindly and curled her tail and wings next to her body. She took a deep breath of the fresh spring nearly summer air and sighed a contented sigh.[/blockquote]

Eden smiled as Masina joined her by the lake. "Yes, I agree with you. It's amazingly beautiful." The wolfess took a look around the the surounding area, but her silver gaze landed on Masina's angel-like wings. That was also a beautiful sight to behold. "Do you enjoy flight, Betess? Is it as spectacular as most believe it to be?" Eden bent her head, getting a better look at the white and golden wings. She was fascinated.
The femora looked down at herself and her somewhat plain appearance. The only thing that really separated her from an ordinary wolf, was her silver fur that ran up her left, front leg and the small silver slash beneath her eye. "I can only become the shadow, " she said as her fur began to raise and whip around like a flame. "But maybe someday, I'll be graced with the ability of flight." Her voice seemed to fade as the rest of Eden's body seemed to mold itself into a translucent, black mass. It moved all around Masina in whips of black tendrils, putting on a small show. After a moment, the shadows rejoined until it materialized back into Eden's form.

Masina smiled and listened to the femora beside her and felt a small pang of sadness for the female because of her lack of flight. It was an amazing feeling and Masina wished she could share the feeling with the female, though she was fairly sure she knew of no ways.
"Flying is amazing. I only wish I could show you the feeling you get when you fly. There's no way to describe it." [/b] She smiled and sighed. Shortly after saying this, the female proceeded to show her abilities. Masina watched her, clearly impressed. "Your ability seems just as fascinating to me. Imagine what you could do to be able to meld into the shadows like you?"[/b] She smiled again and flicked her tail subconsciously. She wished more than ever that she could have more company such as this female, especially her beloved Baztek, whom she missed very dearly.[/blockquote]

The wolfess sighed as she returned to a seated position. "I can imagine," she said, a dreamy look overcoming her face. Eden had always wanted to fly, to feel the air as she flew by. She closed her eyes, daydreaming of flight. The female returned her silver gaze to Masina. "My ability does have it's perks. I may not be able to fly, but, when I'm in my shadow form, I get to experience a weightlessness, as if I'm just floating through time. Also, I guess, my ability gives me an easy way out of a bad situation or a battle. You can't touch shadow."
It was easy to find usful things for her unusual ability, but there were also the downsides. Eden wasn't very strong, she had to rely on her speed and grace to get herself out of trouble. The wolfess wasn't one for battle. Suddenly, Eden's stomach rumbled. Had her black fur not covered her cheeks, anyone would be able to see the intense blush forming. Her ears flattened to the back of her head. "I apologize. Would you care to go hunting for some breakfast, Masina? I greedily ate all of your left overs last night."
