I came upon the mountain that held the territory of the pack I was to request to be a part of. I started on my journey, which was destined to be treacherous. An hour later, I continued silently up the slope, in search of the Misuteriasu Mountain pack. It seemed the only pack closest to where my immortal life had ended. Stepping so lightly my feet barely felt the ground, I trekked on, weaving around trees and boulders. My nose was on continuous alert, twitching, trying to pick up the scent of any nearby friend, foe, or prey.
Suddenly, a mountain lion leapt down from a ledge and onto a flat slab of rock to the left of my path. I could have easily dispatched of it, but I simply....vanished.
The lion looked around in confusion. Surely it had seen and smelled an enemy. But there was not a trace, not even a lingering scent of a possible escapee. Disconcerted it turned away and resumed its seemingly unnecessarily interrupted hunt.
I came into view again, my image rippling into existance. Internally, I smiled smugly. At least my past life had given me this ability. I could disappear, at will, from any form of detection: sight, smell, sound. But, now, to proceed in my quest. I walked until the sun was three quarters across the sky. I stopped and looked back over my shoulder, my silver fur gleaming in the sunlight, and past my sleek wings, to see my progress. I smiled at the results. I could not see the specific base of the mountain through the trees, but I could see about where I had begun the hunt for the pack.
Turning, I persisted on. Finally, when the sun was just touching the highest peak in front of me, I picked up a scent line. I immediately stopped, knowing how territorial mortal wolves were. I lifted my snout and sniffed. I smelled distant wolves, surely the Misuteriasu Mountain pack. Who else? But yes, I recognized the scent from my spirit life. I'd been created hundreds of years ago (time passed more quickly in the spirit world), and had passed by this pack with my mentor on flights to askers of advice, though I had not helped to advise any of these wolves. Perhaps from one of the other packs.
I raised up my head and let out a howl, calling to the pack, asking for an invitation.

[/img] Carabella was on one of her daily walks, still amazed by her power of earth, she messed with the plant life. Blowing her magical breath on the plant life around her, making things grow. Just one of her favorite things to do. She climbed to the top of a small outcropping of rocks. It was a good ways from the den, and high up, moss and ferns covered the rock, making it soft on her delicate paw pads. Bella sighed her relief of being off the mountain stone, and onto cool grasses. It felt like heaven on her feet.
She sniffed the air, taking in the scents of her new packlands, and notcied a strange smell. It was one she had not smelled before and she was curious about it. Bella walked forward, following the scent with her sesitive nose. Wat she saw scared her, a Mountain Lion in the packlands?
Bella growled menacingly and crouched herself down, getting ready to spring at the beast. She ran at it and instead of attacking the beast just jumped right down from the outcropping. In surprise Bella tripped, she jumped to he feet and ran to the side of the outcropping where the lion had jumped down. She saw a wolf tere and she opened her mouth to yell at the wolf below to watch out, when it disappeared. Bella's eyes widend in shock, and she shook her head, trying to see if thre ever was a wolf there.
The mountain lion. disgruntled at his hunt ran off, and the wolf came back into veiw with a rippling effect. Bella reacd into the wolf's mind with her own, something about her past life, and spirit lives. Bella cocked her head in confusion and watched as the wolf raised its head and howled, probably calling to her pack. Well no need.
Bella called down to the wolf "Hello, I'm Carabella of the Misuteriasu Mountains Pack." She grinned at the wolf below her and went to walk back to the hash ground of the rocks.

Faolan (FAY-oh-luhn) waited for an answer or a sign of a wolf that is coming. His ears flew up and alert. He scented a nearby wolf. Then he heard, "Hello, I'm Carabella of the Misuteriasu Mountains Pack."
Startled, he turned to the voice. "Hello. How could I have not heard you? No matter. Of the Misuteriasu Mountain pack, you say? I have been searching all day for it." Deciding right then never to tell any wolf of his past unless required, he vaguely said, "I came from a faraway place. I have been on a quest to find this pack to begin my new life." Hoping she won't resent him for it, he added, "That's all I'm going to say for now." His ears twitched. "I am sorry. How very rude of me. My name is Faolan." He looked warmly at her. "Though I let friends call me Fao."
"Carabella, do you think you could take me to your alpha? I want to ask to join. Your help would be much appreciated." He wagged his tail in a friendly way and cocked his head. He hoped she would help him. He really wanted to join this pack.
"By the way, what's your alphas' names. I know I'm not even joined yet, but I would like to be beta, if the position is open." He smiles. "Don't worry, I'm not trying to take over your pack. I really am from a different land. Not from the other packs."
OOC (btw, sorry, even though I am a girl, my character is a male. confusing I know.)
My post should be long enought now. Thanks for the heads up, Fate. Must've missed that part in the rules.
Sorry, one more thing. I changed his name to Faolan, if you didn't get that yet.

OOC-Yeah, sorreh about the whole "it" and "The wolf" I couldn't tell by your post, as it was in first person XD. Yeah, we can do either one here, I like 3rd better personally, but some like first.
Okay and second did you read the rules? Your posts need to be 250 words at LEAST. Soif you could fix it I would greatly apriciate it ^^ It just gives the person replying to you a lot more to go with, just add details, smells, looks, thoughts, feeling, etc. It's really quite easy once you get used to it, your first post was beautifully done, so just do the same thing, eh?
THANKS!!!

Puzzled that she hasn't answered, Faolan's mind wanders. His eyes move over the rocky terrain, and he is thinking that he likes this type of land very much. It suits his abilities well. Not only does his silver fur blend in with the gray rock and cliffs, but he is exceptionally agile and surefooted. Even in the most rugged conditions he can move silently. He can't help but be a little smug sometimes; he is not a boastful wolf, but likes it when watching wolves occasionally admire his strange ability to move so gracefully and quietly.
He closes his eyes and concentrates with his nose, taking in the soft aromas around him...pine, dust, the scarce wildflower, the wild and subtle scent of the wind, the pack scent that taints it all....
Next he listens. He slowly swivels his ears around, taking in every sound with his sensitive hearing. His own breathing and heartbeat, distant trees' leaves rustling, sand being blown softly by the breeze, birds chirping and cawing, occasional rocks slipping against each other because of some unknown force, feeling the sand and pebbles pressing against his paws, and the ever-present wind ruffling his fur...... He sighs in contentment. He enjoys giving way to nature and sensing everything around him. It reminds him of his past life as a spirit, where wolf voices and unnatural noises almost never interrupted his thinking, his living, his existence.
But bringing himself back to the real world, he opens his eyes. he sees Carabella. She must be lost in thought too, he thinks to himself. He lifts his nose to the air and sniffs for real this time. He smells other wolves a distance away, and then decides to howl for the leader.
He raises his snout up to the sky and lets out a long howl, ringing with urgency.
