Mira cocked her head to the side. Her pups were going to end up like two buzzards fighting over an empty carcus. She shook her head in disapproval. But what could she do about it? She was out of the loop as far as she was concerned. Her tail caught on fire as a rush of anger ran serged through her body. That was it, she was done. She turned her body completely toward Lucid, her eyes fierce. The temptation to catch him on fire was hard to hold back. The temptation to drown him was even harder to hold back. Why she was angry, she wasn't quite sure. She hated being lied too... and there was something telling her that Lucid was lying to her. Or at least, lying threw ommision. And the fact that her pups were being used to figure out who was better than the other... She was close to breaking point. In fact, she was boiling over breaking point.
Mira shook her fur, she needed to calm down. And calm down quickly. Her tail fell behind her legs, creamy again, but her eyes were still fierce, showing signs of promise. "So you're saying that our pups are going to battle against each other to see who is better?" She glided over to him, her paws barely grazing the ground as she placed one infront of the other. "I'm not a traditionalist, but this time, I'm going with what should be. In my opinion, Crow should be alpha. He was the first born male after all, was he not?" She looked at him, as if daring him to disagree with her.

Lucid watched as Mira grew angry. It really didn't bother him at all, so his face remained as emotionless as ever. He flicked his tails, looking dead into her eyes as she spoke. He thought quickly, ready to respond to her thoughts as he knew she would react like this.
"Just because he is the first born male, doesn't mean he has the right to the throne, so to speak. Both of them have equal chance to the spot of Alpha within my pack, and I'm going to let them prove to me who they think is best. This doesn't mean they have to fight. This is building character for them, allowing them to see what it takes to establish leadership over the most difficult of pack members.. your own family. This will help them if they just figure it out between themselves, which is why they will continue to do so until I feel one of them can take a leadership position within the pack." Lucid flicked his tails and shrugged. He figured she would get angry about this as well, so he was preparing himself. He knew that she had calling over water and fire.. he could resist the fire easily because he had fire himself. THe water was just water to him, though he would defend himself should anything happen, as was proper and just, in his own mind.
He flicked his tails and sat without expression, his golden eyes the only illumination aside from the waning moon.
