Alright, this is my post with Cindershock, for Angie, if you know what I mean? I know the title says mind, I'ma try and fix that, This is heart.
Cindershock, alphess of the Fukai Waterfalls Pack traveled down the forest path alone. The ferns brushing against her paws as she walked, and the trees whistled when the wind blew. The oranges and yellows of fall had begun to peek in, mixed with the green of summer and spring. Her belly swollen with pups, her and Zephyr’s, she looked back at her tummy and smiled to it. Lately, she had been able to hear others thoughts, but only those of importance, those of love, those of happiness. Heartfelt thoughts. She could feel love, radiating from Zephyr, from Eden and Harbringer. She could even sense something blossoming with Ayama and Riptide. It scared her, and she had told no one. “Is that one of you?” She asked her belly as a pup rolled then kicked. She giggled, “Is one of you making me feel and hear these things?” Her eyes darted around worriedly, and she continued on the path to her destination. It would have been so much easier and quicker to fly, but in her condition she could not lift herself into the air.
Branches snapped against one and another, and the fae glanced into the sky, making sure none were going to come crashing down upon her head. When her worries were satisfied she continued on her way.
Her heart hurt when she saw wolves that had encountered the pain of love. She felt their pain, this had never happened to her before. She didn’t know what it was, but somehow she knew it was because of a heart, somewhere, sometime there was a heart that was influencing her, or one of her puppies.
After all love is the emotion of the heart, right? Love, a feeling to which is unimaginable, unless of course you have experienced it first hand. It fills you up to the brim, it’s so full of different emotions, and it’s like all of them mixed into one amazing feeling. It’s just breathtaking. Indescribable. It’s not something you can put into words, the only way you’ll know its there is if you feel it. Love. What is love really? Are we always giving love, never getting it in return, or always getting it, and never giving it in the first place? How are you to know when you’re in love, many have asked? Only you can know the answer to that question.
The red femme reached the place to which she was traveling, a meadow, full of flowers and sweet smelling grass. The sun shone down, heating her skin making her eyes water with the absolute beauty of the place. She could hear a little babbling brook to her left, to her right trees. The best of worlds, peace and serenity filled her as she looked around. She had only dreamed of such places. She picked a spot in the sun, one in the middle of the meadow. Little pink wild flowers fluttered to the ground from a nearby tree and onto the place she had chosen to relax in.
Cindershock didn’t know why she was here. She didn’t know what brought her to this place. It was as if it just needed to be discovered. Needed to be seen, heard, loved. She didn’t know why this place chose her, or maybe it had chosen on of her pups? All she knew was she was here now. She would be here for at least a little while, and she would tell no one of its whereabouts. She felt as if this should be a special, sacred place, for herself and her babies. Yes, that sounded right. She lifted her head from the mound of grass and looked at her stomach once more, she already loved these pups with all her heart, and no one could ever change that. She felt a connection to each and every one of them.
Cindershock laid her head to the grass and took a deep breath. Her eyes began to droop and soon she was asleep.
Dream:
“Angie,” a red wolf called out. “Angie, darling, where are you?” she called out again, her eyes had a worried look in their depths, and the wolf’s face was contorted with fear. A white wolf shot out of the woods at that moment, and the fae’s face relaxed into a easy smile. The white wolf, Angie, walked up cautiously, as if afraid, “Oh Angie! Where were you?” the red wolf said in a relieved voice.
“At the meadow, Mom, where do you think?” The white wolf, with the piercing purple eyes, much like the red wolves, knew she had not been in the meadow; she had been in the clouds, watching everyone. She saw her mother with her father, together at an outcropping of waterfalls that were in the territory. She saw Eden and Harbringer in the den, just cuddling. She saw wolves she had never even met before, a black wolf, with a multicolored blue C on her face, and a golden wolf with white angel’s wings like her own, she saw them together, and she could tell them completely in love. She saw many others, playing behind the skin of her eyelids like a movie. But, no, she wouldn’t tell her mother of this.
The red wolf looked at her skeptically, thinking back to when she was pregnant with the now grown pup, she was so cute as a pup, and she was just gorgeous as the wolf she was now. When she could sense the love around her. Cindershock has lost this ability when the litter was born, and she didn’t miss it.
“Angie…” she said, trailing off, “never mind.” She rolled her eyes and walked away, into the den that housed the pack. She looked back over a red shoulder at her daughter, and raised an eyebrow. “Maybe later, mom.” The purple-eyed wolf said to her mother, “maybe later,” she whispered again.
End Dream
The red wolf woke with a start, and looked to her tummy, “What was that?” she asked it.
She smiled to herself and said “You know what? I don’t want to know, I want to wait and find out about you for myself, my little Angie,” she got a kick in response.
