The young wolfress opened her eyes and then looked towards the wolf who called herself Cinder and she licked her ear too. She lifted her head and smiled to the alphress. " Thank you very much Cinder, maam" She wondered if Riptide would be happy for her staying and actually being accepted! She smiled and she wondered if she could speak to Cinder. " Emm... Cinder can I please have a word with you?" She bowed her head in respect, just in case her speech was abit rude. Ayame thought should she lick her back in respect? But she thought to do that when she got to know Cinder in a later date.
" I wonder if she can help me with my back pain?" The young wolfress looked to Cinder. She was a beautiful wolf. She had purple eyes and a reddy coat, but she couldnt make out what was on her back? " But she still pretty all the while" She looked to the floor and then to Tide, Snippet she heard what her name was, and then to Cinder. " Who was the other wolf she mentioned?" Also a healer. " Of course you can stay, we have Snippet and Masina that can heal you too!"
OMG! She thought, all these wolves to meet and two who can heal. She wondered if they could heal her sickness all together and this pain in her back. She wondered if Tide would be scared for her differences. She looked to him again and saw he was scared of Cinder. " Why is Tide and Snip scared of her? She looks nice to me" She sighed and looked to Tide. He was so beauitful and each time she saw him, he gave her butterflies. She blushed and looked to the floor yet again.

Riptide glanced over at Ayame when she spoke. She seemed like she was almost scared of the alphess, Cindershock. Then he though about what he said to her. 'Wow, that didn't sound anything like me.' he thought. Before he could continue thinking, Cinder spoke. "Oh Tide, always the one to bring in the helpless ones 'eh?" The brute smile awkwardly at the alphess; that was his funny way of agreeing with other wolves. Riptide was relieved to hear that there wpuld be no punishment for either of them; he was glad Cinder was a kind-hearted wolf. He almost jumped with joy when the brute heard that Ayame could stay. the leader continued and he nodded in agreement when she said that Snippits powers were not to her full ability. 'Masina?' The wolves name echoed in his head. He couldn't quite remember who she was. 'Ooohhh Masina, the betess of the pack, I have yet to meet her.'Riptide looked over at Ayame again, she was trying to ask Cinder a question. He cocked his head to the side in thought. 'I wonder what she wants to talk to Cinder about?' Tide looked away from the silver fae, then he turned his attention back to her. Ayame's cheeks were red; she was blushing. the playful brute couldn't take his gaze off of her and he blushed back. He looked away from Ayame and at Cinder. He opened his mouth to say something, but all that came out was babble. He quickly shut his mouth Tide couldn't think of anything to say; his mind was filled with thoughts of the beautiful silver fae, and his stomach was filled with butterflies. He was able to clear his mind for a few seconds to actually think of something. 'Maybe after this I could go show Ayame the lands. I wonder if she would like to explore?'

When Ayame heard she could stay, she could of licked the Alphrass cheek, but instead she bowed her head and wagged her tail. " Oy my god! Fukai waterfall is my home! And the best of it is... I can spend the rest of my life with Tide" Ayame could feel her stomach do somersaults!. The life in Fukai Waterfall would be the best thing that has ever happened to her. She smiled a happy smile and she bounded over to Tide. " Did you hear Tide! Im staying!" Ayame felt like a new pup that had seen snow for the very first time. She even looked forward to seeing the lands that she now called home. " I must see Cinder before she goes off. But ill wait to i see the aphla!" Oh how she wanted to lick Tide for being so helpful and telling the alphrass that she can stay!. " Always helping the helpless ah Tide! Im very glad you did!" So instead of being calm about it, all she could do was lick Tide muzzle over and over again, and making little howling noises in her throat. Oh how she loved being with Tide. He made her feel so wanted and loved. Ayame was thinking about how their friendship would blossom and she'd adopt Snip aswell. Even though Snip looked old enougth to a teenager wolfress, but that wouldn't stop Ayame thinking that she could be a step daughter. Little images of her, Snip and Tide being all family like made Ayame's heart skip beats. " Get a hold of yourself woman! Your thinking of familys and babies... Maybe Tide isn't ready yet!" She stopped licking Tide. " Im sorry... Didnt know what got into me. She could feel her cheeks blush like anything, she looked to the ground and started to scratch the cave's floor with her paws. Her tail wagged still though, but she felt embarrased about how she acted. ((OOC: OMG! 341 words ))

Snip woke slowly, her mind resurfacing from whatever dreamworld it’d created while she slept. She always slept very deeply after a healing, her body recovering from its sudden depletion of energy. Since Ayame’s healing had only required a soothing of pain, she didn’t need more than a few hours’ sleep to recover from it. But still, she woke with reluctance, not wanting to leave her warm nest so quickly. Papa Tide’s comforting presence…
Wasn’t there. Snip opened her eyes when she realized Tide had risen at some point and was no longer laying beside her. Confused, she rolled over and looked around, trying to find her father. She heard quiet voices and looked for their source. A few feet away, Riptide and the new wolf, Ayame, stood talking to Cindershock. Snip’s tail wagged sporadically at the sight of the crimson wolf. She was no longer so frightened of the Alphess now that they’d spent an afternoon exploring together. Cinder had made it quite clear she considered Snippet part of her pack, her family, and the young wolf’s affectionate, playful side needed no more encouragement to come out strong. She’d ended up playing happily with the Alphess for an afternoon, and now she was friendly to her, excited to see her, even, though a bit shy still. That was her personality, however, and not any fear specifically of Cindershock, who she saw almost as a loving aunt.
Snip wanted to go over and greet the Alphess, but they all looked serious, so she stayed where she saw. Snip strained to hear what they were saying. Quiet as always, she stood up, her legs unsteady after her deep sleep. They shook for a moment before steadying. A few steps took her close enough to hear words from the older wolves.
”…hear, Tide, I’m staying!” So Ayame was now part of the pack! Snippet smiled big, pleased that her charge could stay. She would have worked up the nerve to ask Cinder to let her stay anyway, at least until Snip decided she was healthy enough to survive on her own. In her mind, Ayame was her patient and it was her responsibility to make sure she was feeling better before she went off on her own. She wasn’t even sure the older wolf should be up yet, but since she was staying with the pack, there would be time for rest later.
She watched as Ayame grew very excited, licking Tide’s muzzle happily. Snip grinned, her tail wagging with pleasure at seeing them together. Much as she knew Tide loved her, she could also see that he was lonely. She was young, not an idiot; she knew wolves needed mates, partners they shared their lives with, to be truly and lastingly happy. Tide had Snippet no, but she wasn’t and wouldn’t be a mate for him- she was his daughter. Seeing him with Ayame, and seeing how much they liked each other, made Snippet happy. She hoped things worked out between them. An addition to their family of two would be welcomed by the shy little wolf.
Once Ayame backed off a little, Snip decided it was time to make her presence known. She yawned audibly and walked up to the group. ”Evening Papa, Ayame, Cinder ma’am,” she said, offering each wolf a small smile and licking Cinder’s muzzle in greeting. She looked at the white wolf. She could feel the pain in her, could smell the sickness and another problem that she couldn’t quite identify. The need to heal was there, but not so immediate; it could wait until they were both stronger. ”How are you feeling, Ayame? Did you sleep alright?” She nuzzled the wolf’s side gently, checking her over again. There was something wrong with her back…something needed to happen. Snip couldn’t decide what though; she’d figure it out later. ”Does your back still hurt?” She turned to Tide, looking up at him and smiling. ”Why didn’t you wake me up, Papa? I wouldn’t have minded.”

Ayame was so happy that she was staying at Fulki Waterfall. She called it home. And being with Tide and Snip really made it home. She looked outside, the sun was creeping in and the alphrass Cinder had gone. As she sighed and looked at Tide, his pelt shinned in the sun, a little wolfress came into view. It was Snip. "How are you feeling Aya?" She grabbed Snip by the scruff. She had Snip her in mouth and of course her words were muffled but they were hear able. " You know what Snip love?..." She paused. " Im better thanks to you!" The thought of having Snip as her nurse or helper really comforted Aya. The little wolfress and her will be good friends forever and things are good with Tide, she might even be a step daughter and half sister to siblings.
Aya looked to Snip and walked with her in her mouth. " Snip, can i ask a question?" She cleared her throat and placed the little wolfress on a rock outside the cave. When Ayame came back to the pack's terroity there were rocks that looked like resting spots near the river, but she placed Snip there and started to talk again. " I've got a pain in my back, but if you can see there's like lumps. I dunno if it's bumps or something... But they really hurt" she wondered why she had lumps in her back. They have been hurting her for little while. But she didnt know if it was serious or from her illness. Ayame still needed to ask Cinder if she had the same expericnes or see if Snip can heal them first. she didnt want to ask questions that weren't even nesserilly without healing them first. But she did worry about Snip because she saw her last time. How she slept to comsume her energy. But she did praise her little body for holding such a power.

Snip looked up at the white wolf, enjoying the happy smile she saw there. It made her feel good to know that the other wolf was now a member of the Fukai pack. She knew what it felt like to have no family, no pack to call home. It wasn’t very pleasant. And it was the best feeling in the world to be accepted into a pack and know that you have a home again. Snip thought that no wolf should be left homeless, so she was happy that Ayame was staying with the pack and pleased that Ayame was happy. She liked the older wolf and liked that Riptide liked her, so having her stay was doubly good for the young wolf. Precognizant she was not, but she still tentatively saw a real family in her future, stepfather and stepmother both.
The older wolf’s action, though, took Snippet utterly by surprise. The feeling of teeth closing gently on her scruff was unexpected in the extreme, triggering deep instincts that every wolf had which now made her go limp in the white wolf’s grip. She cast a startled glance up to see who had a hold on her and saw Ayame’s face. She finally put two and two together- Aya seemed to have a penchant for enthusiastic displays of affection, and she was standing right next to the little pup who’d partially healed her. It didn’t take a genius to figure out the impulsive Aya grabbed Snip in a rush of happiness. Snip’s heart, which had jumped to pounding with the sudden grip on her neck, slowed back to normal, and Snip relaxed more normally.
She heard the muffled words from above her, and a blush stole across her cheeks under the charcoal fur. It was a good thing Ayame couldn’t see her face directly from their current position. She couldn’t remember the last time anyone called her ‘love’. Certainly not someone she barely knew. It made her feel…special. Wanted. It was nice. And she was glad to hear that Aya’s pain was better. Snip really liked helping other wolves. She was proud of her modest healing skills, and using them made her feel like she could give something back to those who showed her such kindness.
When Ayame started walking out of the cave with her, though, Snip got a little nervous. Surely Aya wouldn’t go from thanking Cinder for letting her stay with the pack to kidnapping the pack’s newest pup for no apparent reason? She twisted in Ayame’s grip to lock eyes with Tide for a moment, willing him to follow, before she let herself be carried out of the den, deciding that Ayame probably had a good reason and she didn’t need to fight. And sure enough, once outside the den, Ayame placed Snip gently on a flat rock and stood back. Snip settled more comfortably on the rock and looked at the other wolf expectantly, waiting to hear what this was about.
When Ayame explained about the painful lumps on her back, Snip cocked her head, her ears pricking in interest. She recalled how earlier she’d gotten the feeling that there was something wrong with the white wolf’s back, but she hadn’t known what. Now the little healer had a chance to examine her charge more fully.
She got up with a quick “Alright, hold still,” and walked to Ayame’s side. Snip carefully pushed her nose into the fur on Aya’s back until she found a swollen spot that shouldn’t be there. She closed her eyes in concentration and directed all of her attention to the painful growths. Unbeknownst to the little wolf, her muzzle began to glow softly as her healing talents woke within her. Her mind went into memory mode, scanning the white wolf’s body and ‘remembering’ how it should be if it was healthy. The sickness was there, but snip ignored that; it wasn’t her place to heal it yet- she wasn’t strong enough. She found the source of the pain in Aya’a back- two spots that weren’t right. There was something out of order there. Something was wrong. Snip concentrated harder, sitting next to Ayame. Under the skin she could now sense two growths that had been restricted, not harmful growths but natural ones. They almost seemed like….
Snip sat back and looked at Ayame again, the glow fading from her muzzle as a broad smile crept over her normally shy face. ”It’s not bad news, Ayame,” she said quietly, but happily. ”It’s actually a good thing. Your sickness got in the way of normal development, but the things under your skin aren’t bad- you have wings! Once you’re healthy enough and are eating regularly, they should break through pretty quickly. You'll be able to fly!”

Whilst Ayame was carrying the little wolfress in her mouth. She could feel her stiften, " Bless her! I hope she doesnt think i mean harm! If Tide knew i was going to hurt this poor little wolfress who healed me! I would never hurt a fly!" She shook that feeling out of head. She realised that she had placed the little wolfress down on the rock. The littlein looked so sc.ared. " Emm Snip, i hope you didnt think i was hurting you... I know i should of asked Tide for his permission to carry you like one of my own..." She paused and cleared her throat and carried on. " I hope you didnt mind me carrying you! Even though i've only been her a few days, but i feel connected to you!"
She looked to the wolfress who'd one day grow up to be like a older version of the cub that was sitting with her. She vagerly remembered some stuff about Snip. She looked to Snip and she had cocked her head to the side when she was talking about the lumps on her back. Ayame watched her walk to the side of her. She felt Snip's little wet nose on her shoulders, the white fae winched a little until the pain went away. Ayame looked to see what Snip was doing, it seemed she was poking her shoulders and something wasn't right but it wasnt bad news.
Ayame cocked her head and lisented to what Snip had to say about she might have wings. " Dont be silly! I dont remember my parents having wings!" She looked on her shoulder blades and noticed that lumps were on her back. " Huh! Maybe i do!" She looked to Snip. " Are you sure ive got wings? I was going to ask Cinder to see if she had the same problem" But it seemed kinda cool to have wings. " It might be kinda cool to have wings!" She wondered what it be like to have wings so she can fly Snip round!. " Might be cool!" She thought.

Riptide nearly burst with happiness when he heard Cindershock say that Ayame could live in the pack lands. He heard Ayame shout with joy, then out of nowhere the fae practically tackles him and covers him in slobber. Memories flooded back though him from when he was a young pup with Isa, oh how he missed her. The brute quicly pushed those memories away, he couldn't think about something like that when right now joy surrounded him. Tide started laughing because Ayame was tickling him, and yes Tide was flailing. Then the silver fae finally quite and backed off. She said her apologies. Tide got up and looked at her. "There's no need for apologies," he smiled. "it's ok."After that moment, all went silent besides the roar of the falls. Riptide's ears twitched as he heard something move in the den where he slept. Snippit was waking up. She padded up to him and said greetings. "G'evenin'" he replied. Tide listened to her speak. She was asking if Ayame was alright. It was about the fae's back, ever since Tide found her, even though it was only yesterday, her back was still hurting. 'I wonder what could be bothering her...?' he questioned himself. Snip broke into his thoughts as she turned to him. ”Why didn’t you wake me up, Papa? I wouldn’t have minded.” "Well," he began. "I know that you're worn out after healing someone, so I thought I might as well let you sleep in some more to regenerate your health. And you're still growing, you need more hours of sleep and we were up pretty late last night."Before Snippit could reply, Ayame grabbed her by the scruff of her neck and carried her out of the the large den. Riptide stared at them dumbfounded. The brute met Snip's eyes and they were calling for him to follow, but wasn't going to follow. She needed to spend more time with Ayame. But there was something in the center of his heart that was calling for him to follow. Riptide sat there for a few minutes trying to resist following them 'Snip needs to socialize more.' he kept repeating to himself. After a while of sitting there, Tide couldn't stand it anymore he had to use his fatherly instincts, so he padded out from behind the waterfall. Once out in the sun, he looked to his right and saw Snip and Ayame talking to each other a few yards away. The brute was trying to pick up some of their conversation, but the falling water was drowning out all other sounds. Riptide walked over to where the two fae's were standing, he didn't want to intrude their talking, so he took his time. He finally made his way over to the duo and asked. "Did I miss anything?"

Snip looked up at Ayame after she’d delivered her news, expecting the silver wolf to be happy about it. After all, she’d just discovered a ton of awesome…stuff, for lack of a better word. For one thing, she knew now that the pain in her back wasn’t caused by illness or injury; in fact, it wasn’t bad at all. And she was going to fly! How awesome was that, right?? Snip often sort of wished she could fly. She could remember from past lives what it was like to fly- she’d had wings in a few of her previous forms. Sometimes she wondered if it was really a good thing to remember an amazing feeling like that- she knew what I felt like, and she was definitely grateful for that, but that also meant she knew what she was missing. She’d once been able to fly (more than once, in fact) and now she couldn’t; she missed it but she also glad that she could remember what it had been like. So the memories could be good and bad, in a way.
But Ayame’s reaction was not what she expected. Instead of being really happy like would make sense, she just seemed confused. Her parents hadn’t had wings; did it matter if your parents had wings? Maybe wings were a recessive trait, or skipped generations or something. But she thought Aya should be excited about it at the very least. Once Snip convinced her it was really true, she was sure she’d get excited about it. Come on, she was going to be able to fly! Snip grinned, her tongue hanging out slightly. ”Yes, Aya ma’am, I’m sure,” she answered. ”My healing gift told me, and it hasn’t been wrong yet. Those bumps are wings, just waiting until you’re healthy enough to finish growing. You’ll be flying in months, probably.” Her gold eyes were bright with happiness.
At the sound of pawsteps, Snip looked over to see Tide coming out of the den towards them. She jumped up happily and trotted over to him, nuzzling into his side as though he’d been gone for hours instead of minutes. She couldn’t help it; she was just very attached to him. She looked up at him teasingly. ”Jeez, Papa, she could’ve kidnapped me and been miles away by the time you got out here.” Tide was the only wolf she would even dream of teasing, and even then she only would if she was in a very good mood. Like now; Aya’s news made her happy. ”And you missed a bunch. Ayame’s back hurts because she has wings, Papa! They’re just growing slow ‘cause she’s sick, you know? Did I tell you I remember having wings once? It was awesome and…I…liked...” As she spoke, Snip gradually became aware of a growing fog in her mind. It started out as simply something that made her thoughts go a little fuzzy, but now her eyesight was blurring and she couldn’t stand. She recognized the feeling; her past was coming up to swallow her, some memory surging forward to overtake her. She thumped heavily to the ground, looking unsteadily up at Tide with cloudy eyes. ”Sorry…Papa…I think…I’ll be back…soon…” She trailed off and stared blankly into nothing as the memories came forward and overcame her.

Having a conversation with Snip like hours but it was only minutes. She looked at the little wolfress and her confusing about what she had said. " Maybe i do have wings? Dont even remember my parents having wings" She looked to her again and smiled. " Ok... It might seem a little weird me having wings, but it could be pretty cool!" She tried to think back to her past lives or even her mother and fathers family tree. " If i can remember my mother and father's family tree! But they are not here to tell me!"
Ayame was getting frustrated with herself and she looked to Snip. " So thats why my back hurts!" She even questioned herself and heard that Snip said she'd be healed in the next couple of months and that she should be flying the same length of time. It kinda excited her because it seemed that wolves with wings she can finally be with them. She also thought about Tide. " How is he going to react? Will he still like me because i can be faster then him?" She tried to push that thought out of her head and if by magic her Tide came into view.
Ayame saw Snip bond over to her foster father. Oh how they had a connection, she loved the way she was so bonded to him and he was bonded to her. She was about to walk over when Snip told him about her wings and how she could of kidnapped her if he didn't turn up. She gulped and walked over with her head down, kinda in a submission way. She was going to wait for her punishment but would Tide take her to the aplras even though she had only been accepted? " Wish my wings grew now! She sighed and waited for the handsome brute to say what he was going to do.

Riptide saw Snippit rush over to him, and he noticed a little skip in her step. 'I wonder what they were just talking about to get Snip that happy?' He wondered. He could feel Snips delicate maw nuzzle into his sides. Even though he was only gone for a few minutes, his step daughter acted like it's been hours. Some wolves would probably think that Snip had some sort of "separation" problem, but no, Tide knew that wasn't the case. She just simply loved him...a lot. The brute looked down at Snip, and there was humor in her eyes, before he could say anything, she said. ”Jeez, Papa, she could’ve kidnapped me and been miles away by the time you got out here.” Tide knew she was teasing him, but he was still slightly shocked. Snip would hardly ever tease anyone, and if it would be anyone, it would be Tide. The brute picked up his paw, gently lay it on Snip's head, the gently ruffled her fur. He chuckled slightly. "I love you, Snippit, and you know I wouldn't let anything bad happen to you." A smile was still on his face. The brute looked up at Ayame, once again feeling those butterflies in his belly. Tide opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Snippit decided to talk, and truthfully Tide was happy that she talked first. He didn't want to make a fool of himself, sitting there with his mouth agate. Snip began to speak ”And you missed a bunch. Ayame’s back hurts because she has wings, Papa! They’re just growing slow ‘cause she’s sick, you know? Did I tell you I remember having wings once? It was awesome and…I…liked...” Snip's words were fading as she talked. Riptide never liked when Snip would remember her past lives; he would have a cow sometimes. Once his step daughter his the ground, small dust clouds spiraled out from underneath her. Riptide watched her, panic in his eyes. Even though he shouldn't try to move her body while she was in this state, Riptide's first reactions were to get her somewhere safe. But this time he took a deep breath and tried to calm down. ”Sorry…Papa…I think…I’ll be back…soon…” Snippit's words were short and choppy, but they still held that same cute voice. "I'll be here for you when you return, Snip." He gently nuzzled her in the side. After assuring Snip would be okay, Riptide looked up at Ayame. "Wings, eh?" he questioned her with a smile. The brute padded the extra few feet over to the silver fae, even though something was pulling at him to walk back over to Snippit. Tide's crystal blue eyes were filled with excitement and love. He wondered if Ayame would think that he would think of her differently because she had wings...well, growing some anyways. Ayame looked more nervous than excited to have wings. 'I wonder what could be bothering her.' Riptide sat down beside her, their pelts brushing. "Is everything ok," he began "you look more timid than happy about your wings."

Ayame looked behind her and saw the lumps looked abit better then they had since she'd moved onto this land. It seemed she knew this place since she was young and learning on her own from when she could stand. The wolves she met in her life seemed so different now then two years passed.
She thought about the pack she learnt in and the wolves that kept a close eye on her when her parents did not. The thought of her parents not loving her but loving her siblings more then anything in the world it was to have a loving partner she could call hers. She looked towards the horizon and saw the one she fell for. Riptide. He looked so fatherly with Snip his step daughter, but she didnt see the "step" a problem.
He had a smile on his face when he ruffled his daughter's fur. But from what she could hear, they were having a joke. Something about Ayame nearly kidknapping Snip. " I would never ever take a child from a loving parent!" But then all the silence had faded when Tide and Snippet were laughing. That took some of the tension away from her.
As she sighed, he'd walked up to her. She looked into his eyes. Oh how they glowed in the weak sun, and the waterfall behhind made him even more beauitful then she could possibly imagine. She thought running up to him was a good idea, but then again.... Was it because she'd taken Snip without asking. " I hope he hasnt come over to go at me!" But his hansome face was calm and subdued. She sighed from relift when his pelt came into contact with hers. This was a moment of regonising his scent. Just in case they got lost.
But he sighed and looked to her, not in a painful way... but a worried way. He was talking about her wings that Snip had discovered. " You dont seem to pleased to have wings? Is everything ok?!?" She looked to him and smiled. She seemed to be dancing everywhere in her body. " Yeah im fine, just trying to think where ive got wings from...." She paused. " And a tad worried... Would you like me if i had wings?" She didnt want to sound desberate but would her and Tide be able to commite to each other when she had wings? It would be different, but Ayame wanted to be Tide's mate, so she hoped even with feathy wings poking out of her back she wouldnt stop at nothing to be with Tide.

"Yeah im fine, just trying to think where ive got wings from...." Ayame paused. "And a tad worried... Would you like me if i had wings?" Riptide was taken back by her question. The brute gasped then spoke. "Ayame, you know I would always love you...no matter what happens to you." He turned his head to look at Ayame, love and affection filled his eyes. He knew that the both of them would be together for a long time. Riptide's heart began to pound, he thought his own muscle would burst out of his chest. The brute gently kissed Ayame on the cheek. Tide's heart was still pounding, but not as violently as before. He couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her silver pelt was beautiful, her eyes just the same. All in all Ayame was a stunning wolf, and Riptide was happy that she joined the pack. He looked over at Snippit, she was still on the ground. By now you'd think Tide would be used to his set daughter going through her past lives, but he still worried...like any parent should. "Hold on a second." he whispered to Ayame. Tide padded over to the slightly breathing body that was Snip. He bent his head down and quickly sniffed over her, from what he could tell she was doing fine for now. Tide glanced back over at the silver fae then back at Snip. After that moment, he walked back over to Ayame. "All we can do is wait," he barked. "we don't want to move her body. Who knows how that could effect her?"

Ayame watched and listened as to what Tide had to say. She loved the sound of his voice and how it sounded prince charming. He definatly was her saviour, like the old romance films she loved how he cared for his daughter and his mate to be. She felt all giddy and fluffy. Ayame felt like she was on cloud nine and in heaven. " Have I died early?" She thought with a thoughtful sigh. She nodded to what he had to say about how he loved her no matter what happens to her. " So you'd love me even if i spouted another head?" She joked about that and she pushed him. Now being serious she looked into his eyes and felt a cold nose on her cheek.
She felt a sudden whiff of love and affection towards the brute. She wanted to kiss him all over and say yes that she felt the same, and by god she did! " Oh Tide, i fell the same way! I will love you no matter what!" As she turned to look into his oh so perfect eyes, his lips went onto her cheek. Tide had been a true gentleman and kissed her cheek. It felt like the films had turned into wolf romance flicks. She felt her cheeks blush red, like the autumn sun that hit her and Tide. Ayame's shoulders tightened and she scrunched her head and loved the way he kissed her cheek. She smiled and returned the kiss. She blushed again and sighed. Everything in that particular moment felt right and the world had just paused.
As she was daydreaming Tide had come back to reality when he realized that Snip was in her past lives. "Hold on a sec" He had trotted over to see if the little fluff ball laying on the ground Snip was breathing. "We better not move her because dont know what damage it will do" Ayame heard Tide bark. She trotted over and saw the peaceful Snip laying there. She looked to Tide. " How does she come back from her past lives? and what do they mean?" Her green eyes went back to the fluff ball sleeping there. " I wonder if Snip is ok!" She thought.

Riptide looked up as he saw Ayame pad over to him and Snip, who was still visiting her past lives. The silver fae spoke and he replied. "It varies everytime, Ayame." he began. "Some time's she's perfectly fine, other times she's dizzy or sick feeling. Every now and then she can't even remember if she went into her past lives. I always worry when this happens to her, because I never know what condition she'll be in when she returns." Riptide shrugged then sighed. He looked up at Ayame then back down at Snip. There was another question the silver feeme asked. Tide couldn't recall what she said, but after a few seconds he did. The brute looked up at her and said. "I don't know what they mean...and I don't think Snippit knows what they mean either." Riptide glanced around, flicked his ears, and then looked at Ayame once more. "All we can do is wait..." he trailed off. The brute gazed at the sky. The setting sun set the forest ablaze with many bright colors. He turned to head opposite of the sun, where the dark colors of the night were taking over. Twilight had to be his favorite time of day. A simple breeze flowed through the air and it carried winter chill. The three of them would need to get inside soon, or they may freeze outside of the den. Riptide looked at the limp, breathing body on the ground. He leaned closer and whispered. “Snip, if you can hear me though your past lives, please come back soon. I can’t leave your body out and the cold. And…whatever you go through, please come back safe.”

Snippet was flying. Or rather, it wasn’t really her as such, but it had been. The wolf that she was at the moment was a bright green, swirled with orange stripes and intricate designs mingling on her back. Orange wings, their long feathers tipped with green, rose from her back with majestic elegance. Black-socked paws dangled below her, seeing to brush the landscape below as she flew. Her tail swished behind her, vibrant orange and green and tipped with deepest black. She grinned into the wind that rushed against her face, enjoying the feel of its smooth contact with her fur. There was nothing quite like flying. No feeling in the world could compare to soaring high in the clouds, nothing under your feet but empty air, yet knowing your wings were enough to keep you safely aloft. It truly was amazing.
The wolf that Snippet had been looked down at the patchwork of color that was the world below. Irregular splotches of light green and dark, interlaced with thin lines of blue and patches of gold to make a giant quilt. It made her happy to see all of her world spread out like this, a beautiful artwork only those with wings could truly appreciate this way. She felt blessed that she’d been chosen to be born with wings, that she, …
She frowned as she realized she couldn’t remember her name. That happened sometimes when she ventured into one of her past lives- she couldn’t remember little details like names and things. In this life, she knew she had five older brothers, one of whom had been born with just one ear. His name was Apollo, and he was orange-and-green to her green-and-orange- her opposite. He had wings like her; none of her other siblings did. She was very close to him, closer than she was to any of her other siblings. Their mother thought they were a little odd, their mother whose name was….but she couldn’t remember that either.
It was disconcerting sometimes, not being able to remember things like her name, her mother’s name, or the number of wolves in her pack. She knew it was a good thing, though, no matter how annoying it was; the holes that sprung up when she relived a past life reminded her that this magnificent flying wolf wasn’t the current her. She wasn’t really a green-and-orange mottled wolf; she was black and grey, and quite small. She had a name, and it was Snippet. If there ever came a memory like this in which she could remember everything about that particular life, she was worried she might never wake up from it. The holes grounded her, kept her from never coming back out of her own mind. As long as there were blank patches, her current self was there reminding her that Aelyn and Fukai and Papa Tide awaited her. As long as she stayed aware of that, she allowed herself to enjoy these journeys into her pasts (if they were pleasant journeys, and not replays of her deaths or some such thing), going along with the experience until the real world called her home.
So for now she rode the winds, tongue hanging out with a big smile on her muzzle, reveling in the borrowed feeling of flight that had once been hers to enjoy at will. This had been one of her happier lives; she was five years old at this point, and had a loving mate and three pups back in her den. She’d been raised on love and affection and was an outgoing, excitable wolf. She was the pack healer, liked and respected by all. Present-day Snip enjoyed the feelings of being care- and fear-free and of safety. She wasn’t very used to feeling so comfortable in her own skin and hoped one day to recapture that feeling in her own life. When she was older, maybe.
When the call to return to herself in Aelyn came, it was so gradual that she didn’t at first recognize it. That was a relief; sometimes it came up so fast she was slammed back into herself gasping and choking. This was gentle, though. It started as a tingle in her wings and paws that turned into an insistent tug. She blinked and shook her head, her thoughts full of her mate and pups back home. The tug didn’t go away, however, and a fog started to creep into her mind. Ger thoughts clouded and became fuzzy and vague. She panicked for a moment and tried to fight it before she recognized what was happening and relaxed. When her vision blurred, she closed her eyes, heedless now of where she was flying. The tug in her wings spread to her whole body and she relaxed more into it. Finally the call became so strong that her wings buckled and she began to fall slowly, still partially cushioned by the air. Her mind fogged more and more until she was barely aware of where she was, much less who…
Snippet took a huge breath in and blinked as she came back to herself. She lifted her head and looked around where she’d slumped when the memory overcame her. Papa Tide was leaning over her with a look of concern on his comfortingly familiar face, and Ayame stood a little off, watching but perhaps not wanting to intrude on the moment. Maybe she didn’t know what to do. Seeing the real worry on tide’s face sent a rush of pure love through Snip’s heart, and she nuzzled his cheek to let him know she was awake and alright, and then looked at Ayame. She sent a shy smile the white fae’s way before struggling unsteadily to her feet and leaning on Tide a bit for support. She looked up at him lovingly. ”I’m back, Papa, it’s okay. Did you say it’s cold? Maybe we should go into the den for the night.” With all the innocent honesty of puppyhood, she looked again at Ayame and added, ”Would you like to sleep in our nest with us, Ayame? I’m sure Papa would love it if you did.”
