People stop joining the roleplay or I'll stab you with my spork Steve! D= [jk] And no probs here. Sorry for the wait. Word Count - "You have already hunted these lands before making your presence known, but that is understandable. I would never let someone who wanted to join me, go hungry. So if you can pledge your loyalty to the pack and it's lands, then you may join us."Oooor not. Minou humphed and a corner of her jowls tipped down. That wasn't right. He had taken food a member of the pack couldn't have lived off of. No matter if Weylyn was to become part of the pack, he should at least be chastised. But then again, she was from lands far from here. She was taught such things a certain way, unlike these wolves of Aelyn. The multi-toned she-wolf couldn't tell them they were wrong in the decision when they had been taught something else. Still, she wanted to talk to Corrinth about it but he had already made a decision. Strike one against mating him. Rolling her shoulders, the silver stayed quiet, watching the goings on with curious eyes.
Snowdrift spoke up, flirting back with the male. He was still a lion, but everyone still knew he was a wolf. She smiled slightly. How sweet. Crushes were something she liked watching, budding or young romance was a nice thing to watch if all went well. And this male, though a bit on the seemingly carefree side, seemed sweet and kind enough. His mind had a good ring to it. She flicked her auds as the young male shifted. She laughed quietly because he hadn't known he was still shifted. She didn't really know how exactly that could happen, but alas she wasn't a shapeshifter and thus knew nothing about it. She supposed one got so used to the other forms like they were just like the original canine one. At home in every skin. She flicked her twin sets to hear his answer, already knowing what it would be."You have my loyalty. I will fight for this pack like it were my first and only family. I am willing to serve the pack whatever it takes, even at the cost of my life."She had been correct. She nodded her head in welcome though the new pack mate had eyes only for Snowdrift. Good for her. Minou rose to her paws, stretching out, flicking her tail idly. She took in the wolf's smell again and put it to memory. She sighed, rolling her eyes. Yet again, no one really wanted to know her name. She had gotten used to that along with silence. She had never known that joining a pack would change her so. Her paws touched the soil softly and she looked at Corrinth, wondering if they could have their talk now. Her maw opened to ask just that wehn a crack of a stick had her head whipping around and neck fur slightly fluffing. Her harks flicked back and forth, listening for another sound. But she didn't have to. Four wolves were there and one of the pups trotted in to bark a swift: "Hiya!" to Weylyn. She smiled slighty, eyes going toward heaven. She wasn't that interesting it seemed. Not that she wanted to be, but a hello would suffice. She'd let Weylyn handle the pup and Corrinth could take this one. She sat back down, head up and ears at attention, waiting for the show to start.[/ul][/blockquote]

There were many wolves now in Corrinth pack lands. Most of which were new. Corrinth was enjoying the thought of so many coming to join him. And now there were even more coming here, a family by the looks of it. They seemed to be paying attention to the wolf that had to appearance of a lion, which was definitely a sight to see. The energy in the area was changing though, and it was coming from Minou. The feeling started as soon as he'd let Weylyn join the pack, with apparently no consequence. The wolf would be very closely watched and Corrinth would be making this very clear to new pack member. Corrinth would leave a mark on the wolf as sign of Weylyn's trespass against the pack lands. Corrinth hoped that what ever was troubling Minou would be sated by this act of justice. But before Corrinth drew punishment to Weylyn for this, he would introduce himself to the new comers.
"Hello, new comer. I am Corrinth, the alpha of the forest lands. I see that you have a family to watch over, so what brings you here. Is it your intention to join this pack."
With that being said, Corrinth turned to Weylyn and spoke to deliver the punishment for hunting the lands as a loner.
"Weylyn, for hunting these lands before you were part of the pack, you will be watched closely from this day on, until you can regain the approval of the pack members. You will account for your actions as if you were a loner, since that is what you were when you took prey from these lands without permission of pack leaders. And that would be me or my batess, the ones you were supposed to ask to hunt the lands of the forest."
Now a punishment for Weylyn. Corrinth knew what he would do, even before he moved to do it. And with quick which of possision, Corrinth hurled a thin bolt of fire the Weylyn's forehead, and if he knew better, he would execpt this scar.

Snowdrift sat there looking around at all the newcomers and wondering what exactly was going on. How did in a matter of days go from her being a newcomer to having a new male and a female with a family join also. She was afraid of what might happen next. What if she wasn't good enough for the pack. She said her hello's to the new family that had arrived. She introduced herself and then looked at everyone nervously. She politely excused herself from all the commotion and ran off into the woods as fast as she could.
"What will happen if Minou never accepted her? Why was a shapeshifting wolf interested in her? Was the new family that arrived accepted?"
These where the things that Snowdrift was thinking as she ran through the woods. She finally found a nice shadey area under a huge tree. She laid there panting and out of breath. Then she started to think again.
"Did they only accept me because they needed more pack members and now that there was more, was she going to be casted away?"
She felt very unwanted and all she wanted more than anything in the world was acceptance. Well, that was her number one dream. She also wanted a mate, and the privillage to have pups with her mate.
She was thinking of going back to were the pack was an apologizing for leaving so suddenly, but she was to afraid of what might happen. So, she laid there under the big tree and relaxed. Before she knew it she was in a deep sleep dreaming.
When she woke up it was dark out. She looked up and realized that the only way she would "truely" be accepted into the pack, she would have to be around them.
She got up and started to prance off toward where eveyone was last seen. As she was prancing along she heard a stick snap, then she heard a big roar. Thinking it was Weylyn trying to scare her in his lion form she turned and growled back at where she had first heard the noise. As she quickly spun around growling she realized it wasn't Weylyn.
She froze and her eyes were wide open. She was staring up at a big grizzly bear. She knew that by herself she could not fight away the bear. She quickly started thinking over all the options she had, and the best one she could think of was to back up slowly and then run off to try to lose the bear.
Snowdrift stood there for a moment, but then the bear growled at her. She started to back away, she backed about thirty-five feet away when the bear started to charge her. She turned and started to run. At first she was running toward home, but she knew that nobody would be happy if she brought home a huge, and very upset grizzly bear. She then turned sharply to the right until she had turned around. She must have ran for at least twenty minutes before she lost the bear. Or at least she thought she lost the bear.
As soon as she sat down to catch her breath the big grizzly bear came running up the hill straight toward her. So, she started to run again.
"Oh, what if I never lose this bear? If I do get through this I am not going to tell anyone that I was chased around forever by the bear. She decided that she would just tell them where she had seen the bear. "
She ran through the woods forever, or so it seemed like forever. As she was running she tripped and skidded across the dirt face first. She tried to get back up, but before she ever had a chance the bear was standing over top of her. The bear pulled his arm up high and scratched up the entire left side of Snowdrift. Just as she thought that her life was about to end the bear suddenly backed away and started walking away.
Snowdrift knew she had to get back home, but when she tried to move, the pain hurt to much and she would fall back to the ground. She managed to pull herself to where the pack had been hours earlier. She knew that there she was safe. She tried to clean her wounds but couldn't reach them all.
Snowdrift was so worried that the pack would be mad at her for getting hurt, that she wished that she would just go to sleep and never wake up. The pack would probably think that she could never be able to help out the pack, since she was constantly getting hurt. She finally rested her head, and fell asleep. She didn't know what the pack would say when they found her, but she was hoping that they wouldn't hate her for it.
It seemed that no matter how hard she tried to fit in the more she got hurt. She thought that it was her destiny to be an outcast forever, even though that was the one thing she never wanted.

Weylyn accepted his mark. He had betrayed Corrinth and so, without a flinch and without even a sound, he accepted the mark full on. Though Weylyn thought it a little unfair to do such things to loners, whom may or may not know these were packlands.... it was unfair, in Weylyn's eyes to do such things when there wasn't a chance that any loner would know of the rules Corrinth had set forth. They weren't posted anywhere... there weren't any signs... but it was Corrinth's lands and he would do what he saw fit.
This was when the family approached. Weylyn nodded and then turned back to Corrinth. "I accept this mark as my treachery. I am sorry for hunting upon your lands and I offer my paw in apology." He wouldn't say anything about how he thought of Corrinth's rule for marking loners who hunted his lands.
Weylyn looked to Snowdrift. She seemed to be thinking something was going to happen to her or that she would potentially be in danger of sorts... or maybe even rejected. Weylyn didn't like the idea of that. He watched her closely, trying to offer support and kindness in his eyes, but she didn't seem to notice. She bolted away as the family approached.
Weylyn took one look at Corrinth and gave him a look that he hoped would be one requesting to follow her. Without waiting, however, Weylyn darted off after the young Snowdrift in hopes to comfort her.
He ran quickly, she had already gotten a decent headstart on her. He would have to run as fast as he could in order to catch up with her. This struck an idea. His muscles rippled and his body contorted, making it slender, his tail grew longer and thinner and his legs began to take bigger strides. He retained his markings, though he had the body and the looks of a cheetah now. The mark on his forehead, where Corrinth had burned him, stung as he changed, but he ignored it. Eventually, it would heal and all that would be left is a scar.
Weylyn ran faster and faster, following Snowdrift's scent. He caught the scent of a bear, and a shiver of fear ran through his body. Would she be okay? Would he see her... alive? Weylyn pushed those horrid thoughts from his mind and followed her trail that began to lead back toward the wolves. It was getting late... and he smelled blood.
He skidded to a halt, looking around. There it was, dried blood upon the fronds of a nearby fern. His stomach jumped to his throat... his muscles stiffened. Maybe he was too late... maybe he wasn't there in time to save her. He fought back tears, running quickly to where her scent seemed to be getting stronger.... and to where the scent of blood became stronger as well.
He slowed, seeing a white form with dark spots glistening in the moonlight. He took a deep breath and swallowed as he slowly approached the form of Snowdrift. His paws were shaky and his vision became clouded as his eyes welled up with tears. Was she okay?
"Snowdrift?" He called out quietly, his muscles rippling and his body reshaping itself into its wolven form. "Snowdrift... are you okay?" Of course she's not okay! She has deep gouges in her side and there's lots of blood... her blood.
"Please say something to me..." His voice cracked as he said this. He didn't want anything to happen to her... Sure, he only knew her for a few short hours, but that didn't mean he didn't care about her... maybe even love her. He had never felt this way about anyone or anything before... it was entirely new to him and all he wanted was to see her happy and well, even if it meant to live without her for the rest of his life.
He padded to her side and nudged her gently, trying to get a response. He nuzzled her neck, not caring that he was getting blood onto his fur... not caring that he barely knew her. He just wanted her safe.
"Snowdrift... please wake up... please be okay..." He whimpered as he laid next to her. He would stay by her side all night and forever more if it would make her better. He would do whatever it took to see her well again. ((Okay, I don't know what exactly we should do for this point. Does everyone want to still keep the posting order? Or shall we break it off into two roleplays now? Snowdrift/Weylyn and Corrinth/Minou/Family? I'll let you guys decide.))

(I say break... that way we know who's where and doing what without having to remember 'Oh yeah, Snowdrift and Weylyn ran off, so I can only talk to these people unless I run off as well!!')
Tomoko growled as his pup had just gone out there. He glanced to Myst, a silent signal for her to stay put and keep the other pups with her. He padded out and stood above the pup, a gleam in his eyes as a disapproving growl erupted from his throat. "Skull," He snarled. "What have I told you about approaching unfamiliar wolves, and so rudely in a territory that isn't yours?" He spoke, glaring down at the pup who mumbled sorry and hung his head.
Tomoko rolled his eyes a playfully nudged Skull with his paw. His attention was on the other wolves though, carefully calculating each one. He did wonder where the other two had run off to, and he especially hoped they weren't hunting his family that was just off to the side.

((Okay, I'll have Snowdrift and Weylyn have a new thread)) A howl echoes across the lands, shrill and pained... sounding almost forced.
Die, foul creature. No longer will you live as I use the last of my life energy to take you out and rid you from the packlands to harm no others again. With this dying howl, I sentence you to death! With this howl, I condemn myself to death.
It was unmistakeable... Chevara, Alphess of the Marshlands, had fought her last fight... had taken her last thrill. Chevara was dead... or soon to be, and her howl told the story of her final battle. What was she fighting? Was it the creature that attacked the lands? Or something else? The creature hadn't been seen for some time, but that didn't mean it wasn't around.
What did Chevara give her life for? No one would know but it would be a thought on every wolf's mind.... especially the Alpha's.
The lands of Aelyn seemed cursed.. two deaths... unexplained disappearances... what was to happen next? Thoughts and speculations arise as tides turn and thoughts become provoked.
What was to happen next?

These new wolves were a family. Minou ran her liquid soft eyes over them. How sweet. She felt a clench in her lower gut. Envy. She didn't feel it often, this usually horrid emotion. Bit she felt the healthy burn of it. Family. She hadn't had a family in a long time. The emotion wouldn't affect anything and was quickly gone. She cut a quick glance to Corrinth, wondering if her wanted a family, instead of just pups and a body to use. He wasn't a mean wolf but Minou wasn't delusional. She wanted family, and that meant emotion. She shifted her paws, the claws digging into the soil and flicked her ears forward as her prospective mate spoke again."Weylyn, for hunting these lands before you were part of the pack, you will be watched closely from this day on, until you can regain the approval of the pack members. You will account for your actions as if you were a loner, since that is what you were when you took prey from these lands without permission of pack leaders. And that would be me or my betess, the ones you were supposed to ask to hunt the lands of the forest."She watched with wide eyes. So he would punish the wolf. How strange, she thought ruefully. The minute she found something against him, somehow the alpha found a way around it. She smiled and then watched the scar form on the young wolf's head. It was a little much, but she could easily heal it - she hoped - when the wolf had provin himself. She watched him with blue eyes as Weylyn spoke."I accept this mark as my treachery. I am sorry for hunting upon your lands and I offer my paw in apology." She swished her tail and tipped her elegant dome at Weylyn. She held nothing against him. He didn't need her approval or forgiveness, but she gave it, just as she had given it to Snowdrift just a few minutes earlier. She turned and watched the previously mentioned white fae rose and bounded away. Weylyn soon followed and Minou watched with curiosity, wondering where they were going. But soon, the new wolves int he lands had caught her attention, and wise, intelligent eyes centered on them. The big male started to speak and the feathers betess cocked her head and listened with her triangular ears."Skull, what have I told you about approaching unfamiliar wolves, and so rudely in a territory that isn't yours?"Skull....what a strange name. But she smiled, watching the big male talk to the pup. She flicked her tail and rose to her dainty, small paws, wings ruffling idly, the feathers flicking in the breeze. He seemed not at ease so she gave them a warm, welcoming smile that made her eyes sparkle like a lake and her pelt rippled like water. She bowed slightly. "And I am Minou, newly appointed Betess of these lands," she said, tilting her head and a very bird like fashion as she watched them. She looked at Corrinth and blinked then turned back and opened her maw to ask them something but a sudden cry echoed and had her staring toward the Marshlands, ears erect and tail low.Die, foul creature. No longer will you live as I use the last of my life energy to take you out and rid you from the packlands to harm no others again. With this dying howl, I sentence you to death! With this howl, I condemn myself to death. She felt a chill. Another death. She looked back at Corrinth, ears sliding down on her head in worry. Something was happening in Aelyn.[/blockquote][/ul]
