The plains were going to make him sick. Just.. he could tell.
They reminded him so much of Tizporrah.. the plains where he had lost his daughter. Sweet Fever.. gone, forever.
Heart shook the thought from his boldly featured head, raising it proud as he moved between the bright grasses of the lands. Any that had seen him, walking in that stately manner, would have thought him the most serene and proud of creatures.
Of course, it was simply a lapse. The recent loss of his daughter pained him horribly. It was as if.. as if none of his family had ever been. First it had been Trust. Then Creek. When he had met Tribute of the Incandescence, he was sure, so very sure, that he had found his meaning in life. The only one for him. And she had told him that she felt the same. When they had been banished by her father, old snaggle-toothed Bark, they had left, to start a life of their own together. Heart smiled weakly, remembering. He had been so joyous, despite having left his mother. Tribute had been upset, but she had been glad to be with him. They had found their home - the cove, on the shoreline. They had begun a family.. Bliss of the Incandescent Silence... Fallen Sky.. and Black Fever.
A tear sadly streaked across the reddish fur of the male as he continued his stroll through the plains. He blinked it away quickly. Bliss had been the first to go.. she had caught a sickness. Soon after, Fallen Sky.. Sky had drowned in their ocean home. That was when Tribute left. Furious at his incompetence as a father, she had abandoned Heart and Fever, as well. Heart presumed, based upon direction, that she had probably returned to her home. He and Fever had left, then, and traveled for quite the while. When she had reached the age of a year, they had found a place that could be considered home. Tizporrah.
Heart shook his head roughly. Don't think about that! he scolded himself. But the point was, Fever was gone now, as well. He gave a heavy hearted sigh. So much pain.. but how could he keep living?
The maned wolf turned, angling his body towards a boulder he had reached and halting in his serious steps. He tilted his handsome head curiously, observing it with quiet interest. Gray eyes roved up and down the rock for a moment, and then, with a bright smile, he leapt with light and lethal grace unto the flat top of the great stone. He plopped his haunches down upon it, looking out across the sprawling fields with sudden excitement. The intensity of adrenaline suddenly burned at his veins.
This place was not Tizporrah. He had, of course, already known, but it was not similar in the least. In the distance - in every direction - there was something different. Mountains, trees.. he could even see the glittering, shimmery top of a waterfall from here. His black-tipped tail beat the rock with excitement. This place was one where it was most certainly very possible to enjoy a real adventure.
He couldn't wait to start exploring. The mountains looked beautiful.. the summer sun beat down upon them with intensity, causing a gentle haze to rise off of them into the air. The small piece of waterfall he could see beyond the lush green of the trees looked like a fabulously cold bit of water. And the trees themselves! Surely, walking beneath and between them was probably cool and calming to do.
Heart ruffled his fur, quivering with anticipation. Although.. many of these places were probably home to actual packs. His heart fell slightly, but then.. he didn't exactly have anything to lose. Finding a pack could heal the parts of his heart that were broken, he was sure. It would give him a new reason for living.

A deep, blood red female wolf padded from the direction of the marshlands, her paws hardly dirty, though the long fur that fell from them should have been coated and matted with mud and dirt. She flicked her ears and brushed her hair out of her face as she padded forward evermore. She was exploring a bit more, for the only lands she had really seen were the marshlands. She flicked her long tail as she tread forward through the plains.
Sway hadn't been sure of what she would find out in the plains, all things considered. Having just come from a rather outrageous and outspoken alphess, she was ready to clear her head and relax a bit.
The wind blew through her rather long, yet smooth fur, running its fingers through her especially long neck fur and tail fur. She held her raven black wings to her sides.
Her black collar was nearly hidden beneath her neck fur and her silver-colored cuff on her front left paw was the only thing that glinted in the light. Her eyes, pure white with nothing but the eyes themselves, looked around her, though others would have a hard time noticing this.
That was when she spotted another brute. She could feel excitement emanating from him. Or was it adrenaline? She wasn't sure until she approached a bit closer.
"Hello. What has got you so excited right now?" She asked as she padded closer to the boulder, though still keeping her distance.

Heart watched as the red female approached him. He tilted his head, smiling brightly at her. He had never seen a wolf like this. Where he had come from, no wolf had wings, and no wolf had strange colors or eyes. Trying to make eye contact with her would be quite difficult, it seemed. But nonetheless - he had to be polite!
And as he heard her words, Heart's mind spun into a wild craze. How in the world did she know that he was excited? Was she - like Tribute? With that empathy-power thing? Heart looked down at her and grinned in that goofy manner of his.
"These lands are absolutely beautiful," he answered, naive as always and not even considering the idea that she could be a bad wolf. He rose to his large paws and leapt nimbly from his perch to land beside the blood-colored wolf. "I've just come here from a place that.. well, didn't have much to speak of." His heart ached for the briefest of seconds, and he glanced away. Shaking off the feeling of loss, he looked back to the female, bright, lopsided grin returned. "I'm looking forward to seeing all that there is to see. If I can do that." He laughed. "Seems to be a lot of packs around here." He turned his head towards the mountains. They were the lands that caught his interest the most, the snowy peaks and the way the heat wavered along the bottoms.
"Oh! My name's Stolen Heart of the Silence!" he said suddenly, looking back to her brightly. Remembering that this female was not of the maned wolf breed, and that she may not know of their peculiar manner of naming, he added, "But I go by Heart." He waved his black tipped tail happily, waiting to hear the female's name with baited breath.

Sway nodded in response, ignoring for the moment the flicker of pain she had felt emit from the brute.
These lands are beautiful, though I've only been through the marshlands myself. Even those have some sort of beauty there, though the alphess there has something to be desired. Very outspoken and even someone stuck on herself... in the manner that she has power, not her attributes. I don't know so much about the other packlands. I do know, however, that each pack has it's own reasonings and tendancies." She paused, noticing the brute look at the Mountains.
"They're breathtaking, aren't they? Though, I'm not sure if they're exactly as nice up close... there's just something... dark.. about them. I can't explain it, really. It just is." She flicked her tail as she looked at the mountains for a moment longer before turning to face the brute again.
"I'm Sway. Currently, I am also a loner to these lands... sort of. I assume you are, considering you seem to have only just begun to take in the surroundings and beauty of these lands?" She flicked her tail again, sitting on her haunches calmly. The star shape on her thigh, deep black, much like her wings, seemed a perfect pentagram, though her fur happened to move around in that area.
She waited for the brute to reply.

Heart listened to her words with bright interest and nodded at her name. Sway. Interesting name, and of course, so typical of her general grouping. Maned wolves were accustomed to long introductions involving many different, intermixing clans, but grey wolves and the like simply stated a name, and were done with it. Nonetheless, he waved his tail happily as she questioned him.
"Yes ma'am, I'm a loner." He tilted his head slightly, observing the female. "If you don't mind me asking, how are you 'kind of' a loner?" He righted his head's angle, falling to his haunches. This seemed the sort of sensible wolf that he would not have a problem with talking to all day long. There was a sort of calming aura about her that soothed the pain. His question was quite the genuine one, of course, as all questions that the male asked were.

Sway listened to the brute and laughed a bit when he questioned her reply to being "sort of" a loner.
"Well, I am a loner, but I travel with my mate, Sphinx. We're in the class loner, because we don't belong to any packs, but we still aren't alone..." She smiled at the brute. The wind blew by, putting her long fur into motion, adding to her name's possible origins.
"Do you have any plans for the lands? Are you planning on joining a pack? There are four around here... each one having different areas they inhabit. That's about all I know, aside from the general feel of the lands as I walk past them. The lands themselves seem to be taking on the personality of the leaders or even the pack members as they evolve, though this could just be me." She sighed as she curled her long tail around her paws.
((Wow... Writers block xP))

Listening to Sway's explanation caused a slight pain in Heart's chest. His mind fell back to Fever, and to Tribute. To Sky, and Bliss. His family..
When he had travelled with Fever, it was quite true.. he never did feel like an honest loner. He hadn't been alone, having his daughter with him. His smile slid slowly off his face as he thought about her. He nodded at Sway's words about Sphinx with a heavy heart. "I know what you mean," he said softly. He blinked as she asked about what he intended to do.
Heart gave a mild mannered shrug, turning his thoughts away from his lost daughter. "I guess I might join a pack, eventually," he said thoughtfully. "I haven't been in a real pack for about two years now. Could be fun!" He chuckled brightly, already rebounding from his sudden depression.
Just another aspect of the wolf that should still be a pup.

Sway felt his pain and it almost jolted her. She hated to see him so upset, the feeling of loss, of sadness... he seemed to be a wolf that didn't deserve such things and it upset her to know he had been through that much.
"Joining a pack might be a good idea, though I'm not entirely sure if that's going to be my plan. Sphinx wants to join the Toko Forest pack... but I don't know..." She sighed... she had been in a pack... her own family... and she missed them greatly... but they were so controlling of her and she almost enjoyed being able to be as free as she was as a loner... it was liberating for her, something she hadn't had when she dwelled within her former pack and family.
"Sometimes I think packs are too restricting... THey have rules, and if you're not the alpha, you're subject to do whatever you're told, whenever you're told. The life of a loner is so much more... free." Of course, her reasoning would be due to her own esperiences, which would be the way of any wolf who had a past.
She flicked her tail and audits as she looked the brute over. Much different than the ones she was used to, but none-the-less, still a wolf and a potential friend.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Heart said, nodding to her words. He looked down at the earth beneath his paws. "The second pack I was ever in had some pretty harsh rules. 'Course, my first pack was nothing but family. Me, my mom and my dad and my sister. So, that was pretty calm, but when dad and Trust died, Mom and I left." That tragic part of his past didn't cause much pain to him anymore. It was just that - past. There was nothing left to mourn for.
"I like being a loner, but then again, I don't," he mused gently. "Being in a pack gives you a good sense of security, I think. But when you're off on your own.. or even if you're with someone.. there's always that feeling that anything could happen. It's exciting but it can be a little scary at times, you know?"

Oh yes, she knew! "I know exactly what you mean. Security is almost better than being free, but a life that is too safe is such a bore if you ask me. I don't know.... I might join a pack, but if I do, I want to find one that suits me and that can still let me be me without having to be a drone and a grunt, so to speak, for the alpha and any others who might hold higher power than me. I want it to feel like a family." This brute was very easy to talk to... and she seemed to almost pour out as much information about herself as he did about himself.
Of course, she hadn't said much about her past pack... how her father was overbearing and tried to find any way to break her from Sphinx.. how her mother treated her like she was nothing and raised her brothers on their pedestals... no, she was glad she left, though she did love and miss her family.. it needed to be done.. she needed to free herself of her open prison.

Heart nodded brightly at the female's words. "Exactly. A pack that doesn't feel like a family feels more like.. hmm." He paused, considering his words carefully and looking up at the lazy clouds floating past. "It feels more like some kind of army." He observed the female closely now, gray eyes twinkling merrily. "You should have been born a maned wolf, with that state of mind," he said. "Usually, our packs are nothing but family. When you get older, around a year or two, your parents - the alphas - will release you to start your own clan. You can live the life of a loner for years, if you want, until you find the right wolf to spend your life with, and then you can either return to one of your old clans or you can settle down right where you are and start a new one. And since we all stay pretty nearby each other, it's usually not too far to visit your old clan. And when clans merge!" Heart gave a bark of joyous laughter, remembrance. "The most brilliant things can happen!" He looked into the female's pupilless eyes, glad to be able to share some of his breed's culture with another. Truly, the maned wolves had quite the system of doing things - in Heart's view, there was none better.

Nynx trotted into the Kumori Plains. This terra was unfamiler to her paws. She sniffed the air. This land was a no wolf zone. No Alpha's ruled this land. Nynx belonged to the mountain pack, she was simply exploring the land of Aelyn. She sat down and sighed. The trip down the mountain was hard on her paws. The ice was melting and made the ground slippery and the ground muddy. Nynx carefully removed a thorn from her left paw. The thorn came from a giant bush. Nynx heard something, she lowered herself to the ground and waited. Her eyes began to closed when she heard the sound moving closer. Shit Nynx thought. She flicked her tail waiting for the animal that made the noise. She guessed it was a female.

((Posting Order:
Sway Heart Nynx
Any objections?))
Sway listened, catching the scent of another wolf nearby. She turned her head, not meaning to basically ignore the brute before her, but she knew it was a bad idea to wander alone around here.
"Something I have found here though, that a loner will probably want to join a pack.. there are dangers that lurk here that are far beyond what I have ever even heard of. It's attacked... sort of.. more or less approached and threatened the pack that lives in the waterfall. Just a friendly warning that I have heard." She smiled at the brute and looked in the direction that the scent of the femme came from. She waited for them to reveal themselves... for she had no power here, nor did she want to seem like she did.
((Gotta go for now, happy RPing!))

Heart, too, caught the scent of the female. He turned his head curiously, smiling brightly and looking for her to reveal herself. His black-tipped tail beat the ground quietly in his amiable fashion, gray eyes searching for her amongst the underbrush. With a light-hearted shrug, however, he turned back to look at Sway, assuming that the other wolf would show herself in all good time.
"Wow, does anybody know what it is?" he asked her, riveted by the idea of such a danger. Then his heart seemed to pause in its beating.
It couldn't be a monster.. right?
Like the thing that had attacked himself and his daughter..

Nynx narrowed her eyes. She came into the area where the two wolves were. She tilted her head with interest. Nynx flicked her tail, this was not her pack lands. The wolves seemed lax and not hostile. Any wolf would attack if it was annoyed enough. Nynx opened her muzzle to speak." I am Nynx Baskil. My home is the Misuteriasu Mountains. I am just exploring the land of Aelyen." Nynx shifted her weigh onto her left leg. Her right leg was still hurting from the journey from the marshlands. Nynx looked at the brute, he was handsome looking. The female smelled familiar. 'Sway was it?' Nynx asked though her mind. She loved talking Telepathy.

Sway flicked her tail. She looked at the brute and replied solemnly.
"I don't know exactly what it is. I haven't seen it, but from the warning howl received by Masina, it didn't sound good." She sighed as she finished this, which was when the femora, Nynx, approached.
"How are you Nynx. Long time no see. Is your time being well spent in the mountians?" Sway was civilized with Nynx. Nothing had gone bad between the two, it was just Sway didn't like the feeling in the Mountains and she didn't mind letting that distaste show. She flicked her tail and turned back to Heart.
The telepathy didn't bother Sway all that much... she was used to it with Sphinx... but what right did Nynx have in getting into her mind and using it like that? That's what caused Sway's words to sound the way they did.

Heart smiled at the newly emerged female, and glanced nervously between her and Sway. Sway knew this wolf? Heart ruffled his reddish fur in a pleasant manner before looking back to Nynx. He tilted his head gently and grinned at her, left ear hanging loosely to the left in a charming, if a little pup-like, fashion.
"Hi, Miss Nynx, I'm Heart." He chose to leave the rest of his name out of the equation - after all, it was rather long. He rose to his paws, ruffling his fur again in order to remove little specks of dirt from his thick pelt. Sway's words caught his attention, and with a gray-eyed glance at the blood-colored female, he looked back to Nynx with newfound interest.
Naturally, being the way he was, he hadn't even heard Nynx's introduction - it had gone through one white-tipped ear and out the other.

Nynx narrowed her black eyes. She bowed glanced at Sway. She saw this wolf before. Sway has been in the marshlands while Nynx was Alphenss for a short while. Nynx had nothing against Sway, She was just not close to her. "Hello." Nynx was curt. She padded over to a fallen branch. Could she make freinds? Or would these wolves chase her off? Nynx thought of Mira for a moment. The Alpha female of the mountains was not around much. Nynx glanced at heart, she tilted her head. "Its a pleasure to meet you Heart.""Sorry for entering your mind Sway. I just got exited." Nynx Admitted.
