Zircon often spent his time alone, though he enjoyed very much the company of others. At this point, he was very much alone in a new land that he randomly walked into, though he wasn't sure how. He could tell that his homeland was nowhere near here... if it was even on the same plane... and so he was completely and utterly alone. He knew no one here, he felt no presence of any others at this particular moment... he didn't even know what the land itself was like, having only recently appeared onto these lands.
He looked around, dazzled and confused, though always on constant alert. What was this place? Where did I end up? How did I get here? He sighed to himself, unsure of what exactly to do or where to go. He was in a strange place, away from everything he ever knew. He looked to the skies, only to find them covered in clouds. He hoped desperately it would rain, though with what he felt around him, he was sure it would at least be several hours until it would.... though when it did, there was the chance of lightning. That thought alone was enough to calm his nerves and to cause the electric blue electricity to coarse faster over his dark body.
He flicked his tail as he looked around once more. Nighttime was going to fall soon, he needed to find a place to sleep, and quick... though he really didn't care if he stayed out in the open all night... He thought this would be the ideal option for him, which is what he opted for. He smiled contentedly to himself, sitting calmly and deciding that he would sit here in whatever these plains might be called, and wait to find out what would happen next... what experiences he might encounter... what creatures he might meet. He let loose a contented sigh.

The fresh spring air was crisp as Obsidian glided through the skies with fatigue blatantly displaying in his flight. Part of him found Celestia's recommendation to be faulty, after all...it was a telling him to go pursue his desires and passions. He could not believe how pathetic his intuition must have been in order to give in to her wisdom. Despite this belief, Obsidian still found himself fascinated by that little wolf and her appearance from the heavens.
Obsidian sighed as night began to fall, he hated how cold the air was on spring nights, however he did admire the beauty pearlescent moon shining above him beyond the clouds. There was nothing more he loved than a glamorous waning gibbous, lighting his path.
Suddenly, a sharp emotion dragged Obsidian away from his thought. He noticed that he had finally reached the Kumori Plains---the infamous mountainless and hill-less terrain that stretched for miles and miles.
Far below as the fiery wolf descended, he could see the silhouette of a dark ominous wolf-like creature standing amidst the nightly phosphorescence.

Zircon sat in the moonlight, his electric markings coursing over his body, causing a luminous blue hue to glow around his dark form. He sat calmly, his wings folded gently to his sides as he looked at the scene around him. He remained silent, still, until he caught the mixed feelings of another brute nearby. This perked his interest as he often enjoyed company, especially that of the same gender as he.
Turning his electric blue eyes toward the source of the emotions, he found a fiery looking wolf, gray pelt with large dragonic wings, landing behind him in the distance. Zircon picked his form up and with ease, turned to face the direction the brute was coming from. His electric eyes were illuminated by the rays of moonlight that attempted to peek out from behind the cloud banks.
His black maw grinned as the brute approached him. This brute was rather good looking in his opinion, though Zircon kept those thoughts to himself until he learned more about him or even his personal preferences on partners. Zircon had been alone most of his life and any company, whether it be friendship or more, was more than welcome, though he had never had any sort of relationship beyond friendship with anyone in his life.

Obsidian closely scanned this fellow brute, and fortunately did not sense anything ominous from the beast. The electric blue eyes of this mysterious wolf shined out and could be noticed from Obsidian's descent. They were quite striking, and as the fiery wolf glided downward he could see the exact details of him. Deep within his mind, Obsidian smiled---this wolf was extremely attractive, perhaps one of the most attractive brutes he had ever set eyes upon.
Uneasily, Obsidian continued his descent until his paws met the ground. Unfortunately, he nearly inadvertently tripped over his own feet in the midst of this other wolf's piercing gaze. Without provocation, Obsidian began to blush in embarrassment---trying not to make eye contact with him.

Zircon watched as the brute approached. He stumbled within his landing slightly, but Zircon merely smiled and thought inwardly that this was a cute thing for him to do. The gray-orange brute hadn't spoke, so Zircon thought he would speak first.
"Hello, stranger. What brings a handsome wolf such as yourself to these beautiful lands?" His voice was calm and smooth. He tended to have a way with words when it came to meeting others, since he often loved the company of others, but never truly could enjoy true company because of his loner state and his alternative preferences. He padded slowly toward the brute before him, taking in his every feature and glancing him up in down, basically checking him out. He smiled... his previous statement had been quite the understatement.. this wolf wasn't just handsome, he was gorgeous!
"Oh, please forgive me. My name is Zircon. And you would be?" He smiled at him and stopped a few feet from him to give the brute space, in case his approach made him uncomfortable. Zircon was a flirt, and it was blatantly obvious, though he was a flirt with every male he met in an attempt to bring out one that wasn't afraid to love him.. though he had never met another wolf who loved male wolves like Zircon did. Zircon wasn't expecting this brute to like him, but within his own philosophy, it didn't hurt to try!

Obsidian began to blush slightly at the presence of Zircon, he seemed so powerful....dark...and majestic. Three qualities Obsidian found irresistible. For a moment the wolf's mind went completely blank, he could not think of anything to reply with. Incessantly, Obsidian stared at the brute, also scanning his entire bodily structure. One thing he admired implicitly was the swoth of hair over his eye.
"Errr um...I am....uhh who am I? Obsidian joked around for a moment, trying not to appear ridiculous in the eyes of this magnificent creature. OBSIDIAN! he gasped, nearly falling over at the utter difficulty of even speaking.
Handsome stranger.. Those words surged through the fiery wolf's mind, did he mean 'handsome' in the context that he would think of it as? Or was this a wolf who was just trying to be respectful and kind? Whatever his intentions were, Obsidian could not find the strength to actually delve Zircon's emotions---for some odd reason, the very gaze he gave seemed to paralyze him entirely.
I have...no clue why I'm here...

Zircon smiled wider at the wolf before him. He was so adorable! He bowed his head in respect, his hair falling gently over his eye and he gently brushed it back easily with a flick of his head. He folded his dark wings to his sides, electricity coursing over his body as he waited and listened.
"Quite the articulate one, aren't we?" He smiled as he continued to look at Obsidian, intrigued by this wolf very much. He was picking up his every emotion and it amused him more. He was also picking up that this wolf might be more similar to himself than he would think, though Zircon vowed not to get his hopes up just yet. He knew the hurt of such things and vowed to himself long ago that he would be more careful.
"So, your name is Obsidian and you have no idea as to why you are here? Well, an angel must have sent you this way to answer my prayers. I was hoping for greater company and here you are. I couldn't ask for anyone more handsome and cute as you!" He smiled a dazzling smile his way as he stood and took a few pawsteps closer. He held paused merely a foot from the brute before him, allowing his scent to linger upwind toward Obsidian.
"So, now that you're here.. tell me about yourself? Surely someone as intriguing as you has something that you could share with me? Oh, and might I say, you have the most interesting fur color.. I've never seen anything like it... yet another thing that truly astounds me about you and your appearance. Something else that makes you all that much more attractive." He grinned, daring to flirt with him and try to feel out exactly how this brute was and if this brute held the same feelings that Zircon did. Zircons instincts were telling him that this brute was looking for similar things that Zircon was looking for and Zircon wasn't about to let this chance fly away... literally.

A dumbfounded expression formed on Obsidian's face as he blushed with more sanguine hue than the very element he manipulated. He could not believe that this peculiarly sexy wolf was flirting with him, the fiery brute had never had anybody speak to him in this manner.
"Um...well...my element is fire...and I can manipulate it. Other than that...I'm fairly...b...b....boring..." Obsidian stuttered, trying to hide his blushing face from Zircon's wandering eyes. Granted part of Obsidian enjoyed his wandering eyes---it was about time his looks got some attention.
If this means anything, I find you extremely attractive as well...especially those electrical eyes of yours." whispered Obsidian, still blushing uncontrollably. He felt so ridiculous.

Zircon watched as his words made the wolf blush. He grinned and gave a sidelong look at Obsidian. So this wolf was easily influenced by words. Zircon would have to remember this for future reference. He listened a bit farther and found that this brute thought him attractive too, especially his eyes. Zircon smiled more and looked at him directly in the eyes with his own, sparks shining within them.
"So you must have some other things that make you interesting. I'm sure you have more to you than just fire, though fire in and of itself is, forgive the pun, hot." He winked at Obsidian after he said this and sat calmly with his wings folded to his sides and his tail curled around his paws. Electricity coursed over his body as he spoke.
Zircon smiled at Obsidian as he thought for a moment. He wanted to figure out more about this wolf, but he wasn't sure how to do so. "What are your likes, your dislikes. How do you feel about thunderstorms? Sunsets?" He gestured to the sky, where thunder rumbled in the distance and clouds had covered the moon and stars that had previously fought and lost to shine down upon them.

Obsidian battled valiantly against Zircon's powerful attempts and making him blush; however, he failed. He could not figure out why this wolf was coming onto him like this---it was like a slap in the face, a rather flattering slap in the face.
"Thunderstorms are very beautiful...if it wasn't for the rain I'd probably fly through them---my element tends to not like getting wet. However...I find them to be quite electrifying." Obsidian explained, trying to maintain a serious tone in his voice.
Carefully avoiding eye contact with Zircon, Obsidian folded his wings and sat down. His smokey mane wafted around him mysteriously as he turned his interested eyes upon the ground casually.

Zircon watched as Obsidian blushed some more. He was quite enjoying having this sort of power over him. He wondered what else he could do to cause the fiery wolf to blush. Obsidian had begun to keep his gaze from Zircon's eyes, but Zircon wouldn't have any of this. He came even closer, merely inches away from Obsidian and reached his tail around, the electricity warm against the fur of Obsidian's that his tail gently caressed, pulling his maw to face Zircon's face dead on, eyes having little choice to meet. Zircon's maw was merely an inch away from Obsidian's maw as he did this. Lightning gently caressed Obsidian's face as Zircon touched his tail to his maw.
"You really shouldn't avert your eyes... they're really quite amazing." Zircon whispered quietly to Obsidian as he attempted to make direct eye contact with him. Zircon smiled his wolfish smile toward Obsidian as he said this and waited for his reaction.
"Thunderstorms are amazing... I love the rain part. I love the lightning most of all." Zircon said as he released his tail from the bottom of Obsidian's maw. He continued to smile as he lowered his tail and remained sitting as close as he was to the brute.

Obsidian turned his eyes away as his face lit up beneath a glowing aura. Unfortunately for him and his fiery properties, blushing caused his face to light aflame. At the same time, Obsidian found Zircon's power to be quite attractive and electrifying...literally.
"So...you like my eyes?" Obsidian whispered as he turned back and stared deeply into Zircon's eyes. Passionately, his pupils molded into burning flames, "your eyes are just as shocking....they take my breath away."
In an inkling, Obsidian changed his mood from being shy to being out right confident.

Zircon quite enjoyed pulling these reactions from Obsidian and had all intensive purposes to continue, though he wasn't quite prepared for the fiery brute to be so forward. This was a turn of events and Zircon blushed mildly at this response. Damn, things were starting to move fast!
Taking a pawstep closer to Obsidian so his face gently brushed against Obsidians, he whispered quietly into the fiery brutes ear. "Careful, dear... You have no idea what words like that are capable of." He grinned as he pulled his face away slightly and stared deeply into Obsidian's fiery eyes with his electric blue ones. The electricity upon Zircon's pelt crackled with the change of emotions between the two wolves.
Zircon thought quickly, wondering what else he could do in order to sway Obsidian more than he already had. This was when inspiration struck. He would serenade him!
"Words cannot express No matter how hard I try The life that you've woke up From me deep inside.
Your eyes are like fire Captivating my heart Stealing my breath away I now know my part.
I know my place Finally found where I belong I've found the love I've hidden As I sing to you this song.
Eyes like fire You gaze at me Pelt like lightning I gaze at you.
I've finally found my place My home and my life Beneath the starry skies On this beautiful night."
Zircon wasn't sure how well that would sound, only because he thought it up right on the spot, but Obsidian had instilled within him poetry and inspiration that Zircon had all but lost. He smiled kindly at the dark brute before he tilted his head to one side, waiting for a reaction. He flicked his hair back and gently gazed at Obsidian with eyes full of life and hope that had long since been squandered.

Obsidian nearly buried his head in the ground like an ostrich after listening to this beautiful poem Zircon recited. The fiery brute was poetic himself, and really did not realize that there were other poetic wolves out there. Confidently after recovering, he picked his head up and stared directly at Zircon.
"I know I cannot suppress, No matter how far I fly The life of spring is in me Carrying my heart toward the sky...
The electricity in your soul, Electrifies every fiber in my being Your beauty surpasses all I know not what I am seeing..."
"Words are definitely powerful." he whispered.
Wittily, Obsidian wore a sly smile on his face. He wanted to show off his ability to use words; however, he did not want to give too much away. Part of him wanted someone to fight for the use of his talent. After all, nobody really showed any interest in Obsidian's ability in the past---so this kind of treatment was a bit confusing to him.
Slowly, his mind reverted back to what Celestia had told him regarding the idea of pursuing his passions. Was this wolf one of his underlying passions?

Zircon listened with his eyes closed as Obsidian recited a poem in reply to his previous words. He smiled to himself as he listened intently and calmly to his words. Upon Obsidian's finish, he opened his electric blue eyes. Within them, electricity seemed to spark to life as he gazed at Obsidian deeply. His eyes danced with electric wonder as he admired Obsidian and his smooth use of words.
"You really do have a way with words, Obsidian." He said Obsidian's name in a different, more flirtatious tone. He took a pawstep closer and gazed even deeper into Obsidian's eyes, his eyes a fiery electricty. He looked from one eye to the other as he smiled romantically.
"Where did one such as yourself learn to speak such poetic verse? I honestly can't say that I've heard such beautiful words spoken in my life. Perhaps you could recite some more? I would love to hear your voice speak such sweet music to me." He grinned seductively as he gazed deeply into Obsidian's eyes.

Flirtatiously, Obsidian smiled and flicked his tail, trailing a bit of his bodily smoke into Zircon's seductively romantic face in a joking manner.
"I'm afraid that's all you're going to get for now, Mr. Lightning." Obsidian giggled, attempting to play hard to get. "Besides...I want to know more about this incredibly charming wolf standing before me. Where do you come from? Where is your family? And why are you as alone as I am? There is so many things I'd like to ask you!" Obsidian nodded, while randomly staring off toward the sky, hoping to hear the beautiful voice of this newly found wolf.
Calmly and patiently, he flicked his tail once more, tickling the electrical brute's chin playfully. Obsidian could not believe he was acting this way and actually flirting with this other male wolf. Then again, what was flirting? He had never flirted before in his entire life.
"Well, what are you waiting for!" Obsidian smirked.

Zircon gazed at Obsidian with lightning filled eyes as he smirked. "You really think you can get me to talk that easily?" He laughed as he closed his eyes and paused for one moment. Upon opening his eyes, his pelt began to crackle from lightning bursts. He grinned and paused one moment more before speaking again.
"I think that you'd best answer my questions first, Obsidian." He laughed as the lightning soared toward Obsidian. Upon touching his pelt, it sizzled and cracked, though no harm came to the fiery wolf. Instead, Zircon was attempting to tickle the brute into speaking. Tickle Torture!
"Now, what brought you to this area, Obsidian? I have a plan... You answer one question, then I'll answer one question... makes it fair and even, yes? Besides, I'm not going to stop until you agree." He laughed again. His more playful side was showing as Obsidian changed his outward personality, so would Zircon.

Obsidian rolled his eyes and glanced at Zircon with fire in his pupils. He wasn't sure whether he should be annoyed, flattered, or intimidated. Nevertheless, he felt as though he should abide to Zircon's requests and just answer the questions he already asked.
"Oh very well. Regarding the poetry...I've always been able to think of fascinating words that just flow out of me fluently...I don't really know how to explain it." Obsidian paused for a moment, thinking about the next question Zircon had asked.
"And regarding why I'm here...I will tell you honestly. I pretty much had a small wolf pup tell me to follow my passions, and she told me to come here...so that's what brought me here." Obsidian let out a slight chuckle at the idea that he obeyed a small pup. It seemed so far fetched to him and he expected Zircon to feel the same way. It's not every day a full grown brute obeys a tiny youngling.
"Now that I've answered your question, care to answer mine, big boy?" Obsidian wore half a smile.

Zircon watched and smirked as Obsidian spoke and heeded his words. So, now it was Zircon's turn to answer a question. He thought that since Obsidian answered two questions, he would do the same, but only two questions. Obsidian would have to ask the other question again should he want him to really answer.
"Well, where I come from is very far away. I had been travelling for a long distance when I somehow ended up here in Aelyn. I couldn't tell you how to get back to my homeland, even if I wanted to. Now, as for why I am so alone, that's an easy one. I'm different, much in the same way that you're different. I could ask you the same question." He smiled, though when talking about his homeland, there was a certain sadness that any empath would pick up that he pushed aside. It was the past and there was nothing he could do about it.
Zircon paused for a moment before he asked his next question. "So now that you know a little about me, it's my turn to ask a question of you. What made you decide to listen to said pup?" He flicked his tail and smiled. He didn't think it was wrong to do such a thing, though the idea of listening to a pup as a grown wolf did seem kind of different than the standard and this interested Zircon very much.

Obsidian took a deep sigh. Part of him knew that Zircon would ask this question, an inquiry that he found still bewildered himself. What could he possibly give as an explanation, Obsidian still did not understand why him and this Celestia puppy even crossed paths let alone befriended one another.
"Well...she told me to follow my desires...and pursue my passions and not to fear them. I've realized that I neglect what I want all the time...and eventually forget about my passions. Celestia...that was her name...reminded me how how important I am...and that I need to pay heed to myself." Obsidian explained with in depth detail and emotion.
The fiery brute was left in a slight moment of complete emotional disarray as he thought about the life he had wasted pursuing meaningless things, not paying any heed to his own wants and needs.
"What do you think of....love?" life seemed to trickle back into his voice as he lifted his fiery eyes, facing Zircon directly.
